The room was comfortable, the breakfast was very nice, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating to us when we couldn't get the room we had previously booked. We enjoyed our stay.

I didn't like that some of our family members had to go out and buy an air mattress because they oversold the rooms and they didn't get there second room that they had booked.

The bathroom was filthy! Room was very small.Plug outlet was not connected. Shower curtain was dirty, three quarter size and half hung. No bath towels. Had an added expense which was fraudulent....reported to visa. No way to touch base with manager of Best Western!!

Breakfast was too late starting. The workers didn't show up until 7 so Breakfast didn't start till about 7:30. So we went without because our race started at 8:05

The breakfast was good. It had a variety of things to choose from and was very well set up. It was nice to see so many choices, instead of a cold breakfast. Really appreciated the effort put into the breakfast for the guests.

My niece had two rooms booked, but they were over sold and she only got one room, and had to spend money on an air mattress so as her family could stay for the wedding. Would have been better if she had received both rooms that she booked.

Limited property available due to no vacancies. Room was fine and bed comfortable. Property, hallways and entrances seemed in need of improvements. It was a bit surprising and had an unsanitary and unsafe conditions.

Very dirty. Sheets were stained. We found bed bugs in the beds. Very disappointed and dissatisfied!!

All rooms do not have opening windows. As result air in the room is stale.

Hotel needs an overhaul. Although clean, the tiny bath towels were each stained. The bed frame was poking through the floor which had cardboard pieces under the beds. The fridge didn't work and the tv remote only changed channels but did not work for power or volume. Beds were saggy. Breakfast was average but the sausages were undercooked. I would not stay again.

Staff was friendly and the beds were comfortable and clean.

Towels were very thin and and didn't include a hand towel. Rooms were very basic and our window had a large hand print from someone else on it.

Barely any traffic small area easy to park felt like one big Homestead yard with gardens and flowers and beautiful trees

No elevator so as a senior it was difficult to schlup my suitcase up 2 flights of stairs. The reception staff were polite but seemed to be a bit clueless. The hotel room ooked like it was going through renovations... Room walls were semi painted. No coffee making machine in room. There was no bar at hotel. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Had a hard time opening door. older hotel not maintained. beds were not comfortable, harbourview side exterior hallway was lit up with strong light that came into the hotel room, and drapes did not keep light out.

Staff were very kind and informative.

After I showed the condition of the dirty pillow, it was replaced.

The smell was like a barn and you could see the filth on the windows and stains on the floor. We stayed for two days. The second morning I noticed the same knife on the table that was left there the day before it was clear that the breakfast tables are not cleaned daily. I had to request a new pillow because it looked like someone's personal pillow was left behind. It was yellow with stains. This should have been noticed if the bed lining are cleaned between guests. The cleanliness was -10.

We liked the location, the room was clean, convenient and easy to find. There was no coffee maker. And there was only one small garbage container in the bathroom. The bed sheets. We’re really wrinkled - not sure why. The place needs a good amount of maintenance and upkeep if they want to keep the property in good condition.

The property is well kept up for its age and is in a good location for walking the city waterfront. There were 5 of us and we were comfortable in the family room with 2 double and 2 twin beds, which is great for a larger family. Breakfast was as good as any we’ve had with lots of selection and seating.

Very old and dirty. Looks like it was just purchased and new owners are trying to bring it back. Breakfast area was dirty and food was not good. Great view though.

The room was very hot and quite old thought clean No air Booked water view but that's a misnomer The window to that view is across the hall from the room. Check in was smooth until I saw two charges on my credit card when there should have been one. They fixed it after much conversation and said it was because they were being bought by Best Western.

The staff were wonderful and this place is kept absolutely immaculate. We had a sea view room, again... immaculate. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. Yes... we enjoyed staying here. They do have some slots there and interesting antiques in the front room. The hotel is older but well maintained. We liked it here.

I would have to say, open boxes and bags on the floor in an entry way to the patio could be gathered up and disposed of. The food was good but needs to pay more attention to fruit that is on the counter. Open boxes piled in a room by the front desk could close the door or clean up so guests don’t see it. A very friendly and accommodating staff. The bed was really comfortable, and the pillows were lovely.Breakfast was good and well presented. Nice location. I will return when I visit Sydney again.

I will start by acknowledging friendly desk staff. Night desk staff was helpful to a point, by coming to the room and turning on a very old tv, for which the remote only half worked. The hotel lobby and restaurant area was not very clean and extremely dated decor and smelled of cigarette smoke. Our room had equally dated decor and was very dirty. Towels and sheets appeared clean, but old and yellowed from over use. The room smelled of smoke from other guests just in outer hallways smoking. Room walls and ceilings had lots of patchwork apparent under the paint. Under each bed in the rooms, was a piece of plywood screwed to the floor, for reasons I’d rather not think about. My partner joked that’s to cover up the blood from the crime scene. Joking aside, that’s the vibe the room gave off. I would NEVER stay at this hotel again. The only reason we did stay, after checking in, was our prior arrangements for accommodation changed and this was the only hotel with rooms available, as a musical festival was playing over the weekend.

The view

Misleading advertising. I booked a room with 2 beds. I received a room with 1 double. The Hotel and Booking.com stated I booked one with one double bed. I checked the booking.com web site and of course the advertising had a few options for double deluxe rooms. One with one double, one with 2 beds and one with a Queen. Be careful what you are booking. When asked for a room with 2 beds the hotel and booking.com stated they could not help. The hallway smells like a barn. The carpet was dirty in the hallway. There were not enough towels in the room for 2 people. Looked like the room was set up for one person. The breakfast was mediocre. The 2nd day the eggs and hash browns were over cooked, and looked like leftovers. not a lot of options for food. Just white bread. The room on the inside was clean. The bed was uncomfortable and had a big divet on one side. The comforter was lumpy and ready for the garbage, non in a hotel room . I will not book this motel again.

The view!

Besides the location and the view, this hotel was very outdated, it had a strong odor everywhere, including our room. Bed was comfortable but not really stable, headboard wasn't attached or bed was loose. No rhyme or reason to furniture or decor. The chairs in the lobby had stains. It's an old building and it shows. There were 4 in our party and there was only 2 towel sets in the room, we had to track down the rest. It was our most expensive accommodation on our trip.

AC was nice, the linens were clean and the mattress was good

Cable box didn't work, remote didn't work, front door was difficult to open/close as it was rubbing against the frame. The bathroom had orange mold growing around the corners of the tub and at the ground level beside it. The silicone job on it looked incredible sloppy. The toilet tank wasn't filling properly, when I looked at the back tank the fill mechanism wasn't working properly and there was mold growing in the back tank.

I liked the comfortable bed and the cleanliness of the room. Staff were outgoing and top notch. The eggs could be less dry and uninteresting, perhaps another option like oarmeal and fresh fruit like berries, pineapple .
