Wells Gray Inn

We had a spacious and clean room with beautiful views in the building closer to the hillside. The included breakfast was hearty, tasty, and accompanied by great service.

The room was spacious, but felt a bit sparse.

Beds were very comfortable. Front desk staff very friendly and accomodating when checking in. Restaurant and breakfast were excellent.

Liegt direkt an einer Verkehrskreuzung. Leider komplett in die Jahre gekommen und dringend renovierungsbedüftig.

De accommodatie is qua locatie goed gelegen om Wells gray park te bezoeken! De kamer was schoon en er werd rekening gehouden met onze voorkeuren. Het is wel vrij basic, dus verwacht niet teveel luxe.

Bij het ontbijt moesten we een keer wachten omdat er geen tafels vrij waren. Het leek ook te druk met te weinig mensen personeel.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön mit schönem Badezimmer und bequemen Betten. Alles sehr sauber.

Frühstück war enttäuschend. Es gab zwar a la card , aber nur 3 Versionen zur Auswahl: 1. Eier, Schinken, Toast u. Pommes, 2. Eier, Toast mit Schinken u. Käse u. Pommes (eigentlich das gleiche) und French Toast - also alles warm und eigentlich eher Mittag- oder Abendessen. Nicht nach unserem Geschmack. Da hatten wir was anderes erwartet und sind hungrig gegangen. Kaffee wurde auch nicht nachgeschenkt.

The inside was lovely and very clean rooms. Staff were very welcoming and kind. They had a great restaurant/ bar attached which was very reasonable priced and yummy food. Breakfast kept us going for the day too !!

The staff here is super friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was really good!

WiFi could have been better. I think that is the case throughout Clearwater though.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, Zimmer und Bad waren frisch renoviert. Unseres lag im Erdgeschoss, mit kleiner Terrasse zu einem Innenhof. Es gab 3 verschiedene Frühstücke zur Auswahl, die am Tisch serviert wurden. Wir haben auch die Bar zum Abendessen genutzt, diese ist gemütlich und das Essen ist sehr lecker. Wir würden dort wieder übernachten.

Dichtbij de bezienswaardigheden en het fantastische park. Ruime kamer met faciliteiten voor koffie en frigo. Lekker ontbijt.

Lek in badkamer maar men was wel behulpzaam. Een paar van de usbstekkers deed het niet. Opladen was daardoor moeilijk maar de host was zo vriendelijk om een stekker te lenen. Beetje werk aan.

Room is OK, big enough, clean, staff friendly. wifi ok.

The property was clean and definitely fit for purpose. The staff were super friendly and there was parking right outside the room. The location was ok as we only stayed one night as passing through.

Die Bedienung beim Frühstück war nicht besonders freundlich und hat uns z. B. die Marmelade erst gebracht, als wir danach gefragt haben. Die Laken haben nach Rauchen gerochen.

Da migliorare sicuramente gli orari del ristorante (chiudere alle 20 in alta stagione turistica non è una buona idea), ed anche la temperatura della stanza: nonostante siamo riusciti a spegnere il condizionatore con l'aiuto della reception, la temperatura interna era decisamente bassa, tanto che siamo stati costretti a dormire completamente coperti con anche il panno di lana perchè si gelava

Spacious, comfortable, clean. Good shower (albeit a bit small for my 6ft 4 husband). Sweet staff. Both dinner and breakfast was surprisingly good. Lots of parking.

Great location with its own on-site restaurant. The room was clean and comfortable, opening onto a garden at the rear. Restaurant staff were friendly and accommodating. The TV, though older, had working live channels and a guide.

The wooden flooring throughout gave the room a cold, basement-like feel, and the hallway echoed loudly with footsteps and doors. Heating was a problem — instructions restricted baseboard heat use until -15°C, so we relied on A/C only, which didn’t warm the floor and left one of us feeling unwell; running A/C overnight also dried the air out too much to continue using it. Bigger issue: the complimentary breakfast only had 3 options, all containing eggs, with no vegetarian alternative communicated in advance — my wife (vegetarian) was left with just toast. We only learned at checkout that a separate menu exists for regular guests, which could have solved this had we known sooner.

Von innen sind die Zimmer deutlich schöner als das Hotel von außen vermuten lässt. Der See (Dutch Lake) ist fußläufig erreichbar und wunderschön. Das Frühstück ist ok, wenn man es deftig mag. Der Wells Gray Provincial Park beginnt ein paar hundert Meter weiter. Es ist also die perfekte Basis zur Erkundung dieses Gebiets.

Das Hotel liegt an einer vielbefahrenen Kreuzung. Direkt daneben ist ein Schnapsladen - was für manche natürlich auch ein Pluspunkt sein kann 😉

Posizione strategica durante un viaggio di trasferimento, camera molto spaziosa e pulita.

Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Straße. Wir hatten ein Zimmer hintenraus. Es war außergewöhnlich ruhig und die Betten bequem. Das Hotel ist einfach, erfüllt aber seinen Zweck für eine Übernachtung.

Das Frühstück war inklusive. Wir haben allerdings 45 Minuten auf das Frühstück warten müssen. Einige Gäste mussten länger warten, da sie nicht platziert werden konnten. Vielleicht war 08:30 Uhr eine ungünstige Uhrzeit. Das Personal schien unkoordiniert und überfordert, wenngleich alle freundlich waren und das Frühstück klassisch kanadisch okay war.

There was an overpowering artificial scent when we entered the room like somebody had sprayed half a can of lemon deodorizer. I later realized it was to mask the smell of very stale BO in the bed and bedding. The breakfast staff were rude and dismissive. The wait for breakfast was over 30 minutes from whenever you were permitted to order. I had to abandon that as I didn’t have time to wait. The dining room was full of anxious guests patiently waiting to get their bill or food. The entire exterior smells like stale cigarettes.

Wells Gray Inn bietet große Zimmer. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit zwei Queensize-Betten. Das Zimmer ging zu einem Innenhof mit gepflegten Blumenkübeln hinaus. Es gab dort einen kleinen Bereich mit Tisch und zwei Stühlen. Das Bad war sauber, die Einrichtung schien fast neu. Das Frühstück war im Preis inbegriffen und gut.

Das Zimmer war recht dunkel. Der Vorteil der Lage zum Innenhof geriet hier zum Nachteil, denn man möchte gerne auch privat sein. Die Bedienung im Restaurant sollte noch einen Fortbildungskurs in Freundlichkeit machen.

Check-in was particularly frustrating. I had originally booked for two guests through Booking.com but messaged the hotel afterward to confirm we would also have a child under five. The hotel replied that, since we had booked a quadruple room able to accommodate 4 people, it would comfortably accommodate the three of us. When we arrived, however, we were only given two breakfast vouchers. When I asked for one for our child, the staff member rolled his eyes, sighed, and argued with me for 5 minutes because the original booking said two guests. I pulled up the Booking.com messages on my phone showing that the hotel had confirmed the child, but he cut me off and refused to even look at them. Interestingly, when we got to the room, there were three of every type of towel provided, which further suggested the hotel was well aware there would be three of us. He eventually gave us the breakfast voucher, but sarcastically told me I needed to give him “10 stars” for doing so. The payment process was also confusing, as I was shown two different papers with amounts that didn’t appear correct, but neither was given to me. The beds were quite hard, the towels were scratchy, the TV barely worked, and the shower fluctuated from freezing cold to extremely hot. It was also very noisy, with people screaming in the hallways from around 11 p.m. to midnight with no apparent staff intervention.

Easily accessible, although on a high-traffic road, the rooms are quiet. In the area there are very restful and evocative places to spend some time in nature. The breakfast was ok.

Das Frühstück hat zwar lange gedauert, war aber ok. Der Service, als der Fernseher nicht funktionierte, war gut.

Das hellhörigste Hotel, das ich kenne. Vom Flur, von den Nachbarn und dem Zimmer darüber hört man alles. Nichts zum Wohlfühlen. Liegt direkt an einer großen Straße. Die Wiese vom Foto befindet sich auf der anderen Straßenseite.

The Breakfast could have been better. Toast your engl8sh muffins if your gonna make a breakfast sandwich. I guess it comes down to personal preference, we asked for them ( the English Muffins) to be extra toasted and there was a language barrier with the staff. The people sitting next to us that arrived after us had time to get there food and eat it before we were served our meal, and it still wasn't right... at that point we had been sitting there for 45 min... so I guess asked for your toast extra crispy not toasted...? Not upset just scratching my head...

Das Hotel war fast besser als erwartet. Auch wenn es sehr einfach ist und auch nicht mehr ganz neu, ist alles sehr ordentlich und sauber. Die Zimmer waren groß und unser Zimmer, das nach hinten raus ging, auch sehr ruhig. Direkt am Hotel liegt auch ein Restaurant, in dem man durchaus gut und preiswert essen kann. Hier gibt es auch das Frühstück, das deutlich höherwertig ist als für diese Hotelklasse üblich. Wenn man es mitgebucht hat, bekommt man eine eingeschränkte Karte, bei der man aus 3 Varianten auswählen kann. Hat man es nicht mitgenbucht, kann man da auch aus der großen Karte ein Frühstück wählen. Das machen durchaus auch einige Locals.

More options in the breakfast would be warmly recommended. Dinner waiting time a bit too long.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und hatte sehr gute Betten. Trotz der Lage direkt an der Hauptstraße war vom Verkehr nichts zu hören. Das im Preis enthaltene Frühstück war ganz ok.

Das Haus ist hellhörig, wir hatten ein Zimmer im EG und hörten die Gäste im OG.

