parking was a disaster, two elevators was not enough for this size hotel, rooms were run down and outdated. Breakfast was awful.

My husband and I always make Hyatt Place in Yonkers, NY., our home away from home. I’m familiar with the area being a native. The hotel is surrounded by an outdoor shopping plaza and there are a good number of dining options. The rooms are always clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff is great and parking is free. There’s a movie theater on the premises and a supermarket; as well. If you enjoy gaming; there is a casino within 2 miles of the hotel. It’s a quick drive into Manhattan for a city tour and of course, local transportation is also a great option if you simply want to explore. Either way, it’s affordable and worth a stay.

Rates were high for a sunday night

- The room is big and pleasant, and the bathroom is great! - The hotel is located within an open-air shopping complex. That’s really good.

- Very expensive for what you get. - I was expecting msuperior quality given the price and the fact that it’s a Hyatt, but it’s just another ordinary hotel. - Very poor breakfast. It felt like something from a cheap hotel; limited food options and plastic cutlery, just like on airplanes. - Service was okay; the staff weren't particularly attentive or friendly, though they weren't rude either. - It wasn't an issue for me, but they only clean the room every two days. - No 24-hour room service options.

Sadly, It was not a good experience. and we felt not at ease. There's an issue with the wiring causing small fires and sparks, and the manager was indifferent. We had an outlet sparking up multiple times during our short visit and throwing sparks into the room at 4am.

No safe One elevator was out of service for our entire stay Suite refrigerator not working (fridge in kitchen worked)

Location is very convenient, next to the shopping mall. Starbucks at back entrance. The front desk is very nice and welcoming. The room is spacious with good layout, which is important for watching World Cup everyday. :)

Service (staff) from check in to check out was very very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable. Liked the sofa to sit and relax. Enjoyed the large easy walk in shower.

Would like ice machine on every floor. Breakfast was just ok. Scrambled eggs were crumbs of egg..

For breakfast the kitchen staff one of them she was very rude, but spoke to the GM and he spoke to her.

We were looking for hotel for team stay for FRC (robotics competition), and location safety & accessibility was main criteria since we were travelling with young students. We zeroed in on HyattPlace Yonkers since it ticked all boxes & allowed flexible cancellation in view of west asia war situation. The hotel is extremely well located in cross county shopping center. Numerous restaurants at walking distance with wide variety suitable for vegetarians. There were various shopping & convenience stores nearby. Students could walk safely everywhere. Mall had free parking. Mount Vernon East was nearest metro short cab ride away. Our room with king bed & pullout sofa bed was spacious & comfortable. Bathroom was spacious, no bidet. Their breakfast was complimentary & adequate. They kindly provided our team with daily eggless bagel during entire stay. Overall modern convenient hotel in super location. Staff & service were great. Nena who assisted us with booking was prompt to address all queries & extend requested support around payment & cancellation flexibility due to west asia war situation. Excellent & prompt email communication. All staff were fabulous & extended requested assistance whether it was giving us robot practice space (this was huge huge support) or print outs or storage space. Special shoutout to Shavonne, Lorenzo & Christopher for their patience & warmth. There were no issues at all for anyone in group during our 10-night stay & this really shows how super was their staff & hotel (far above US hospitality standard). Entire group was highly appreciative of service & flexibility rendered by their awesome staff. Overall lovely stay & will recommend to anyone looking for safe & convenient stay.

Comfortable rooms. Standard Hyatt experience. I little noise from the adjacent mall, in the evening; quiet at night. Hotel is clean. Location was great for what we needed.

I have been here for the second time and I am really satisfied with this hotel. The room was clean and pleasant. WiFi works reliably. The staff is friendly and professional. The hotel is located near a shopping mall with good access to the surrounding area and New York.

I have been to the Yonkers Hyatt before so I knew what I was getting. It is a pleasant hotel in the middle of the Cross County Shopping Center. If you plan to spend a couple of days shopping there, good choice, otherwise, seems strange. It is a perfectly nice hotel. The rooms are spacious and quiet. I stayed in room 901 this time, It is a very large room with two queen beds and a separate sitting area. It even has two TVs. My only complaint is the breakfast is pretty meager for such a nice three-star hotel. They should really do something about it. There is cereal and eggs and a few other things so you won't starve, but fine dining this is not. No waffle-making machine or pancake-making machine or fresh danish pastry or croissants or cupcakes or most pf the things good hotels have for breakfast. Other than that, good hotel.

Hyatt Place Yonkers is my favorite hotel because of its warm, friendly and attentive staff. I love coming here because of them. Front desk manager Lorenzo recognized me from prior stays just as soon as I walked through the door. Lorenzo was also a visible hard-working presence in the breakfast cafe each morning clearing dishes and greeting guests. Staff stored a birthday cake for me in the hotel refrigerator. Noelle at the front desk showed her concern for guest safety and wellbeing when she cautioned me to be careful outside because the asphalt in the parking lot was slippery from the rainfall. Housekeeping staff are always cheerful and friendly. The hotel is beautifully maintained and looks new after 11 years. And the location in the Cross County shopping mall with a Stop & Shop supermarket across the street and several fast food options (Starbucks, Cava, Shake Shack, Chipotle, etc) is fantastic.

I stay here because of the convenance of where I need to be. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly.

The price could be lower. No matter when I stay there, no matter what the season is, no matter what room I stay in, the rooms are always overly cold. I have to sleep with extra clothes on and extra blankets even with the thermostat set to 80 degrees. Something really needs to be done about that. For the money that I spend to stay there, I should not have to freeze every time I stay.

The staff were great, very welcoming and polite and the hotel was relatively clean.

This is my third time staying here and the second time with the same issue. The duvet was like a sheet. When I held it up to the light, the padding was visibly gone and left in small stone like hard pieces throughout the inside. So much so that the hard pieces actually kept me awake and I ended up taking it off the bed. And the noise from the heat was unbearable which didn't really work.

Our stay at the hotel was comfortable. From the time we walked into the lobby we were greeted by a warm and gracious staff. We arrived really early for checkin, but thankfully the room was available. The room was spacious and clean. We had an issue with the thermostat toward the end of our stay, the building maintenance person sent to our room seemed to have fixed the issue but the room never got as cool as I needed it to be. Everything else was lovely. My son attends Sarah Lawrence College so we look forward to our next stay.
