Courtyard by Marriott Gatlinburg Downtown

The bed was comfortable and the shower was a good size, but that’s it!!

For the first time ever coming to Gatlinburg and staying at a hotel ( and we have stayed at a few really nice ones) this is the first time we have ever had to pay for parking and $15 a night is extremely high!! Also the king size bed isn’t a true king size bed!!We bring our own sheets because of my service dog and the king size sheets that fit my bed were too big for this bed!!

There was no breakfast included. You asked if we paid extra, and yes, we paid $15 a night for parking.

The room was clean and well distributed, but I forgot something in the room, and when I called after I had left, I was told it was not there, I know it had to be, because it was not with me and I didn't take it out of the room while I was there.

The room was clean. The cafe is big a benefit for early morning travelers.

We arrived at 11am, well before check in time. We were greeted by a lovely women who was very helpful. We were given a parking pass and told the room would be ready after 1pm. We returned at 3:40pm after walking around town. There was a different woman at the desk and I would describe her as nasty. We seemed to be bothering her when we tried to get our room. She sneered at us that the room would not be ready until "check in" time, which was 20 minutes later. So we sat down in the lobby and waited for 20 minutes. Her attitude only got worse when I came back up to the counter to get our room. It's really a shame that her piss poor service tarnished how good everything and everyone else was during our stay.

Central for walking around Gatlinburg , nice clean hotel , good Breakfast to purchase , Friendly staff. Bar on site and Starbucks coffee .

Nothing really to not like , they are building a hotel next door , but didn’t disturb our stay .

We had to wait for our room. We arrived b4 4:00 check-in time and walked around until then but still had to wait hour and half. Also we were given a king bed only for 3 people. We were able to change the room to a 2 queen bed.

The room was very nice and was located perfectly where we needed it to be! The staff we encountered were very friendly!

There were only two things i didn’t enjoy: -you could hear water running through the walls everytime the room above us used the bathroom. It was very loud especially when trying to sleep. -the instant coffee maker wasn’t the k cup maker i assumed which wouldn’t have been bad if there were more options of coffee other than just dark roast.

The location was spot on and great location. It would be nice to have a free breakfast for the cost of the hotel room.

The location was great. It was very close to downtown and many attractions. The bed was very comfortable.

The only issue I had was that the water didn't get as hot. It was warm the entire trip.

The time the pool and courtyard closed. I think at least the courtyard should be open all night.

Hotel double charged booking payment.

I gave a credit card for incidentals and now I’m being harassed about paying it because of an error on the staff. Phone calls, emails etc. I’m traveling! Huge authorization form to complete and send. Not convenient and on top of this…they say I won’t get Marriott points because I didn’t book through Marriott. I chose Marriott deliberately and at a higher cost and now no points.

1.Paying daily for parking. 2. I purposely booked a room with a pull out couch for my children to sleep on. We I contacted the front desk to notify them that tje bed was broken, I was offered a roll away bed. I did not pay for a room with a pull out sofa to be offered a roll away bed. I was never offered any other compensation and so my daughter had to sleep on a couch after I had payed for a room that would accommodate my family size. There were also no sheets or blankets provided on the sofa bed when in previous hotels they are always folded up with sheets and blankets for use.

The property was very clean and convenient to everything. The onsite bar and food options were great! Every team member was amazing to interact with!

There is a thermostat on the wall but has a note on it saying “ does not control temperature “ . There was a small wall unit under a cabinet. It was terrible. Room was very hot. Also, could hear everything going on in hallways. Had a nice large window but it was so dirty, wasn’t pleasing to look out.

The only dislike was a construction site next to motel. They started working and it was loud at 330am on Monday. I got mixed feedback from the city of Gatlinburg when I called to complain. I was told first there is a noise ordinance that limits any noise until after 7 am. The police told me it didn’t apply to commercial businesses, so I called city manager. They told me there is a sound limit for commercial before 7 am. I don’t know what to tell anyone who stays there on a week day.

Exceptionally clean and friendly staff!

No fan in bathroom. Coffee in room is delicious, but the packets are very difficult to open.

Maintenance man Stephan went above and beyond to be helpful.

Front desk staff was not attentive to our needs and did not seem to care about their job or the customers. Hot tub did not have towels. Hot tub jets did not work on over half the unit. Coffee maker didn't work and couldn't get the front desk to replace.

I stayed here for three nights while exploring the Great Smoky Mountains, and I’m really glad I chose this property. It’s tucked just off a busy street, which made it surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The facilities were excellent, and both breakfast and dinner provided by the hotel were truly satisfying. While the front desk staff during check-in were a bit curt and spoke too softly to understand easily, the restaurant staff were friendly and hardworking, which made a big difference in the overall experience.

Service was friendly, stay was okay but the checkout was not good. I was unaware that there was a $15 a night charge for parking. AT A HOTEL PARKING LOT. Was not mentioned at check-in. Did not make me happy and I will probably not be back. I stay in Gatlinburg about twice a year and thought I found a good place to stay. I was wrong.

Excellent stay! Hotel was in great condition and very clean. Every staff member I was in contact with was pleasant and helpful. Love this spot! Great location.

Breakfast was lacking. Bed was creaky and kept us awake.

The walls were like paper and you could hear every single move of the other room, coffee was spilled by some guest in one of the elevator and took the staff hours to clean. Did not appreciate the attitude of staff/nothing specific but very dry and cold responses as if they are doing a favor to us. Very unlike Mariott culture. Coffee was bad , Avacado toast we ordered tasted weird, yougurt parfait was bad as if it was probably expired.

Hotel was very clean. AC needed a tune up. Room stayed warm overnight despite the thermostat being turned down. Convenient location
