Colonial Bay Motel and Cottages

L emplacement, l accueil très sympathique, renseignements donnés sur le parc et randonnée à faire. Pas besoin d avoir le permis de circulation pour le logement. Situé à 10 mn en voiture des centres commerciaux pour l alimentation, station service. Restaurant de bonne qualité en traversant la rue. Donne directement sur le lac, avec utilisation gratuite des paddle, kayak et pédalos. Je recommande vivement !

Beautiful location and view of the lake. The room was spacious and comfortable. Nicolle was very friendly and helpful.

Nicole und Bruce sind tolle Gastgeber. Der Platz ist ein Geschenk, das Motel fast wie ein eigenes Cottage und Grill steht bereit. Baden, Paddeln, Kanu stehen auch bereit, genügend Liegestühle und entspannte Atmosphäre ist garantiert. Wir haben sogar verlängert, weil es so schön war. Nach dem sehenswerten kleinen Huntsville 10 Minuten mit reichlich Restos und kleinen Boutiquen und Ansichten.

Der Lärm der Fernverkehrs-Strasse 60 im Hintergrund. Den muss man ausblenden. Sind die Fenster zu, ist der Lärm allerdings auch weg.

Everything was perfect.

Love the whole atmosphere and all the available boats and amenities that give you the true cottage experience. Room was very clean and very comfortable beds. Slept very solid. We were here last year as well and will hopefully return again next year.

Die Lage am See hervorragend und sehr idyllisch. Ruhige Lage. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Die Anlage hat Holzhäuschen und eine Motel ähnliche Unterkunft mit mehreren Zimmern. Die Ausstattung ist gut bis ausreichend. Man kann sich wirklich wohlfühlen. Als Übernachtungsmöglichkeit für Wanderurlaub oder Bikertour gut geeignet!

Keinerlei direkte Einkaufsmöglichkeiten z.B. um Frühstücksutensilien einzukaufen. Einige Kilometer von der Zivilisation entfernt. Einige Dinge unserer Hütte war außen wie innen reparaturbedürftig. Allerdings war unser Besuch auch zum Ende der Reisezeit (Canadian "Indian Summer")!

Location, location, location...

You just have to be very careful reviewing the facilities included in your room... Looking at the photos, I thought the room would have a stove and refrigerator, but it only had a mini (but amazingly well working) fridge and a microwave... It was my mistake...

Die Freundlichkeit, Sauberkeit,die Lage und die Natur drum herum. Sehr zentral gelegen alles sehr gut erreichbar. Diese Anlage lädt ein zum ausruhen und Entspannen. Wir können diese Unterkunft unbedingt weiterempfehlen.

Relaxing atmosphere, booked the 2 bedroom cabin, convenience of having a kitchen. Kayaks, canoes and paddle boat available. Beautiful lake view, water is shallow up to almost the need of the dock, good for swimming. Near Algonquin Park West gate and Huntsville

Motel room had everything we needed for our two night stay. Lovely lake for swimming and close to Algonquin Park for exploring. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful

Location is great and access to water is great.

Cottage smelled very musty, mouldy, plastic deck chairs broke while sitting in them from being outside too long and brittle. Canoe oar gave me splinters. In general up-keep is needed to make it a wonderful place.

We loved our stay at Colonial Bay Cottages in Huntsville! The cottages sit right on the lake, so morning coffees came with gorgeous waterfront views. Owners Bruce and Nicole are the warmest hosts—always ready for a friendly chat and quick to answer any questions. We only wish we’d booked a full week, but we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

We loved the nice quiet spot with a great cottage feel that was exactly what we were looking for. It was great for swimming and we loved all of the water activities. It's close to Huntsville for all your needs for a visit through the local shops. But far enough to enjoy the cottage vibe and the lake was great.

The location was superb to relax

Access to the motel rooms is inconvenient to bring luggage and food supplies on the concrete stairs. I don't have issues carrying stuff up, but some people with physical limitations might

The choice of channels for the TV. I don't get out alot with my bad legs and watch tv. My only other complaint is the bathroom was too small for me..

Great stay. Nicolle was very nice, Tucker (their dog) was so gentle and behaved. They offered paddle boats, kayaks and a canoe for us so we went out in the morning before we left. Check out was 10am, but they didn’t rush us out. I will probably come back again this summer!

It was a wonderful 2 nights stay. Rooms were clean and nice. Nicolle was an awesome host. She was very friendly and accommodative. She suggested some good places for watching fall colors. Lake view from the room was amazing. We could see reflections of colorful trees in the gorgeous lake alongside as it was a sunny day.

No courtesy bottle of water.. No sign indicating where the office is. There were coffee bags but no tea bags. The air conditioner/heater fan is too noisy. Can't turn off the fan.

Perfect location to explore Algonquin Park and the Muskoka region. Clean and comfortable room, just what we needed after a day of hiking. Very friendly staff with a great recommendation for a late night dinner in Huntsville.

Very nice property with many lakeside amenities. Canoes, kayaks & paddle board you can take out. We took advantage of the fire ring in the evenings. Comfy bed. Very clean room with fridge and coffee maker. Shower water temp did vary and is my only complaint. Other than that had a nice relaxing stay!

The cottage was clean and homey. Loved staying there. The area was so quiet and relaxing. The staff was always available for any questions and were great to talk y. Definitely be back again

The location is absolutely amazing, and the amenities were fantastic! I especially enjoyed using the kayaks and canoes, and it was so relaxing to unwind on the loungers by the lakefront.

A fellow patron was smoking outside of the motel doors so some smoke got into my room.

Very cute little cottage; a nice spot to stay between Huntsville and Algonquin, and just what we needed for a cold and rainy night.

A random find turned into the perfect place. We arrived at sunset and ate our takeout dinner by the lakeside. Rooms were spotless. Beds comfy. People so friendly. We will be back!

Had a nice 3 night fall stay. Not far from Huntsville for shops and restaurants and used as base to drive to Algonquin Park for rail trail biking. Thanks Bruce and Nicole!

It was very clean and a very comfortable stay. No smell. They have a canoe and kayaks in the property for free use. They have gas bbqs, but we brought our own charcoal bbq. We sat near the lake while we watch the sunset. We also enjoyed the bonfire so much. It was a plus. I’d book this property again in the future.

Great place to relax. We don't have young kids, but if you do, it is a great set up for them with a great beach.

A beautiful lakefront property with a very comfortable, updated room. Sandy beach, dock, kayaks, paddle boats and lots of chairs to enjoy the view. Very clean. Excellent for our brief stay with lots of shopping and eating minutes away.

The property is very clean, and has all the amenities as mentioned in the booking, the staff were very friendly and gave us lots of local sightseeing ideas which were worth it.

Everything was perfect.

We went for four days and were very happy with our stay. The room was quite nice and it was a comfy bed. The water front is so beautiful and peaceful. The staff were friendly and the shower was hot and strong. I would absolutely stay again.
