Superb location. Our deluxe room with sea view had sweeping views of the sea from the room and the beautiful, open terrace. On a quiet street away from the crowds, but close to everything. Best property on the street. Great infinity pool with terrific views.

It could do without the all-day, all-evening music. And it’s just bad—like a bunch of Eurovision vocals, covers of actual songs but loungified.

Etablissement très bien situé loin de la foule mais quand même proche du centre proche des belles boutiques. Piscine agréable avec vue sur la mer, restaurant bonne ambiance le soir et à midi. Belle chambre spacieuse très propre et très soignées, excellent service dans les chambres. Personnel très aimable et essayant de réaliser les souhaits du client. Je recommande vivement cet établissement.

Au petit déjeuner trop de sucreries gâteaux keckes biscuits en tout genre mais peu de fromages par exemple. Les prix sont assez élevés.

The property is well care for and spotless clean, we got a very nice spacious room overlooking the magnificent pool with a spectacular view. The pool staff are so attentive and helpful, the nightly turndown is a nice touch. This is a great hotel to stay when visiting Capri would highly recommend this place.🌟

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Capri. We especially loved the interior design, which was beautiful, elegant, and very well maintained. The hotel was also exceptionally clean, which made our stay even more comfortable. We really appreciated the attention to detail, especially the fact that fresh towels were provided twice a day. The bathroom amenities were amazing as well and added a lovely touch to the overall experience. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, stylish, and comfortable place to stay in Capri.

We booked 3 same sized rooms and they gave us 1 bunker 2 normal rooms when we went to the reception and asked to change the room, they said that we would be given a sea view for an additional 20 euros per night, but when we checked out, they asked us for 200 euros per night and made up different excuses for us, like, "There are 3 people in the room, you specifically asked us for a sea view, etc." They ask for 20 euros for each suitcase brought from the port, but they don't inform us in advance.

Hotel Mamela is wonderful - beautifully decorated, comfortable but still Capri glam, and well-located by the main strip in Capri town. The rooms are spacious and bright, and the bathrooms get top marks - my room had a large walk-in shower and huge bathtub. My suite had ample closet space (four in total!), a large lounge area with seating for four, and a large terrace with outdoor couch and two loungers. The suite was clean and comfortable, and offered a peaceful sleep. My room also had a view of the famous Faragolini rocks of Capri, which was a treat! The common areas were lovely - the pool and bar are a vibe, with great views of the water. The crowd is glamorous, the staff are outgoing and kind, and the entire experience feels luxurious yet very comfortable. The hotel is located a short walk from shops and restaurants, and quite close to the archeological museum, gardens of Augustus, and via Krupp which offers an easy walk to beach clubs and marina piccolo. The staff were easily accessible via WhatsApp, and arranged luggage porter service, and taxis from Marina Grande to Capri Town. Mamela was recommended by a friend who visits every year, and I completely understand why it's won their heart. I will be back!

Have been to Capri maybe 8x. First time staying at this hotel. Great breakfast and an excellent location, all within easy walking distance of everything. The rooms are very clean, and the hotel is well maintained throughout. The pool is beautiful and a great place to relax. The only area that could make the stay even better is the concierge service. It would be helpful if they took a more proactive approach by offering suggestions, asking guests about their plans, and assisting more thoroughly with reservations to help guide the overall experience. Would stay here again!

My recent stay at Hotel Mamela in Capri was unfortunately overshadowed by the hotel’s handling of a lost item. After checking out on June 12, I realized that I had left behind a gold necklace that holds significant sentimental and monetary value. We are extremely confident the necklace was left in our room, as the last photo taken before checkout clearly shows me wearing it the night before, and it was never packed with our belongings. What has been most disappointing is not necessarily that the item has not been found, but the lack of urgency and communication from the hotel. Responses have been slow, and there has been little indication that a thorough investigation was conducted. As a guest, I expected a higher level of customer service and concern regarding such an important matter. Luxury hospitality is measured not only by beautiful rooms and stunning views, but by how guests are treated when problems arise. Unfortunately, our experience left us feeling unheard and unsupported. I sincerely hope the hotel takes lost-and-found matters more seriously in the future and makes a greater effort to assist guests facing similar situations. This version is firm, credible, and more likely to be taken seriously by future guests and hotel management.

