The property was beautiful right on the ocean with unbeatable views. Unfortunately, the beds in both bedrooms were extremely uncomfortable and made for a sleepless night. We were disappointed that for the price point, we were also asked to take out our own garbage and recycling.

This place was perfect for our family stay. Kids loved the pool, soccer area, space to play games like bocci and frisbee, he beach is wonderful. All he Parksville attractions nearby. The apartment had lots of room for us and nice patio space

Beautiful waterfront suite. The view was beautiful. 205 was well appointed updated and clean.

Very comfortable accommodations. Loved the bbq on the patio. Very close to excellent dining and spa options!!! The view and proximity to the beach was incredible!!!

Nice place, very family friendly. Beachfront with easy access. We enjoyed the pool, and hot-tub. Next time I would book a ground floor condo, to have sliding door access to the grass field. Great for the kiddos. Reasonably priced. I’d go back.

We have stayed here before and were glad to return. The elevator down to our room which was beachside is perfect for my husband who has mobility issues. Also walk in shower in our room. Dishes made it nice to be able to either sit inside or outside and have breaky or lunch.

The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we'd wish for a nice family getaway.

Over all is good but the pool is dirty my kids don’t want to swim. They ended up go to the hut tub.

The view is great and the environment is decent. However, we received a call from the hotel staff urging us to check in because they close at 6 PM. This was quite surprising and inconvenient. What if we arrive after 6 PM—do we lose our fully paid booking and can’t check in? This policy makes no sense for a hotel and really affected our overall experience.

It was a great place wish it had black out curtains in the rooms though as it was so bright in early mornings . Would have been great to have had a place with 2 bathrooms when you have 6 women staying in one place. Also would be good to have a hanger thing for the hand towel in the bathroom by the sink

Loved the kitchenette so we could enjoy the view while having breakfast. Also appreciated the elevator for my husband who has mobility issues. Free charger for our car as well. Easy beach access.

The property is dated but clean work friendly staff. The kitchen is NOT stocked with any eating or cooking utensils, not even a bottle opener. Lovely location with a beautiful view!

We stayed in unit 206, which is nice but could use some updating. For example, it has two mismatched wine glasses and the decor is tired. The place is clean, warm, and has a great view.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ocean Sands. Very clean and well equipped. What a beautiful place with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The only problem we had is the front door keys would not work properly but the office staff said they were getting someone out right away (the day we left) to fix it. Otherwise I would have given it a 5 star review. I will be coming back again for sure.

The front desk is nice and friendly. The unit is clean and big, we had a comfortable stay.

Great family oriented place to stay. We stayed in a 2 bedroom ground level condo in the fall and it was pretty quiet. Very clean units. Lots of outdoor activities to do in the area (within 30 mins). Staff was very accommodating and polite. View is amazing with a 2 minute walk to the water. The property is smaller than I imagined but that turned out to be a good thing. Everything is within walking distance on the property. No restaurant on site but lots of options in the area very close by. Would stay here again.

Was a perfect view and private access to the beach

Overall the property is quite nice and the views are amazing. It was nice and quiet in the evening. Beautiful view of the sunrise from the deck in the morning. The only thing I would change is add air conditioning, more comfortable beds and maybe a common use grill for the units that didn’t have one.

Stayed here August 12-14 with 4 adults and 1 teenager. Very nice view of the ocean, close to the pool. Very clean, comfortable, well appointed and beautifully decorated suite.

Beautiful view

It was like we had our own condo at the beach. Lots of room and a beautiful setting. Easy walk to 2 great restaurants. Sitting on the patio was such a pleasure. We got to swim in the pool and the ocean. We were there when it was hot so our only complaint was the fan in the living room needed to be replaced. The bedrooms were cool with fans. Definitely we will stay there again.

Great location. Only issue for us was a bit noisy first night with multiple families and children right outside are unit making constant noise. Thnoisiest ones left next day and was much more peaceful. Luck of the draw. Beautiful beach clean well equipped unit

Lovely spot, beautiful grounds, great access to beach.

This is a true gem! So quiet, so peaceful, so clean. We highly recommend the one bedroom ground floor walk out with unobstructed view of the ocean. Breathtaking views. Stang at the front desk was so helpful - everything was perfect.

I liked this property so close to beach access for daily walks while tide was out and in. It was easy access as we had a car rented. The pool was not yet open and would have been inconvenient if we had our grandchildren with us. it had a well stocked kitchen, good TV to watch play off hockey and front desk restocked items as we ran out ie. coffee,filters,toilet paper,garbage bags

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Ocean Sands Resort. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean. We had the opportunity to have a condo with a sliding door right out to the ocean view and a short walk to the beach. There were several rabbits hopping around on the property. There was no restaurant on the premises but several options not far away.

