Llandudno Bay Hotel

Clean and good food and a coffee machine that was actually quite good.

Too far out from shops and restaurants for my liking. We got a standard small double room which overlooked the back of the property with a huge, noisy extractor fan of some sort. Having said that we would stay again but pay a little bit more for a sea view

Something wasn't right with the toilet plumbing, the smell was bad and I'm sure sewage kept leaking into the toilet. If you didn't get down early enough for the breakfast there wasn't much choice as they didn't replenish it

Check-in was easy, as we'd already pre-paid. The promenade location means that access to the seafront is literally 'on the doorstep'. (At breakfast on the first morning we were treated to 2x dolphins swimming past, directly across from the hotel...honestly!) And the breakfast is a very nice spread, even without the added entertainment. Plenty of choice, and the cooked options are of a high quality - no complaints at all. The staff appear to be genuinely friendly & helpful. The bar staff and breakfast crew were always present, and switched-on.

The design of these old buildings really show their age, compared to newer, more modern accommodation options. We only saw 1 lift, and that was very slow in operation, so if you're unlucky to arrive just behind one of the regular coach trips, you can expect quite a wait (or a trek upstairs) to get your case upstairs. Our room (#122) was spacious enough, but quite a strange configuration, so not all the space is really usable.

Being missled by their Internet pictures of a double bedroom showing armchair and large window sea view and Being given an attic room not big enough to fit a armchair in, also a large beam you had to bend to get under to get to the other side of the bed it was in my opinion certainly not worth the £335 for 2 nights I paid for. The ad does not mention you might be put in a box room that was more suited to a single bed, very !very ! disappointed as this was a wedding anniversary surprise for my wife.

Everything about this hotel is amazing, this far than what i expected and we loved the stay here and would choose this over and over again

The bathroom was too small to fit in to, the door wedged open at the sink and the toilet behind this, I had to shuffle to the left, then shuffle to the right, then close door, same again when I had used toilet, or would have jammed me in. Bath was very low so couldn't use, and shower was too narrow to even get a wash as you couldn't move in it. No safety hand rails, health and safety hazard at its finest!!! Window wouldn't open at all, fan dirty full of dust and lamp had water stains all over. Noise was terrible at night, people banging on floor, shouting, running down stairs, not slept at all the whole night. Waste of money, and didn't enjoy stay in bit because if this, we went home early today because this as we were both shattered through no sleep. Would definitely NOT recommend!!!

The staff throughout the hotel are absolutely lovely and so very helpful. There had been a bit of a mix up on my dad’s room, but this was swiftly resolved by Sophie who was very understanding. Cannot fault the service and hospitality. The building is tired in places and the carpet downstairs needs a thorough cleaning but I understand it’s going to be replaced by wooden flooring at some stage, so this will be much better. Carpets in the rooms were fab though. Dinner was ok, chicken Ballantine a little dry, but tasty. Breakfast plentiful, good choice of fruits and cheese etc and cooked food as well. In all a pleasant stay in a comfortable room.

Mattress we found a little too firm. Eggs not to my taste as scrambled and poached came out hard. I stuck to fried which were served runny, I guess it’s best to ask for how you like them cooked when ordering.

I made an extra payment for this beach front room for my partner wedding anniversary for a memorable day. When I check-in the moment I came to the room, I realised that the room window is full with dirty, note at all cleaned. My first priority and requirement for the windowside beach view room, immediately I approached the receptionist to report this issue and change my room. But the declined my request. They said that all rooms are booked.They can't do anything more for this situation. That was made me sad.

I loved the spacious room and the beautiful view from my window brilliant room definitely will book that room again , the staff were lovely and helpful great customer service and the doggie restaurant was a lovely touch to as I stopped at the hotel with my dog

The room was on top floor with sloping beams restricting getting to left side of bed without bending right down! No one told us that booking .com provided these type of rooms! Couldn’t get it changed , offered to pay more! We were very upset!

Lovely touches in the bedroom and the coffee maker was bonus plus the Elmis products in the bathroom. It was quiet too to sleep. Breakfast was very good and roomy dining room. Above all else though, every member of staff we came into contact with could not have been more polite, friendly and very helpful. All credit to those lovely people.

Beautiful Victorian hotel with excellent bar and restaurant facilities. Our bay view room had a comfortable large bed with good bathroom. All the staff we encountered were professional, helpful and friendly. First class breakfast with a very good choice.

Well we never like to criticise, but it could be cleaner. Whilst the Upper floor and room carpets were fine, the ground floor carpets were in desperate need of a clean. And there was an unacceptable level of dust in places that could easily have been cleaned. Only a minor criticism, but nevertheless we felt it needed addressing.

Very clean and bright with a welcoming staff and a perfect location.

The staff were all very friendly and professional and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The lounge area is comfortable. The restaurant is beautiful Our rooms were spotlessly clean, airy and comfortable All the little extras were ideal ie the eye mask and ear plugs and the full selection of tea,coffee and hot chocolate sachets The added Luxury of the coffee machine was perfect I really enjoyed seeing the telescope too.

