The pool area was great and access to the beach was very handy. The Lazy Iguana restaurant across the road was Fantastic!

We had a couple of disappointing experiences during our stay. The first was being asked to dress appropriately for breakfast, despite plenty of other guests wearing exactly the same type of clothing. The second was being locked out of our room even though we'd arranged a late checkout. When we contacted the front desk, there was no apology or acknowledgement of the mistake, which was pretty disappointing.

Lekker groot zwembad en met een poolbar. De poolbar heeft ook snacks dus je kan er gelukkig ook wat eten. Vriendelijk personeel.

Het bed was behoorlijk hard en kamer ook wel wat gehorig. Je hebt daar veel last van vogels bij het zwembad. Vond het hotel meer 4 sterren dan 5 sterren.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sentido Heritance Negombo and, in our opinion, this is the best hotel in the area. What makes this hotel truly special is the people. The entire team was incredibly friendly, professional and genuinely committed to making sure guests have a memorable stay. Everywhere we went, there was always someone ready to help with a smile. This level of service is not something you experience very often. The breakfast was superb, with an excellent variety and quality, and the restaurants were equally impressive. We also loved having private, secure access to the beach, as well as the beautiful swimming pool — perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. A special mention must go to Virach Perera, who made such a fantastic first impression when we arrived. He very kindly arranged a complimentary room upgrade and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. His attention, professionalism and kindness were greatly appreciated. I would also like to personally thank Abishek from the See Lounge, who was absolutely fantastic and looked after us exceptionally well, and Suresh from the restaurant, who was equally attentive and made sure we were always well taken care of. Both are a real credit to the hotel. From check-in to check-out, we felt genuinely welcomed and valued. Beautiful hotel, fantastic food, wonderful location and, above all, an outstanding team. We have stayed in many hotels, but Sentido Heritance Negombo has genuinely left a lasting impression on us. A superb experience from beginning to end, and a hotel we would be very happy to return to. Highly recommended! 10/10. ❤️🇱🇰

The room was clean and spacious with all you could need, and location-wise it was a short walk away from restaurants and pubs. We enjoyed the sea view from our balcony and the seafood platter for dinner in the restaurant was delicious!

Although the bedding didn’t look unclean, we did notice a few marks and the sheets weren’t ironed properly. As the hotel is huge, it was also a very long walk from reception to our room on the other side of the hotel so just a point to note!

Really loved the hospitality and the staff, Nethmi helped us with our stay and was super friendly, we had a lovely time and would definitely come again.

Schone kamers, schone openbare toiletten en een fijn zwembad!

Het zou een 5-sterrenhotel moeten zijn, maar dat is het absoluut niet. Naast het feit dat het allemaal verouderd is (wat niet zo erg is) is de kwaliteit van de service echt geen 5 sterren. En de sfeer ook niet. Er is geen mogelijkheid om buiten te eten, alleen in een soort serre waar 2 dikke airco’s staan op 16 graden te koelen. Veel te koud. Hetzelfde met het restaurant boven. Toen wij er waren was er een privé feest waardoor het zwembad op een soort public pool leek en er een muziekbox met harde beat werd aangezet. Bij de receptie ging ik vragen of er in de avond ook muziek zou zijn. Ze verzekerden mij dat dit zeker niet het geval zou zijn. Midden in de nacht 01:20 weten we wakker van harde muziek en dansende mensen buiten. Echt alles behalve 5 sterren kwaliteit. En dat is prima, als je je daar op instelt. Als je uitgaat van een écht 5 sterren hotel, is dit ronduit teleurstellend en ondermaats.

The breakfast was the best ive ever had, it is challenging for a person with celiac disease to travel, this hotel ensured that i was well fed with mutliple alergen friendly options and security is good

Hotel amenities are straight from the early 90s while charging prices of 2026. It is ranked as a 5 star hotel but it's actually a 2-3 star hotel. Furniture is old, mirrors are rusty, doors have cracks. Very old and dirty curtains. Pictures from booking and their site do not reflect reality at all. It was the end of our stay in Sri Lanka and one of the biggest disappointments we could have for a very high price. Unfortunately we had no change to cancel without losing all our money. Definitely not worth visiting. Even the pool and the beach were dirty. Not a reflection of Sri Lanka at all.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant, spa, pool bar, security. The manager Wilhelm and Sithmi in particular assisting with an early check-in ans showing me around the hotel.

Balcony wasn't cleaned. Beach isn't very clean apart from directly in front of the hotel.

Great location, good staff

We used this hotel as a short stay before our flight at 1am. We checked in at 2pm, lazed by the pool all afternoon and then slept for a few hours before catching our flight. It's a 25 minute drive to the airport. Beautiful pool and all rooms have a sea view. Lovely sunset.

Pool bar prices are expensive as is the Mexican restaurant across the road for what you get.

Was a very comfortabel and nice stay at Sentido Sithmi was very helpfull and also helpt with out lost bagage at the airport!

Beautiful hotel, top tier amenities. The staff was absolutely incredible. They were professional and prompt with any special requests I had. The rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. Sithmi and the front desk staff were very kind and accommodating. And the location is near beach, shopping, wellness spas and phenomenal restaurants. Will definitely come back and would recommend to others to visit.

Très bruyant car les portes donnent directement sur l’extérieur. Les chambres ne sont pas si grandes par rapport à aux photos. Si besoin d’un taxi, il faut payer le chauffeur en cash directement ce qui n’est pas très pratique…

Dated property but well maintained. Just doesn't have modern comforts which would be expected for this price. Service wasn't exactly upto Srilankan standards.

Het hotel heeft een prachtige en centrale ligging aan het strand en bij het centrum. Voor ons de ideale plek voor een laatste nacht Sri Lanka. Het hotel is ook goed, met een lekker zwembad en zeer uitgebreid ontbijt buffet.

Voor een vijfsterrenhotel met flink hogere prijs dan andere accommodaties, was het goed, maar niet geweldig. Enkele voorbeelden: het raamgordijn in de douche (sowieso al wat vreemd) was beschimmeld, de zijkanten van het bedframe zagen er smoezelig uit en de ligstoelen buiten waren vies en verouderd. Het blijft een mooi hotel en helemaal prima voor een eerste of laatste nacht. Ook op veel vlakken beter dan andere hotels, maar net niet het niveau dat ik had gehoopt bij de sterren en de prijs.
