I liked that the property was really close to the train station and there were so many grocery and food stores near by.

Just having to wait until 1pm to avoid the early check in fee of $55.

The restaurant was closed at night for no reason

The hotel is beautiful, clean and very modern. It's a great location with beautiful windows and very quiet. The kids had a blast.

A few maintenance people keyed into our room shortly after we got in. They didn't even knock. Everyone was confused. They apologized and left. The front desk people great and apologized without me bringing it up, so I guess it was reported. If my husband hadn't been there or if I were traveling alone for work, I would've moved hotels.

I didnt like the fact i was with my girl and im the one who booked the room but they asked for her id also when i seen a family of 5 getting booked in and the father was the only one asked for a id make it make sense.

Amazing Clean the BEST STAFF EVER especially Yousef!! Everyone great , easy accessible from JFK AIR TRAIN - A train to local train( R, N) comfort great view of manhattan from 7 th floor! Modern and clean . Best part arrived from walking at it was very hot and I was tired from traveling. They had fresh made lemonade and homemade chocolate at the entrance with the smiling happy face of Yousef … it only got better from there.. he got us the room with the best view!!

Yousef was a wonderful person. He welcomed us very warmly, and it was a pleasure interacting with him. I believe he plays a major role in the hotel's hospitality—after all, the first impression of a hotel begins at the reception.

The location is excellent for lower BK. It's a short walk to the amazing Industry City area, where a convention we were working took place. The 36th St subway stop is even closer, letting you head uptown into Manhattan easily. There are plenty of food options nearby, and Sunset Park offers great people watching. The rooms were comfortable and have an interesting style with a large funky headboard, colorful autumnal wallpaper, and tiled shower floors. Guests should know that the bathroom (at least the one in our king bed unit) has a frosted glass wall, which does show your vague silhouette to anyone on the other side. Not an issue for us, but it could be awkward for some people. Big shout out to Youcef, who was working the front desk for much of our trip! He is extremely attentive and is a positive, upbeat presence -- always willing to make guests comfortable or offer suggestions. I wouldn't have gone out of my way to review this place if not for him. Give this guy a raise.

We stayed at Wyndham Garden Brooklyn Sunset Park from July 28–29, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We arrived around 8:00 PM, even though the standard check-in time is 3:00 PM, but the room was clearly not cleaned properly. There were hairs all over the chair, floor, and bathroom, which was very unhygienic. The toilet was already clogged when we entered the room, with tissues stuck inside. Maintenance came and fixed it, but after using it just once, it clogged again. This happened a total of three times during our stay, making it extremely inconvenient. To make matters worse, we found a pair of ladies’ footwear left behind in one of the drawers, which further showed that the room had not been properly inspected before being assigned to us. When we reported these issues, the front desk staff apologized and initially offered to have the room cleaned. We requested a room change, but were told the hotel was fully booked. The receptionist did try to make up for the inconvenience by giving my child a small coloring book and snack, a complimentary continental breakfast (which wasn’t particularly worthwhile), and a bottle of water. While I appreciate the gesture, it doesn’t make up for the poor hygiene and repeated maintenance issues. We chose this hotel based on its Google reviews, but our experience was nowhere close to what we expected. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this property based on our stay.

Had a great stay! Youcef at the front desk was especially helpful and offered great recommendations for the neighborhood.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is very well connected, making it easy to get around Brooklyn and the rest of New York. Our room was very comfortable, especially the beds, which were perfect after long days of sightseeing. Housekeeping did an excellent job and cleaned the room frequently, which we really appreciated. The breakfast was nice and offered a good selection, although we would have liked to see more savory options. Finally, we would like to thank the lobby staff, who were always friendly and welcoming. A special mention goes to Youcef, who was always happy to listen to our adventures from the day and made us feel truly welcome. He provided outstanding service throughout our stay and really made our experience even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel!

Youcef was the best. He made check-in a breeze and was very helpful with directions to the Bayridge neighborhood for my culinary field trip. I didn't even get lost, and I always get lost in NYC. Thanks for everything. I will definitely recommend this location.

The breakfast wasn’t great for the price. Definitely go to the diner up the street for amazing breakfast and good prices. Our AC unit didn’t work well but the staff provided a fan and tried to get it operating as best they could. In the end, our unit just has an issue but the fan made the room cool! I didnt like the way management help the staff members on sight. They could have used more direction.