Very clean elegant. Lovely surroundings and a good swimming pool. Kept very clean. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. Very helpful.

The bathroom had a drain smell which made the bedroom smell. It was not a strong smell but was not that pleasant.

The family suite was brilliant, big main bedroom and a hug terrace with lovely sea view, a sunbed and wonderful resting areas. Swimming pool was lovely , too. Staff were very nice and helpful.

La struttura è molto bella, nuova e ben curata nulla da dire. La piscina è meravigliosa! camera molto confortevole e letto comodo, buona colazione e buon ristorante.

Purtroppo il primo giorno abbiamo avuto un problema con la doccia che è stato risolto dopo più tentativi solo per questo motivo non posso mettere il massimo del punteggio.

房间里一直有一股霉味，必须要一直通风，旁边的房间都在装修，白天有时能听到声音。早饭非常的单调，水果不新鲜，性价比很低。地理位置离市中心很近，但是从港口打车只能到市中心，需要拖着大行李箱走呃二十分钟凹凸不平的石子路，大上坡，酒店倒是提供行李服务但是一共行李20欧，总之性价比极低

Siamo arrivati e nn essendo clienti purtroppo ci hanno assegnato una camera che aveva odori cattivi che uscivano dalla doccia… ma appena chiesto un cambio lo hanno fatto senza esitazione (sapevano di quella camera e di quel problema)ce ne hanno data in altra vicino alla reception attaccati alla loro porta e all’ascensore e quindi rumore sempre.. ma nella fase di chiusura del conto prima di partire si sono scusati. Fa piacere riconoscere i sbagli però peccato arrivare a questo, anche perché è un hotel meraviglioso con personale estremamente gentile e professionale.

Pokój który mieliśmy zarezerwowany niestety miał w środku dość dziwny zapach. Zgłosiliśmy to obsłudze hotelu i nie było możliwości zamiany na pokój o tej samej kategorii więc zapewniono nam lepszej klasy pokój z tarasem i widokiem na morze. Nie ma co ukrywać ale ten pokój zapierał dech w piersiach, był taki cudowny. Śniadanie dość smaczne choć nie było to jedno z najlepszych hotelowych śniadań jakie zwykle jadam. Wszystko wszędzie bardzo czyste. Hotel ma świetne położenie.

O hotel é lindo e muito limpo, porém o telefone e a TV do quarto não funcionavam. Depois de pedir várias vezes para consertaram e não ser atendida, desisti. Outro ponto importante e negativo, o hotel cobra para levarem as malas do porto até o hotel, porém em momento algum falaram que este serviço seria pago. Me senti enganada.

Da falta de transferência em relação ao serviço de transporte das malas do porto-hotel-porto.

Food and drink was incredible. Pool was spectacular and the view is stunning. Peaceful, clean place to enjoy Capri.

Das Badezimmer hat leider Stunken

I stayed at Hotel Mamela in July 2025 for my 50th birthday, expecting a special and memorable experience for my family. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve ever had despite spending nearly €10,000 there for the week. The room was not properly cleaned on arrival, there was a used shower cap hanging in the bathroom, the sink was blocked and emitted a foul smell, and we had to repeatedly ask for basic essentials such as toilet paper, soap, and bathrobes. The water pressure in the shower was so poor that it only worked properly on a few days of our stay. Despite raising these issues several times, management offered little help, no gesture, no apology, nothing. To make matters worse, the hotel incorrectly charged me for an “extra person” even though there was absolutely no additional guest staying in the room. I raised this issue and was assured it would be corrected, but it never was. After many emails, the hotel finally apologized and promised a €600 refund as a goodwill gesture. I provided all requested bank details immediately, yet months later, no refund has ever been paid. For a property positioning itself as a luxury hotel, this level of service and lack of accountability is unacceptable. It’s not just about the money; it’s about integrity, honesty, and respect for guests. I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking here. There are many other hotels in Capri that truly understand what hospitality means, sadly, this is not one of them.

