Great location, amazing friendly staff

Nothing, but we decided the room was a little too small for two for a month-long stay. The property has everything you need, and all the staff are super helpful, friendly and lovely.

I felt very comfortable and cared for here. I was welcomed with a delicious plate of fresh fruit from the garden. A comfortable room on the ground floor with a view of a beautiful Rose bush. Very pretty garden with a huge Mango tree. Nice and quiet even though on a busy road. Easy walk to supermarket. A short Grab ride to Ancient City.

I didnt have to use the AC it is so breezy in the room. They have bug screens in the window & a window seat, I really enjoyed that. The couple is nice, sociable and helpful. The property is full of flowers and a beautiful rose tree. The room is clean. Cua Dai beach is less than 10 minutes away.

Super liebe Gastgeberin, hab mich hier schnell wohlgefühlt und wäre gerne länger geblieben.

Es gab ein paar Ameisen im Zimmer, was ich aber nicht so schlimm fand.

La vue depuis le balcon donnant sur les riziéres , une petite rue calme passe derriére la maison pour se balader en vélo à travers la Nature bien fleurie durant le Têt Une chambre simple , propre et tout y est. Frigo , bouilloire, eau à disposition.....au premier étage. Et la gentillesse de Chung et son mari toujours pour rendre service . Magnifique séjour à petit prix. Merci

Such a lovely friendly host, every care taken for your comfort. The room is serviced daily, comfy bed. The location is perfect for exploring the area and every inch of the place is a gardeners dream.

The host family are the most wonderful Vietnamese people, always there to help with information, transport where to go, anything, just perfect they offer a laundry service, clean room everyday, offer a breakfast menu. Just makes your stay so comfortable.thank you

Agregamos 2 noches a último momento y luego un late check out. El desayuno es RIQUÍSIMO, con las frutas de su propio jardín y los huevos de sus gallinas. Muchos detalles: bicicletas, espuma para baño de inmersión y mas. La cama es magica, te atrapa.

Que habíamos entendido por las fotos que tenía vista a los arrozales del fondo y al estar en planta baja hay un cerco. Pero todo lo bueno enseguida compensó ese detalle.

Our stay was wonderful! The place is great, right next to some rice fields. It’s perfect if you wanna stay away from the hustle of the city. You also have free bikes and we loved to explore Hoi an by riding around. The host is lovely, she was very helpful and kind. If we will come back to Hoi An we will definitely choose this place again.

The couple taking care of the homestay are really nice and helpful. The location ks in between the beach and the old town, you can easily bike to both of them!

Stayed here 5 years ago and nothing has changed! Chung & her husband are very friendly and helpful sorting out motorbike rental, taxi and recommendations with a single text. Always feels like a second home in Hoi An

The best stay we've had in all of Vietnam! We were greeted with a welcome drink, found free water in the room, and a map that helped us get around in the surrounding area. Our host Chung gave us a free room upgrade to a room with a balcony and we loved every bit of it. We stayed for 4 nights, got daily room service (a first for us in Vietnam) without even asking for it. And the room was absolutely SPOTLESS. You could have eaten off the floor. Chung was available for us at any time, literally replying to messages within minutes, helping us with all kinds of things and going over and above to ensure that we have a pleasant stay. She is incredibly kind and caring, showed an interest in us and just made us feel so welcome. It also needs to be said that she makes a killer banana pancake for breakfast! The location itself was perfect for us, right next to the river and kind of between the beach and the Old Town. An hour's walk to the main area in the Old Town or an 8 mins Grab, and 25 mins walk to the stunning beach. We are so glad we didn't stay in town - it is craaazy busy. We truly appreciated our peaceful stay and chilling out on the balcony. We were also provided with bikes free of charge, it's so easy to get around. At the end, Chung arranged a taxi transfer to Da Nang Airport for us for 300k which was quite a lot cheaper than a Grab. Thanks for everything Chung!

