Everything and the staff was so friendly and helpful
Wish the room had a small tv for background noice
The staff were all great!

Friendly and helpful staff
¡Totalmente recomendable!

The location was impeccably placed within the Barrio Alto neighborhood, close to transit, and close to so many great restaurants and destinations. I had a great time walking around the neighborhood and enjoying the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Coffee was hot, juice was fresh squeezed, and the chocolate croissants were delicious (I am still thinking about them!)!

Great location, staff was very nice and helpful, beautiful room and comfortable beds.
Tres bel hotel, confort , charme, jardin .. piscine . Personnel
This place is always booked up so I have waited four years to get in and I must say it was well worth the wait. From arrival to departure all of my needs are taken care of and it felt like I was at a luxury men’s club. Location is amazing and it isa true oasis in the middle of the busy city of Lisbon. Highly recommend.
Beautiful small boutique gay hotel. Small but cosy rooms with all necessary comfort, nice breakfast buffet style (all morning from 8.30 AM till noon). Small garden with small outdoor pool. Although in the middle of Bairo Alto, no street noise al all ( only thing you heat in the morning ate the screaming seagulls).
Late Birds was a fantastic place and I will definitely return on my next trip to Lisbon. Overall, the property is very nicely located and designed. It's clean, comfortable, quiet and has very good air conditioning which is important in July. Before and during our stay communication with everyone at Late Birds was wonderful. When we arrived by taxi in the evening after a flight from Barcelona, Samuel was waiting for us and check-in was delightfully smooth. Breakfast every morning was perfect. The room was nice and cool and dark and best of all it was very very quiet. The design of the room and public areas was elegant, simple, artistic, and serene. I'm so glad I trusted other reviewers and chose Late Birds.
the staff, breakfast and pool were all highlights.

