The location was amazing, and the staff couldn’t do enough there was one staff member as we left didn’t catch their name was amazing, gave me a couple bite for my scrap book!

The location is excellent and it was reasonably priced. Breakfast was nice and staff were friendly. The room was also modern and comfortable.

Too much noise for my taste from the tram passing next to the hotel, so I was awake by about 6:30 every day.

Perfect location, right next to Picadilly station. Although on a main road, the sound proofing was good. Staff were friendly on the desk, and the lobby had nice, stylish decoration. Bed was large and comfortable. I liked how well the tea and coffee station was hidden. Nice and compact in a small space.

The TV is a Loewe branded TV, which I understand is quite fancy - however the framerate was quite poor and regularly cutout when watching a film. The room itself is very small, but we were only staying a night so wasnt a huge issue.

Impossible pour moi d'avoir quelque chose à manger au bar car que des plats pré-préparés avec des trucs allergènes dedans. Rien de simple comme un sandwich ou une petite salade.

Great location right in front of the station you arrive from the airport. 10-15min walk to absolutely anywhere in the city center. Bed was super comfortable and the hotel lobby looked beautiful. Breakfast looked great and smelled really good (we booked without it so didn’t try) They keep our luggage before check-in/after check-out. Also you can check-in at any time of the day

It lacked proper shampoo (only those body/hair combos) and no hair conditioner at all.

The air con in the room was broken and I spent 5 hours and 6 trips down to reception trying to get the hotel to fix it. They finally agreed to move me to a different room but the only option they gave me stank of sewage so I had to stay where I was.

The room that displayed on your booking was totally different to what I had. When I ask about my room the staff was very unhappy

Felt very poor value for money. The room is tiny. Room also had a broken stool which when i sat on, i fell back & hit my head Breakfast choices awful - no selection of juices & water, only 1 yoghurt choice which was like paste, poor selection of fruit. Had paid for breakfast for 2 days - didn't bother taking it second day Girl with blonde hair very rude at breakfast

First time in a Motel One and will not be the last. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Very nice lobby where you could wind down in the evenings. Room was spacious enough and very comfortable, view of the city was a plus. Bathroom and bed were also very comfortable.

Bar next to the hotel was a bit loud on Friday evening but nothing you can't sleep through.

Loved the open first floor lounge and breakfast area. The location was perfect.

I really enjoyed my stay at Motel One Manchester-Piccadilly. It was a great base for my week in Manchester and worked well for exploring the city. I was very happy with my choice and would gladly stay here again.

We had a really wonderful stay. The hotel, staff and room exceeded my expectations. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Bed was super comfy. It was a business trip and so the later check out which is offered as standard compared to other hotels was fantastic as it meant I could work from the room until it was time for the planned meeting.

Literally the only thing I could criticise is that there is no fridge in the room. This was not advertised, so not expected but was the only thing I thought could have enhanced our stay.

Everyone I interacted with was friendly, attentive and always willing to help. A special mention to Angel and Fernando, who were absolutely fantastic and went out of their way to make my stay easier and more enjoyable. Their kindness and excellent service really made a difference. Thanks for the whole team for such a positive experience. I would definitely stay here again next time I’m in Manchester!

Stanza molto pulita e letto davvero molto confortevole, con doppi cuscini. Doppio set di asciugamani in bagno, phon di qualità, piccolo angolo con bollitore e tisane, struttura moderna e funzionale. Davvero un piacevole soggiorno.

Room much smaller than I thought. Shower head wasn’t able to be placed stationary so showering was difficult.

Staff were EXCELLENT. Poppy and Jason in particular were STELLAR employees. Food was ok and bed comfortable/clean but notable shortfalls elsewhere.

Basic plastic cups (2) in room for all room/bathroom use. Good for environment but how? Carpet in our room was notably stained in several places; did not walk barefoot as a result. Hugely off-putting in a hotel of this grade. Fan in bathroom was not working so mirrors steamed up completely after showering thus rendering them useless for at least 20mins. Very large milk-like stain on one window from arrival until departure; never cleaned over 3 night stay yet we left curtain open for staff to see? It looked like a glass of milk was spilled against it or was splashed due to bin usage? IMPORTANT: The hinged shelf providing the tea/coffee is too close to the bed. My wife struck her forehead on the shelf corner nearest the bed the first night there when she reached for her phone. It caused a deep 'L' shaped cut just below her hairline at the top of her forehead and bled considerably. Thankfully we carry basic first aid and dealt with it oursleves but she was quite upset and very sore after the whole ordeal. It spoiled our stay but we didnt complain as it was around 1am (what could be done?) and the 2cm cut/scar is generally out of view due to her hairstyle. The shelf is a CERTAIN HAZARD that needs re-designing as I am fairly certain other guests have fallen victim over the years. No spare toilet roll left out after first night stay so ran out the next night but there were facial tissues. Other days we were stocked ok. Air conditioning didnt seem to have any effect on ventilation; regardless of settings! Practically no airflow from vent; blocked filters? Overall we were disappointed after the hotel had looked so well online but the location, staff and food were fine. I initially thought the price was ok but when we were there we realised we could have booked the hotel for less on the arrival day? That plus the above issues put a dampener on the stay so we would be reluctant to stay with Motel 1 again.

Always stayed here and it’s convenient and reasonably priced.

Only issue I had was one of the towels was stained with what was either fecal matter or makeup.

Noise from the tram was annoying from 6am to 12.30pm even on the back of the hotel. If light sleeper would recommend high floor room.

I loved how clean the hotel was, everything was spotless and the bar had some great snacks we were able to order bar snacks after 11 pm after the concert event we were there for, we were so grateful that this was possible. The staff were so accommodating and helpful.

If anything, this property was designed with comfort in mind. I had arrived around 1:30pm, and had to wait for the 3pm check in. I waited in their lounge area and the sofa I was on was so comfortable that I could have slept there. They ended up opening their check in time at 2:30pm as there were a lot of us waiting, and it was a quick, easy ordeal. I got my room and it was fantastic! The bed was actually two single beds pushed up to make a larger bed (which I didn’t realise until I woke up the next morning). Pillows were comfortable. It was a very cosy room. Check out was easy too as you just drop off the key in the bowl and you’re then on your way. I didn’t use the shower nor did I opt in for breakfast (because £14 for breakfast is just too expensive in my eyes), so I can’t say how well they worked. But I did use their hairdryer and kettle, and both were clearly well taken care of and worked perfectly.

There were a few things that could have been better about the property: Tea bags: the ones provided in the room honest to God tasted like Brussel sprouts. TV: kept losing signal so every now and then it would switch off before switching itself back on again (thankfully it didn’t switch off as I watched the end of the Titanic, because I would have been fuming to miss Rose and Jack be reunited). The door: it comes out a bit into the bedroom, and I did start to worry that it wasn’t actually shut. I then have to figure out by opening and shutting it inside and outside the room that it is normal, you can lock the door from the inside, and it automatically unlocks when you open the door from the inside/using the keycard. I still ended up moving the (heavy) chair in front of the door, just to feel safe. Bin: didn’t come with a liner which, yeah you’re probably reading this and thinking, really? Negative because it didn’t come with a liner? But I needed to toss chewed chewing gum, a face mask, a tea bag… and putting them into a bin with no liner/plastic bag? Yeah, I didn’t want the cleaners to hate me but hey ho, what can I do?