A very comfortable bed. Most beds in Vietnam I find too hard for me but this one was a ‘Goldilocks’ bed, - just right.

was told a tour was 300 000 per person but got charged 400 000 per person and washing was 25 000 per kilo but charged 30 000 per kilo also had room costing 527 000 and was rounded to 530 000 other then that everything was good owners lovely close enough to shops etc

Wonderful place! The staff is incredibly kind. We were greeted with a drink once we arrived and were given a map showing us where we can explore in Hoi An. The room was very spacious and clean. Room cleaning was done every day, and they replaced our towels every day, too. There's both air con and a fan in the room. The bathroom was one of the nicer ones I've had whilst travelling in vietnam. Fairly large and super clean. There was a wet shower, but the bathroom is big enough that the entire bathroom floor and toilet don't get wet whenever you take a shower. They were very helpful in helping us find a money exchange place as well as helping us book a bus to Ho Chi Minh. I really appreciated how quickly they respond on Booking as well! I asked about booking a bus, and they responded with all the options and pricing within a few minutes. There was also a bit of a mix-up (entirely our fault) where we thought items had been lost or stolen in the laundry, and they handled it with so much kindness and professionalism. When we later realized that we had misplaced the items, they were incredibly gracious about the entire situation.

I appreciated it, but you are a little bit away from the main downtown area. They do have free bicycles that you can use to get around, though!

The staff were lovely, let us check in early and really helped us out when we were scammed by a taxi. The room was nice and the bathroom was big and clean. We had housekeeping everyday which was a nice bonus. Free cycle bikes for rent which made the location more convenient

The room had lots of ants and a lizard in. Not too uncommon given the area and not too much of a big deal. The plug by the fridge didn’t work so we didn’t have access to a fridge even though there was one in the room. This didn’t bother us too much and I’d still recommend this place.

Lovely hosts - Chung will help you with anything. The area is halfway between oldtown and the beach so only 5-10 min bike/scooter ride both ways. They have free bicycles to use. Would definitely stay again whenever I’m back 🙌🏻

- The very welcoming and helpful host - Our room was bright with a huge double bed which was most comfortable and a balcony overlooking greenery and rice fields - Modern bathroom with excellent water pressure - Fresh white sheets and towels - Super clean - Daily housekeeping - Lots of space to hang and put away clothes and other belongings - Free bikes - we particularly enjoyed the countryside cycle to the vegetable village and the beach - The location is excellent - so quiet yet close enough to the main sights downtown

The area itself has alot of farms and this is a villa , inside the room is very clean , but as an opened villa between farms you would expect lizards and insects .

It was perfect, bed was comfortable. Chung truly made me feel at home, place is very well maintained & so cleaned! Such value for money, I love the patio right outside. Tranquil! Just the perfect place at the right time! Thank you Chung for going above and beyond! You are awesome! Will definitely come back when I visit Hoi An!

Place was lovely I have no complaints at all such good value and the people who run it are unreadably nice.

The best location- halfway between the most beautiful beach and the town. The sheets were clean, fresh and crisp. The garden was beautiful. The was no sound at night and the room was the perfect temperature. The place was great value for money and I will be back to visit and stay longer next time. This is a the best place we have stayed in Vietnam. The kindest hosts we have ever had- they went out of their way to help us book a bus. When the bus plans changed the host went into all the restaurants to try and find us a to let us know. Also great wifi!

Beautiful comfortable room and great breakfast!

Excellent value and well kept rooms and bathrooms. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly and let us use their bikes for free. They were very accommodating considering we booked so last minute. I would 100% recommend for a stay in Hoi An. The location is about 2.5km from the Old Town and the hustle and bustle. You can take a cycle ride through the countryside and we saw lots of Buffalo along the Paddy Fields.

Thank you so much! Our stay was fantastic – the room was super clean and comfy. The location is spot on, a close bike ride to the beach and an easy bike ride to the old town. You can find many coffeeshops, restaurants and spas walking distance. Breakfast every morning was delicious. Everyone on the family is so nice. 10/10 hospitality! Also, you should ask for her sister’s embroidery, she made me an amazing shirt!! We are so grateful.

I really loved my time there, it was great to rest and the place is peaceful and comfortable and has a beautiful garden! The hostess is wonderful, everything I needed she and her husband kindly organized for me.She helped me a lot with my transport logistics to my next destination. It was a quieter part of town, away from the busy old area. Nice rooms with air con, comfy bed, great breakfast and the owner was so helpful. Definitely recommend.

