I have nothing to dislike except best not to book on match days unless your there for the match and of course it's across from the club

All was fine.

Doors to other rooms could have been fitted with dampening strips to reduce closing noise.

Handy location for where we were visiting. Pub was nice and large and food was good.

We were in a bedroom designed for a disabled person which for my husband of 6ft 6, bending to use the sink in the bathroom was quite challenging. The bed was quite uncomfortable as it seemed to have a very thin mattress.

Room was in need of some tlc , bath sealant was mouldy and grout on tiles filthy and hairs in bath. No shower gel in shower dispenser and was only left half a roll of toilet paper, general cleanliness could of been much better . Bed was very firm and just 2 singles pushed together

Been coming here for a number of years and it has been slowly declining but this visit was the worst to date toilet seat still hanging off has been for over five years now, desk lamp hanging in bits, black mould all around the bath, shower coming away from wall and to cap it all the net curtains where covered in black mould I don't know if these rooms ever get inspected but they definitely need it and a lot of updates needed as it's really shabby now. Not happy.

The accommodation was adequate for a single night. Only place to stay near Darwen so choice is limited.

Bathroom was tired & in need of a refresh - missing sealant round the bath & grubby in places. Check-in took a long time because you have to do it at the bar, which was busy & had only one person serving. Process would be quicker if you could check in online.

Great stay at the fernhurst over the Bank Holiday weekend! Good size room with a comfy bed and all the amenities you need! The pub is lovely too and serves great food! Will stay again!

Staff and location are perfect.

We have used this hotel a few times and it's looking really run down and not clean. Due to these issues I thing there are over charging for what they are offering.

The staff were helpful and polite. The food was well priced, tasty and presented nicely. They served a good pint of Guinness. The room was clean and comfortable.

Some attention needed to the grouting and sealant round the bath. Mould is starting to take hold. The carpet has some bad stains or burn marks making it look a bit tatty.

The location was good for where we were visiting.

It was mucky, run down, old bathroom with mould and fill of cobwebs.

Checking in is very efficient and quick, Room was quiet and spacious.

They never seem to have blended whiskey available, which is what I usually drink.

The bathroom toilet made a very loud noise when flushes and was all way through filling back up the doors outside was constantly slamming all night and window smashed extractor fan in bathroom was very loud

The food at dinner has to be sent back as it was cremated, the window in the room didn’t shut, the beer garden noise went on till 3:30am, the room was basic and the bathroom facilities needed a good scrub,

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to help us. I have to eat a Gluten free diet and there were plenty of choices. We had an early check out and asked if we could have a sandwich to go. They provided a fantastic breakfast to go and we were more than pleased with it. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I like this hotel as close to where friends stay

The hotel was very good value for money considering it was a last minute booking. Bed was comfy and room was a nice temperature.

Bright lights from the car park lit up the room despite the black out curtains. It wasn’t very clear where to check in and found myself waiting at the bar for some time in order to check in. The hotel was clean, but could do with a bit of tlc as it felt a bit tired.

The room was very dirty, the sheets were full of dust , there was no fan in the room , there was no soap in the toilet and the room itself had a weird smell. We tried calling the number that was inside but no one answered.

we and our dog always been made very welcome by members of the staff. Bed is comfortable, warm and clean. staff are very considerate and polite.

It was about £65 a night. It was in the town. Car park was handy. Served really good food. Had a great supper and breakfast. Bed was comfortable and it was quiet.

The place is falling to bits, and it seriously needs an upgrade. Staff were overwhelmed at the bar trying to serve and check people in as no one at the reception. Looked to be two senior staff serving and some young waiter/waitresses serving food. There was nowhere near enough for the volume of guests, people in the bar, and people eating meals. The room was roasting. There was no option of aircon or a fan in the room. The toilet had to be yanked about 10 times to flush. The main bar toilets said they had been signed checked at the time I went in, one toilet was blocked and level with faeces, the middle toilet had no lock, leaving one toilet with very little toilet roll. Greene King needs to invest in this hotel. We have stayed here many times over the last years, and it decline is shining bright.

I could probably spend an hour on this question but to round it up I can’t believe there wasn’t any toilet paper in the room,no hot water the light fittings on the wall were hanging off and for some unknown reason there’s a dog barking all night in one of the rooms nearby I actually deeded a rest in the morning I will definitely not be visiting again

Really badly managed only care about money and certainly not the customers safety or security.

The second room I got (first was having it's shower fixed and full of tools) was large enough, clean and comfortable.

The shower in the new room had an issue with the hot water and cold water mixing leaving me with a tepid shower - and this was when there was any hot water available late afternoon.

Loved it was available at short notice, clean, bedding comfy, extras towels and pillows. Plenty of plug sockets to use when needed and TV in the room.

No air conditioning or if it did, it didn't work. The window didn't open fully and it was boiling hot, prices of items in vending machine, I get that you can walk down the road to the aldi or McDonald's but when you just want to sleep

It is what it is. £50 a night for a room, yes it's tired and could probably do with a little refurb. Would I take my missus to stay there? Absolutely NOT. Was it good for me to stay there for work purposes? Absolutely Yes! It's tired a bit dated and the pictures on hear are absolutely correct in there description. But for me it was actually alright. Clean rooms and comfy bed. That's all you want for £50! Top tip. Nobody on check-in desk/hatch. Ring bell or ring mobile number you'll get NO Answer!! Just go in main bar and tell them you're staying, they'll sort you out then!

Everything has been great, nice and clean, wonderfully helpful staff, tasty food, great placement for the event we attended. We'll deffinatly be back again next time the event comes around.

Only issue was the bed, it felt old, so we woke up a bit stiff. The last time we stayed here the bed was perfectly fine. We're assuming it's a one off thing.

Whilst I understand this room was priced lower than some alternatives, I still expect a basic standard of cleanliness and maintenance. Unfortunately, the condition of the room fell well below expectations. There were several maintenance issues, including broken tiles that exposed the wall behind them, a loose light fitting, and a window that would not close properly. There was also a stain on the floor that appeared to become larger during our stay, suggesting there may have been a leak beneath the flooring. Cleanliness was also a concern. When I touched the overhead fixture above the bed, a significant amount of dust fell onto me, indicating that the room had not been cleaned thoroughly. Combined with the general condition of the room, the overall impression was that it was dirty, neglected, and poorly maintained. Had I not already prepaid for the booking, I would have chosen to stay elsewhere. While I appreciate that this was a budget option, the issues experienced were not what I would consider acceptable at any price point.

The spacious room, bed was comfy, staff were friendly and helpful, I slept well too. I was visiting my daughter and needed space for myself, perfect location too, I will stay here again.

A bit dated. The pub was busy during the champions league final and not enough staff on in my opinion. The staff who were on did a great job don’t get me wrong but I just think they would’ve benefited from an extra pair of hands. The ladies toilets ran out of toilet paper and it was quite a while before anyone restocked. The toilets could also do with a refurb.

Room wasn’t very clean (found someone else’s socks on the floor!!). Toilet seat was so loose I nearly fell off the loo!!. Room could do with a bit of TLC. Tried to ring the pub before the stay and it took me two days to get to speak to someone. Had to go searching for someone to be able to check in.

We've stayed here several times to attend a Star Wars function at Ewood Park. Its perfectly situated for us to walk across to the event. Rear facing rooms are very quiet, the pub is great and a decent menu with good breakfasts. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Comfy bed.

Bathroom needs a bit of updating around the edges, grouting, caulking etc. I find the room quite dark ie the main lights are not very bright but nothing much to complain about its a decent room for a good price.
