Said continental breakfast but then was $20 a person for dinner lunch and drinks I didn’t mind paying but if your gonna advertise breakfast it should be free not $20 a person

The room was nice and clean. The view was amazing and it was within walking distance of just about everything we wanted to see. The pool was nice even if it’s a little small.

The pool needs updates, repairs and cleaned. There are broken tiles in the hot tub and there are green stains on the tiles above the water line that look like mold. The carpet in the room dated the room a little but it was comfortable. It would be nice with the price of the room to have a small breakfast included with the stay. For a family of 4 we had to pay close to $100 each day for breakfast if we ate in the hotel restaurant. The food was good but was expensive.

I liked the location, hotel room, lobby, and restaurant. Room was clean and it was a very short walk to the promenade and just 4 blocks to downtown. I would stay there again!

Only complain was the shower wouldn't drain while taking my shower. I mentioned it to them twice but either they couldn't fix it or they forgot.

Our room was not cleaned well, the sink and bathtub were clogged. The hotel decided to take up 6 parking spots on one of the busiest holidays of the summer and the park is already limited for spots. Plus none of the rooms have air conditioning unless you don’t have a window. Our room was so humid and uncomfortable that you walk into the room and your breathing gets taken away. Never again never!

Pet fee is extremely high. $40 per dog per night is excessive. NOT even disclosed on website. And coffee maker didn't work in room. 24/7 coffee in lobby was empty all 3 times I tried to get some.

The room described having AC on booking.com but the rooms do not have AC and had a small fan. When I went to the front counter they told me the fan was considered AC and no hotels on the coast have AC. Completely dissatisfied with the situation.

We stay at the Best Western hotel every time we go to Seaside. The last two times, we got a king-size & queen-size (wall bed) with ocean / partial ocean views and a balcony. Well worth it. But, the time before, we stayed in their economy rooms - which I also loved. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Location and facilities

We had a balcony room looking out towards the ocean, but mostly saw the dunes and the promenade walk below our window.

We had some things that did not meet expectations, i.e. coffee maker did not work, bathroom sink barely dribbled out water and the patio door was off its track. The workers in the breakfast cafe were not very attentive.

Great location, very convenient. The room had a kitchenette and lots of space.

The location is the only nice part of this stay.

Our bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. It was near possible to fall asleep in. The remote to the tv was out of batteries.

The floors were a little dirty especially around the bed under the sheet. Opened the slider door and was really bad in the seam on the floor. Wouldn't be a big deal, but when you have a one year old that will eat anything off the floor.

The staff was very nice and the cafe was a huge bonus in the morning.

The room was dirty and hot. No A/C Cramped, little room that was supposed to be disability accessible. Not enough room for a mobility scooter. Front desk staff were rude at check in.

They take the ‘economy’ rooms seriously, there was barely room to move. The room was so small for the price it felt like a joke. You want some natural light? Hope you like people right outside your room, looking in. The view was of an indoor outdoor type walkway and a wall, if you look up and over the walkway you could see a little sliver of sky. You’d think that breakfast would be included since you paid so much for that tiny room? Nope. They do offer breakfast, but you have to pay for that too.

It was unexpectedly quiet and comfortable. There was a long check-in line, but it went quickly and staff tried to ensure our comfort while waiting,,,gave us water and checked with us a couple times.

The room was really nice and I liked the balcony.

The check in process was horrendous, with at least 20 people waiting to check in for 4 pm. It was just chaos and many people were angry. I paid $10 extra to be on the top floor, but I was on the next to the top floor.

The hotel was in a perfect spot right on the beach with a great view. Our room was awesome. It was clean convenient and the staff was professionaland friendly.

The staff were wonderful! For a last minute booking, the first room was fine... small but comfortable...I didn't expect more. The second night we were able to upgrade to an ocean view room. What a treat!

We had a wonderful stay here and will definitely stay again. Wonderful staff and accommodations. You can’t ask for a better place to stay in seaside.

The property was very clean along with the room. Nice beds and no sand on the floor like some beach properties we have stayed at. Staff were nice and always helpful and available. Recommended staying on at least the above the 2nd floor of a view of the beach.

There was no air conditioning in the room. A portable air conditioner was provided but it was extremely loud and we couldn’t use it. The portable fans were also very loud. We were not notified that the air conditioning was not working. The faucet in the bathroom sink was not working and dispensed water that was extremely hot. The view was of the car park in the front.

I liked that there was a table in the room and hard wood floors were nice. Also we had a partial view of the ocean which was beautiful! The free coffee downstairs was awesome!

The bed was good for my father in law, but I’m a side sleeper, so the first couple nights my hip hurt because of how firm it was. I wish they had a free breakfast, but I appreciate the coffee. Also, I decided to go elsewhere for breakfast because I read some of the reviews online about the food and didn’t want to chance it.

Requested new coffeemaker at around 10:30 am because the one in the room was broken, had to go down and ask again at 6:00 pm. No one cleaned the room, we had to go get clean towels. The desk attendant ( male) acted as if we were putting him out by asking when the coffee maker would be coming. He never apologize or even said “I will check on that for you” the message light on the phone was on, we tried getting the message by using the instructions on the phone, but it didn’t work. The night attendant said he couldn’t tell us how to get the message because he wasn’t in the room looking at the phone. The day staff was pleasant. The room was to expense for the lack of attention to details. The stafff needs to be trained in customer service. A smile and a I’ll check for you, goes a long way.

