The style of the place, beautiful, peaceful, the kids toys, lovely cats and the location were awsome.

Our villa was clean and spacious, the communal spaces were always kept tidy and clean, and the staff were so helpful and accommodating, and super friendly. Starling villas are within walking distance from the main strip with many restaurants and bars, the beach is still within walking distance but we found it much quicker to hire bikes to get around quicker.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt in den Starling Villas in Sanur. Obwohl Sanur insgesamt sehr belebt ist, liegt die Unterkunft ruhig. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die Gastgeberin. Sie ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und jederzeit unterstützend zur Stelle. Die Villen sind nett und gemütlich eingerichtet. Man merkt zwar, dass sie schon etwas älter sind, aber es ist wirklich extrem sauber. Die Klimaanlage befindet sich ausschließlich im Schlafraum, kühlt diesen aber zuverlässig herunter. Der Garten ist wunderschön gepflegt, grün und mit einem kleinen Pool ausgestattet, der sich perfekt für eine kurze Abkühlung zwischendurch eignet.

Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt sind die Badezimmerarmaturen, die demnächst mal erneuert werden müssten.

Location was great for walking to north or south Sanur which our family prefer to do than taxi. Great little Warungs nearby too. Property was clean and spacious.

Although very sufficient and very clean it’s not luxury in terms of finishing touches, which is fine for the cost as it’s very good value. The only thing we would have preferred is better hot water in the shower.

Wat een prachtige locatie. Als je de poort doorloopt waan je je in een andere wereld. Heerlijk stil en een prachtige tuin. Al het personeel is super vriendelijk en alles netjes schoon en onderhouden. Vooral van de grote tafel in de gazebo hebben wij ontzettend van genoten om in de ochtend te ontbijten en onze spelletjesavonden. Wij komen zeker terug.

Het was erg schoon, een prima locatie, lekkere grote kamers en airco! De bedden sliepen ook erg lekker!

Very relaxed and relaxing atmosphere. Good energy, not to far from the main street and beaches. We choose to eat breakfast just around the corner or at the beach. That is a personal preference not because of the location.

Fijne en mooie accomodatie. Heerlijk zwembadje. Locatie was perfect . Dichtbij restaurantjes, winkels en strand. Mensen van Starling villas erg behulpzaam. . Fijne start met onze twee kleine kinderen.

We’ve stayed here before and love it. Location is fantastic and peaceful with plenty of warungs, restaurants and shopping within a few minutes walk. The staff (Muri, Simon & Budi) are absolutely lovely and happy to help with anything.

Like most accommodation in Bali the seating can be a bit uncomfortable but the daybeds by the pool are comfy.

Hosts, Muri and Simon are wonderful hosts; quick to attend to any issues, friendly, helpful and kind. Spacious apartment in quiet location with supermarket nearby. Able to walk to everything you need. Gas stovetop and large fridge were very useful. Great supply of drinking water. Lovely outlook over the pool and garden.

My kitchen got the afternoon sun which made the living area hot. I found the chairs in the lounge area a bit uncomfortable. Frequent disconnections whilst streaming videos.

Beautiful pool and very kid friendly staff. Muri and her staff went out of the way to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Location was excellent, the villa was perfect and exactly what was needed. Muri and Simon where amazing.

Excellent place for our stay with our 10 month old son. Tranquil and family friendly, and Muri was a fantastic host, going above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and as easy as possible.

The villa was a great size and tastefully decorated..the gardens are delightful and the pool was very clean and inviting..the location is very convenient down a quiet clean street with restaurants very close by and a short walk to the Main Street and the beach..Muri and the staff are super friendly and helpful..the beds are comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped ..we couldn’t fault the place and thoroughly enjoyed our stay .. I looked at a lot of hotel options and Starling villas had great reviews that lived up to my expectations..it’s not 5 star but it’s great value for money 🙂

We had a really pleasant stay at Starling Villas in Sanur and felt very comfortable throughout. The location is excellent – you can easily walk into town where you’ll find plenty of restaurants, cafés and laundry services nearby. The accommodation has a lovely layout, with several small apartments surrounding a central pool and common area, which creates a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were well equipped, with air conditioning and a small kitchen area, which was very convenient for making coffee or simple meals. While the place is not ultra-modern, it has a lot of charm and feels more personal and unique compared to large hotel chains. The host was especially wonderful – very friendly and welcoming, and she gave us great tips for things to do in the area. We really enjoyed chatting with her. We actually would have loved to stay longer, but unfortunately had to leave earlier due to changes in our travel plans. Overall, we highly recommend this place.

Die Unterkunft lag zentral. Zu Fuss ist die Hauptstrasse gut zu erreichen. Die Anlage ist wunderschön bepflanzt. Es gibt süsse Katzen die zu Besuch kommen.

