Great breakfast! The host was very helpful with places to eat and visit.

I was super impressed with the decor, outdoor areas, but the showstopper was the breakfast spread. Wow. Also, the staff member we met was so kind, you could tell she really cared about the property and job. Didn’t catch her name but she was working Sunday morning. Also, the other guests were respectful, quiet, and kind.

Wish there were more bathrooms

Very tidy and clean. Staff were super welcoming! The room was very comfortable and well air conditioned. Also super safe with codes to access the rooms and self locking doors. Overall an amazing vibe!

Noise. Host and staff were great but that doesn’t make up for the fact that upstairs neighbors were making tons of noise every night till 2 am. Impossible to get a good nights sleep.

Das B&B liegt ideal für Erkundungen in Vieux-Montréal, dem Hafen und dem Village. Das Zimmer ist sauber und komfortabel und verfügt über eine Küchenzeile und einen Kühlschrank. Das Bad mit Dusche und Toilette ist sehr sauber, Fön ist vorhanden. Die Gemeinschaftsküche mit gemütlicher Frühstücksecke hat auch einen beschirmten Aussenbereich. Das Frühstücksangebot ist phänomenal: neben Kaffee, Tee, Saft und Wasser bieten Alex und sein Team auch selbstgemachte Smoothies und diverse selbstgemachte und in wiederverwendbaren Behältern angebotene Quiches, Sandwiches, Joghurts, Obstsalate und vieles andere, teilweise Neuigkeiten nach Wahl des Teams. Das Team selbst und der Host Alex sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit - ob bei Tipps zur Stadt, Infos bei besonderen Ernährungserfordernissen oder einfach Hintergrundinformationen zu Leben und Gesellschaft in Montréal - Alex und sein Team gaben uns das komplette „Home away from home“ Gefühl und wir kamen mit vielen lokalen Musiktipps im Gepäck wieder nach Hause zurück.

Absolutely lovely breakfast with plenty of vegetarian options and very kind and friendly staff. The outdoor space is beautiful and shared bathrooms and bedroom were very cleanly and comfortable. Convenient self check in/out. Will be recommending this place to friends!

We really enjoyed our stay at this BNB! Alex is such a great host and his place is very welcoming. Sonia made delicious, custom omelettes for us in the morning & his frig is stocked with lots of good options.

Nous n’avons pas vu les propriétaires… ni à l’arrivée gérée uniquement par code d’accès alors qu’il n’était que 20h30 … ni au petit déjeuner… cette expérience a manqué de contact et d’échange. Nous étions 9 ensemble dans la salle du petit déjeuner et personne de la maison 😮

The room was nice? The kitchen and back doors were lovely, the bathroom/shower was really really nice too! Love that we had a mini fridge and little couch, great room and location, and love that it was a B&B so that we could have breakfast in the morning and snacks in the evening! Really worth the money

The walls were very thin so we could hear every beep or every door as people went in and out at all hours, but I brought earplugs so it ended up being fine.

The room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The bed was large and the mattress was perfect. The AC worked well and the shower and bathroom were great. The outdoor space was lovely, although we didn't use the hot tub due to the hot weather. Easy to get to the metro station as well as to local restaurants and bars, but still quiet enough for a good night's sleep. Space to store luggage was appreciated, as well as the B&B's umbrellas on a rainy day! We only met one staff member but he was friendly and informative. The place had a hostel vibe in the communal areas, but felt like a hotel in the room itself (we had a private bathroom).

Breakfast was hit and miss: the options in the fridge were good, but we were unable to access this on one of the days as the fridge was locked. The bagels were a bit stale even when toasted, and the coffee was not my favourite. There are plenty of breakfast/brunch/coffee places in Montreal so this wasn't too much of a hardship, but we would've appreciated the option to not include breakfast. We were in a basement room so did not have a great view, and as it was in front of the main door we had to shut the blinds for privacy. We found it a bit hard to get into the room at first - instructions could have been clearer to wait for the sound of the door unlocking.

The breakfst was fairly standard with cut fruit, yogurt, cereal, and croissants. Nothing particularly special, but it was perfectrly adequate for breakfast. The sampoo and conditioner provided in the shower were very good. The hotel is located in a residential neighborhood, and the building itself is a typical house in the local architectural style. I really enjoyed having the chance to stay in this kind of building and the area. The bed was just the right firmness for me. However, it was inconvenient that there was no desk in the room.