Fantastic oceanfront views! Can’t beat the balcony overlooking the promenade and beach beyond. Plus, the hotel is within walking distance to the main streets for dining and entertainment in town.

The Murphy bed setup is a bit odd- the room was large enough so probably would’ve preferred just two regular beds. The closet was missing one of the sliding door panels.

-I would recommend to wait until the week of your visit. I would’ve saved ~$50 if I had booked it later. I booked 2 months in advance thinking it is gonna be busy. -Expect no perks as an elite member. -Rooms smell bad and way too noisy since the walls are thin and the rooms come in four. I heard all the other guests in the rooms nearby and everyone who was walking down the hallway.

This resort met all my expectations. It was clean, ready on time and exactly as described on the website. A beautiful view of the ocean and easy access to the beach. It turned out perfect.

When I booked my reservation. I was told that I was not going to be charged a early check in. But I was So be very beware of early check in.

The fact that it was close to the beach, and to the center of town where all the activities are happening.

Our room was in a location where it was a maze to find our way. Unfortunately we were not able to get a beach / ocean view room.

Nothing it was an absolutely horrible, stressful experience from the condition of the room, the pool, and the Manager Mark was rude, unprofessional, condescending and should not be in the position of a manager. When I voiced our concerns to him he told me to go stay somewhere else and said alright then do what you want. As a former HR manager I was totally shocked by his attitude and lack of empathy. After reading prior reviews I was not the first one to voice these concerns. I did go to corporate Best Western who compensated me with a free night at one of their other properties. They told me they would be reviewing his profomance as a representative of their company.

Room was dirty Said It had a queen size bed when u booked🙄🙄it was a Murphy Bed that pulled out of the walll. The mattress was lumpy and when you laid on it it squeaked and the springs made load popping noise that sounded like you were playing a video game. My grandauther splet on the floor. Very outdated, wind blowing thru the front door when it was closed. Windows were extremely dirty that were on the patio. The only person who expressed any compassion for our concerns was Autumn who stated I am so sorry you had a bad experience. That was at checkout. I would not recommend staying there. Also very overpriced. We only stayed 1 night because there was no other rooms available in Seaside. We ended up staying at another property the next that was fabulous.

Minor issues that make a 10 a 9. Patio screen door would not stay on track,TV is Samsung but had a Phillips remote and some difficulties with channels, no spatula to flip an egg, no freezer included in the refrigerator, the shower was very low pressure, lower then most other places I stayed.

Very noisy. The staff did not take noise complaints seriously. Kids running the hallways day and night.

I'll start with the positives. The ocean side view room is to die for, the beds and pillows are comfy and cozy. The balcony with chairs is a huge plus at sunset it is beautiful. Our experience was poor, the reason was we were locked out of our room by management accused of being in the wrong room, they sent another guest to our room while we were at dinner who found the room was being used. They lost our check in paperwork, took about 20 min or so at the front desk to get new keys and for them to say " don't worry we won't have you move". The group of check in staff had no idea what was going on, we felt violated by having someone else access our room. Does this happen often? I gave a complaint to the front desk in the morning who said she would relay it to her manager, I have yet heard from management. Not only did they lock us out but proceeded to describe the person who was supposed to have that room including both her first name and last name and full description. This is highly unprofessional. We travel quite a bit and never had this happen to us. This was the first time at this best western, we enjoy trying out different hotels as we visit seaside often, this was the worst, unprofessional, most chaotic and non organized group of staff we've ever encountered.

How the front staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. They even found a cork screw for us and delivered it to our room. We had an exceptional stay. The pool room was also very well stocked with towels and the environment was nice as well.

We enjoyed our stay at BW in Seaside. We had an ocean front room with a small kitchen and a fireplace. The room was immaculate and the king bed was very comfortable. There was also a murphy bed which we didn't use. The ocean view and the sounds from the waves were spectacular. It was an easy walk to the beach. The hostess at the front desk welcomed us a couple of hours before official check in. Parking was safe and ample. We didn't use the pool or the on site restaurant. Both looked fine. Our room was $288 for a mid-week night stay. It was 4 blocks of easy walking down the prom to Broadway St. We recommend this hotel!

I am an older lady and made a horrible mistake and booked thinking that I booked for Seaside, California, not Oregon. I called the day of realizing I made a mistake and asked if I could get credit and they gave me the runaround I made the reservation the day before. After making several attempts to speak with someone You would think that they would have credit me. I was very disappointed.

When we asked for fresh towels and a couple extra pillows the staff never brought them. They also do not service the room daily so we needed to take out our own trash can every day so it was not overflowing.

The location was great. It was right on the beach and a short walk to where the shops and restaurants are. Our room suited our needs. The bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom were spotless. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a pool and laundry room and a restaurant with affordable prices. We will certainly return to this hotel again.

We have been going to Seaside for many years and every time we do we stay at the Best Western Plus Ocean View. The location is great and so is the service.