The room was very spacious, with a private bathroom and shower included, and a small refrigerator. It was cleaned every day, and the air conditioner and fan worked perfectly. The accommodation is far from downtown, so it's very calm. But they also provide bikes so you can go downtown anytime or to the beach, and there's also a lot of coffee shops and restaurants to eat nearby. The owner wad super nice, she helped me with my tours and information about Vietnamese culture. I'm really happy with the stay, and would definitely stay here again if I go back to Hoi An.

Wonderful ownership. Extremely courteous and amenable when asked. The property is beautiful, with a garden and dinner/seating area in the front. Rooms are effectively hotel quality while you feel like you’re living at someone’s home. Locations is fantastic between old city and beach.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay that is outside of the old town of Hoi An for some peace and quiet, then do not hesitate in making a booking at the Do River Homestay. A beautiful homestay that is incredible value for money, owned by a lovely family that make you feel very welcome. The double room was exceptionally clean, alongside a large and well maintained shower. Behind the homestay you will find stunning rice fields where you can ride a bicycle at your own leisure, or go for an evening walk as you admire the beautiful sunset. I will definitely be back here when I return to Hoi An.

The family was so kind to me, I felt like a home away from home. They gave me a bike and motor bike to use for free! The house has a huge botanical garden full of flowers.

Clean room, very comfortable, soft bed, very welcoming and helpful host, cozy garden, peace and quiet. All was great, really. Considering how loud and crowded Hoi An town has gotten in last years, i was sooo happy to stay here, far enough from the city commotion, yet close enough to get downtown in 10mins!

Breakfast was so yummy!!!! The Homestay is on the main road so easy to move to the beach, old city and other nice places . Although it is 3km from the old city but they provide free bicycle. The owner was so friendly and kind ! The homestay so nice with many trees and nice flowers around ! My room is at the 1st floor so quiet and spacious ! I slept so well ! Thank you for making my holiday wonderful! Definitely come back and recommend!!!

This is a comfortable homey place. Mrs. Chung and her family were the best hosts we ever encountered. She made our stay in hoi an so much better than it would have ever been. Arranged for us transport, recommendations and tips on places and navigating around. The warm welcome and level of care easily surpass any luxury hotel facility.

Owners were extremely helpful. They definitely went above and beyond serving us. I injured my ankle and they motorbikes me to a doctor they recommended. Supplied ice to bring down swelling room was large. Would return there

The location of the homestay is halfway between the beach and the old town so very convenient. Room was comfortable and clean with air conditioning and a balcony view of rice fields. We loved staying here - it was a short bike ride away to town, had a great view of a river and rice fields, and had the most amazing breakfasts (my boyfriend couldn't stop raving about the omelette)! Loved being able to hop on a bike and explore Hoi An - was a highlight of our trip to Asia. The hosts are also super accommodating, providing us with recommendations for cooking classes, organizing a quick detour on our way to the airport to marble mountain, and renting a motorbike.

We were greeted by lovely family. They offered free bikes which were very useful to go around this small city. The host gave me useful recommendations about the places to visit. I have a great time here and thoroughly recommend this home stay to anyone.

Do River was a fine stay. I arrived late off of the night train from Nha Trang & then took the 30 minute taxi ride to Hoi An from Da Nang. Due to the name the driver had issues finding the place, but I eventually arrived there safely. I thankfully called on the way to inform them that I was still coming & when I got there the woman waiting for me around 11:35 pm that night said she didn't even know I was coming, although I had booked in advance through the Expedia app. My room on the first floor had a lot of spiders & ants, like a lot! The room appeared clean & typically I don't stay on the first floor at places, but by then it was so late I just wanted to sleep. I tried to clean up & get rid of as my insects as possible, but did have trouble sleeping that night! The next morning I was up & out early, after enjoying a nice omlet breakfast at the Homestay & properly checking-in. They provide free bikes & helpful maps which is so awesome & the staff/family is friendly helping answer any questions. Turn left & ride to 1 of the 2 great beaches, or turn right & head into town. When it was time to check-out they kindly held my bags & allowed me to shower in their home once I returned from the beach. They arranged for myself & a couple a nice black car to Da Nang, we shared it & split the cost so public transportation wasn't need-it was much more comfortable. I still saw ants & spiders in the room after the first night, but not nearly as many! All in all it was a pretty nice stay!
