Visited with my grandchildren aged three and four. The accommodation was perfect. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom, good kitchen, separate room for the children and comfortable room for the adults. Friendly and accommodating staff and excellent location.

Location very good, only a 5 minute walk to the main approach to the Castle. Staff friendly. All the facilities we needed were in the room. Beds quite comfortable. Fans were provided. Noise from the courtyard wasn't a problem. It served it's purpose for an overnight stay. 11am check out was later than expected.

Room was a bit tired. Carpet, blinds worn etc. Layout of the apartment was odd in that you had to walk through bedroom 1 to get to the bathroom area, then through the bathroom area to get to the 2nd bedroom. There was a door for privacy to the toilet & shower, but not the sink.

Very reasonably priced pub accommodation in the heart of Windsor. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. It was minutes away from several eateries.

As described it was a self contained unit with a double and two singles, with a kitchinette. Useful fridge and fans, though not enough of the latter in the August heat. Towels, toiletries, coffee tea and and excellent hair dryer.

Very very dated, probably a conversion in the 1980s. It was noisy with people using fowl language at night, but thankfully the garden was closed around 22:30H. You hear everything like all the bottles being put in the recycling bin, fellow guests being noisy having an early morning fag, because the windows, & building fabric are all dated. Access steep stairs, above the pub outside toilets; terrible cobwebs around the entrance door, plus the electrics went off at just before 23H, but we were lucky the pub was still open and a staff member came to switch them back on!

Booked the room for a trip to Legoland with my son. Location was fantastic and plenty of good breakfast spots nearby. Be advised, the rooms are off the beer garden so it's not quiet but the pub closed at 10pm so wasn't that bad. We knew that going in so no complaints.

Très bon accueil et emplacement idéal. Le logement est agréable, confortable et calme, juste à côté du pub. Le matin, une petite roulotte s’installe dans la cour, où l’on peut profiter d’un bon café accompagné de viennoiseries : une façon très agréable de commencer la journée. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille, avec nos deux enfants de 8 et 3 ans. Nous recommandons cette adresse et y reviendrons sans hésitation ! A very warm welcome and a great location. The accommodation is comfortable, pleasant and quiet, right next to the pub. In the morning, a lovely little coffee trailer sets up in the courtyard, where you can enjoy a good coffee and fresh pastries. A great way to start the day. We had a wonderful stay as a family of four, with our two children aged 8 and 3. We would definitely recommend this place and would happily stay here again!

Aunque no tiene desayuno, cuenta con opción de café de especialidad de lunes a sábado desde temprano. Diferentes opciones de cena cada día de la semana, aunque además hay muchos sitios cercanos para desayunos, almuerzos y cenas. Muy bien situado, para ir andando al centro y visitar el Castillo de Windsor y con parada de autobús muy cercana para Legoland.

The room was really small. If I had been aware if this on booking I would have booked somewhere else. We were here for a wedding and there was no where to hang a long dress and no space to get changed.

Location was perfect, comfortable, relaxing stay with adjacent beer garden. There was absolutely no issues with noise from the chatter outside in fact was great to hear.

We maakten ons wat zorgen omdat het om een pub ging, maar de kamers zijn in een naastgelegen pand, dus van de pub heb je verder geen last, alleen gemak, want je hebt eten en drinken bij de hand. Wat aardig is is dat de Windsor Trooper lokale food trucks laat parkeren naast de pub waardoor je ook nog eens lekker eten kunt krijgen.

Je moet goed in de gaten houden wat de windrichting is als je hier verblijft. Bij oostenwind komen de landende vliegtuigen van Heathrow op 300 meter hoogte over de Windsor Trooper. Van 23 tot 5 uur is het dan rustig, maar daarna wordt slapen lastig. Wij hadden dus oostenwind met prachtig weer. Dat betekent dus ramen open en herrie van vliegtuigen. Bij andere windrichtingen heb je een prima verblijf.

Check in was great and very welcoming. Room was good and clean. Location was good and a nice walk to the centre. And seeing it was warm there was a fan in the room which was life saver.

Good location, the bar area was good and a big garden area with lots of seating. The staff and owner were very pleasant and helpful especially where to park the car. For Windsor it was ok for price that we paid.

Very small room at the back of the building, wouldn’t recommend room number 4 during a heatwave even with two fans on full blast it was extremely hot. Room would be ideal for a single traveller but not for a couple it’s way too small. Be careful going into the bathroom there is a step which caught us out a couple of times.

Excellent location for walking into Windsor: all staff bar one were extremely pleasant and helpful. Clean. Beds Ok, shower excellent, room well set up. No problems with noise as although pub garden outside it closed at 10pm (and this is also clearly stated when booking, so no surprises). Fan provided since in time of heatwave: thank you :-)

Fan was provided: (thank you) however it was very dirty which didn’t match the rest of the facilities which were extremely clean. Thick dust kept blowing off the fan. One staff member with a bit of an attitude.

