Room small but comfy quiet .

Not enough hooks in room to hang towls x coats .

The hotel was convenient as we were going to a wedding.

We had a small double room and bathroom. The toilet door opened inward so you had to go to the right then close the door to use the toilet. As we were on the top floor when people below were using hot water we hadn't any so if we wanted a shower we had to have one later evening or later in the morning. We booked this hotel because the hotel we wanted had no vacancies.

My neice got a phone call regarding her room saying booking.com shouldn't have allowed her to only book one night and she wasn't able to have the room because there was a coach party now booked in and she would have to find somewhere else. Baring in mind it was for Saturday night on the bank holiday weekend. An hour later I got a phone call saying they had a leak in the hotel and were having to move people out of the hotel. Fair enough they got us another hotel as we were booked and paid for for 4 nights. But they lied and put a family of 8 out of rooms we had booked months in advance for a coach party that had clearly only just booked. I have no idea what the hotel is like so I can't comment but the owners obviously have absolutely no morals.

Every step we took in both the bathroom and bedroom creaked ridiculously, never stayed somehere like that before. Couldn’t sleep at all due to noises from other room especially the snoring which I know is not the hotels fault but shows how thin the walls are.

We booked the Georgian hotel but got moved to the Lawton, a cheaper hotel than what id paid for

Everything got moved to Lawton Hotel on Charnley Road they say leak above room we were suppose to stay in and hotel was full. All this happened a few days before our stay.

The location and the staff on reception

The carpet in my bedroom had stains on it and I think 10am is a bit early for check out 11am would much better

The mattress on single n double were awful ,springs poking and noisy on turning over and it felt like lathes of wood in-between the springs ,you could not get comfortable and the pillows were so hard and heavy.

The staff were extremely pleasant, the room was clean and was upgraded of arrival without me asking which was a bonus!

The breakfast staff were friendly, but they seemed to rush you to get a full English.

There was no menu to see what you could choose from, and nobody asked about dietary requirements at all. There was a limited choice of cereal and jams, and no fresh fruit whatsoever. At £10 per person — and £10 for children too — it is absolutely not worth the money, especially for what you actually get. On top of that, the room was dirty — towels had stains on them, and the shower was filthy. The staff were also useless — didn’t give us any information about anything during our stay. Definitely not value for money and won’t be returning.

Letting people no if lifts not working when we booked a disabled room then the staff swearing and shouting that really upset a disabled person with learning disabilities then no response of the manager that I have tried to get in contact with shocking customer service would definitely not recommend

I dintlike the stairs leading too our room on second floor .carpets were dirty .& needed a gd hoover & the bathroom..was filthy .shower base was black & the rim.off the handbasin was black.too .full room just out me right off & we had a 2night.stay

Het is een héél vies hotel. Kamers zijn ontzettend klein, vieze vloerbedekking, een heel vieze douche met vaak koud water, alles was gewoon te vies om aan te raken. Heel slechte bedden, waar je de vering in het matras voelt. De lift werkt al maanden niet.

Location was ideal. Facilities met my expectations. Staff were very helpful.

We have stayed before and liked it sadly when we went this time the lifts were broken and had 3 flights of stairs to climb and getting a shower was virtually impossible due to no water pressure

Had a bit of trouble but staff were very friendly but didn't help with our luggage.

Had no lift in the place.witch was hard work as we were well into our 70s. Shower didn't work in our room so had to go to another room.

The bed was not great, and my shower did not have pressure, only dripped water. Went to ask for maintenance, which should have been there the next day but in my 5 days there the shower reamined unfixed.

Room was small which was expected. Hot and stuffy which was also expected as i would not have expected A/C in this type of building. Might have been a good idea to supply a fan for the room.

The staff were great, friendly, helpful and always around, the room was spotless and well decorated, the breakfast was quick and no fuss, the location was great for the winter gardens for the punk festival, I would highly recommend.

The bed was a bit lumpy for us but we like a fitm mattress, you can't please everyone.

Great location, I've stayed here a couple of times and the staff are great! Clean rooms and nightly entertainment and bingo.

There are quite a few stairs, but they have a lift and ramp for the entrance.

Music at night was too loud for my room everything seemed to vibrate like bass on machine was set too high

It was good to wind down after dancing at the at the Tower ballroom. The bar was open till 3 am and the staff friendly.

