Rohanou Beach Resort

Das Zimmer war Top. Ein wunderschöner Balkon. Personal sehr Freundlich, Essen sehr gut. Tauchen sehr schön, Tauchbasis TOP. Viele Optionen zum Tauchen. (Hausriff, Zodiac, Speedboot, Drifts, Tagesboot, ...) Das Hotel ist sehr angenehm und ruhig, keine Animationen etc.

Der Kaffee ist fürchterlich. Ich weiss nicht wie sie es schaffen, da Sie eine sehr gute Kaffeemaschine haben, aber der Kaffee ist nicht geniessbar. Was ich persönlich nicht mag, dass die meisten Sonnenliegen am Pool dauerhaft Belegt sind. Auch das Personal Reserviert die Liegen den ganzen Tag mit Handtüchern für spezielle Gäste. Aber es gibt auch viele Gäste die genau dies erwarten.

Notre chambre était assez sombre, une vue médiocre sur une petite court… Un frigo très bruyant. La nourriture n’est pas excellente, mais correct malgré tout.

Breakfast super, Location ok, Dinner ok. Our room no outside seatings. WiFi in the room very bad. otherwise every thing ok. Beach facilities could be better.

Authentiek Egyptisch resort zonder poespas met fijne duikschool. Mooi huisrif. Fantastisch eten zowel ontbijt als lunch en diner! Aardig personeel.

Spa beter laten aansluiten bij de juiste prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.

L'esprit non hotel. On a l'impression d'être dans un village. Au bord de la mer, le pontons, le superbe centre de plongée au sein de l'établissement. Bien entretenu. Le buffet du samedi soir.

Le bruit des moteurs de ventilation à l'extérieur. Les coupures de courant à répétition, le manque d'isolation entre les chambres. Les robinetterie dans les salles de bains sont rouillé. Le directeur fait régné un climat de peur envers sont personnels.

Die Tauchbasis Ducks Diving Quesier ist wirklich klasse und liegt direkt an einem wunderschönen Riff. Das dazugehörige Hotel Rohanou Beach Resort liegt direkt dran, mitten in der Wüste, fast zwei Stunden Fahrt durchs felsige Nirgendwo vom nächsten Flughafen Hurghada entfernt. Es gibt einen Fahrservice vom Hotel, das kostet aber extra. Die abgeschiedene Lage hat aber den Vorteil, dass man von Taschendieben und aufdringlichen Nippes-Verkäufer verschont bleibt. Wenn man sein Handy irgendwo liegen lässt wird es einem ins Zimmer hinterher gebracht. Die Zimmer sind inklusive reichhaltigem Frühstücks- Mittags-und Abendbuffet nicht teuer, sauber und ordentlich ausgestattet. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Servicepersonal, das einem stets das Gefühl gegeben hat, der eine, ganz besondere Gast zu sein.

WLAN gab es nur im Restaurant.

L'hôtel est très sympa, on a passé 4 nuits ici avec nos 3 enfants en demi-pension. On a beaucoup apprécié la piscine et le restaurant. Le petit déjeuner est super et les plats du dîner étaient toujours bons et variés. Pour midi, on peut aussi commander des plats plus simples à des prix intéressants. Le personnel est très sympa et accueillant. Le récif corralien dans la baie où est l'hôtel est exceptionnel pour de la plongée ou du snorkelling. Le club de plongée offre aussi beaucoup de possibilités avec des guides et moniteurs super sympa. On a passé un excellent séjour et on y retournera avec un grand plaisir.

Really loved it there.

I was there for 3 nights with two others. The resort was beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. It’s pretty much just the resort in this area. And this was fine by me. We stayed in a spacious suite with a queen bed, a double bed, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen/sitting area. Our room had a fridge and kettle. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable but on the softer side. It’s right on the Red Sea. I knew from previous reviews that there is no swimming in the sea from the beach due to the coral. But we went there for the snorkeling along the reef (access from the end of the pier) and it did not disappoint. I brought my own snorkeling gear so there was no extra cost for myself. One in my group rented equipment from the diving shop for 10euros a day. The reef and fish were stunning. We were out every day, 2 days we had to wait for the wind and waves to calm before entering but it was never so bad that we had to lose a day. Though we were not a part of the diving groups, the diving staff on the pier were friendly and helpful with any questions. We had half board - breakfast and dinner. We loved the food. We had three dinners and each was different. Duck, veal, and chicken were each served on a different night along with many other choices. The kefta they served one night was wonderful. Staff were great, ready to help. I had expected pressure to tip but not one person asked. There was a tip box at the kitchen, bar, and reception. We put tips in there. We made the mistake of thinking the box at the bar was for all the servers but we were told on the last morning it’s for the staff at the bar. As multiple servers help during a meal, aside from giving something to every person, I’m not sure there was a way to tip them as a group.

The only challenge we encountered was on departure we had booked a pick up ride through InDrive (one in my party frequently uses this) and the resort did not want us to leave with this service/driver. We eventually had to sign a waiver saying the resort would bear no responsibility should something happen. The resort does book shuttle service and it seems like they might recognize uber (but uber was harder to arrange transport to this area). Maybe discuss with the resort ahead of time if pick up arrangements are made independently.

Nice place for snorkling. The ecological approach. The peace and quiet.

Wi-Fi only at reception and in the restaurant, and often unstable. No German TV channels (if you are travelling alone, you sometimes want to watch something). Drinks also only in the restaurant and not in the lobby, where you often sit because of the WLAN. It is better to have an Egyptian sim card.

Food was bad and they tey to charge you things that are included in the all inclusive like soda water they tried!

The beauty of the Red Sea was the best part of our stay. The coral was fantastic, colourful and full of life. I have been to different parts of Marsa Alam and I can assure you that the diving and snorkelling at Rohanou is the best so far. My husband was fascinated with the night diving. The staff were a bit lost, but I think it could be attributed to a lack of training. In general they are helpful and have done what they think is the best.

After read all the good previous reviews and decided to stay at Rohanou, I felt really disappointed. I couldn't say that Rohanou is a 4 stars resort, compared with all the other resorts that we have been at Marsa Alam. The price is very high for what the resort is offering. They have the best spot at the Red Sea, but the management is very poor. I felt in a abandoned place, it seems that nobody cares for the maintenance of the property. My room size was ok, but the bed was soft, my husband had to sleep the last night in the floor because of his back. The TV as so small, we don't watch TV while in holiday, but some people do. The food was ok, but cold. The temperature wasn't controlled what can be a risk for the health. There were a cute dog and cat, but if nobody cares they shouldn't be there. They were desperate for food and pooh in the beach. They are using only one restaurant, the amazing one was closed. Another think that for me doesn't make any sense is that they are considered Ecolodge. The only ecolodge think that they use is a natural soap for shower. In contrast they have plastic bottle as cigarette bin in the beach. I think they just pretending to save energy and water because of money not to save the planet. I'm very disappointed with my stayed at Rohanou, it's very expensive for what they are offering. They have a amazing place, but is not well cared and managed. With the money received, they could invest in a better maintenance, food quality and training for they staff with no experience. Hope one day someone with open mind can transform that place. That's a very transparent and real review.

The room was quiet and cool and the bed was comfortable. The buffets were plentiful.

Food was average and I was paying twice as much for half board as people were paying for all inclusive. Shocking. Will not be using booking.com again as complete rip off
