For us it was a good location especially next to Tescos Seemed nice and spacious and had everything we needed!!!
The unfortunate musty smell on arrival
I always enjoy staying here.
Nothing comes to mind
Friendly safe and clean.
The showers were superb
Convenience to town and beach. Self-catering ... kitchen very well set out.
It was very noisy, with doors banging until 11/12 at night. Floorboards creacking above my room and general noise until late 10/11pm
Breakfast was good. Well presented. We didn't have the cooked breakfast, and was happy with cereal and toast.
Everything
Nothing
Really good location, near the beach and shops. The beds were very comfy. We had a room for three with its own sink.
For a youth hostel, there was nothing I didn’t like. Obviously your own bathroom would be good but you don’t get that with a youth hostel.
Breakfast was good. Parking was good. Good position for exploring Sheringham,
Rooms were hot even with windows open. No hooks in toilet.
Useful place to stop.
Rooms were too hot and even with windows open.
Breakfast very comprehensive, and well cooked. Rooms exceeded expectation, were spacious and accommodating.
The building itself needs modernising.
Love this place, clean tidy lovely stuffI’m
I love this place clean tire. I love the
The location is perfect for those wishing to enjoy the beach, railway excursions or wildlife .
We thought that there were so many plus points, it is unfair to be critical. Especially when you consider the value for money the YHA Sheringham offers visitors.
Location Breakfasts Friendly staff Room
Quite old sofas in lounge, not very comfortable; Kitchen did not work between 10-30am and ~12pm.
Good rooms, good prices
Location great Staff brillian Breakfast excellent
Being a loan traveller, divorced, would have liked a small bar where I could have chatted to loje travellers.Wish J could face had coffee making facility in my room plus a small TV All my own fault as I have never travelled as single except Ilam Derbyshire. I did expect more for a single traveller; I paid £90 a night .Again my fault for not finding out was was available when using a private room. Again l must emphasise that staff were so friendly and helpful, location perfect and breakfasts amazing. Thanks
Great location, comfortable bed, decent value
Room got very hot at night (but it was a very hot evening)
Great location, lovely staff, excellent for a family stay, very good facilities for a self-catering stay
Sometimes the noise from doors being opened and closed late at night by other guests can be scouring but this is a minor inconvenience.
Location, location, location, close to beach, coastal path, train station and Tesco
Needs a little tlc, huge property and space
A friendly, fun place to be. Helpful staff. Good ammenities.
The only point was well located
Reception isn't 24 hours, arrived at 4 pm, with heavy baggage, raining, have to wait outside because no Reception, have a emergency phone, but they didn't help nothing, the check-in is 5pm, you pay for 24 hours but need leave at 10am, waste of money, won't come back.
Clean rooms and utilities, breakfast was really nice
Ideal location,clean and tidy .
Our room for 4 was very small ,when there were bigger available ,but ok.
Lovely hostel in a great location. Facilities clean and tidy with friendly staff who are very responsive and helpful.
Welcoming staff. Well equipped kitchen. Hot shower
Decoration in our bedroom was a bit old. There was a hole in the plaster. Another cube to sit on would have been useful. The room was very hot.
The location
Internet only in public places, not in rooms
very very loud
Tout
Rien
Bedroom was very small. But, there are nice lounges to use so it wasn't a problem.
Location is great, good value for money especially if there's two or more people.
We visited the hostel with our grandchildren and it felt very safe.
The building is in need of some minor decoration
Really pleasant and enthusiastic staff, great breakfast and consistent standard of room.
bed felt a little short, and a bit noisy (other guests not YHA's fault!)
Very well situated. Clean and family friendly. I felt very safe about being a lone, female traveller.
Showers were a little tired- but clean.
Enjoyable stay.
Peace and quiet.
Great location and friendly staff.
Breakfast options need to be clearer. It states that children can eat breakfast for a £1 each but it turns out ONLY if adults are paying for a full cooked breakfast.
My first time in a Y.H.A and was amazed with the room and facilities, had a buffet breakfast at an extra cost and the location was great. The guy staff member who checked us in and dealt with us during our stay was friendly & helpful. If back in the area, I would be very happy to stay here.
Nothing not to like.
Excellent location, short walk into town. Lovely warm welcome from staff at the reception and at breakfast. Free parking on site is such a welcome bonus too.
The sound proofing of the rooms (bedrooms and social areas) could really benefit from a bit of creative input, especially as the rooms are big with tall ceilings (maybe this is just in the older building where we were?) - Some curtains/ baffles/ office dividers/acoustic boarding between beds, dining tables or sofas in the large lounge to stop noise bouncing everywhere so much would help - The doors aren't soft close and people let them slam. There was a lot of noise coming from the sound of furniture moving on the floor above the female dorm in the morning too. Maybe flooring that helps minimise this would help? It's not a huge quibble just something that takes the edge off it being as relaxing as it could be.
I like the fact I could afford to take my kids to the seaside for a couple of days. The room was no frills but was clean and comfortable . The kitchen seemed well equipped, although not knowing what to expect I found it odd that there weren't "rules" (for the fridge/freezer etc)
We had no issues but I could hear the shower from our room (our room backed onto the shower). I felt quite self conscious over what others could hear
Calm and quiet
Toilet That is outsude
Location is perfect, facilities offered within the hostel are perfect and staff are very accommodating. Room is basic but clean, a great base and excellent value for money.
Out of hostels control but noise from guests and slamming of doors, people should be more considerate to others
Clean, comfortable well organised
All good!