Great location! Friendly staff

Everything
The friendly staff and the breakfast were amazing, they could not be more helpful and make you feel so at home and relaxed. The location is great for getting to bars, culture and gay places. Even simple things like getting your laundry back so quickly are just great. And the cats!
I think there is nothing to mention. Any issue would be down to personal preference. Like I’m allergic to cats but they didn’t bother me at all and I enjoyed their presence. They were cute but if you were REALLY badly allergic I would check.
This beautiful hotel is just about perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful both before and during our visit. It is ideally located for all local attractions yet set back from the hustle and bustle, providing an oasis of calm with a lovely pool. The breakfast selection was great and plentiful. The staff at the hotel also provided great recommendations about trips and days out that turned out to be very good value. We will be back ! Don’t hesitate - book now.
Great location, friendly ambience, breakfast adequate, room clean and well equipped.
No lift, no kettle just coffee machine in room, price.
Visually stunning and spacious. Ample breakfast. Easy to meet gay travelers. Eager-to-help staff. Bathrooms, linens, beds, objets, architectural detailing, natural light, views from main levels and top floor are all excellent in prime location but away from traffic. It's a great hotel with an oblong pool and special events.
Outlet management in bedroom was tricker than expected but not a big whoop once I sorted it out. Minot inconsistencies with re-stocking bedroom supplies.
Perfetto
Clean, most stuff are friendly.
Kind expensive, location is just ok.
Location
Cleanliness, many ants in room. Coffee pot did not work.
Cosy, easy going and homely feeling making it super easy to relax. Great breakfasts. Staff are super friendly and approachable.
Room lacked some entertainment features like TV or speaker and basics like coffee were charged.
EXCEPTIONAL STAFF BEAUTIFUL RESORT
Very friendly staff, great location, lovely garden with a pool, great breakfast
Nothing
Great location, friendly staff, possibility to book tours directly with the hotel. Nice breakfast open until noon.
Room very small for a couple (14 m2). Price is too excessive in my opinion for this type of room. We met people who were also staying at the hotel and paid the same price as us for a much much bigger room. Pool and pool area were closed for most of our stay - should have been mentioned on the website, as it significantly decreases the value of the stay. Hotel was overall quite noisy. The late birds app is not updated. Some of the recommended restaurants are actually permanently closed and have been replaced by others.
Great location. Lovely and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff.
Everything is perfect. The amazing welcome. Friendly staff. Amazing breakfast. Incredible location!
Wonderful stuff, good rooms, great location
The room was comfortable and I loved the balcony
I had never heard of The Late Birds Lisbon before reading a travel blog by the “Nomadic Boys.” Between their recommendation and the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor, how could I go wrong? As it turns out, everything went right on my first visit to Lisbon, Portugal. First, the property is perfectly situated in Príncipe Real—close to everything yet just far enough away to provide real tranquility. The nightlife and activity of Bairro Alto are only steps away with its bars, cafés, shops, and even “my” grocery stop, Market Família. Everything you need is nearby. If you don’t find it in Bairro Alto, you will almost certainly find it in Chiado, just down the hill. Slightly more touristy, but full of wonderful cafés, incredible bakeries, and great shopping. Everything is within a short walk—and trust me, after the first day the hills will no longer be a challenge. The Late Birds itself is exactly what a boutique hotel should be: 16 clean, modern rooms in an intimate and welcoming setting. If you enjoy boutique hotels where the atmosphere is relaxed, personal, and welcoming, The Late Birds is the perfect place to stay while exploring Lisbon. From the very beginning the service was exceptional. Communication before arrival was excellent. They helped arrange airport transportation, even checked in with me while I was standing in the long immigration line after tracking my flight, and offered appealing tour options. And then there is the breakfast. The complimentary gourmet continental breakfast is outstanding. You won’t fully believe it until you sit down for your first morning at The Late Birds. But the most important part of the experience is the staff. Have you ever stayed at a hotel where you felt like a personal guest in someone’s home? That’s exactly how it feels here. The owner, Carlos, has created an amazing team that is genuinely friendly and passionate about making sure your stay is perfect. It is clear that he has built a culture of hospitality that makes guests feel welcomed from the moment they arrive. I’ve fallen in love with Lisboa, and I give much credit to everyone at The Late Birds who helped make that happen. Tip: Bring comfortable walking shoes and take time to explore the surrounding neighborhoods on foot—the best of Lisbon is just outside the hotel door. (Thank you so much to The Late Birds and the whole team for making my first trip to Lisbon perfect.)
Location, the room and the vibe
Breakfast didn’t include gluten free option and little options for lactose free (but it is also true that I didn’t inform before the host)
Breakfast was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful
It’s advertised with a pool which I expected to be open
Location was excellent, close to sights and gayland. Breakfast was delicious. Fresh real orange juice, eggs cooked to order.
Lighting in room was the only thing I could fault. One bulb, one lamp…
Nice architecture , nice garden
There were cats, and I have allergy and got really in trouble. The reaction of the manager was: What should I say and the cat is not allergic. Complete no compassion. I will not come back here
Service, staff, location, high standards
Staff rooms give and cleanliness of hotel well all perfect
L’emplacement
The breakfast was excellent - the staff was also so kind and made sure that we were taken care of, verified the time that we wanted to eat, and knew what we liked after our first breakfast.
Everything was PERFECT! Not a single thing that I did not like.
It was off-season while I was there, so I'm sure I didn't get the true flavor of the place. But it was clean, quiet and peaceful and I enjoyed the stay.
Location is amazing, the room was spacious and very comfortable and we got discounts on a popular establishment because we were hotel guests. Staff was also very helpful and friendly.
The room is a bit dark (not sufficient lightning). I also didn't like asking if we could have a few tea bags to the room (4 bags) and then bring charged 10 EUR for then. That kind of stains the good warm feeling we had in the hotel. Breakfast was also very basic for the price
Staff were very welcoming and nice, great location, great facilities, the design of the place was a joy. As a vegan, I was preferred a vegan breakfast with proper protein. A great place to stay as an lgbtq person
Nothing I'll come back
This is a lovely modern property in the heart of Lisbon that still feels like it belongs in old town.
The staff was exceptional. Great breakfast included. Quiet city location and very walkable to access attractions and restaurants.
It was Queer owned and friendly. Loved the staff and bar. The group trip to Sintra was amazing.

Staff is extremely accommodating and great location in Lisbon, close to attractions in the city . Enjoyed movie night!
Chambre petite.
The staff were extremely friendly and the rooms were very clean and it was easy to get to.
Sehr freundliches Personal, Zentrale Lage...
Everything about this place is perfect… the location, the room , the outdoor area, the pool, breakfast and most importantly the staff. Got so many wonderful recommendations from staff. Wonderful gay retreat!!!
Amazing atmosphere, friendly staff and perfect location
Whatever I say for this hotel would not be enough. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean. The garden with the pool is a prefect place for relaxation. Located in the heart of Lisbon.

