Reviewed Jul 21, 2026Great 2 bedroom room. Amazing onsens. The town is lovely and walkable. The hotel is in the scenic area. They serve small breakfast. The lounge zones are comfortable and atmospheric. We wish we came for longer than 1 night!

- WiFi体验非常不好。酒店提供两个WiFi名称共用同一个密码，但只有一个能连接，且连接后很快断网。前台人员提供了私人账号密码，但房间内信号极弱（仅1格左右），也无法使用。入住两晚，全程只能使用自己购买的流量。 - 房间有一些令人不愉快的气味。

テレビ台代わりのデスクを使うと、他の人がテレビを見ることができなかったこと。

Reviewed Feb 23, 2026性價比合理，一間老牌的溫泉飯店，優點為大浴池是預約制可以包場的，有室內池也有室外池，但如果早上還想泡湯只剩下室內池可用，且溫泉水放涼了，要在重新加水，多等十來分鐘水溫才會上來，不過有免費早餐（麵包）和咖啡，可以先墊墊胃再去街上逛，旅館附近為住宅區，周圍十分安靜，但相對離車站要走十幾分鐘，沿路可以欣賞鄉間美景。

Reviewed Feb 13, 2026Que dire, j’ai tellement aimé ce séjour... La maison est chaleureuse, confortable, bien placée, pour moi d’un très bon rapport qualité prix. La chambre était grande et bien équipée. Le propriétaire était très cordial, les bains super agréables, la cuisine et salon très pratiques. Le quartier est tranquille, entouré de champs, j’adore Yufuin et je reviendrai 😌
Juste les autres clients ne comprennent parfois pas les règles : bruit le soir, vidage des onsens 😅...

Reviewed Jan 30, 2026Quiet location within 5 minutes' drive by car to train station and downtown area. Communal area includes lounge and kitchen. The place is decorated in 1960 Showa era. It was chill to sit down, relax and take a lot of photos. There are 3 rooms on ground floor and 5 rooms on 1/F. The rooms are huge. Staff can speak a bit English and they are very friendly. Make sure you tell them in advance as the place is unmanned between 9:00pm to 9:00am. There is no in-house restaurant. The kitchen has a microwave machine and an oven. Make sure you clean up your mess after you finish.
Nothing to complain even to a fuzzy person. Free Wi-Fi is sometimes slow.

Reviewed Nov 24, 2025Staff and location were great. Staff went out of their way to support my group with seemingly endless room rearranging, filing a police report when we had damage to our rental car, and helped move our luggage. The bikes were great too.
Besides the wonderful staff, this accommodation was wildly disappointing. We had no idea how their ratings were so high. The space is extremely run down, dirty, moldy, smells awful, and offers very little- not even bottled water. We booked three rooms for four nights and one room was so incredibly moldy and musty that we couldn’t stay and had to bunk up. They used incense to “clean the air” instead of replacing the very old carpets and addressing the obvious mold and mildew. They would not allow us to cancel or get a refund, but had no where to put us. Reviews show others have made the same complaints yet they keep booking these specific moldy/odorous rooms. We had to change rooms over and over again based on what was available- it was a hassle for all of us, packing up daily to move to whatever room was available instead of refunding us and allowing us to find a clean and suitable accommodation. The WiFi wasn’t working on our first day. The AC units were hard to operate so rooms were either very hot or very cold. Lights were tricky to control. The bidets were out of order, the toilets ran all night long. The shared kitchen had dirty communal sponges and offered no basics like ice. The coffee options left much to be desired- undrinkable. We were also instructed to pay an additional 400 yen per person upon arrival for the onsen- whether we used them or not. The hours of the onsen were frustratingly limited. This extra cost was not disclosed and felt misleading. We definitely would not recommend using this “hostel” at best.

Reviewed Nov 18, 2025We had a good size room with space to sit and eat at a table and to spread our cases out. We were very close to the Onsen area and we particularly enjoyed the outdoor bath which was lovely and relaxing to use. We made good use of the free coffee machine in the kitchen area and we enjoyed looking over the large collection of toys and memorabilia in the display cabinets. Yufuin Tabinokura is a short walk to Lake Kinrin and not too far from the railway station.
The toilet in the bathroom was due to be fixed and made a bit of noise with running water. As it was en-suite with a gap on the bottom of the bathroom door we were conscious of it.

La chasse d'eau des toilettes dans la salle de bain de ma chambre coulait sans cesse, faisant du bruit en continu. Après l'avoir signalé, rien n'a été fait. J'espère pour les prochains clients que cela sera réparé.

Reviewed Sep 16, 2025喜歡內部的裝修格調，有點美式懷舊風格，喜歡廚房及煙通坐位擺設，露天風呂亦很讚，一個人在泡湯很享受，不過温泉水水温若果在冬天可能不夠熱，九月初還可以。有免費自行車借用，踏單車去Aeon 買便當晩餐等於也只需5分鐘，而且兩邊稻田超美，很舒服寧靜，很愜意！
室內廁所浴室很小，設備也很舊，通風系統很弱，免治馬桶壞掉沒有任何電動功能，連廁板蓋也飛脱出來，也沒有去修理。房間內有潮濕味。

小物のめくれなどが目立ち、 せっかく掃除していても陰気な感じがしてしまっていたので、もう少し新しいものや補修されているものを置いてあれば使う気になれたと思う。 シャワーのお湯の調整がしにくいし、急に冷たい水に変わったりして入りにくかった。

Reviewed Aug 11, 2025Das Hotel verfügt über drei Onsen (zwei innen, einer außen). Auch diese sind in die Jahre gekommen. Der Outdoor-Onsen ist zwar schön gelegen, jedoch ist der Zustand insgesamt renovierungsbedürftig.
Das Hotel ist insgesamt sehr alt und abgewohnt. Während unseres Aufenthalts waren kaum Gäste da, und nur eine Mitarbeiterin war anwesend, was die Atmosphäre sehr leer wirken ließ. Für Allergiker ist das Hotel nicht geeignet – sowohl meine Tochter als auch ich hatten starke Beschwerden aufgrund unserer Hausstauballergie. Wir mussten den Aufenthalt vorzeitig abbrechen, leider gab es keinerlei Kulanz oder Erstattung.

However, the value is great, the rooms surprisingly spacious and the onsen (with outdoors and indoors options) small but very enjoyable.

Reviewed Jun 24, 2025The receptionist was very friendly and polite. The room was spacious, and the location was great. I especially liked the terrace on the second floor and the common area on the first floor.I originally planned to stay in Yufuin for just one day, but I loved it so much that I ended up spending all three days of my Kyushu trip here, canceling my plans to visit Kumamoto and Nagasaki. I hope I’ll have the chance to come back again.