Accommodation sits in the beer garden, loud until 10ish. Walking out of the room can be a bit intimidating with a sea of people. Soundproofing is non existent. The doors closing sound like a small explosion. The family upstairs were the noisiest bunch of people I've ever experienced. Like a herd of elephants stomping around and could hear every word of a conversation. Woken up to the kids running around screaming from 7am. Next time will pay more for a proper hotel so I don't wake up feeling exhausted.

This was the perfect way to start our trip, the staff was beyond amazing, the town itself we fell in love. it is within walking distance to the Castle, amazing restaurants and even the car rental place we went to the next day to head to Stonehenge. Their kitchen does close at 530pm so we didn't get to try their food but they do have vendors inside on different days and the pasta we got was incredible, same with the little van/coffee truck parked right outside the next day.

Excellent location, just 10/15 minutes into the centre of Windsor. Parking in a car park 3 minutes walk away costing £15 a day from 9.00am to 9.00pm which we just accepted because of location. They did not serve breakfast but found an excellent cafe 5 minutes away called Millars Eatery. Friendly staff and clean room.

A bit noisy late at night and early in the morning when deliveries arrive but we were aware of this at booking. It is a pub after all.

For a room right off the patio of a pub, it was quiet at bedtime. The check in and all interactions with staff were great, including a late checkout when our flight was delayed. The room was comfortable for us and our daughter for a one night stay, conveniently located to walk to restaurants, shopping, and the castle. Great stay!

Fantastic room after a long flight! Loved the ground level by the garden bar. Had everything we needed and was very nice area to walk around and explore. Friendly staff who let us leave out bags after checking out. Great pub atmosphere!

It was a really hot day and the room was really cool and there was a fan. Was nice having a room next to a beer garden and the food in the pub was really good.

Certain members of staff who were rude, aggressive and confrontational. Completely ruined our stay.

The apartment we rented should not have been rented out under intense heat conditions. We were provided with 2 fans but were not sufficient to keep cool. Air conditioning is required here. Our son found it hard to take a breath in the heat. We had no choice but to move to an alternative hotel at significant cost . We were refunded the 2nd night but I feel we should have got a full refund for 2 nights.

No air conditioning on the hottest day in England so you had to open windows to the Heathrow runway.

Only Niggle was the shower pressure but i think part of that was the shower head had been screwed on incorrectly and caused it to cross thread which caused it to leak.

Das Pub mit der Aussenterrasse war super, wie auch das Essen. Personal sehr hilfsbereit, hatte ein Problem mit der Parkuhr und ohne zu zögern half mir das Personal.

Ja, die Unterkunft im Dachstuhl war nicht gerade so super. Die anhaltende Hitze heizten die Zimmer auf, ohne Ventilator wäre ein einschlafen wohl kaum möglich gewesen.

Host was great, Entrance to the rooms is independent of the pub. There is no breakfast but we knew this in advance and did not trouble us (plenty of options in town). Well kept room. 10 mins walk into town and to the station. Great location for trips to London, Oxford etc. at a very reasonable price.

Upon going outside for a smoke or leaving for the evening the pub guests tend to forget they are in a residential area. But this did not trouble us much. It always ended before midnight and earplugs readily solved it.

The people working there were very nice. Lots of friendly people in the pub. Good location. They had an Italian themed night which was very tasty. Also a patron and his dog chino super sweet and friendly.

Seems expensive for what it is. There was a heat wave when we were there and I am not sure how safe it was to put people in that room with the heat. Was in second floor. No help with the bags , an acknowledgement of the heat in the room, an offer of a jug of ice water would have been nice. My dad is 84 and was very warm. In the morning before 8 am we could hear all the bottle clanking as they were poured into recycling. I think if renting at that rate air conditioners should be installed and double glazed windows or sound proofing.

We wanted to be a short drive from Heathrow, and this was great. We wanted to see the castle and Eton, but the neighborhood around the Trooper was very lovely too! The Trooper is a pub, and the rooms are just off the beer garden, but we didn't notice the noise.

They had a special menu the night we were there - Pasta! They evn had gluten-free pasta if my wife wanted it, but it was our last night in the UK, so we found a pub near the castle and are pub food instead. I bet the Trooper's pub food would have been better and cheaper, but they didn't have it on the menu!

No breakfast available but nice restaurant called Montys close by who served excellent breakfast. Location was ideal as we were at Royal Ascot.

The room was a bit run-down for the price. Carpets were stained/dirty and there was no warmth or coziness to the room one might imagine for an Inn...not even pictures on the walls, only empty screws?

Very warm welcome, super location, excellent standard of accommodation.

We had to book on the day as we were badly let down by another accomodation in windsor . We booked the Windsor trooper from the other accomodation and they just had one triple room left. I requested a double room and whilst we were walking from one accomodation to the other, they changed the beds around to give us a large double bed in a very nice room. The staff were very helpful and the room was very nice. As it was all done at short notice, we were late for a pre booked meal and so never had time to use the pub for a drink or food but it all looked nice and clean for the short time we were in there to check in

Short walk to centre. Close to car park. Room basically in the beer garden but no customers allowed in the garden after 10, so no night time noise.
