Owners were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to make us feel comfortable.

Outside was a bit dated. It you wouldn’t think when your inside. Very clean and modern

very comfortable, arrived a hour before our booking and our room was ready to go, they even turned the spa on for us early and gave us restaurant recommendations

Fantastic place for a couple’s get away. Great consideration of everything we will need, warm and spacious. The shower is unreal! Water pressure is so great hardly any place can match it.

Les lits confortables. Tout est fait pour qu'on se sente bien. C'était agréable calme et reposant. Le plus : un jaccuzzi.

Spacious, clean bedroom, kitchen, dining and lounge area. The hot tub was a fabulous plus, soaking after a day up the snowy mountain. The apartment is serviced daily so you come back to a warm place with clean towels and linen. A very cute and friendly ginger cat also entertained the kids! Will be sorely missed when we travel back to Auckland. Reception was very warm and welcoming giving us tips and recommendations that we weren’t aware of despite coming to Ohakune a few times in the past. Discovering this hidden gem was a great find. Will definitely be back here again!

Awesome place, 5 minutes from town. Would definitely stay here again.

Apartment was very comfortable, kitchen well equiped for any length of stay. Well heated during cold winter nights. Love this place will definitely be booking this place again when visiting. Owners gave excellent recommendations for dinning and guided us of best times to go to the mountain.

We had a wonderful stay at Ohakune Motel. The room has been tastfully renovated and the shower was fantastic, such a nice bonus after a long day of driving. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it.

Excellent - perfect location to Ohakune townsite. Easy walk in to all the local restaurants, bars and shops! Check in was really easy and the owner very helpful and friendly. Great size room and very clean. Definitely recommend.

Our unit was spotlessly clean and tidy with all you would need ina wee kitchen. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Very pleasant and welcoming staff who happily shared information about Ohakune village and cafes.

Located about 450m walk from central Ohakune township, it's a lovely motel with friendly owners. All modern units with free onsite parking, sky, there is also a hotpool on site, drying room, and each unit has an outside table and chairs to relax in. Provided is free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and fresh milk. Also provided is free shampoo, conditioner, soap etc for your use.

Unfortunately, there's no air con in rooms, but a standing fan is provided. Suggest you ask for the end room closest to Moore St. as there is a little road noise from heavy trucks using the main highway in the other end unit. But, being in that other end unit, noise wasn't loud enough to disturb our rest.

A fantastic place to stay whilst we were in Ohakune for the night. Much bigger than I thought. Spotlessly clean, newly refurbished with lovely touches. Well equipped with everything you would need. Property located at a quite corner and only 3 mins walk to the tourist info and New World supermarket, then the restaurants, bars, stores like bike/ski hiring, indoor mountain climbing etc. Room is sparkling clean, kitchen wares are shining, bed and pillows are super comfortable, skylight window is unique, a pair of single seat sofa and three chairs dinning table make my staying relaxed and enjoyable. Super friendly and generous manager took care of all my needs quickly.

Stayed in the family apartment. Spacious, comfortable and warm. Has everything you need and more. Spa pool was just outside the door, such a lovely treat after visiting the ski resorts.

The motel is quite close to the main road through Ohakune so there is significant truck traffic and some engine noise.

We had a lovely stay in Ohakune at the Ohakune Central Motel. The room was very large, the bed was comfy and we loved the sky light and tall ceiling. Everything we could have wanted and more!

Completely updated tastefully. The room was large, vaulted ceiling over the bedroom, comfy chairs, large bathroom. Beautiful river walk nearby. Friendly, helpful owner and staff.

Lovely motel, looks older from the outside but has been refurbished inside and is a very comfortable space. Comfortable bed and good shower. Great kitchen with everything you would need.

It felt very clean and safe. All well looked after and shower was great. Had a nice view to the mountain 👍

TV didn’t work

10/10 for absolutely everything! First things first, Denis, our host was absolutely fantastic and accommodating for us to check in late so we can enjoy the lovely weather. He also gave us really good trail recommendations since our plans to do the Crossing have been cancelled. The room itself was big, clean, comfortable with a huge bed and new facilities in the bathroom and kitchen. The shower was a delight! And to top everything, there is a hot tub to enjoy after a long day of hiking. Best place in NZ so far.

Just a small thing considering how comfortable we were in the unit really & that was for both of us we found with the shower (after getting it to good temperature) the water kept going from scalding hot to freezing cold constantly. Needless to say we both ended up having 'very' quick showers, lol.

The room was very spacious with a lovely high ceiling. very well lit, clean and warm. All modern appliances, fixtures and fittings. It’s in a great location, everything in Ohakune is within walking distance, and just a quick drive to Turoa. Also, the manager was very helpful and friendly.

The place was big and tidy. There was a real attention to detail, you feel welcome. It's also perfectly located, only a few minutes away from the tourist info centre and supermarket.

Super convenient and really comfy, had everything we needed. Dry room was an awesome thing to have after a day up the mountain! Will be back next snow season for sure

Excellent placeI recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel, and I must say, it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The highlight of my visit was definitely the room with a stunning mountain view. Waking up to such a beautiful sight was truly refreshing. The room itself was spacious, well-maintained, and immaculately tidy, providing a perfect blend of comfort and cleanliness. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and memorable experience. The combination of the great staff, the beautiful view, and the superb room made my visit truly exceptional.

We arrived at Ohakune Railway Station and looked at our transport options which were very limited. We called the accommodation to ask for advice and the owner - Denis - said he would be right over to pick us up - how kind. The room was just lovely and had a kitchenette so we could cater for ourselves. The motel had a hot tub which we used on both nights of our stay - just great. Ohakune was a great little town and we enjoyed our stop off here very much.

There was nothing to fault.

Don't be put off by the outside appearance when you first arrive - the unit itself was brilliant - clean, well appointed and the vaulted ceiling gives a feeling of spaciousness. Great location (next to the Police Station) and handy to all the town has to offer.
