I liked the room and vicinity within Chicago.

Finding the hotel was a nightmare with tons of traffic. It took me over an hour going in circles to be able to park to check in due to traffic. I had to pay parking $71/day. Service pets accepted but had to walk 3 blocks for them to potty. No complimentary anything.

Poor, cheap. Paid for breakfast and waffle was charged $14. This not the quality of 20!years of using Hiltons all over the world.

Look at your breakfast menu a sin 1 piece of toast and 1 bacon. I paid for breakfast as an addition to my 2 night stay. Not complimentary as stayed on coupon.

One of the receptionist is tough and aggressive

Nice city hotel in the downtime of Chicago, close to all sightseeing points, Big Bus stop and cruise boat station. We were warmly welcomed by the receptionists and checked in early - that was a lovely experience! The room is small but has all amenities and facilities to have a rest after the city walk or a busy day.

Cleaning could be improved as we noted a lot of dust on the floor around the bed. We didnt like the breakfast - not really good and there are much better options outside the hotel.

Nothing in particular….some suggeestions: 1) better signage on LL to direct you to Fitness Ctr; 2) room refrigerators that ACTUALLY keep thinks cold,not cool;3) Hair dryers that were not made in 1990’s

We stayed at this hotel for two nights this week. While the location is great, the cleanliness and customer service were extremely disappointing. We discovered what appeared to be blood stains on the linens and bedding in our room. We also found crumbs and debris on the floor, which suggested the room had not been properly cleaned before our arrival. We only noticed the stains the following morning because they were at the foot of the bed and in the area where pillows are normally placed, making them difficult to see when we first entered the room. When we reported the issue, it took two requests before the stained bedding was actually changed. The first time, the stains were left on the bed despite our concern. What was most disappointing was the lack of accountability afterward. Instead of receiving an apology or any effort to address the sanitation concern, we were met with accusations that we caused the stains. Laura at the front desk was unprofessional and raised her voice at me, and Richard, the manager who said he would call back, never followed up. A possible blood stain on hotel bedding is a serious cleanliness issue. Unfortunately, the poor response and lack of customer care made this experience even worse.

The location is perfect. The room wasn’t noisy except the air conditioning. Small but ok bathroom with good shower and comfortable bed. Check in and check out was fast and easy. We would come back since the price was appropriate.

A pleasant room stay at a hotel in an awesome location on Wacker Drive, if you're interested in easily checking out highlights of downtown Chicago. Front desk staff were friendly, room accommodations were fine (A/C, turning the room, etc.). I'd be glad to return.

We booked this hotel 3-4 months and spoke to a national representative to make accommodations for a handicapped room that joins with another room to accommodate my 90 year old mother-in-law. When we arrived, the front desk person they don’t guarantee either specifications, . This should be against ADA laws. If this was the case, the hotel should have these things noted should be in the national database. This is absolutely unacceptable. If you have special jeeds do not book hete, .

Perfect location, wonderful facilities. On the expensive side for us, but probably could have waited for a lower rate by booking closer to the date. Overall, the hotel is a great location for doing anything in downtown Chicago and we'd definitely would stay there again.

Rooms were pricey, and I saw that rates had come down if I had waited longer, but we needed to ensure we had rooms for a special event in Chicago, and rates were competitive with other hotels at the time we booked.

Excellent location, right on the river with a short walk to the Bean, a 7-11, and Chicago-style pizza restaurants. Our room was clean and comfortable and there was no noise from other guests. The staff were friendly and accommodating and always available. We had a great stay and would definitely choose this location again.

Perfect location, amazing views and excellent restaurant all around. Very walkable and a few minutes of a walk away from the blue line which takes you straight to OHare airport. We had a river view room and I enjoyed every second of the trip.

I like the way you can check in early. I love that thanks to the lady who work in the morning she was very kind and professional she let me get in my room 12 pm instead of 4pm , I will definitely be back

The location was fantastic; the room was big enough for 2 people with a roomy bathroom. Our room was very clean as well. Breakfast was just OK, rather underwhelming given the price of the hotel. Bar and food was very good and the service was great.

