My wife, our son and I really enjoyed our stay. The place was beautiful, peaceful, clean and comfortable. The surroundings were lovely and it was a great place for our family.

Lovely park like setting and beautiful, comfortable room. We also enjoyed the food at the restaurant

Always an easy check in! Even if it's late, owner always accommodates and makes things sooo simple!

How the room was a bit dirty

Room was quiet and peaceful and went from icebox cold to warm fairly soon. View over the river was lovely. A well kept property and close to restaurant for dinner.

Bathroom floor was freezing (stone) and shower curtain undersized - didn't quite make the full size of the shower which caused water seepage. Coud have done with a glass or microwave bowl for cooking.

Having a wood burner in room was wonderful and created a cosy ambiance to the room. Found the staff to be friendly , helpful and respectful.

Crack in hand basin , ants, cobwebs and dead spiders behind TV and cabinet. Room could do with a make over.

Lovely peaceful setting. Clean and comfortable with all amenities you would need. It was great to have the little fire place, and to be able to just wander down to the Quails nest for dinner. We will definitely re-book!

Unfortunately there were two lights in the bathroom that were not working( above mirror) So it was a wee bit difficult to get ready in the morning.

Close to town yet quiet and comfortable, easy check in and 24hr gym on the property. River View side accommodations are pure magic and The Quail’s Nest Restaurant is a favourite. Rooms are well-appointed and modern.

The toiletries are a bit skimpy, and no shower gel. Otherwise I can’t fault One Burgess Hill in any way.

Loved the view and the spa bath. Absolute bonus that there is a log burner. Lovely and peacefull area to stay in

Everything as per usual!! It's our go to place to stay in New Plymouth. From the great veiws to the excellent facilities and it's only 5 minutes to New Plymouth.

Nice and secluded loved having pur own space in the "Penthouse Apartment". Had stovetop, microwave and dishwasher. Bath was great and the bath bag with salts was a beautiful touch.

Would have loved to have an oven as we loved staying in and cooking

The view and location were amazing, overlooking the river and bush. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable but I wish I had booked another room as the bed was small.

Very basic and old room, not best value for money

Neighbour was smoking on the balcony and so we couldn't have our window or door open. A few light globes weren't working so the dining area was very dark.

The view was good. The manager was very awesome and the Bible was good and it was very nice clean place we'll stay there again

The apartment was large and super comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. The bathroom was large with a spa tub and shower. The large windows at back provided an excellent view of the river valley. There is a nice forest/river side trail that is a walking distance from the property. The location is close to the Mangorei Trail we wanted to walk. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The internet was slow sometimes.

This is my favorite place to stay when in New Plymouth. The staff are lovely and the rooms are beautiful and clean.

Wonderfully tucked in from busy areas of New Plymouth. Peaceful, quiet sanctuary with lush greenery and wonderful restaurant. Will continue to return to this gem for a weekend getaway. Really pleasant and kind staff!

It was a wet weekend when we stayed here. Our apartment had carpet right from the entrance. Could be helpful to put some kind of small mat right where you step inside the apartment so that we don’t bring in wet dirt on the carpet.

One Burgess Hill surpassed our expectations. It’s located close to the Mangorei Track, which we hiked that day, yet only 10 minutes from town. The view is lovely, and the place is spacious. Dining room, kitchenette, & living room downstairs, 2 bedrooms and bathroom upstairs (1/2 bath downstairs).

The kitchenette was a little awkward and cramped, but it’s a minor issue.

"IYKYK" Clean, tidy, well-presented room and Host was lovely, highly recommend, we love that's it's just out of town away from everything, love the rural outlook, and to top it off a perfect little restaurant on the property 5*

Stunning, serene location. A perfect place to stay if you are climbing the mountain or exploring New Plymouth. The 2-bedroom unit we booked was spacious with a beautiful outlook.

The rooms size is great and thw staff is lovely! Nice views and amazing restaurant. Rooms are very quiet and private. Room service is provided every day. The hotel is just outside new plymouth, location is a short drive to the Pouakai tarns circuit track.

No complains. Gym is small but you dont need a gym at such great location.

The location and the view was spectacular. So peaceful and relaxing. The bath is absolutely amazing lol-like a pool. Love that it is slightly out of New Plymouth and love that there were no kids! Staff were just lovely.

Telly was a bit poor in choice, and the bar menu is pretty expensive for what you actually get-but again...the view...wow.
