I liked the fact the double room was big enough: me and my bridesmaids got reasy there!

The bed was a bit too narrow so it felt like I was going to fall

Les soirées du vendredi et samedi soir au pub en dessous des chambres sont bruyante avec la musique jusqu'à 2 heures du matin. Même si les bouchons d'oreilles sont proposés, ce qui aide.

Nothing! It was excellent! I would wholeheartedly recommend staying and having a Guinness and a dinner there!

It was easy for us to get too. Regulat trains and buses from Liverpool Street to seven kings. Where McCaffertys hase great food and drink.

It was a bit noisy until the music stopped at about 2am .

Location is near the underground station. Friendly staff.

Air conditioning needs cleaning. During our stay, I experienced several insect bites which caused itching and skin irritation

Close proximity to the tube station. Room was a good size for two people.

The whole room needed updating, peeling wallpaper, stained carpets, the bathroom bin was broken and rusting, the air conditioning did not work and there were stains on the bed sheets.

When we used the shower the drain didn't work, hence the toilet got flooded. Also the carpet was dirty.

Very friendly and helpful staff, good food in the bar bellow, close to the train station. Despite being above the bar, you could hear music very faintly and it wasnt a problem. Cool rooms due to conditioner. Tasty bisquits and tea in the room.

Towels and sheets were stained with what I assume was bleach, definetly need new ones. There were hair and dust on our beds. Mold in the shower, a bit complicated shower system, but staff helped with that, however, heat regulating button was broken and they didnt really do anything about it. Good for a short stay on a budget if you have stuff to do in the area.

Bacon Sandwich was really good and the service was good, staff were very courteous. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable, the only slight issue was the Iron stain on the carpet, however I do appreciate these things happen and it didn’t have an effect on the stay.

It was convenient location with shops, food places and train station nearby.

The manager over booked . So on the 2nd we first got disturbed by the housekeeper telling us check out 11am. We were booked till 4th July. Then the housekeeper came back apologised and we got moved to another room. Because the manager booked our original room to someone else. This other room was more noisy!!

The air-conditioning was really good. It was a heatwave but reaching hotel room was such a relief.

The washroom was too narrow. The stair were really steep and difficult with bags.

Bed bugs badly infected in this hotel . It was Very noisy in the night as it located above a large pub with live music on in the evening; no matter ear plugs provided, couldn’t sleep until music all gone . Reported the hotel management regarding bed bugs bitten, but they refused to look at the issue.

Unfortunately, the conditions at McCafferty's Guesthouse Ilford were unacceptable and forced us to leave after the first night and book alternative accommodation at our own expense. The toilets were in a particularly unsanitary condition upon arrival. We immediately reported this to staff. An employee later informed us that the toilets had been checked and were "okay". However, they had clearly not been cleaned and we ultimately had to clean them ourselves. Even after presenting photographic evidence to the manager, no action was taken beyond the offer of a complimentary drink. The hygiene standards throughout Room 5 were equally unacceptable. The bedding contained (blood?) stains, hair and crumbs, the carpet was visibly dirty. The air-conditioning unit was so dirty and foul-smelling that it could not be used despite the heat wave. A night of nightmares.

The atmosphere was fantastic,the staff were excellent the Guinness was lovely and the food was delicious

I didn't like that I could stay only one night I will definitely be going back

Vi valde Ilford på grund av ett musikevenemang i närheten. Hade i det stora hela en mycket bra upplevelse! Otroligt trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Bra läge, nära tunnelbanan. God och prisvärd mat i puben nedanför. Lite russel från puben på kvällen, men vi erbjöds öronproppar och då fungerade det kanon! Skulle absolut kunna återvända! :)

Nothing Very disappointed with this guest house. The place was not clean at all, and the staff behaviour was extremely poor. We called them many times but they never picked up the phone. When we finally managed to speak to them, they were very rude and unhelpful. Overall, it was a very bad experience and I would not recommend staying here.

Das unter der Unterkunft liegende typische Pub war abends für einen Absacker sehr gemütlich und nicht überfüllt. Das Essen war sehr gut (Fish and Chips und auch das irische Frühstück). Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich. Vom Pub-Betrieb haben wir in unserem Zimmer übrigens gar nichts mitbekommen.

Frühstück war nicht inbegriffen und von Mo-Do ab 11 Uhr und am Wochenende ab 9 Uhr erhältlich - etwas zu spät, wenn man auf Sightseeing-Kurzurlaub ist. Auf dem Weg in die Stadt finden sich aber zahlreiche alternative Möglichkeiten. Die Betten waren okay, der Bodenbelag sollte dringend einmal erneuert werden, mit einem wischbaren Belag (aktuell vorhanden: Teppich). Das sog. Familienzimmer mit einem Doppelbett (eigentlich Größe Kingsize) war okay für einen Erwachsenen und einen Jugendlichen - die Ausziehcouch war eher fragwürdig (fleckig, unbequem) und bei ausgezogener Couch war das Zimmer für 4 Personen zu klein/eng - auch um ins Bad zu kommen. Die weiße Bettwäsche war für mich als "alte Hausfrau" nicht richtig sauber - es ging aber trotzdem - Augen zu und durch.

I usually give this establishment full marks. But on this particular occasion I was very unhappy with the stay

The floor was stained. But most importantly the tv did not work. There was no remote control the staff did get a couple from other rooms, but they did not work with the tv in the room. I unfortunately do not have a tablet or iPad. So I could not do anything for entertainment all night. I was on rest bite so was really not happy. Being such a lovely hotel and bar I thought they would have spare tv remotes

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, which we really appreciated. There is also a nicely arranged and cozy smoking area, which was a great bonus. We were pleasantly surprised that housekeeping cleaned our room during our stay, something we didn’t expect but truly valued. Overall, it was a great experience—especially considering how affordable it is. We will definitely come back and highly recommend it to everyone!

It was a great room for the price above a busy Irish bar . You could hear the music from downstairs in the room but that didn’t bother me at all

Worth every penny

I loved my weekend stay here. The staff are so accommodating and lovely. They even did me a small breakfast, as I can't eat the large one. The chambermaid was extremely polite and friendly. The area is very close to Seven Kings Station and shops. Would definitely come back again. Thank you for looking after me

This place is on the market. There is no care or attention to the rooms. Carpets disgusting. Pillows and towels awful. Would not stay here again !
