There was a tiny cockroach and clumps of hair in one of the bathrooms. The location is ok - about a 15 minute walk from the train station - but a bit dark when walking in the area at night

Reviewed Nov 16, 2025Incredibly kind staff. The place is a bit aged but definitely a great value for money. Very nice living room area where you could eat and meet other travellers. I only stayed over night during my hike through Nakasendo Trail.
Shower room a bit cold but the water is nice and hot so no a biggie. It's an old cabin so the wooden floor a bit noisy when trying to leave quietly at 6am but I guess it's part of its charm.

Reviewed Nov 16, 2025客厅太棒了，有沙发有桌椅有自助饮料（咖啡、热茶等），附近没有便利店，饭店也都经常因为预约满了不接待，晚上很晚checkin吃不到晚饭还可以这里买方便面，不知道什么牌子但比日清好吃太多了，里面竟然还有真虾仁…晚上在客厅吃面，喝茶，追剧，办公都很温馨。bathroom很大，厕所里有mini暖气炉，最重要还有行李间和带锁储物柜，这样包包和外套就不用放床上了！整体都很满意，明年来还住这里！

Reviewed Sep 4, 2025Very nice staff - they met us, explained everything and provided us with ice tea. The interior was very cozy, with the lounge area and even 24hours reading room. There was also free coffee and tea. The price was good for the area.
Pay attention to the location - it was good for us, but it could be a bit far from the sightseeing places.

Reviewed Aug 15, 2025Just had an excellent stay there! The owners were very helpful and accommodating and I especially appreciated that they stored my bag until the afternoon on checkout day. The guesthouse itself was clean, cozy and well-maintained. If u r hoping to chat with others or make new friends, just be aware that the vibe is generally quiet, my roommates preferred to keep to themselves so it’s best to be considerate and keep ur voice down. Overall, its a comfortable experience and Id definitely recommend Bells Cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful place to stay PS: It was a busy week during the summer holidays and the bus traffic was quite heavy... frequent delays. Decided to take a pleasant 30-min walk to Harunire Terrace in the Hoshino area. 10-ish mins into the walk, you'll find 01BAKERY, a great spot to take a break. Also, if you don't have enough time for a hot spring visit, there is a free cold water foot bath available to the public, next to the hot spring which is a refreshing alternative!

車であれば問題ないが、それ以外の交通手段だと食事も買い物もなかなか厳しいこと覚悟のロケーションかもしれない。 施設の老朽化はしょうがないとして、清掃、植木の手入れなど、軽井沢という土地柄にしては行き届いておらず勿体無い印象あり。

Le trajet depuis la gare à pied, la première fois a semblé long mais ensuite nous allions et venons en se disant que c'était rapide. En plus, le paysage est très beau. Je conseille le passage par le temple et le pont rouge. Les espaces communs sont spacieux et chaleureux.

夜、オーナーさん(奥さん)が友人たちと食事をしていて、なんとなく落ち着かなかった。 お風呂マットが綺麗なのかどうかよくわからないのが、気になる。

Reviewed May 6, 2025GW直前でも予約が取れてよかった。 どこに行くにもアクセスがよく、共同風呂だが、循環湯で、夜中も、朝9時までも、風呂に入れるのがとてもよかった。早朝の野鳥観察で冷えた体をあっためることができてとてもありがたかったです。
他の宿泊客が夜中まで騒いでいる声が響いていてうるさかった。せめて12時以降は静かにしてほしいと思った。