Exceptional common areas, including pool, pool lounge space, restaurant, views, etc. The hotel team was very professional, considerate, and helpful.

Hot water was not very warm first 3 nights could not take a bath. Some noises outside room, bathrobes were advertised in booking but were missing in both rooms, air conditioner did not work well in kids room. We had a deluxe suite room was nice but on ground floor would have preferred a higher floor for the cost of the room.

Ho cambiato stanza tre volte. Mon funzionava aria condizionata ne’ telefono. Nella seconda c’era ra odore in bagno. Nella terza di nuovo telefono scollegato e l’aspiratore del bagno non funzionava. Poca sollecitudine nell’intervenire e risolvere i problemi. Scarse scuse da parte delle addette alla reception. Gentile e comprensivo il signor Francesco che ha riconosciuto i disagi. Prezzo eccessivo per uello che offre e servizio carente come anche il personale. Molto delusa.

The hotel was truly beautiful, rooms, pool and restaurant but really made the difference is the incredible staff and services. We really felt at home and loved it so much that we came back after 3 weeks for a shorter stay!

Super basic and disappointing breakfast Staff terrible! Lazy, rude, forgetful, often completing a request hours later after chasing up, if not then not at all Incompetent with bookings for departure ferry by booking wrong ferry and taking us to wrong port and luggage at the wrong place Room cleaning way sloppy and lazy. Didn’t pick things up or vaccum or even change sheets some nights. Only one Indian man on the night shift was helpful and polite. The rest rude and incompetent or inconsiderate and would never go out there way to help you on your stay. They couldn’t care less to help with logistics correctly or help with simple requests Great hotel but staff and service really disappointed us

This was our first time visiting Capri and after a lot of research we chose Hotel Mamela for our four night stay. Breakfast is included with the rate and it is an excellent breakfast. The rooms are spacious and the hotel quite charming. The staff is excellent as well. All of the outlets in the hotel are Italy Type L. Walking out of the hotel you are not far from the central pizzaa, shops and restaurants. If you are staying at Hotel Mamela please note it is a ten minute walk from where the taxi will drop you off. As it can be quite hilly you may want to enquire about their baggage service, though to take the taxi back to the port you do have to walk the ten minutes with your bags. We would definitely stay here again!

The lift was slow

Hotel is great. Nice rooms and common areas. BUT, two issues that they actually have to resolve: 1. WiFi: is straight up doesn’t work. We went two days without WiFi 2. Hot water: water is warm at best, but doesn’t not get hot Those issues really need to be fixed. Unacceptable for a nice hotel to have no WiFi or hot water.

I love this hotel. It was perfect in every way for our needs. More like a five star than four. It was last on a quiet lane away from the hustle bustle yet easy walking distance to everything. They were very nice at the front desk and were happy to make recommendations and reservations for dinner. It’s a beautiful hotel- marble everywhere- but in a new fresh new look. Infinity edge pool is divine, looking at the sea. Breakfast was good but no ordering eggs Benedict in addition to the buffet without separate charges. The croissants were the best we’ve had so far. The bathroom was not huge but there was space enough on the vanity and the shower was spacious with a window. I requested down pillows- they were soft. Only complaint is that the air conditioning was not easy to figure out and not very efficient or quiet, but that would not stop me from coming back. It’s kind of a young hip crowd so they play club sounding music in the afternoons at the pool, but it’s not bothersome.. Be aware they chase people away from the pool at 7pm

We have stayed here 3x over the last 3 years. Overall, this is a wonderful hotel. Rooms are beautiful. Pool is amazing. Staff is great. It’s a perfect location to be in the center of Capri but not immediately in all the action. A short 2 minute walk will get you to all the shops and restaurants. Our only complaint is that year after year, the breakfast is really bad. It’s easily the worst breakfast we’ve had in Europe. They should really invest in improving this. Unless you only eat pastries, you’ll be left hungry.
