When they ran out, there was no refill... and so on for the rest.. For 270 euros per night I expected a little more generosity.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026A lovely and unique place to stay in a stunning location. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very well equipped.Fantastic welcome at reception and staff very helpful .
Breakfast was okay, with lots of pastries, but we would have liked a little more variety such as fresh fruit or eggs. One thing to be aware of if sharing with two or three people is that the bathroom has see-through glass and offers very little privacy.

El desayuno, muy correcto. Lo mejor, Davide, que nos ayudó en todo momento a llegar y nos dio todas las indicaciones para visitar la ciudad y comer muy bien.
Hay que tener en cuenta que no se puede llegar en coche. Hay que aparcarlo en un parking en las afueras, así que cuanto menos equipaje mejor, porque las calles son preciosas pero auténticas (de piedra).

The cave-like room made us feel truly immersed in the history, culture, and unique atmosphere that makes Matera so special. It was exactly the kind of experience we were hoping for. The room was comfortable, the service was excellent, and we loved every minute of our time in Matera. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable Matera experience!
There was some construction drilling happening which we could hear from our room in the morning, fortunately we were not trying to sleep in, but it could be heard in the morning.

The check out was at 10:30am, a little bit early. Apart from that at 10:00 o’clock, I suppose cause to the check out, we didn’t have electricity and WiFi from 10:00!!!

A equipe do check in foi impecável (sr David), porém as 3 funcionárias do café da manhã foram deselegantes conosco! Toda vez que pegávamos algum item do café da manhã elas olhavam de cara feia. Meu marido nem pode sentar onde queria, sem falar que ao trocar de assento, a funcionária mais forte reclamou de novo e fez questão de trocar o copo que eu tinha tocado! Cochichavam com a mão na boca olhando pra gente, como se tivessem zombando… foi o café da manhã mais desagradável de todos os tempos! Nunca imaginei passar por uma situação dessa!

De ligging midden in de Sassi is perfect, de kamers zijn prachtig en met enorm veel smaak ingericht (respect voor de authenticiteit maar let enorm veel oog voor design en charme) en de service is werkelijk uitzonderlijk. De eigenaar en zijn volledig team doen er alles aan om je een onvergetelijk verblijf te bezorgen. Ook het ontbijt en de shuttle-service waren tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Je voelt dat gastvrijheid hier geen verplichting maar een passie is!
Helemaal niets. Ons verblijf overtrof al onze verwachtingen.

Hôtel très bien si vous n'avez pas de bagages. Le parking recommandé est à plus d'un kilomètre et pour vous y amener il vous faut payer le parking et 15 euros supplémentaires pour vous y conduire ! Le petit déjeuner est plutôt frugale

Reviewed May 14, 2026En plein cœur des Sissi, hôtel très typique. Le patron nous a donné un plan et fait tout le planning de visite. Nous n avions plus qu à suivre ses instructions.
Il faut savoir que le parking est assez loin et il faut obligatoirement prendre la navette pour rejoindre l hôtel car vous traversez tous le sassi pendant 900 mètres , ruelles très étroites et de nombreux escaliers. Épuisé en arrivant ! Petit déjeuner pas très varié.