Leider ist die Ausstattung zum Teil sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Türen sind nicht dicht und daher ist es schwer sich gegen Krabbeltiere zu wehren. Die Managerin ist kaum vor Ort. Dies zeugt von viel Vertrauen, macht aber die Kommunikation sehr schwierig.

Meie kõige parem ja mugavam peatumine Balil. Reisime lastega, seega ootused majutusele kõrged ning siin oli kõik suurepärane. Tuba koristati iga päev, köögis oli suur veetünn mageveega mis tegi sooja ja kuuma vett. Lapsevoodi ja lapsetool söömiseks. Meie host Muri rääkis väga head inglise keelt ja aitas meid mitme probleemiga. Lähedal asuvad hea söögi ja hinnaga restod ja kohvikohad. Lapse käruga sai liikuda otse randa, see oli luksus mida ülejäänud Balil ei kohta väga. Igatsesime seda võimalust igal pool mujal ka. Ilus vannituba ja dušši all käimine oli tore - paljudes Bali majutustes oli just vannituba väga kole aga seal oli kõik suurepärane. Basseini puhastati iga päev ja seal oli mõnus ujuda.

Kõik oli suurepärane kui välja arvata et mitte kassi inimesena olid kassid veidi tüütud. Tuli kogu aeg peale passida et nad tuppa ei tuleks ja õues söömine oli raskendatud sest kui tulid õue toiduga olid kassid kohe laua peal platsis. Keda see ei häiri siis polegi muud öelda.

Muri und ihre Freunde sind fantastisch. So freundlich, ruhig und hilfsbereit. Wir waren vier Wochen da und wollten gar nicht mehr weg. Wir haben uns durchgehend wohl und sicher gefühlt. Es war ruhig und trotzdem nah genug um zum Supermarkt oder ins Restaurant zu laufen. Auch Wäschereien sind in der Nähe. Die Villa ist mit allem ausgestattet, das Bett mega bequem und die Klimaanlage war schon eine Erleichterung. Die Villa ist groß mit Schränken und Regalen für alles. Meine kleine Tochter liebte den Pool und die lieben Kätzchen. Wenn man abends gesucht hat, konnte man im Garten auch Geckos oder Frösche finden. Sanur ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für alle möglichen Touren.

Wir waren nur traurig, als der Urlaub zu Ende war und hoffen auf ein Wiedersehen.

Het personeel is zo lief! Alles wat je vraagt word meteen geregeld. Wij hebben 2 nachten bijgeboekt vorige week en hebben besloten onze reis hier af te sluiten dus we gaan aankomend weekend nog even 3 nachtjes genieten bij starling villa’s.. De kamers zijn ruim en prima! Het is schoon en gezellig met de katjes die op het terrein rondlopen.

Very nice and calm villa. Muri was very friendly and helpfull. I can certainly recommend this .

My husband and I enjoyed staying at the villas. Muri was an absolute delight and we enjoyed our chats in the after by the pool. The place has some lovely nooks with chairs and sofas to chill out. Tea, coffee and water available to help yourself to. Even though there are 6 villas, it was always peaceful and relaxing. The room amenities were great with everything you would expect, including a water cooler to top up our bottles. We enjoyed the resident cats who loved to visit us in our villa. The villa is close to shops, warungs, laundry services and a 15 minute walk to the main beach where restaurants and sun lounges were available to hire for a minimal cost. On one of our days we hired push bikes long the board walk to explore the area. Sanur is such a relaxing place to visit.

Not a deal breaker, but slightly closer to the beach would have been good. Villas could do with a refurb, splash of paint but absolutely fine as they are and very comfortable.

Sehr ruhig, toller Innenhof mit Pool der sogar zum Teil im Schatten liegt durch den Baum - super mit Baby! Freundliche katzen auf der Anlage, tolle Pflanzen. Alles wirkt sehr ruhig und friedlich und grün. Herrliche kleine Oase. Unser Appartement war groß mit Küchenleiter und Kühlschrank, Wasserspender und Sofa.. Bett groß und bequem. Geräumiges Bad.

Das Bad hat nach dem ersten Tag angefangen zu müffeln… scheint aber oft der Fall zu sein. War in anderen Unterkünften auch so…

It's nice and quiet. Next to the hosts, Muri and Simon, the other guests were also very relaxed and friendly. The room is more a full appartment than only a room. It's huge!

The door to the bathroom didn't close properly. But it wasn't an issue for us. I also can't see why others would see an issue here, but if it's important for you: now you know.

Small & friendly . Great location. Beautiful setting, big rooms & comfortable bed

We stayed at three hotels in Bali and this was the best by far for facilities and comfort. The villa was ideal for a family with a separate living room, TV, kitchen and cooking facilities, and even a private court yard. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant offering lots of advice and tips to make our stay better. Lots of shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Beach is an easy 15 mins walk. Would stay here again.

