Kawaguchiya Kinosaki Riverside Hotel

It was spacious with traditional Japanese character rooms. Our private onsen was amazing and well used!

A few trips occurred due to steps in the bathroom you couldn’t see…

建物は古いですが 和を基調とした改装をされていて落ち着きます 寝巻きの浴衣とおしゃれ浴衣が用意されていて おしゃれ浴衣で温泉街へお出かけ出来ます 大浴場が豪華です、シャンプーも色々取り揃えてあり、好みのシャンプーとリンスが選べます

残念ながら、廊下にゴキブリがいました。

Klassischen Ryokan, mit phantastischem Service, tollen Onsen, vor allem der private, den man stundenweise mieten kann. Wir hatten ihn gemietet als das Hotel ein Feuerwerk ausrichtete.

Everything, the staff are some of the most amazing we have met on our entire trip. They took the time to explain things to ensure we understood everything. The room was by far the most impressive we have seen. The detail, layout and amenities in the room and the building were fantastic. The meals that were offered were beautifully thought out and presented. If on a scale on 1 to 10 and 10 was perfect it would be an 11.

貸切露天風呂サウナ付きから見た花火が最高でした！ お風呂に浸かりながら六階の高さから見た花火の迫力は一生の思い出になりました。 お部屋は綺麗で快適でしたし、スタッフの皆さんはとても丁寧であたたかみを感じました。 子供達は特に寝具を気に入ってました。ちょうどいい柔らかさだとぐっすり寝ることができたようです。 ホテルから歩いていける距離の街並みも柳の景観が良くて雰囲気がありました。ここに来てよかったです ホテルを出た時にコウノトリが飛んでるのが一瞬ですが見えました。オススメの宿泊施設です♪

Great location for walking through town and amazing traditional Japanese inn experience. The traditional Japanese breakfast was fun and I would definitely recommend it to others.

The yutakas are free for women to rent, but you have to pay for kids and men. Not sure why this is the case as you have to pay for them to stay at the hotel. Not a deal breaker, but just a little annoying.

いろんな事に親切に対応してくれました。 車まで荷物を取りに来てくれる。

スタッフの方の心配りがとても良かった。 特に駐車場から荷物を運んで下さった方やチェックイン前のフロントの方が親切でした。夕食のスタッフの方も食べきれなかったケーキを部屋まで運んで下さったり親切丁寧な対応をしていただきました。

時間制が多かったです。 門限や、喫茶の時間等、チェックアウトが10時なので朝がバタバタしたり、夕食後は門限が気になって出掛けるのをやめました。

Close to the baths, amenities like yukata, traditional feel. The staff were lovely and helpful. Very clean and spacious feeling.

Food options in town were limited especially for lunch and not really set up to have meals in the room.

Onsen was great, love the provided yukatas, room was great and clean.

The staff contacted me before hand asking about allergies. I have a gluten allergy so they informed me all restaurants on the premise would not serve me anything. They probably had a bad experience with allergies before. It was a pain but understandable. Would have enjoyed being able to get something at the restaurants (a lot of the menu looked naturally gluten free)

Location is just off the Main Street in Kinosaki. 8-10 minutes from the train station. They have a van to drive you depending on your arrival & departure time. They will hold your bags after check out if you have more exploring to do. Rooms were clean, comfortable and traditional Japanese style with tatami mat floors, futons for beds, and low table with comfortable chairs. Staff was courteous and helpful. We would gladly stay here again.

Room for the toilet would be my only negative. Tiny wood paneled room with no ventilation.

Our room for 5 people (2 adults and 3 teenagers) was a great size. The beds were very comfortable. The room, and the hotel as a whole did have quite a bad smell. Our room smelt like cauliflower, but once we sprayed with the room spray provided it was ok. It’s a hotel with lots of charm, although stuck in the 70’s.

- le personnel très gentil - la localisation - le bain privatisé avec sauna et vue sur la rivière - le prêt de yukatas - la literie - le calme

- chambre vétuste avec forte odeur dans de renfermé/ vieux/ moisi (malgré les tentatives d’ouvrir et de produits fresh) - déception à l’arrivé car j’avais l’impression d’avoir réservé vue rivière, alors que je donnais sur la rue. Le prix de la chambre devrait varier selon la vue et ça ne devrait pas dépendre de l’heure d’arrivé (tardive pour ma part)

Very hospitable staff they make you feel at home and assist you with Yukatas and everything you might need for the onsen experience. The Japanese style room was big and me and my friend were impressed with the comfort compared to other rooms we stayed in Japan. Would highly suggest the ryokan style breakfast if you’re not a fussy eater as the quality was great and added a very nice touch to the stay.

Location, delicious and very extensive dinner and breakfast, nice onsen and choice of yukatas. Free bus to onsens in town

L'hôtel est situé au bout de la rivière. Il était très propre. Je n'ai pas testé le onsen de l'hôtel, donc je ne peux rien en dire. Ni pris mes repas là bas. Les chambres étaient calmes et propres. Un petit balcon dans les chambres. Une bouilloire et quelques friandises en guise de bienvenue. Bonne option pour Kinosaki Onsen.

Un petit peu difficile de caser les valises dans l'entrée qui est un peu étroite, et comme le sol est un tatamis, nous ne mettions évidemment pas les valises qui ont roulé à l'extérieur dessus.

Private onsen bathroom is excellent. The room is very big and pleasant.

Free rent yukata was a little old but OK to make a good vibe photo.

Exceptional property at the edge of Kinosaki Onsen town. Meals and staff were most appreciated.

Having the attached onsens was super nice, choose when you want to go during open hours.

Hard to think of anything right now. Kinosaki was probably my favorite stay on this trip. Love the traditional countryside feel.

The ambience of the property since the first moment you arrive is amazing. The staff welcomes you since you are getting closed to the entrance. The place is just amazing walkable distance. The overal experience on this place is just great.

かわいい柄の浴衣にテンション上がった 草履が履けるソックスもプレゼントしてくれて、裸足に草履は寒いかなぁって思ってたので嬉しかった

でも、下駄・草履の底がすり減っていて、歩きにくかった。 足袋ソックスを履いてたので、滑ってしまい全然うまく歩けなかったです 下駄には裸足が1番いいみたい

The Hotel was able to take our luggage early so we were able to start exploring. The hotel is at the start of the street for all the Onsen and the furthest one is a 20 min walk. There is a shuttle to bring you to the onsen but not bring you back. Lots of good restaurants in the area. The hotel was very clean there was an onsite onsen that is tattoo friendly as well, with an inside part and cooling part area very nice. Hotel provides you with public onsen passes for your stay and fancy yukatas for women that are not on the taller side. I am a 6 foot woman on 3X size and they were still able to provide me with a simpler yukata.

We had a very nice traditional room though our group did find it a bit hard to sleep on the futons on the floor, but it was an experience we wanted.

Big, bright room and the futons were extremely comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional. Great to have our own yakutas to wear around the town while visiting onsens. We also booked a private onsen at the hotel which was lovely.

The downstairs area could do with smartening up. The view from our room was very disappointing; car park and shabby building.

The hakuta costs money for men to rent, which seems slightly odd to western travellers I think.