Noisy at night. The noise from next doors bathroom carried into my room. Also voices from the street below in the early hours.

Near to town centre

The lift not working ,my shower base was dirty and the bed was lumpy. In the second room had no hot water all weekend

It appeared to be dirty. Carpet had clearly not be vacuumed for a good while, especially on the stairs. Lift was out of order, so had to use two flights of stairs and my mum has poor mobility. However, staff did arrange for a ground floor room when we brought it to their attention.

The room was clean and had everything required for a short stay. The room was very warm during the hot weather and a fan would have been useful. The location was excellent. Breakfast and dinner were good. Staff were amazing.

When we arrived I was told due to a flood that we were now moved to the first floor Into room 16 a room you could not swing a car in which on closer inspection the beds had bugs all I’ve them and it was a shower over a bath no good for what my fiancée suffers with we were then given room 12 oh my god if this is your standard well I am dismayed where do I start toilet was smelling of damp cracked tiles on wall ceiling extractor fan did not work there was a window in the room that overlooked a courtyard but the dirt on it was a joke we were awoken eve day to the kitchen cooking breakfast and the dustbin men collecting the bins one of the ceiling lights in the main room did not work black marks on wall where head board for bed should be to be honest it was a tired place in need of a good restoration

The room. Hot water soon ran cold after running the bath and the shower never even ran warm water.. Bed was uncomfortable, paint peeling off the walls, damp on the ceiling, toilet made one hell of a noise after flushing.

The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good.

The lift wasn't working and the rooms are a bit outdated. The floorboards creaked everywhere you walked in the room, as did the room above. The bathroom door was literally right next to the bed, and the bathroom was a bit on the small side, to say the least.

We wasnt expecting the Ritz for what we paid. They could look at the cleanliness of the rooms. Found a random sock behind the chair in the room. Shower needed a proper clean.

Although the lift wasn't working the cleaner could have run the hoover over the stairs. One damp towel on arrival to share between two. Cold showers.

The staff were brilliant including pav the bar staff. The food and the entertainment was excellent.

First room we was given had a horrible smell to it requested to be moved they moved us 2nd room was loads better but being on the 5th floor and no lift available was a struggle especially with suitcases other than that was a great stay

The staff were amazing The entertainment was brilliant.

The beds are uncomfortable BUT if you ask them they will put extra toppers on.

I cannot speak highly enough of every staff member, I have recently been diagnosed with an illness that affects my speech. The staff went out of their way to help me nothing was too much trouble, and I didn’t once feel judged, the staff were very kind to me made my stay at the Georgian Hollies amazing, A great big thank you to you all from all 5 of us

It is very clean lovely staff, a short walk to amenities, entertainment each night and the staff really do care

We’re we’re on the 3rd floor (room 104) There was literally no water pressure at any time of the day to have a proper shower.

The room I was In 73 with the warm weather it was awfully hot with no air at all which made my stay really uncomfortable also where my room is situated was right above the entertainment area which the music was really loud through the floor into my room so means I couldn’t go to bed properly till about midnight nor could I hear the tv. All in all I love the hotel I just wouldn’t have anyone put in that room because it’s so loud and stuffy and not ideal I think I would be asking for a different room next time.

IM DISABLED AND LIFT WAS NOT WORKING STAFF SAID IT HAD NOT BEEN WORKING FOR 4 DAYS CLEANERS SAID A FEW WEEKS I BELIEVE CLEANERS SO GUESTS SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD THIS BEFORE PAYMENT CAME OUT SO THEY COULD BOOK ELSEWHERE ALSO TV NOT WORKING BOOKING.COM THINK THEY CAN FOB ME OFF WITH £25 CREDIT ? WELL THEY CANT IM TAKING THIS FURTHER I PAID £125 FOR 2 NIGHTS AS ACCOMADATION SAID IT HAD A LIFT AND TV THE LIFT WAS FAR MORE IMPORTANT THE HOTEL WERE IN BREECH OF WHAT THEY STATE FOR DISABLED THEY WONT GET AWAY WITH THIS

Great location, great entertainment, staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable and food was lovely ,and a great atmosphere, will definitely be going back😁
