Hotellet ligger meget centralt med kun 10 minutters gang til stranden hvor der er flere gode restauranter.

Lidt større udvalg af morgenmadsprodukter ville være ønskeligt for en vesterlænding, det er tydeligt at det er asiatisk mad der satses på. Det blev til lidt ristet hvidt brød med smør og æg til, og kaffen var nærmest udrikkelig. Men personalet var flinke og hjælpsomme må jeg så til gengæld sige.

One of the elevators always broken and dont function. Probably electric saving purposes. Also the elevator buttons at the floors very hard to work. You have to push strong.

Front desk never mentioned breakfast ends at 9 am. Seemed uninterested in customer service. 1 elevator inop. Small room like a closet. Hot water not working well. Cold shower. Difficult parking. Cannot see through old window tint. Not much to like. Will not stay here again.

The location is awesome, the room was breathtaking and the staff was on top of things

Gute Möglichkeit, um eine Nacht zu überbrücken, wenn man z.B. am nächsten Morgen abfliegt oder die Fähre nach Siquijor zu nehmen.

There was no shampoo in our bathroom.

Not having a swimming pool

The restaurant was fantastic, unlike the hotel. The staff in the restaurant were friendly, knowledgeable, and personable. I want to give a special shoutout to Johnny, who was an amazing waiter. Sadly, the awesome performance by the restaurant was completely overshadowed by the filth of the hotel and no internet.

When I was booking the room I had the option of booking the room or booking with high speed internet. I paid the extra and booked with high speed internet. Sadly, the internet was intermittent at best and impossible to do any work on. The hotel is also a dead zone for mobile data. The mattresses in our room were shredded and filthy filthy dirty. The cleaning staff would come super early in the morning to clean the room and if we were busy i.e.. in the shower, they simply didn't come back the rest of the day unless we went out and actively made them do so. The TV had no TV channels and only YouTube. However, with no internet we could not use even YouTube. When I tried to talk to the front desk about these issues their only advice was to take it up with booking.com as the mattresses and the no internet were the fault of booking.com. They refused to rectify the situation.

No complimentary coffee or tea in the room though there was a hot water kettle. Beds were uncomfortable. Breakfast was poor. The windows were so dirty you couldn't see out of them and the rooms were so noisy with traffic hard to get any sleep even though we changed rooms with the same problem. The shower was always cold, no hot water.

First night was a nightmare...we were there to relax but the staff trying to fix the horrible internet connection knocked out the electric and we had to insure screaming kids on the staff',s phone half the night as they tried to fix the electric. For both nights virtually no internet

The staff was were not very good. Check in was a nightmare. The hotel was having issues with power and internet but the staff was more focused on their makeup than making sure the guest that were waiting were comfortable and taken care of. I used to give high praise to this hotel as I have stayed many times there. But the last two stays have been horrible as far as service. The rooms are were only low to standard. Not above as in previous stays. Within one hours time around midnight. I had to change rooms twice due to isssues with the room

A hotel without wow factor Bookings.com said they have tea and coffee facilities in the description but that’s not true So I had to pay for a upgrade to the larger room for 25 euros per day Breakfast was ordinary no choices The breakfast room looks like a staff canteen and the only highlight was the male waiter who was excellent a true professional hospitality worker

It was a nice experience. The staff (Jethro), the one who ushered us to check the room was very accommodating. A quiet place to rest and very spacious which I really loved. The food is nice . Sure to book when I'm in dumaguete.

Place always has parking (in our case). Hotel location is superb when you want to go anywhere around city main.

We booked 13 rooms. Some rooms did not have hot water. Some rooms smelled like strong bleach and some room's toilets where in an awkward place (like center of the restroom, not resting on one side). Bidets were at the left.

The hotel like a lot of hotels in the Philippines could do with a little upgrading but I would stay there again without fail if I was going to Dumaguete the staff were excellent and attentive from check in to check out nothing was a problem everything was perfect. Thank you.

Hotel Essencia always delivers. An easy ride from the port, the hotel has ample parking, a professional staff, and that breakfast is worth every penny. Sure, it's a dated hotel, but that is what makes Essencia special.

Essencia has everything I need when visiting Dumaguete. It's a dated hotel, but that's what makes it special. Breakfast is legit and the location is near Lee Market and other restaurants. The room televisions are equipped with YouTube and other popular streaming platforms. Comfortable beds and hot shower is a plus. Professional staff and easy check-in and out.

There's a certain amount of traffic noise that should be expected, but it's not that big of a deal.

Worst “WiFi” I’ve ever had anywhere I’ve stayed in the last five years of traveling.

The free breakfast is near the Sans Rival Cafe and near the airport. This is our 2nd time staying in the hotel, but we loved our room before that, which we had during our stay. But it's still nice and comfy

De vriendelijkheid van het personeel was goed. De locatie is goed gelegen. De oppervlakte van de kamer OK.

Ik heb de suite gehuurd omdat er op foto een bubbelbad aanwezig was. Het bubbelbad werkte niet. Ik liet dit weten en er zou iemand langskomen. Dezelfde avond niet hersteld. Volgende dag niemand meer gezien. Daarnaast werkte de wifi niet, alsook de smartfunctie op de tv. Heel jammer, want de kamer zelf incl. terras was een topper.

It was indeed a great experienced staying at Hotel Essencia. The food was very good. The staffs were so friendly, accommodating and helpful.

Actually everything was good except for the water heater. I don't know if there was a switch or something. I was always in a hurry so I didn't get the chance to ask for assistance. I love taking a bath with warm water. Anyway next time I'll ask for assistance.

Location mostly and fair value for money

Bathroom and towels...No hot water...low quality faucets...dirty floor (had to wear my slipper all the time)...air conditioning very poor.

Worst (hardest) bed I've ever slept on. My back is still sore from that night. It's been 3 nights ago.

The best price for the comfort in Dumaguete city

One of the things we especially enjoyed was the property’s convenient location near the boulevard, which made it easy to take relaxing morning walks and enjoy the waterfront atmosphere.

The property is showing its age and could benefit from some updating and a deeper level of cleaning. The overall appearance feels somewhat tired and dated, and the guest rooms are quite dark. A few of the light fixtures were not working during our stay, which added to the impression that the rooms could use some refreshing and maintenance.