Breakfast was exceptional and the staff who served it both in the week during the weekend were the nicest people I met in such a department

Late Birds was recommended to me by a few friends who had stayed there and they were right. Even before I arrived, the staff checked in with me through emails to make sure I was ready for my stay. From the moment I arrived in Lisbon, my experience at The Late Birds Lisbon Resort was exceptional. I was warmly greeted at the airport with a seamless transfer and felt the hospitality from the very first moment. Once I got to the resort, check-in was smooth, friendly, and personal — setting the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable visit. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel completely at home. Carlos, our gracious host, along with Philippe, Ricardo, Ryan, and the rest of the amazing team, created such a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Their genuine warmth and attention to detail made my experience that much more special. The rooms were beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable — the perfect retreat after exploring the city. The resort’s location in the heart of the Chiado neighborhood made it easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and some of Lisbon’s best sights. Everything I wanted to see was just a short stroll or tram ride away. A highlight of my stay was the sunset cruise on the river — a magical experience with amazing views, great company, and the Lisbon sunset was stunning. Thanks especially to Philippe for captaining his boat for all of us! The Late Birds Lisbon is more than just a place to stay — it’s a home away from home. The warmth, friendliness, and care of the entire team made my first visit to Lisbon truly unforgettable. I'll definitely be back!
The Late Birds Lisbon is an oasis in the midst of bustling Lisbon. The location makes travel around the city easy - with easy access to the Metro and the famous 28 trolley. Many wonderful restaurants and night spots are within walking distance. The property is well appointed and the rooms are comfortable. The staff is extremely gracious, helpful and friendly. I felt like one of the family - and now consider myself to be one of the Late Birds flock.
Greatest location for gay travelers. Modern renovations. Helpful staff. Ryan & Phillipe Meticulous renovations (except floors) friendly resident car.
Floors creaked. Not much overhead lighting
The Late Birds Lisbon is a peaceful retreat tucked into the city's lively neighborhood, with friendly, attentive staff and spotless, comfortable rooms. The breakfast is fresh and satisfying, and the serene atmosphere offers a perfect balance to Lisbon’s vibrant energy. Ideal for travelers seeking both relaxation and easy access to the best of the city.

The location is really the main highlight, though there is a lot more to recommend the Birds! Right in the heart of the city, it will feel like you discovered a very private oasis. I was very pleasantly surprised by how tranquil and restful such a central property can be! The very extended breakfast hours are also a great convenience.
No real complaints, though I guess I should warn anybody who might care that there is no elevator (there's only three floors, however).
Nice clean rooms. Clean building. Nice swimming pool and grounds. Good breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We took a taxi from the cruise port to the hotel. A 2 mile trip. We were charged 60 euros for the trip. One of the staff members ran up the hill took a picture of the license plate and called the taxi company and got back most of our money. We really appreciated that.

Breakfast was quite nice…a wide selection of items, both carbs and proteins, and friendly service in a charming setting. Beds quite comfortable. Loved the ability to keep the windows open for fresh air. Location was perfect…easy to walk all over the Bairro Also and Príncipe Real from the resort. The on premises bar served a wide variety of drinks from noon on, with friendly service. Staff were uniformly welcoming and helpful.
I would have liked a gym on the property, and it would have been nice to have a nice thick carpet in the room for stretching on in the morning. A gym pass was offered, but at an extra Euros 20.
It has been one of the best experiences I've had in a hotel, was my first in Portugal, in a solo trip and everyone in the hotel made me feel very much welcome, the breakfast is amazing, the vibe is calm, chill and fun, you can make friends very easily including the staff which was lovely.
I genuinely think everything was awesome, I don't have any complains.
Absolutely perfect — friendly staff, fantastic location, and great amenities. The basic rooms are a bit cozy, but the inviting common spaces more than make up for it. Highly recommend!
A nice hotel and great service
The Mac desktop is not working . The room is smaller.

Everything was perfect! Looking forward to visit again this hotel!
What a nice and peaceful place on a terrific central location !!!
