Great to be in such a historic home. Great location.

Wish the tv was a smart tv so we could cast from our phones or iPad. Breakfast would have been nice to have but I understand that staffing is an issue and it is late in the season. Perhaps a list of available locations for breakfast spots available as it was difficult to find…first day of school so many family own businesses were closed

It was well placed in the middle of Water street. The room was very clean and comfortable.

The location was fantastic!

The rooms look like they were updated sometime in the 1970's, and haven't been touched since. Thin walls (the person snoring loudly next door sounded like they were in our room), chipped paint, old dirty carpets, run down feel. Had a hard time to understand the check-in person due to their thick Indian accent.

Rooms are old and could be modernized.

Great location within a few minutes walk of some nice restaurants and pubs along the water. Clean rooms and comfortable sleep. It is an old motel with unique stairway and room layouts, which made it unique and enjoyable.

The sink is in the room, but outside of the bathroom, just part of the old design, no big deal if you’re alone.

Very centrally located and a nice restaurant with good food and decent prices. Nobody was at the reception desk when we arrived but quickly came over from the bar area once they noticed we were standing at the counter.

I booked a queen suite and ended up with a double room. It was clean and comfortable and for only one night so it wasn’t enough to make a complaint. It would be very convenient if the location offered breakfast. There is only one family owned place for breakfast and another small coffee/bagel/muffin place in town.

The aircon in the room was loud

Great location right by everything else in town and the dock for whale watching trips. The room was huge and staff were friendly.

Bed was pretty uncomfortable, very firm on the outside and sunk too much in the middle. AC window unit was super loud but what can you do.

Access to the hotel from the parking lot is terrible.

Nothing as we couldn't make it to St. Andrew's so we couldn't stay there and we denied a refund. I canceled the morning before.

The room was big, clean, comfortable and had a fantastic view! The staff at check in was friendly and helpful.

The window air conditioner was loud! There was a dining room/restaurant on site, but they were not open for breakfast which was disappointing because it was very difficult to find something open for coffee/breakfast.

Beautiful old property, good parking. Bed was very soft. Music carried up from the lounge area until 10:30 PM!

It's a little funky because it's an old hotel, but I like that about it. The rooms were gussied up sufficiently.

The lobster roll I had for dinner was a little on the skimpy side, but the chowder was good.

The staff were friendly and you could tell the room was cleaned well by staff to best they could, but room needs some fixes.

Room desperately needs a lot of touch ups and fixes - holes around tub need covered up, ceiling paint peeling off, register cover missing piece, ac barely cooled room. There is a bad smell in the parking area.

What a find. Inexpensive, right in the heart of St Andrew’s. Staff could not be more accommodating. Shout out to server Lydia and Housekeeping, led by Dolores were super helpful and accommodating. Even the owner, never got a name, was kind and helpful. 10/10

The handmade, a/c support of lumber and duct in our room gave me a chuckle.

Idéalement situé, personnel très disponible, employées absolument parfaites et super gentilles. Nous avons eu un surclassement, très apprécié. Pas cher je crois pour cette ville mais vieil immeuble qui n'a pas été rafraîchit depuis quelques années. En revanche, très propre, confortable. C'est vraiment un 3 étoiles. Nous sommes quand même très satisfaits. Nous n'avons pas eu l'occasion d'essayer le resto mais il était toujours plein. Stationnement vraiment apprécié.

It is in the perfect location - and the facilities are nice and clean but it is very expensive based on the fact that the room and bathroom are extremely dated

The hotel although very historic the rooms need much needed TLC. It could a fresh coat of paint, and a bit more elbow grease in the room cleaning.

We ate at the restaurant. The food was delicious. The staff at the restaurant and hotel were very friendly and capable.

Great spot with small sitting room and kitchenette. The hotel restaurant had good food and was busy. Located right near the wharf, it was a super place to stay.

The bed was pretty soft but nice.

Beds were super comfortable and the bathroom was very spacious. Lots of storage and counter space. Air conditioner in the room allowed us both to be comfortable sleeping.

No full body mirror. Problem with sound on the TV.

Location is great!!

Don’t try to take a shower! Water goes from hot to cold and cold to hot and impossible to take a decent shower. Paint is pealing off the walls which gives the feeling of an old run-down motel.