Location close to Icon Bali Mall. No breakfast provided, but only 100 metres away from resto.

We booked 2 units for my family of 5 adults and 1 child. Villas are spacious and comfortable. The staff are very helpful and kind. The location is awesome too.

Stayed 28 nights. Just about everything. Our villa was clean, a good size with plenty of room to move around and relax. Location of Starling Villas is excellent, close to eateries / Warungs and the main street and beach are a short walk away. Also the main supermarket is nearby. Muri and her helpers Simon and Budi made us feel very welcome and always attended to any of our requests promptly.

Not really a dislike but air conditioning in the living area would have been good. When we stayed ( June / July ) the weather was just right for us but it would have been a problem in Summer.

The location was excellent.Muri was excellent.

The hot water only lasted a short time it wasn’t enough for the 2 of us to have a shower.

Muri is an exceptional hostess, and made my son and I feel very welcome. She helped us organise things and gave great recommendations.

Great location with walking distance to Main Street, minimart, eateries and beach. Sound proofing is excellent, I slept like a baby. Muri was very responsive to all our requests and made our stay an excellent one, it definitely wouldn’t be great without it her! The pool was very clean and my kids enjoyed their pool time a lot, we were also blessed with good weather. There is a communal area with fridge and oven/ toaster which is very convenient. There is also fridge and a small kitchenette in our unit. The unit had a TV which we can cast our movies using our phone, this is really handy and we appreciate that.

the accommodation was great. Muri was very nice and helpful. the accommodation was clean and regularly cleaned. it was very quiet and peaceful and close to restaurants and the beach. we definitely recommend it to everyone.

It a was a massive room. The staff were great. and the location was great pretty much close to everything.

Only a couple of small issues but nothing major. One of the locks on the back door wouldn't work but that was soon put right and on the last day we was without water due to some accident but no fault directed to the staff. just one those things. It certainly wouldn't put me off staying there again if I ever go back to Bali. All in all I was generally happy

We enjoyed the shared pool and the location of Starling Villas.

A few things didn't meet my expectations: the villa could've been cleaner - the covers on the cushions in the dining area were dirty, the kettle got scorching hot as it didn't automatically switch off which was dangerous and the pool area had an umbrella without a shade cloth on it.

The location and the Villa both were amazing. I loved everything about the Villa. Muri was so lovely. Close to the main street we walked everywhere even to the Icon Mall. Safe and quite area. Muri and Simon both were wonderful hosts.

There wasn't anything to dislike.

I really liked the location and the way the hotel is set up. It is very relaxing to sit out in the atrium by the pool with all the plants and flowers surrounding you. The hotel pool area is all enclosed with the rooms making the walls surrounding this lovely area. Very safe and mostly quiet. You can swim in the pool or relax in the lounge chairs surrounded by the greenery and flowers. The rooms are a very good size with kitchen, living room, large bedroom room, dressing room and the bathroom. You also have a front porch to sit outside your room and enjoy the view, sunshine and fresh air.

I would say the only thing I didn't like is the rain we had at times which excited the flies and they bugged me when I would like to sit outside and read. Also the rain created problems in the area on the roads. NO problems in the resort but access roads to the resort swell with water.

Ideal for families, convenient location, staff were great and friendly. All round great stay

This villa is located in a Sanur alley, and there are many shops nearby, such as restaurants, convenience stores, and laundromats, so you can easily solve anything you need. We walked out every morning and enjoyed brunch. The host of the villa, Muri, was very welcoming and the cats were also friendly. The villa was a bit old, but you could tell that Muri had taken good care of it.

The villa is a bit old. If you are looking for a fancy and modern place, this might not be the place for you. I stayed at the nearby haytt a few months ago, but considering the price difference, I personally would prefer to stay here and enjoy the surroundings.

Great option for a small apartment in Sanur. Rooms spacious and clean, all went smooth....friendly and accommodating staff.

Not really the hotels fault.....but they should be better in removing the waste in the surrounding streets. Same waste bags were left there unattended during our entire stay.

Absolutely love this place. We had two villas. Very spacious 1 bedroom villas with an extra single bed. Warungs close by. 3 minute walk to main shopping street. 10 minute walk to beach. Staff are so friendly. Comfortable beds. Our kids loved the pet cats. Pool is a nice temperature and a good size outdoor under cover area. Thank you Simon and Muri for being wonderful hosts. We will definitely be back.

I liked the location which was close to the sea as well as shopping, massage and restaurants. The property was nice as well as the pool.

There was quite a lot of noise coming from the street. In a double bed when one turned, the other one bounced. In a small bedroom the air conditioner was blowing right at us but it was too humid and hot to stop it at night. Our room was more expensive because of the terrace but in European standards it looked more like a smoking area - paved cubicle with chairs.