What a fantastic, hidden gem of a hotel just off and around the corner from Wacker Drive. Loved it and added to one of our Chicago favorites. Location super convenient. Staff here are so personable and friendly. Hampton Inn right next door both buildings tall and narrow with separate entrances. The HGI lobby area is small with a fitness center located on the lower level. Clean updated room, excellent location, and honestly, another hidden gem-within-a-hidden-gem is the lobby restaurant and bar. Loved it! We had two breakfasts and one dinner while staying there. Not normally something we would do while in Chicago but this worked our well for convenience, food quality, atmosphere and convenience. Highly recommend.

Not much choices at the resaurant for dinner and was priced a bit high. Beds were not as comfortable i hilton hotels usually are and the bed squeaked and clunked when i would turn over.

The location is quite good. The rooms was clean and veru well maintained by housekeeping everyday. It felt more than just a "basic hotel".

At times the elevators (only 2) get very busy, especially with staff going from one floor to another. They should have service elevators for that.

HGI Riverwalk is a bit of a misnomer. It’s on a side street off Michigan and Wacker Avenue. A nice location but a block away from the Riverwalk. It’s an older building but the rooms were well-maintained and reasonably spacious for a downtown hotel. There wasn’t a view of anything. There’s a restaurant in the hotel but meals aren’t included and there are better options. This was a good choice for an inexpensive room and comfortable stay for a night near business meetings.

El hotel es muy cómodo, está cerca de todo lo que queríamos hacer y como es una ciudad caminable, no tuvimos inconveniente en movilizarnos ni de ningún tipo. Además sentimos que era muy seguro.

El restaurant estaba en reparación, por lo que no pudimos usarlo, para que lo consideren si es algo primordial para los viajeros.

Solid Hotel for a quick business trip. Rooms are dated but super clean with good amounts of amenities like towels , soap, lotions etc Front desk was very nice and helpful for me the valet ( valet desk was actually located next door at the Hampton Inn) Location of this hotel was great to get around main points in Chicago such as good restaurants , millennium park, river walk etc I even had a small view of the river and the maritime towers from my room Will definitely stay here again Oh one note is restaurant is under construction so was not able to try the breakfast , but plenty options in the city to grab grub - Starbucks was also one block away - which was great cause it was cold in on Feb 26th :)

Stayed here for a conference at a nearby hotel. Pretty convenient location, clean and comfortable. The hotel restaurant was closed for renovations which was rough the day we arrived because we did not feel like going out. However, there are hundreds of excellent places to eat in the city! They ran out of regular coffee in the lobby one morning... So I had to settle for decaf. But I would probably stay again.

Ice machine is only on the 10th floor and you need your room key to access it. Resulting in two trips to get ice.

Das Frühstück war einfach nur schlecht. Ich habe es nur einmal in Anspruch genommen. Es war nicht pünktlich fertig und Qualitativ schlecht. Das Personal war unfreundlich, versteht nichts und auch nicht hilfsbereit. Kaffee war nur manchmal verfügbar.

The view from the room was amazing. Check in was easy and the staff was friendly.

The restaurant for breakfast was terrible. There was a long wait to get our order. The coffee was self serve but they were out of creamer. When I asked for some creamer the person behind the bar seemed bothered by me asking. She finally asked the only waitress to get it. Then the waitress gave us someone else’s order after it took along time to get to us. The food was terrible after all that. It was also overpriced.

I loved the location of the property! Parking is located right across the street from hotel! Everything was so close to the hotel!

There is no extractor fan in the bathroom so it gets hot in there after a shower! The hallways have no ac so it’s a little bit toasty but our room has great ac so that’s all that mattered!!

I was charged the cost of the stay to my personal credit card instead of booking.com which I had already paid the entirety of the accommodation cost. This has affected the rest of my holiday as the incorrect charge even though has been cancelled is still on my credit card and is affecting my ability to put holds on other accommodations and hire cards
