I loved the breakfast especially the continental, the staff were lovely, they couldn't do enough for you, the rooms were very spacious.

The mattress could do with replacing as one side had a big dip in it and some better pillows.

Easy, efficient check-in. Staff friendly upon arrival and departure. Food and drink in the Pub reasonably priced.

Extractor fan in the bathroom was very loud, and stayed on for sometime after switching the bathroom light off. Did not make the stay unpleasant it was just a little bit annoying.

The ridiculous breakfast menu. As before we ordered the light” scrambled egg on toast,x2). advertised at 4.99 including a hot drink. However the assistant wanted to charge £18 +, saying the drinks were not included,which it clearly says they are,on the menu, she couldn’t explain why. Finished up charging 11.50 ish. she said she didn’t understand the menu either.The scrambled egg was tasteless,the bread was thick ,half burned on the edges,and not toasted in the middle. Mentioned to another staff member who sympathised and said would pass on the information. ??

Although a Greene King brewery owned hotel, there was no real ale available

Staff were friendly, food was lovely, bed was comfy, room was clean. If it hadn't been for the problem with the toilet flushing properly then this would have been a 5* stay. Such a shame.

Toilet took between 6 to 8 times to flush properly, this was reported to reception next morning and I was reassured this would be dealt with, it wasn't, same problem on day two. Such a basic requirement and to be told it would be dealt with and then it wasn't was very disappointing.

Thought it was good value for money. Beds very comfy, room was basic but clean

Didn't like benches outside. Lovely day but as an elderly person, found it difficult to use them. A few chairs & tables would have been better.

The Hotel was great and clean The breakfast how ether was not a nice experience. I have stayed here twice and both times Breakfast was a big issue, The breakfast restaruant is not part of the Hungry Horse, Its a franchise. The problem was the breakfast times 0730 -9.00 I arrived at breakfast at 8:50 with my wife as we were attending a family funeral in Hull. Before we even sat down we were barraged with at leat 10 questions of what we wanted for breakfast as the restarant was closing at 9am. The female member of staff rushed us so much we just ordered blind and felt streessed and very unhappy. The rest of our family party were shocked how we were treated just because they wanted to close at 9am. The staff were packing food and cutlery around us as we were trying to make a coffee and shouting be quick if you want cereal as were taking it away now. This was 08:55 ??? The cooked breakfast was rushed and cold and we left it as it was horrible and we felt upset that a nice morning meeting with family was rushed into 10 min. This is the second time we have stayed at the hotel and the breakfast again was the same rushed by staff and cold with no effort with presentation. The breakfast cost £9.00 each and to be fair happy with the price but unless your at your table for 8am you will be rushed and shocked how your treated. I would stay at the hotel again as it was great. BUT NEVER HAVE THE BREAKFAST UNLESS YOU CAN EAT IT IN 2MIN !!!!!!

The breakfast was excellent, fully cooked breakfast and plenty of continental breakfast food too. The room was really spacious with a king size bed and sofa, plus a good size tv.

Enjoyable stay. Breakfast doesn't look like much, big plates, but so tasty. Loads of cereal, and danish plus toast and a cuppa tea. Bacon overcooked. Super bath, fills quick, lots of hot water. TV had a decent picture. The staff were great 👍.

Beds are a tad firm, had a sore back for a few days but didn't put me off my stay. My room smelled slightly of smoke.

The breakfast was outstanding. So much choice, there is a set menu but there are cereals and pastries if you prefer. You can refill your drink as much as you like. Excellent

We had a cool room, no sunshine which was a bonus as it was very hot both days we stayed !

Loud music in the breakfast room . . . . why and why so loud ?! Our room was a long way from reception and we both have walking difficulties, so it was a trek to breakfast and then back to our room each morning. Having said that it was quiet, which we enjoyed as it was Saturday and Sunday nights.

Location is good and ample car parking. Room and bed very comfortable.

The beds were comfy, there was a fan in the room as weather was hot.

Could have window open till late as a group of lads playing football outside the window.

Needs upgrading, but that is reflected in the pricing. Food was ok. Not enough plug sockets ( especially next to the bed). I had to stand on the toilet to switch the expelair extractor fan on in the bathroom.

It was a handy location for visiting Hull and surrounding area, the staff were very nice and helpful, room very clean and comfortable. Food and drink very good.

The only slight negative is the distance of our room from reception having some walking issues, but I suppose its my fault for not asking when booking, as they say you never stop learning.

Convenient location, cheap room for a one night stay while touring the area on motorcycles. Bar and restaurant to get something to eat and drink after a day on the road. Safe parking on site.

It had warm friendly staff. The room had everything you would need including a hairdryer and Iron and ironing board. The bed was clean and comfy. Lovely fresh towels were supplied. It was a really nice size room.

This is our half way from home to coast. Use this place all of the time. Been coming here for years.

It can be noisy and some people don't know how to behave after a couple of drinks. Place is set up for children but some customers spoil it.

Quiet location, single storey so one bumping around upstairs late at night. Even the tv remote control had working batteries!

Old fashioned shower over the bath, but it worked absolutely fine!

The staff were great, especially Bethany ? She was managing reception as well as the bar area when we arrived on Friday. And seeing breakfast on Saturday morning and always with a smile 😃.

We stayed in hotel on Saturday/Sunday but on the Sunday night it was really noisy when we went to bed there were doors banging then at 4.35 am someone was braying on a door just up from us until 4.55 am when they were let in. Think the hotel would benefit from soft shut doors.
