Vredenburg Manor House

It's beautiful, quiet and faraway from the hustle and bustle of the city, but it not value for money. The staff are very friendly and the place is warm and inviting. And you have your own private backyard if you choose the self catering option. But being that we spent the weekend exploring the area, we didn't spend much time at the manor which ultimately makes it not value for money. But besides all that it's a beautifully kept gem.

Because we explored we only slept in for a few hours each night and didn't get to experience the place fully, which makes it not a value for money to me. A full week stay is required to fully get that value for money.

Awesome stay - best breakfast

Wonderful place to stay - fantastic breakfast

Location

The rooms are well equipped and warm. The breakfast is fabulous and the guest house is beautiful and what a great location

Have stayed at the Manor House many times and have always been impressed. The rooms of clean and spacious. Love the peacefulness. We always stay in the full catering rooms. Parking is amazing. All in all a good exprience.

We had a fantastic time and stay at the Vredenburg Manor House. We were able to check in early and we were welcomed by the friendly staff. The venue is kept in immaculate condition and you still get the effect of an old manor house. The rooms are spacious, modern and beautiful and very comfortable. Everything exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was also very good and the service excellent and all the staff are very friendly and helpful! We had a delightful stay, thank you Leon and team!

Beautiful heritage building with luxurious accommodation and friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious!

How clean the rooms are, how comfortable the beds are and how friendly the staff are.

It's peaceful, just the place to unwind.

Alles

Best guesthouse in Somerset West / Stellenbosch

Thanks for a lovely stay Leon and Luke. We felt well looked after and entertained by the owls and the beautiful surrounds. You’re super fun hosts. Look forward to celebrating at Vredenburg in December!!!🥰

Gastvrijheid en vriendelijkheid van de gastheren. Prachtig mooi gedecoreerd huis, sfeer. Ik hou ervan.

Sehr schönes Anwesen mit einem gepflegten Garten

Staff are excellent, rooms are spacious and lovely. Has everything you need!

Sehr gute Lage.

Everything! This place was phenomenal - from checking in - the room- the detail (a flower on your bathroom mat) the smell , the breakfast , the staff. Everything simply fantastic!

You cannot fault anything

Beautiful manor house. The grounds and gardens are well kept and lovely to walk around. I really liked that the owners made a point of engaging with their guests and it felt very genuine. Their dogs are adorable. I’m so sorry to have only spent one night.

I have nothing to say here. Everything is superlative.

Wonderful

It was so wonderful to experience the sense of history of this old Manor House - from the thick walls to the amazing wooden framed doors and windows to the beautiful silver and antique furniture - and yet we were able to enjoy the modern luxuries of a nice comfortable bathroom with separate shower and tub and double vanity. Lots of hanging and packing space in the closet. A beautiful sturdy antique bench was handy to place our luggage. Our room had a door to the patio that overlooked the swimming pool and a table was set for us every morning where we could enjoy a private breakfast that was served.

Room freshener aroma oils - I had to take it outside - it was too strong.

Nestled perfectly between Stellenbosch and Somerset West off the R44 this stylish Cape Dutch Manor house. A large well maintained outdoor pool with plenty of Luxury loungers with SUPER thick cusioned toppers and pool towels readily available. The outside terrace of the Manor House is where breakfast is served and ALL made fresh to order. The amazing team at Vredenberg Manor are a credit to Luke and Leon who manage this property that they clearly have a passion in. The highlight was the new Modern Garden suites that truly are 5 star in their fitments and styling , from a huge bath to a seperate walk in shower and totally high end in its functionality and ease of use!! The big and beautiful rooms can be got for approx £135 ( 3000rand ) which is ridiculously good value.

truly nothing could be any better!!

Alles gut.

Really stunning property! The manor house and its gardens are immaculate and beautiful. We stayed in the garden suites and they’re brand new and beautifully styled. Everything worked perfectly and the bed is really comfy. You couldn’t fault the property at all. The pool and gardens are amazing. It was so relaxing by the pool and all the other guests were lovely too! Leon and Luke and all the staff are incredible too and really make you feel special and can’t do enough for you. The breakfast was 10 out of 10. As they have such a high rating on booking.com I thought it would be hard to actually deserve the rating but they really do deserve it. Exceptional stay!

There’s nothing to dislike about the property!

Great location and well appointed accommodation in a beautiful setting.

Nothing

We only stayed one night, but wish we could have stayed longer. Our room was perfectly appointed, the bed was cosy and we slept like babies. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful. We did the wine tractor which was just a short Uber ride away. Can’t recommend this place enough! We would come back in a heartbeat 😊

The breakfast was amazing, personel friendly and profesional.

Leon & Luke are incredible hosts! Truly an exceptional stay, close to various wine farms

Everything was perfect

Amazing!! Will definitely return!

Absolutely beautiful place.

The property is superb. Beautiful old cape Dutch house set in delightful gardens - amazing birdlife.

There was only one thing that was a small issue - the bed was very high and being very short it was quite a challenge to get in and out of the bed 🙈

We loved everything - the spacious room (with underfloor heating), the friendly staff, the beautiful historical main building, the spectacular, rambling gardens, the delicious breakfast, the hosts that go way more than the extra mile, the peaceful ambience... Vredenburg Manor House is simply magnificent.

Did not have it. Had to leave super early.

Everything was great!

This is such a lovely property and grounds on a quiet road. The bed and pillows were great, overall the room was really clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. We were only there for a night but I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a little oasis escape.

Nothing.

Felt like a luxury second home, we were treated like royalty. Best hotel breakfast we have ever had. We will be back

This is my third visit and it has been consistently excellent. Staff are brilliant, everything works, rooms well equipped and the pool is a great size with comfortable loungers.

Perfect in every way! The hosts could not do enough to make our stay awesome. Nothing was an issue - just perfect

The host and staff were very friendly. We felt quite at home. Thank you, Luke and Leon, for an awesome experience at Vredenburg Manor House. You will definitely be seeing us soon. And we will definitely recommend Vredenburg Manor House to family and friends 💖

Absolutely nothing. Everything exceeded our expectations. 👌

I cannot Rave enough about this GORGEOUS Manor , This is a place people dream of living , a place Brides would remember forever , It is run perfectly and being OCD is absolutely SPOTLESS , The Staff are a pleasure to work with , nothing is too much, Leon and Luke you do more and above to keep Vredenburg Manor House the way it is, I could not find a fault , both your perfections show in your pride of this property , parting is not easy , Thank you and we will be back sooner than later Sherryl & Bob USA

This was a beautiful property and Luke and Leon (the owners) and all the staff were very welcoming. The room was large and beautifully prepared with thoughtful touches like fresh flowers. It opened out straight onto a terraced area with a view of pool and lovely gardens. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order and we were able to sit outside on the terrace for this. The honesty bar was well stocked and well priced. We had great recommendations for local vineyards and got Ubers easily to the places we wanted to visit. Would have love to have had longer and would happily stay here again!

Nothing.

Stylish, comfortable beds, secure and very very friendly staff.

All was great

Great staff, the ladies who checked us in and served breakfast were great.