The bathrooms are shared, with the toilet and shower in the same room, and there were not enough. As a result, my departure was delayed 20 min. Various facilities were quite noisy when operating. The refrigerator in the kitchen made a loud creaking or grinding noise whenever it switched on, and the air conditioner in my room was also rather loud. Between around midnight and 1:00 a.m., someone was repeatedly walking around on the second floor. Since there are no guest rooms on the second floor, I have no idea who it was, but the heavy footsteps echoed loudly through the first floor. I could also hear noises that sounded like furniture being moved. It gave me an unexpected opportunity to think about how seriously noise can affect one's mental well-being. Once I realized that the noise seemed to stop around 1:00 a.m., I decided that distracting myself was more helpful than becoming increasingly frustrated. Whenever someone was talking in the hallway, I could hear them clearly from inside my room even with the door closed. I could even hear the automatic locks on other rooms operating. I became concerned that conversations inside my own room might also be clearly audible in the hallway or neighboring rooms. In other words, there is no guarantee that you will be able to spend your time here in peace and quiet, and I was not even sure whether it would be appropriate to watch TV with the sound on. If you are sensitive to noise made by other guests or by the facilities themselves, I would not recommend choosing this accommodation. At the same time, you should not assume that you will be able to make noise freely in your own room either. The property feels more like a shared house than a conventional hotel. Apart from having your own private room, the kitchen, dining area, bathrooms, and the jacuzzi in the garden are all shared. If the other guests staying at the same time are calm and friendly, this can be pleasant. However, not everyone was like that.

I think this is one of the best breakfast options I´ve ever found at a bed and breakfast, and I travel A LOT. The house is so beautiful, and pleasant to live indoors and outdoors. Especially the newly refurbished bathrooms: stunning! and the gardens/terrace are incredibly pleasant, good for working, jacuzzi, breakfast, great stuff. Amazing place.

The linens smell a bit of bleach but ok, I guess it is a sign of cleanliness. I met one of the maids on my last morning there, she could have smiled, she was visibly annoyed when I asked a question.

I loved the refrigerator full of items. There was a mix for everyone and it wasn't just junky unhealthy food, because I am a healthy eater. I saw the staff member there and asked her about parking. It was VERY critical that she did that that because the parking location was kind of hidden and it was so cheap and so close by walking.

The doors were hard to open and close because the rubbed too much. Also, I did not know that there wouldn't be a bathroom in our room. It was lucky though for us that we didn't have to "fight" over it with any of the other guests.

It was something entirely unexpected, a really perfect stay with such an attention to every detail, owner did a great job! Breacfast was gorgeous, every facility spotlessly clean and the atmosphere of the place was so peaseful and relaxing!

Things were in flux when we arrived due to renos and repainting. Our room faced the front road and had no drapes... Long term, make sure to double check if your room has a shared bathroom or ensuite.

Trop de marches d'escaliers pas très fonctionnel pour les PMR Logés en underground : donc pas de luminosité ni de possibilités d'aérer la chambre convenablement.

we visit Montreal and the location of hotel was very close to the sub line, restaurants, parks, and cultural zones are close; the place is a wanderfull house with a pretty yard and murals inside, the kitchen has full equipment and the breakfast was really good, I loved the quiches and salads and fruit variety, also the staff was very kind, without doubt Once I will visit again Montreal I go back to this hotel

The breakfast was rich and the geographical location was excellent. It is very close to the city center. The host was very warm and introduced a lot of useful information about accommodation and travel.

It would be better if there are more power outlets.

L'accueil a été très agréable, j'ai pu déposer ma valise et me reposer dans le salon en attendant que ma chambre soit disponible. Le logement est situé dans une rue calme, à 5 ou 10 mn d'un métro. La chambre était très propre, la literie bien confortable. Le petit déj en libre-service était copieux et varié. J'ai beaucoup aimé la salle à manger et le jardin. Je recommanderai.

Ma chambre était à côté d'une salle de bain commune, et le bruit de la VMC (simplement pendant l'utilisation de la douche) pouvait être gênant.

Le petit déjeuner gagnerait à avoir un peu plus de variété, mais pour le prix qu’on a payé (en basse saison) c’était bien.

It’s super clean and comfortable - the bathroom remodeled and the bedroom with elegant looking and high quality mattress. The kitchen is full of good stuff recharging your energy ready for every time you fell thirsty or hungry. The host Alex was so helpful to help the street parking near the house. It’s the place you can relax and feel like home.

The location is in walkable range - 2 km to Chinatown and 2.4km to Old Montreal.

Excellent breakfast choices. Coffee or drinks at all times. Fresh fruit.

The loudness of the door lock..