The front desk employees were very friendly and helpful. They suggested a good place for dinner, a good place to wander and shop. As I left, they found me a cab and helped me with my stored baggage.

I wasn't fond of the pillows and bed linens, they were too flimsy. Also, no luggage rack. I had to heave my large bag onto the desk in the room.

Nice hotel in a good area. Close to metro and several restaurants. Staff is friendly. Nice cafe on site. Onsite parking also.

My husband and I are from N. Carolina. We came to Brooklyn NY for my son’s wedding. We had a wonderful experience at Wyndham Garden Brooklyn Sunset Park. Chris at the front desk gave helpful ides of places to eat and shop at. He also helped us check in earlier and we were able to get a parking spot at the hotel. Thank you Chris!!

I have been staying at this hotel since 2022 when available. My family attended a graduation this past June. The hotel was amazing and the staff was helpful, friendly and remembered us from previous stays. The hotel is located near the train station and has great food choices and local restaurants in the area that have become some of my favorites when in Sunset Park. My room was clean and for the area the noise level is ok, especially on the higher floors. With that being said I also lived in NYC for several years an my tolerance for city noise it high LOL. Special shout out to Elias and Youcef they have been employed at this hotel for several years and I have experienced their customer service first hand, this visit was no exception. They met all of our needs, checked in with us in the lobby to make sure our stay was exceptional. The other reason I stay in this hotel is the safety, I a single female. They check to make sure that every person that walks into the lobby is staying at the hotel or has business there. Other staff even asked for my room number and key to ensure that I belonged there. For some this may be offensive, but for me as a customer, I appreciate that someone is looking out for my safety and security and that means the world to me when traveling. Thanks to all the staff at Wyndham Brooklyn, Sunset. I will always choose this hotel first when coming to NYC Brooklyn!

What I enjoyed about the property is how friendly the staff are. Youcef and staff are super nice and made me feel welcomed each and every time I walked by! I felt like at home. There was always a topic of conversation, it felt like a natural friendship. 5 stars for the entire facility!

I have just returned from this hotel, when we checked in we were asked to pay a $250 security deposit on the room and I was told this would be refunded 3-5 business days after check out, I am now at 7 business days and still no money returned I have contacted them via email but no reply and still not deposit returned. It is looking like a scam and would warn others of this

The hotel itself is in a decent location and a subway station is a few blocks away. The staff was nice. The property itself is dirty and needs a thorough deep cleaning. The first room we were in had stains all over the wall and floors, when going to speak with the front desk they tried to convince me it was a part of the wall design, which we both knew wasn’t true especially after looking at the attached pictures. The second room we were moved to was no better, it still had stains on the wall and the bed seemed to be falling apart. The mini fridge didn’t stay cold. Overall it was a terrible experience but everything else was booked due to it being so many events going on this weekend so we had to stick it out. Also on the last night we were staying there we received a knock on our door around 9 pm but as I was walking to the door it was opening. Thankfully the door lock was on. There was a man there asking if we needed anything and saying he was just checking to see. Then he said he was housekeeping. Which one is it? We thought it was strange because he had no cart or anything with him.

I have stayed at the Wyndham several times. The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean. The location works for me. What made this visit special was Jay at the front desk. I usually travel with Booking.com, but this time I tried to save a few bucks and went with Priceline. When Jay figured out that Priceline and their local "partner" had screwed up my reservation (despite my having paid in advance), he got on the phone with them, schooled them on what they'd done wrong, and walked them through what they needed to do to fix it. Jay saved the day! Thank you, Jay!

There’s nothing I didn’t dislike. I enjoyed my stay.

Every employee at this hotel is a rock star! Someone is always at the front desk to say hello, give info, or ask about your time in the city. We arrived two hours early and were greeted warmly. They allowed us to store our luggage, gave recommendations for eating, and inquired about our stay. The room was smaller than pictured, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. Everything was clean and neat. We had a big window to see out to the city. The bed was very comfortable and shower pressure was strong. Towels and linens were clean. The hotel smelled good. There was a small business center with two computers and a copier. Ice machine on the second floor. The decor is a bit unusual with a headboard that stretches up and over the bed and wall paper that looked like bubbles, but I don’t care about that. The entire hotel was clean and comfortable. Easy 3+ block walk to the subway with bodegas and a McDonald’s along the walk. We felt very safe in the neighborhood. And again, the staff was amazing! Small cafe/bar, but we did not utilize this.

