Breakfast very good loads to choose from venue. Evening meal good again loads to choose. Bed comfy ...staff very polite and attentive.

A chair in bedroom with comfort would make it more restful. The general paint work needs refreshing . The bathroom toilet seat needs changing .

All the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely, perfect location and great sleep.

Just minor things like discoloured toilet/toilet seat, a bit of cleanliness with lighting/bedside table and a few stains on the towels. Again, only minor.

Stayed here once before for a family celebration. So it was good enough to return! Breakfast excellent, room comfortable and quiet, ideal for our purpose. A convenient place to stay in the Tonbridge/Tunbridge Wells area.

I felt the mattress was a bit uncomfortable on this occasion, but my wife was happy. Nothing else to mention.

A reading light on bed head would have been very useful. Also room (1) rather dark. Brighter lighting would have been appreciated.

Staff were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. The rooms are quiet, and although it's a pub on a main road it was birdsong not traffic that I noticed most. Excellent shower, super clean rooms and a very easy and welcoming place to stay

Nice old place, excellent shower, tea and coffeemachine, pads, milk in the room, enough parking space. Instead of the english breakfast we were longing for, a lunch bag was iffered to us with a small drink, an apple, banana, croissant and a little marmalade. That was friendly.

My matrass was way to hard to comfortably sleep on. No breakfast possible before 08.30, which was way to late for us in order to reach the ferry of 10.15. The toilet most often kept on flushing, did no stop automatically. Had to get out again twice after I had used the toilet in the middle of the night. Location had no interesting surroundings, nothing to do. Canterbury, which we visited was a one hours drive away for instance.

Dated and grubby room. Dust and cobwebs. Described as 'deluxe'. Lots of small issues which need addressing. Also, party/event at location which went on to midnight and kept us up till 1.30 when the last people went past room, corridor door very noisy, can be easily fixed. It would have been nice to have been told on arrival, but nothing said. I would have provided constructive feedback on departure but no one asked. A shame, as this hotel should be much better.

Unfortunately we were unable to stay due to a water supply issue in the area. The manager phoned us to advise of the issue & when we arrived was most apologetic, even though completely out of his control. He showed us the area affected & made suggestions for other places which may have been able to help rather than us having to head home

Room smelt a bit mouldy. Carpet needed a very good deep clean. Can't understand why hotels don't go over to laminate floors; easier to clean and long lasting. Mattress in the double bed was uncomfortable

Lovely room with 4 poster bed. Given the heat, the staff had tried really hard to ensure the room was as cool as possible with the curtains closed and a powerful fan going. Breakfast was divine!

It was very hot. They will need to think of installing some air conditioning, mini fridges perhaps. Garden was pleasantly cool in the evening.

The hotel is very tired and dark. The pillows were awful, mold in the bathroom, rusty appliances in the shower. Black mold in the corners, toilet seat old. Staff did their best. Disappointing nd I slept on my own towel, it all felt grubby. Paint missing off the lower walls in the hotel. Brass on the doors dirty.

Down to personal taste, bed a bit hard

We werden ontvangen door zeer vriendelijk personeel. De kamer was goed, en gaf de mogelijkheid om koffie of thee te drinken. We hebben ook in de avond gegeten in het hotel en dat smaakte prima voor een eenvoudige maaltijd. Het ontbijt was verzorgd en bood verschillende mogelijkheden.

De kamer was erg donker, maar vooral bloedheet. Het was een heel hete dag, dat vooropgesteld, maar de verwarming in de badkamer stond aan en kon zelf niet uitgezet worden omdat het een kamer was voor mindervaliden.

Makkelijk te vinden, ruime parkeerplaats, mooi oud gebouw, snelle bediening. De kamer en de badkamer waren klein, maar wel schoon en netjes. Groot terras beneden.

Op de kamer een klein raam dat maar voor 30% open kon, geen airco en het was werkelijk bloedheet op de kamer. Doordat er 2 tafelventilatoren stonden, hadden we weinig stopcontacten over en slechts 1 bedlampje. De ventilatoren hielpen ook niet tegen de hitte. Volgens de informatie op de website zou de pub tot zeker 23.00 uur open zijn, maar toen we terugkwamen uit de stad om 22.30 uur (zaterdagavond)was alles al dicht en donker. Het eten was aan de vette kant, een salade die vooral bestond uit gefrituurde kip met een deeglaag.

Room and bathroom were a good size with everything you needed, very large TV. We had dinner the evening we arrived and food was fine and service very efficient. Breakfast included and good options available.

The rooms did not have air-conditioning however there was a fan provided which helped a little but as the temperature was very high the room was very warm and stuffy. I appreciate the cost of ingredients has risen considerably however the very small square of butter provided on the table was insufficient for one slice of toast, fortunately my partner did not need hers so I used hers as well which sufficed just.

A very comfortable overnight stay to visit relatives locally. Good parking, efficient check-in, comfortable and clean room, quiet.

Lovely staff, great food, lots of parking (including electric chargers). Rooms were very clean and great shower pressure. The breakfast was delicious and lots of choice for food & drinks (teas, coffees & juices). We had the gammon steak for dinner - would reccomend. A little gem and good value for money! If we are ever back in the area we will definitely stay again.

Attractive building.

The room was not particularly clean and the pillows were very dirty. No tissues were provided and the refreshments provided were insufficient for need. The bed, although large was not comfortable, the mattress being very old and hard. The breakfast was good quality but small in quantity. I didn’t have some elements of it and asked the waitress for an extra sausage, which wasn’t provided, and I actually only got two button mushrooms!