Room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Great location, and the owner/staff are wonderfully friendly and welcoming! I would stay here again.

The room and location were great. A heads up for lone travelers, every bedroom door had a keypad lock that allows for safety and privacy. The staff were very kind and considerate and answered any questions or concerns that I had. I even met B&B owners and they made wonderful recommendations for eateries and cafes in the area.

The breakfast offered consisted of store bought pastries and cereal. That's not my personal preference and I thought there would be a warm or prepared meal. That being said, I wouldn't let that deter your stay. Everything else was pretty nice.

Nous avions une chambre sous la salle à manger donc un peu bruyante le matin avec les convives qui déjeunaient au dessus mais c’est aussi le charme du parquet

It had a local and homely feel. The location was perfect because it was close to Rue Sait-Catherine but was far enough away from the late night noise that it was peaceful

Wish I stayed longer to enjoy the hot tub! It would have been nice to have our own bathroom, but the shared bathroom was more convenient than I expected.

Ma chambre était chaleureuse et charmante. Elle était également très bien équipé. L'installation et la préparation des tables pour le déjeuner était sublime et invitante. Le propriétaire était des plus chaleureux et m'a préparé un déjeuné digne du film de Narnia! Il prend maintenant sa retraite. Allez-y avant qu'il soit parti :).

Etant au sous sol, la fenêtre donne sur l'extérieur et des escaliers en acier. Les rideaux en nylon blanc ne sont pas opacifiants. Résultat, le soir, si on allume la lumière, les passants peuvent mater. Eviter les chambres du bas.

Bien situé, ce logement ne manque pas de charme. Le déjeuner était excellent et copieux.

Contact très limité avec les hôtes. Salle de bain commune en face de la cuisine. A certains moments, bruit et vibrations (venant de ?) nous ayant empêchés de dormir. Animaux domestiques non acceptés mais les propriétaires ont un chien (certes, très gentil). Ce serait bien que cela soit indiqué car tout le monde n'aime pas les chiens, voire en ont peur.

the owners and staff were super friendly, knowledgable and welcoming- they cooked us a delicious breakfast. the room was warm and cozy. bathroom and shower very nice. the location was pretty and in a nice neighborhood. the b&b is a 10-15 min walk from the 2 train stations which was convenient, and the trains were so easy to use as foreigners. the place was also a 20 min walk to the old city which was also convenient. the garden and outdoor areas are particularly beautiful. the inside of the b&b was also done up very nicely. would stay again in a heartbeat!

Yener is a great host we felt we are meeting an old friend. From the moment we got in we were greeted with hospitality and kindness thank you Yener. And Orlamdo made really awesome delicious breakfast. Room was clean and location was close to public transport. Overall we had a great stay

On a adoré notre week-end à la Maison des Jardins. Logement très bien situé, dans un superbe quartier fleuri et calme, non loin de restaurants et autres commodités. Petit déjeuner parfait ! Chambre confortable et salle de douche commune mais spacieuse et très propre. Tout à disposition pour se faire un café/thé en journée ou en soirée. Rien à redire !

Le charme à la canadienne Confortable, douillet ,chaleureux . Chambre en sous étage ou sous sol (très fréquent au Québec) mais cela n'enlève pas de l'attrait de la chambre Coin calme Petit déjeuner extra Ce fut un plaisir de commencer ma visite à Montréal par ce petit havre de tranquillité.

Petit déjeuner parfait, Yener et son collègue (désolé nous avons oublié son prénom) étaient au Petit soin pour nous, très gentil et très serviable. Ils prennent leur temps pour renseigner, servir etc...

La difficulté pour se garer mais il y a un parking payant plus loin, heureusement nous avons eu de la chance cette fois-ci.

Greeted by two frienly faces. Human and a curly sweetheart witl a wagging tail. A dog changesthe atmosphere in every place. So fhat you feel welcome and make friends in an instance. Everything was great. The nice beds were so welcome after along travel.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were varied, tasty, and well presented. The location was convenient to attractions and the metro. Bathroom was well-appointed. We stayed for a couple of days on arrival in Montreal. We liked the B&B so much that we decided to stay again at Maison des Jardins on our return to Montreal the following week.

Navigating the streets in the area by car was difficult, especially given the roadworks that were underway. However, this was not the fault of the B&B.

La chambre est assez exiguë Le fait que le WC soit dans la salle de bain partagée (ça peut être gênant si on a un besoin urgent et que quelqu'un prend sa douche) et que cette salle de bain donne sur la salle à manger où se prennent les petits déjeuners.