Stayed from Thursday to Saturday. Asked for my room to be cleaned 3 times. Wasn’t cleaned once during my stay. Asked for spoons (I had icecream) and towels the last night. They never came. They said “we went to the wrong room.” Ok so you just stop trying because you forgot the room? Then said “we don’t deliver spoons.” Ok then tell me that. I ain’t lazy. I’ll go down and get it myself (which I did) but don’t tell me you’re coming then blame it on forgetting the room number. Holy incompetence. Manager blaming everyone else when that’s your employees. Other than that, hotel was ok. Could’ve been better if I didn’t have to reuse the same towel 2 days in a row or have to go get everything myself. Worst customer service from a hotel. Can’t believe they made that many excuses for their own mistakes and laziness.

I was preparing a birthday surprise for my girlfriend and from the moment I walked in, I was met with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. I needed some help setting up the room, and Elias, the engineer on site, went above and beyond to make sure everything came together smoothly. The setup took much longer than I expected, but his patience and great conversation made the time fly by. Beyond Elias, the entire staff was incredibly efficient and welcoming throughout my stay. They made me feel like my time and effort mattered, which made an already special occasion even more memorable. Thank you all for helping make my girlfriend's birthday surprise a success!

First, the positive side of our stay: this was due to the hotel’s reception staff, who were consistently friendly and attentive toward us, regardless of their shift. The housekeeping team was also very kind and accommodating. We would like to take this opportunity to once again send our regards to the entire team.

What overshadowed our stay the most was an incident involving the safe in our hotel room. One evening, despite entering the correct code, the safe would not open. We had not forgotten the code, contrary to what the Front Desk Manager claimed on site. During all subsequent attempts to open the safe by hotel staff — including the receptionist, the maintenance technician — using a master key or by connecting it to an electronic device, were unsuccessful. In the absence of a master code, which surprisingly they did not posses, the safe could only be opened mechanically using a saw. Before this, we had pointed out that our valuables, documents, and medication were inside. We were told that this was not the first time such an incident had occurred and that the maintenance technician had experience dealing with it. After the safe was cut open we discovered that the sparks resulted during the sawing process partially burned the medical certificate accompanying the medication, along with the surface of our wallet and our AirPods cases, which were also partially damaged. Luckily our passports were stored in a separate plastic sleeve and were therefore unaffected. It was disappointing to see how casually and lightly the Front Desk Manager viewed the entire situation. He tried to offer us a breakfast voucher as a so called “compensation”, which we turned down, because it wouldn’t have helped us at all. We also found the maintenance technician’s statement—that the master code had unexpectedly not worked—to be unprofessional, as was the overall handling of the situation. We had travelled from Europe to the United States. Had the passports also been damaged, our return journey could have been significantly complicated and could have resulted in additional financial costs and loss of time.

Am not normally one for leaving a review but I felt I had to. We are a family of 6 currently staying here and cannot recommend this hotel enough. Yusef at reception is so lovely and welcoming and remembers everyone’s name. Josh at the bar is great and also the night porter (sorry can’t remember his name). They are always smiling and welcoming. It’s a 5 minute walk to the subway which takes you straight into manhattan. Loads of shops & restaurants close by. Really enjoyed our stay here

The room,even though it was smallish, it was comfortable. The bed and pillows were good. There was a fridge and a coffee maker. The paid parking on the premises was a plus. The 36th and 4th train station was within a few minutes' walk. The Mexican food around the hotel was yummy. It was close to Sunset Park. A shoutout to Youcef at the reception. He was very friendly and helpful. He always welcomes you with a big smile.

We stayed here for a trade show at Industry City. Super close walk to that location. Tons of great bodegas for food quick food options. But the highlight of our stay was Youcef behind the desk. He knew us by name and welcomed us back every evening with the brightest smile and genuine interest in how our day went and was sure to point us in the right direction for something to eat. Youcef, you’re a true gem and Wyndham is so lucky to have you representing their hotel.