Location was great Front desk staff was rude

This property was not for us. Staff did try to accommodate us, however it just was not what we expected from the pictures and description. It’s an elderly area, we had a bottom floor suite and did not sleep due to footsteps all night above us. We set the smoke detector off heating bread in the toaster. We checked out as soon as the office opened. Staff were understanding and very reasonable.

The condo had many upgrades, which was really nice to see the only issue we had was with the TV. The volume would go up and down on it in the front room. The TV in the bedroom was for movies only otherwise we really like this place

Beautiful location! A well maintained, older property in a beautiful location. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Definitely a hidden gem.

Loved how spacious the room was for my three friends and I! We had a blast here and will definitely be coming back.

We spent three nights at the resort over the long weekend. The condo was well stocked with everything you may need. The condo was spacious! TV was small and not compatible for streaming. The office had dvd’s to borrow. The pool and grounds are well kept. Bunny rabbits running around for your enjoyment! Family oriented place. The staff were friendly and non intrusive.

Sara at front desk was Bubbly and helpful! Quick check in, explained all we needed to get settled. Our suite was very clean and had all that we needed for our quick getaway with kids. They loved the pool and property. Lots of families and kids having fun. Great family resort, reasonably priced for the season and all the amenities.

It was nice being near the water. The property and the suite are very dated. The furnishings are drab and the suite lacked facilities that are currently looked for like usb plugs. The pool area and hot tub area are also very dated.

The room was much better than I ever had expected!

Staff here are super friendly and the unit was very clean and spacious. Unfortunately there is no TV in the bedroom and there is no ice machine on the premises. However, when I mentioned I was looking for the Ice Machine, I was given a block of Ice that they had available. There was electric vehicle charging available. I would definitely stay here again.

The resort is right on a beach, ocean view from a balcony, the unit is spacious, nice thematic decor of the room, equipped kitchen. I didn't like a double size bed, and not enough towels provided. However, we could manage,not a big deal. Nothing could spoil a wonderful view! Sara at the office was super nice, helpful and caring. Great stay! Definitely recommended!!!

Location, peaceful, very pleasant. We had difficulty finding the sauna at night and also had difficulty operating the elevator late at night. Perhaps some additional signage would have helped. I would most definitely stay there again!

Nice and lovely Hotel. The staff/team were very helpful and sincere. The rooms were of adequate size. The amenities were great! Pricing is great as long as you get a good rate.

Easy access to beach and large living area. Some furniture is showing its age and is soiled.

Facility is a bit dated but very comfortable and in a beautiful spot.

The unit had a beautiful view, was spacious, and was sparkling clean. It was private and we enjoyed watching the water from the cozy window-side chairs. Front desk very responsive. Overall, a relaxing time, and we will happily return.

Proximity to pool and beach

Our suite was right at ground level with our own patio over looking Rathtrevor beach and across the straight to mainland BC. The huge cove was amazing for beachcombing and huge walks. We could see eagles, herons and we even had a hummingbird feeder right outside our picture window and patio. Our living area was very large and included a sofa, loveseat and recliner. There was a great 55 in TV and a a working electric fireplace. But also... a dining table for four, a granite counter with two counter stools. The kitchen came fully equipped with a stove, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher. I am sitting here right now with a glorious cup of coffee I made in suite. The bedroom is very spacious with an incredibly comfortable king bed. What I find amazing is the quietness of the outdoors and inside. First thing in the morning coffee and bird song is all I need. Darcy, the manager was also out of this world. Our welcome packet told us all we needed and Darcy was available any time for help if we needed it.

Super cute place, right on the beach. Small but clean and great location. Walked the beach for three hours from our room.

Only stayed one night. Room was clean and fresh and everything worked. Lovely view of the Straight of Georgia. Smooth arrival and departure. Stayed in a Studio Suite ,309A. Bit of a treasure hunt finding the entrance but we were given a map,along with our keys on arrival. Nice spot.

Our unit was clean and comfortable. The waterfront location is stunning. The property managers were helpful and responsive. We will return!

great experience; room fully stocked of essentials; bed comfy and room dark so could sleep; lovely breakfast nook area looking out over ocean; HUGE tv; ULTRA comfy lv seating; fully equipped kitchen; NO carpet which was awesome as felt clean and no smells; bathroom needs more upgrading - no telephone shower there, sink too shallow, could use more absorbant towels, door kept closing so needed a doorstop, bathroom light was nice and bright tho; kitchen cabinets need updating; musty type smell under sink; stove and fridge clean and good size; coffee maker was great; would stay again; very clean and comfortable/relaxing unit and management team was friendly, helpful, quick to respond

Waking up to a 180 degree view overlooking the beach was amazing. Clean cozy studio with a fireplace. Walking distance to local restaurants/pubs.