Room was a bit small and the window air conditioner was installed completely inside the room with the window open so its efficiency was a bit degraded and loud. Looking at the room from the parking lot you can see the two rooms with “new windows” that unfortunately don’t fit an a/c unit.

Found out after that there is no staff present over night... what if there was a medical emergency or fire...

With few options as it was late and most restaurants were closing, we decided to go to Kennedy House Restaurant. We had the salmon fish chowder, Calamari and Lobster roll besides a few other items. The salmon fish chowder was very good, the Lobster roll was OK as the lobster was a bit tough. All other dishes ordered were good. The service was good and our server gave a few recommendations which were good. Overall a good place for a Family or couples meal. Will definitely go back if wenvosot Saint Andrew again. Price: $$$ - $$$$

The location was perfect for the Canada Day festivities. The staff was excellent and very accommodating. The building itself is an old classic, but has been kept in rather good repair throughout the main areas.

Using the shower each morning was certainly an adventure, the water kept shifting from hot to cold. Could be dangerous for seniors who like a morning shower. Our AC unit was a little finicky and barely maintained a comfortable level. Our room was very small and had only one chair, a little awkward for 2 seniors; housekeeping did find us another chair.

Room for 4 has 2 double beds. These should be queen size for a more comfortable sleeping space.

Staff were personable and helpful. The hotel; built in 1881 is full of charm and has been modernized to be comfortable. We would defiantly stay here again.

Keep in mind that the rooms are above a lively bar and restaurant. Don't know when the last call at the bar was, but we fell asleep with the AC unit running as white noise.

We loved the historic, well maintained hotel, complemented with all the modern amenities. A lovely room.

The only positive thing I can say about this place is it is footspteps away from the many restaurants and shops in St. Andrews. We would highly recommend you avoid the Kennedy House to stay at. It was a HUGE disappointment!!! Staying at a historic inn was an appeal for us but after taking a closer look it was clear the inn was pretty worn and in need of repair. It seemed like old furniture was just stashed in our room and the pieces were outdated. Save your money and stay somewhere else!

Wir haben für den Preis wenig erwartet und waren angenehm überrascht. Wir hatten ein grosses Bett (nur ein bisschen weich), das Bad war mit allem gut ausgestattet. Alles war sehr sauber. Das Zimmer war groß und hatte eine Küchenzeile. Die Ausstattung enthielt alles - vom Bügelbrett bis zum Kühlschrank. Auch freies WiFi ist vorhanden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Haus weist eine gute Speisekarte vor. Die Lage im wunderschönen St. Andrews by-the-sea ist 1a. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Great location. The room was quiet and very clean. The bed was comfortable. I liked the blackout curtains.

One thing I wish was having at least a small sink in a bathroom, because in this specific room (not sure about others), you have to go back to the room to wash your hands after using a toilet.

Nice historic inn. Not fancy but clean and nice. Lots of hot, hot water. Good food. Extremely good location for seeing St Andrews. Walkable location. Yes, cannabis dispensary in back but did NOT see "unsavory" individuals in parking lot as other reviews said. You want fancy clientele stay at the incredibly expensive Algonquin.

The bed was like a cloud. The location cannot be beat. We ate at the restaurant and the seafood chowder was the best in town. Heavenly.

We were very disappointed with the food. We were looking for a tasty lobster roll. Their special was chowder and/or ice cream. With a lobster roll. Since they had run out of chowder, I asked if I could substitute a small house salad but was told no. Instead we just ordered the regular with fries. There was about 1/3 cup of lobster/celery on just plain white bread with fries that were mostly likely frozen McCain's. We only ordered water. Our bill after tax was over $60. How is that possible? I will say the hostess was friendly but the food was not worth it.

It is old school vintage accommodation. Nice food. Entertainment. Balcony . Kitchen. Couch, table.

We really enjoyed this property! The staff were wonderful, the room extremely clean, the dinner in the downstairs restaurant was exceptionally tasty. It is a heritage building with an elevator! It is right “downtown “ in beautiful St. Andrews! Roseanne and Tara made our stay extra special. Ample parking and a comfortable bed! Who could ask for more!

Everything was great!

The restaurant was great, even though tried to get food at 8:10pm on a Saturday and kitchen was closed. There was live music, so you would think have some sort of menu

It was the hottest room I have ever stayed in! No AC, or even fan, or offer of a fan. Needs renovations in the room, bath tub was not acceptable to me.