Great reception when we arrived 😀
Great location and good value
Friendly staff and a good welcome
Room was hot
room very clean, location is perfect as it is in close proximity to the train station, 10 min away from the beach

fine
Staff were fantastic, the man who was on most of my stay was the best member of staff I’ve encountered anywhere in a long time, friendly, professional and an all round joy!
Nothing standard yha and very clean.
Staff are really lovely and there is parking. 😊
My room only had one socket but it’s only a minor thing 😊
Great location, quiet, comfortable mattresses.
Kitchen is a bit sad, but well furnished and set with needed accessories
I liked that there were sufficient showers and toilets.
It would have been nice if reception was open a little bit longer.
Very friendly, helpful staff location close to where we needed to be
Only one minor issue hair in the shower, a lot of hair left by a customer with no qualms about cleaning up after themselves
Location and convenience
Bike storage - it was in poor condition and was not as secure as it could be.
Friendly staff and visitors
Toast machine 8 pass thrus for a piece of toast, being put in the attic 3 flights of stairs no fans for cooling available
The location and how near the beach was.
Nothing
The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The location is great, a quick walk from the train station and close to the High Street and the beach, yet lovely and quiet.
My daughter and I had a family room. The sink was blocked. The breakfast was expensive fog what it was. The beans were cold and the vegan sausages were the worst vegan food item I have ever eaten. The shower has a motion detector which makes the light switch off after a few minutes, plunging you into complete darkness.. I had to open and close the shower screen to make the light switch back on. I do not take long showers but had to perform the open/close manoeuvre several times during my shower.
Excellent facilities for self catering, best to avoid peak times as kitchen area was occasionally a little crowded
No problems
The shared bedroom was clean and had lockers and electrical lights and plugs for each bunk bed. There was also a basin for washing hands before meals. A shower was available for a more thorough wash if desired. The cooked breakfast was excellent and the refectory was large and clean (mainly for school parties). There was also a lounge with tv to relax in at the end of day. Sheringham YHA enabled me to recce' the Blakeney circular walk (7 1/2 miles, 12km) and go on the seal trip with Bishop's boats at the start of day. I am not new to the YHA and used to hostel in my 20's and 30's. I remember staying at Kemsing, Slimbridge, Goudhurst, Norleywood, Tanners Hatch and Holmesbury St Mary. Consequently I ramble a lot with HF holidays and the Ramblers Association later in life.
I tried for a private room, but none were available. However, I slept like a log in the shared dormitory.
The location, and the friendly staff who go out of their way to help thank you
No fault of the hostel but inconsiderate guests letting the doors slam in the middle of the night. (Its very loud as fire exit doors) And being very loud early hours of the morning
Good location, free car park, quiet and clean room. Also great to have shared kitchen and have an ability to make some tea and cook simple meal
Staff were amazing. Kind and helpful. Especially the lovely guy behind the front desk.
Our room was very stuffy. I believe it was because there were multiple pipes running around the walls. Can't be helped but we had to sleep with our door propped open.
Great location and value for money. It was good for us and I will definitely be staying again in two weeks time.
Building is old with heavy fire doors in bedrooms which are a bit noisy.
Parking is a welcome addition.
Shower is poor design. Curtain makes certain there is no dry floor anywhere.
Vibe,location,staff,everything
Clean basic comfy
Nothing
Great location near the town center and coastal bus service
No atmosphere, and tired facilities
The room was lovely really enjoyed the breakfast
Tik permiegoti super
Labai viskas girdisi, net durų uždarymas kituose kambariuose, Na ir puodelio trukumas
Very friendly staff, good value for money, were accommodating when we were delayed arriving due to train issues
A little noisy
Where else can you get an adequate, clean room for £30?
A chair in the room would be nice
Really friendly snd helpful staff. Value for money.
Mattresses were plastic covered, not good for middle aged women 😬
Excellent location and friendly guests and staff!
Shared room and bathroom down the hallway
Relativ zentrale und ruhige Lage , Nähe Supermarkt
Trittschall vom Raum über mir etwas nervig
Good location , and facilities, comfy bed
Bit tired looking , room was tiny , enjoyed the games room
Staff
It felt very unsafe and neglected
Breakfast lovely, The rooms reflected price paid. It was what I expected for accommodation on a budget. The bedsheets were clean overall the bedroom was clean. good showers as well
Better would deserve the prices of a hotel stay, so it is value for what is on offer.
Great location and facilities
Shared dorm room in this location should be 4 people not 6
Handy location, friendly staff, good breakfast.
Comfy, good value for money, friendly staff
Bedroom wall could do with a paint. Need soap in the toilets.
Polite staff , free parking , clean room and shared bathroom , could barrow an iron for my dress and a Heather as room was so cold. If you are not in a hurry and would like to enjoy from a beach city, it is very good option.
The road to get there is not easy and you have to go through the side roads with speed limits. I was still on the road after sunset and the road was very scary. A big deer and a rabbit came in front of my car and I was very lucky that I didn't hit them. The next day, because I was in a hurry to go to Tring, I didn't get to see the city at all. I only went to the beach, which was very stormy. At four in the morning, a lady who was my roommate made a lot of noise and woke me up. When I hissed at her and said, "Be quiet, it's four in the morning," she was very rude and selfish, and she shook her bags to make more noise. The inconsiderate behavior of this rude lady made me unable to rest comfortably. Another girl who was in the room was asleep until ten o'clock and I couldn't get ready easily and had to do my hair and make up in the semi-dark room. If we share a room with others, we need to learn how to behave and respect others.
Amazing value Thankyou to the management for keeping this so affordable & running it so well