The room was on the top floor under the eaves and it got a little warm in the evening and overnight and it hadn't been a particularly hot day. There was a fan in the room which helped overnight with the window open.

The property was smart and very clean, approx a mile walk from the town centre. Easy to park on the street in front of the hotel and we managed to find a space on a side street on day 2 so we were able park for free. We had a great sea view as described. The bathroom was very clean and the shower cubicle large. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty with lots of options.

Our room was very compact with not much space around the bed, smaller than I had anticipated although I hadn’t seen a photo of exactly what I had booked. There were multiple guests with dogs which I wasn’t expecting. They weren’t allowed in the bar or restaurant but were in other shared spaces. We struggled to find the property initially as the photo we had seen when booking showed it to be blue but it’s actually grey.

Close to the theatre, the breakfast was excellent. The staff were amazing, the friendliest staff where nothing was too much trouble.

The rooms were a little small, the Elemis shampoo & conditioner were watered down which was disappointing.

The property was beautiful and well maintained. Everything in the room you could think of with an amazing shower. Great lift and a ramp in for the less mobile. Excellent staff and the love for dogs. Good location right across from the best part of the beach.

One of our rooms was much smaller than the other even though it was 3 doors away. No big problem though. A little bit away from the pier and main town for our less mobile family

Seafront location. Lovely large, clean room with a big bed and large television. Comfortable seating areas inside and outside. The service from everyone at the hotel was impeccable, nothing was too much trouble. They were all really friendly and helpful. Dogs are welcome and get a sausage for breakfast!

Quite a long way from the centre if you have mobility problems. The hallways are very narrow if you use a wheelchair and the lift is very small. Breakfast was a little disappointing and not very hot.

I loved how the staff treated solo Travers. It was my first time and felt safe and so comfortable. Brilliant xx

I don’t understand why some people leave fake reviews. We actually had a really good experience at this hotel. The staff were friendly, the service was good, and our stay was comfortable. Our review is based on our genuine experience, and we would happily stay here again.

this was the most gorgeous hotel along the whole bay, stunning! lovely staff who treated my dog so amazing, giving him treats at any point, getting him water ect. Would 100% visit again!

Das Hotel ist sehr Hundefreundlich. Der Hunde durfte mit ins Restaurant. Und es gab eine Hundefreundlichen Frühstücksraum.

Das Zimmer war klein und das Bett unbequem. Fenster konnte schlecht geöffnet werden. Es war sehr heiss.

L'albergo si trova in una splendida posizione sul lungomare. Un po' distante dal centro, ma si tratta di una scelta. Personale cordiale, per quel poco che è stato necessario interagire. Buona la pulizia della struttura e delle camere.

Le camere (in questo caso matrimonale con letto francese) sono piccolissime. Inoltre al primo piano si percepisce chiaramente, sia stando in piedi che a letto, che il pavimento non è orizzontale. Il bagno è pure piccolo, tanto che la porta può essere aperta solo a metà. La presenza di una vasca da bagno con uno spazio di 20 centimetri dal muro rende poi disagevole l'accesso alla doccia.

It looks lovely from the outside, and we really liked the sitting area downstairs. The place is clean and conveniently close to local amenities and the beach.

The carpets appear a little tired and may benefit from being refreshed to enhance the overall look of the space.

The location and the food was good so was the room

Full of dogs , and was even in the main dining room , receptionist wasn’t very good either never said anything just they was dog friendly , not good won’t be coming back , cost £320 for 2 nights and stayed 1 , but £15 a night for a dog big loss for hotel when customers pay a lot for their stay then they don’t return, use to be lovely staying there for many years before but not now .

Hotel is great right on sea front very stylish interior. Had Sunday lunch which was really nice and good value, drinks reasonable price and lovely to sit outside. We travelled by train so can’t comment on parking but is at quieter end Bathroom in bay view room was tiny worth checking if you have mobility issues which room you are in But views were great can’t fault it

Vi betalade ganska mycket extra för att få havsutsikt, men det var fågelbajs på fönstret (inte dagsfärskt). Sa till i receptionen, men det åtgärdades inte. Städpersonalen lägger rena sängkläder och handdukar på golvet i korridoren i väntan på att de ska användas - väldigt ohygieniskt, se bild. Slarvigt rengjort i rummet - bland annat glasringar på borden.

Modern and clean with a luxurious feel. Hotel is in an excellent location on the sea front, a minutes walk (if that) to the beach & a short walk along the promenade to the pier/ main attractions etc. Delicious breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. Restaurant staff were amazing! Super helpful and great with our toddler when she was getting a bit restless. Whoever was working on Friday 7th at around 7:30pm- you were great. Good facilities in hotel room and very clean with a sea view. Comfy beds, good TV & shower. Overall a great stay.

Hotel room was very hot at night- a good fan is provided but was still very hot. The room that we were in had a few stairs to go down to get to it and a narrow door frame before our room which our pram didn’t fit through- We did manage but was a bit of a struggle.