Friendly staff especially the lady on the bar on Thursday evening. She worked so hard but still had time for everyone. The food was great. Also the location to the amazing waterfalls.

The bathroom fan and the air conditioning were so load we had to turn them off as it was unbearable. No hairdryer in the room although one was supplied when we asked.

$9 for a load of washing/drying was a bit rich! Large group staying at hotel who ate in restaurant which then prevented many other patrons from eating. Reception could have advised people when checking in to eat early to avoid being disappointed. Only one server in restaurant which was hectic for her. Guy on reception ended up serving and helping in restaurant.

Het ligt zeer centraal en het is er schoon. Er zit een ontbijt bij inbegrepen, je kan uit 3 gerechten kiezen. Er is een binnentuin waar je lekker kan zitten. Aan de buitenkant ziet het er oud uit maar binnen is het volledig gerenoveerd.

Het was bij het ontbijt erg druk. Het personeel deed zijn best maar we moesten best lang wachten.

Het verblijf is prima voor een enkele overnachting op doorreis. De kamers waren redelijk schoon. De bedden lagen goed. We konden de auto gratis parkeren voor de deur.

De wifi was erg traag. Het gebouw ziet er oud en vervallen uit en kan wel een opknapbeurt gebruiken. Het ontbijt werd a la carte geserveerd en was niet erg smakelijk

Es un edificio antiguo pero está cuidado. No me gustó la pintura de las habitaciones y del pasillo q da acceso. La decoración es muy simple. Valoro la limpieza pero no me gustaría hospedarme más de una noche

Tipico motel affacciato sulla strada principale. La struttura internamente sembra essere stata rinnovata di recente, camera pulita, personale cortese. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, la tariffa includeva anche la colazione.

Molte camere affacciano sulla strada e i servizi sono minimali, anche se c’è tutto ciò che serve.

Gute Lage für einen Zwischenstopp. Es war sehr sauber & das Frühstück war sehr lecker! Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Sehr alte Einrichtung und wenig Steckdosen. Lampe am Bett hat nicht funktioniert.

Struttura pulita e accogliente, in posizione strategica sulla strada tra Jasper e Banff, alle porte di Wells Gray. Le camere sono perfettamente equipaggiate di tutto quanto possa servire e la struttura in generale è accogliente, dotata di diversi servizi e gestita da uno staff gentile e disponibile. Il bar e il liquor store a due passi completano l’offerta.

La colazione inclusa è ottima, ma basic e serve armarsi di pazienza perché il servizio è lento, meglio evitare l’orario dalle 08:30 in avanti.

The Inn was cute, and the restaurant breakfast was excellent.

The fans in the bathroom and AC were very loud.

Notre chambre était confortable avec une porte ouvrant sur une jolie cour extérieure. Bel endroit calme, et propre. Personnel courtois, et petit déjeuner complet. Seul bémol est qu'on aurait apprécié plus de fruits au petit déjeuner, mais le petit déjeuner était standard (oeufs, choix de viandes, café à volonté, tisanes etc). L'hôtel est central, au milieu de Clearwater.

Tout était bien.

It seems a little old outside, but inside totally different, clean and comfortable. And the breakfast was very good!

We hadden een zeer ruime kamer. Het bed is niet zeer breed, maar voldoende om met 2 in te liggen. Deze kamer heeft enkel hoge ramen. Het personeel aan het ontbijt is super vriendelijk. Wij hebben ook 's avonds gegeten in het restaurant en het was heel lekker. Prima hotel als doorreis of om 2 nachten te blijven zoals wij.

Ontvangst was super bij de receptie. Verder prima hotel met een geweldig restaurant. De Chinese serveerster was top. Wat een vriendelijk mens was dat.

De buiten kant nodigt niet echt uit

The location of this motel is right on the freeway and serves well as a convenient 1 night stop over. It has an onsite restaurant with a varied menu and breakfast was included.

We found the motel a little soulless. The staff weren't particularly friendly - didn't look like they wanted to be there. Otherwise for a stop over it ticked all the boxes and what can be expected of a roadside motel.

Das Motel liegt unweit vom Wells Gray Provincial Park. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war top, eines der Billigsten auf unserer Reise. Das ganze Hotel schien frisch renoviert zu sein, die Zimmer geräumig und sehr sauber, der Innenhof war schön angelegt mit Sitzmöglichkeiten und Grill. Das Abendessen im dazugehörigen Restaurant war sehr gut und zum Frühstück gab es sogar drei warme Gerichte zur Auswahl. Wenn man die Außenfassade sieht, glaubt man nicht was dahinter steckt.

Super frisch zubereitetes Frühstück, dieses wurde serviert. Kein Buffet.

Die Betten waren nicht so bequem. Das ganze Hotel ist schon etwas älter. Eine Renovations wäre schön.