Everything was great. Lovely stay with lush tropical gardens. Felt very authentic and more personable than staying in large hotel. Everything you need

Muri was a very friendly and helpful host. Starling villas is a great place to relax as it is in a nice quiet location too. Also it is very easy to get to Danau Tamblingan.

The location is quite convenient, all staff are very kindness. I love the green plants everywhere in the villa. The space in Bedroom living room and kitchen is big enough. Lots of choice restaurants near by the villa by walking distance. Strongly recommend.

Relatively close to the main boulevard of shops & restaurants (Tamblingan) yet quiet & peaceful neighbourhood. Simple but complete facilities (e.g., swimming pool, open air lounge). Large & clean rooms, towels & linen. Good set of kitchen utensils, cup & bowels plus simple gas stove. Friendly & courteous host.

More insect repellents (or incense oils) - not just main room. More frequent room inspections for possible mice infestation.

This villa is a hidden gem. It's located close to Sanur Beach, shops and restaurants, but is also in a quiet street just off the main street so you don't feel overwhelmed. The complex is gorgeous, feels really safe & like a paradise with the lovely pool & gorgeous plants. My daughter never wanted to leave the pool. The villa itself has everything you need. The beds are really big & the villa is spacious. Muri, the host is lovely, so friendly, really helpful and she really made us feel at home. We would definitely return if we go back to Bali!

After a wonderful 17 days at Starling Villas, we were so happy with our stay. The location is fantastic, within easy walking distance to most of Sanur's attractions. The villas (only 6 in total) were very spacious and comfortable with most of the facilities you need for a pleasant stay. The bed, and especially the pillows, was so comfortable and the hot water was a continuous gas heating system with plenty of pressure (not always a feature of other Bali properties). The garden and pool were ideal and very well maintained. The common area contained a toaster and microwave and a refrigerator containing drinks available for purchase. Although situated in a reasonably busy part of Sanur it was always very quiet - in fact we did not hear one rooster during our entire stay and the local dogs were unobtrusive. The local supermarket was only a 5 minute walk away for those wanting to self-cater - we did for one night only as the range of eateries in the area was limitless. Many thanks to Muri and Simon for their wonderful hospitality and their happy and friendly attention to all their guests. We look forward to our next stay in Sanur and hopefully Starling Villas will have a place for us although they are understandably very popular with people from around the world.

Not really a dislike but more of a suggestion - the crockery and glasses were a bit limited and mis-matched and a better range of saucepans would have been nice. This was discussed with Muri and I am sure will be looked at shortly.

Perfect location. About a 10 minutes walk to restaurants and supermarkets and about 15 minutes to the beach and boardwalk. The central common area was ideal to sit and have a drink and enjoy the garden and the pool was great and much needed. The air conditioning in the bedroom was much needed and the free drinking water was a huge bonus. Muri and her team were amazing and went above and beyond to ensure you have a comfortable stay.

Whilst the Villa was comfortable and did provide the basics you needed, it was a little dated. The living area was really hot as only had a ceiling fan, so spent more time in the bedroom.

The apartments are super nice and feel bigger than in the pictures. The staff are wonderful. Muri is the best host and was so sweet and helpful with our kids. It’s in a quiet area but just a short walk to different restaurants and to the Main Street. It’s a perfect place for a longer stay in Sanur and even walking distance to a lovely daycare :-) we will be back soon!

Starling villas was amazing. The villas were comfortable and the courtyard/ pool was beautiful. The location was great and the staff were so kind and helpful. We’ll definitely be back.

The hospitality of the host. She was always around, but not noticeable and the atmosphere was relaxed. In fact everything was great.

Our little villa was quirky ,quiet and comfortable muri our host was just a beautiful kind soul that makes you happier just being in her presence we felt so at home.The location was great close to some iconic warungs and 5 minutes walk too the main road were you will find cafes ,restaurants ,supermarkets and pharmacies very convenient and maybe a 10 minute walk to the beach if that ,what more do you need !! The bed was comfortable ,Villa clean and we felt safe we loved Muris resident cats too they would come up for a pat each day the gardens were very pretty and the pool was clean definitely we will go back and stay Thank you 🙏muri we will be back to stay with you what a hidden Gem !!

A beautiful sanctuary with amazing gardens, shrubs, gazebo and pool . We enjoyed the fact we were self contained and could cook if we wanted . That was a luxury. Muri our host and Simon the Groundsman were exceptional and made our stay wonderful. They were so helpful in every way... And always with big smiles. Nothing was too much for them . Thoroughly recommend this 'oasis' for short or long stays

Everything. It was the second time booking the same villa. As always the staff very friendly and fast in any request. The location is very good, close to any interesting point in Sanur. The place is very quiet and familiar.
