Clean and comfortable. Has a pool and rear yard for kids. The owner/operator is amazing

It is a bit of a drive to get to downtown

Beds and bedding were very comfortable .

Bathroom and room were dated. Tv wouldn't connect to cable. Pool and sauna were not available.

Nice reception and staff were helpful when I had some questions. Very close to lots of facilities and restaurants. Beds comfortable and had charging option by the bed. Very clean. Able to park right outside the room.

For a stop on a long drive, the Ambassador was excellent. I was not looking for amenities, just a clean, well appointed, quiet room for a few hours sleep and it delivered.

For an older motel, it has been renovated nicely. It has good bones & layout. Conveniently located. Discovered the pool house in behind the room & a large patio door. Did not use the facilities. Check in was pleasant.

Despite the room being clean, there was a distinct odour in the room which was unpleasant & hard to get past. Old, musty smell. The patio door was heavy & difficult to open. Cleaning supplies had been left behind in the room. Room was a non-smoking room & there were cigarette burns on the carpet.

The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful

- Clean rooms - Lots of parking and room to turn around my truck and trailer - Really nice family that run the place. - 1 restaurant less than 5 minutes walk; Tim's about 8 minutes walk. Great place to stop in SSM.

Convenient for our over night on the way home. Owner is very nice and helpful. The room was motel good, comfy bed, clean bathroom, lots of tv channels. Nice to have parking out front.

enjoyed our stay over night as it gave my grandsons a chance to unwind in the swimming pool which was excellent...grandmother even went swimming.. will stay there every time we go through Sault now... felt safe and secure and plan to stay on our return home

3rd time staying the night with my husband and 5 year old and once again it was great! Staff are friendly, room was clean and the pool is a nice bonus!

Great spot to stop for the night. And there was an amazing pool. Clean and clear water, warm and we had it to ourselves. What a treat after a long day of driving.

This was the best stay experience in our entire week long northern tour. You get a pool, sauna, well managed lawn for children to walk around. Rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. Front desk was super helpful to accommodate our very late night check in. Overall a highly comfortable stay for a family with children.

The room was very good, considering everything. It wasn't huge or new, but it was clean, the beds were great, there was plenty of hot water, the wifi was terrific. I feel bad that we didn't bring swimsuits - the pool looked pretty nice. The location was terrific and really bad at the same time. For getting there from the main road, it was terrific. For walking anywhere, it wasn't great. It's a bit of an industrial area. But nearby, within walking distance, were two places we wanted to walk to - a restaurant with great pizzas and the trading post.

Reception was basic but friendly, room well appointed, clean and attractive. My wife thought the bed was hard but I slept well. Pool was excellent, warm and not over busy. Liked the flowers and the sauna. Lots of good food choices nearby at Gino's and wacky wings as well as all the usuals. Would easily come back.

The staff were wonderful and the pool is absolutely amazing! Sauna as well was great. Our room unfortunately was not great and smelled bad. It was a pet room though so maybe that’s why. We didn’t feel very comfortable. All our neighbours in their rooms said their room was clean and they were really happy. So maybe it was just our room.

Excellent for travelling with our pet. Lots of gorund space to walk around with our little pooch. The pool is very warm and a pleasure to be in.

Quite run down and appeared to have crusted vomit around bathroom floor. We arrived really late and left early, didn’t feel clean

Our room was clean, the air conditioning worked very well, and more importantly, the room was bug free. I usually stay at the Delta when travelling but wanted a motel to easily unpack and pack a lot of personal belongings that I’m travelling with. I had concerns but those were put to rest

From the start, Raj, was amazing, and we felt her warm hospitality. The room has all the necessities and is very clean and comfortable. I was hesitant with the location thinking it might be a bit noisy, but that was not the case at all. The friendly staff was always present and willing to help.

Unfortunately, the only downside to the place for us, while we were there the pool was closed. Not a big deal at all, literally the only thing that kept me from leaving a perfect review.

What a hidden gem. It is the first motel as you arrive in town and it is exactly what we were hoping for. The original motel sign greets you are you arrive and there are lovely flower boxes in front of each room encircled with white picket fences. The owner was super friendly and offered us a map and book about the area and the room was fantastic. Super clean and niceky decorated to feel warm and inviting. They have an indoor pool and sauna too! We will definitely be back

Good location to avoid downtown traffic areas and great value for money rooms were very clean and tidy

The outside of the facilities need a refresh, its looks very old and uncared for, for instance doors need painting but inside rooms all is good

No need for a desk in a small room.Coffee machine and microwave, although functional, could do with upgrading.

We really enjoy staying here. The back "patio" is great and gives the feeling of openness rather than being in a closed-in room. The cleanliness and customer service are excellent. My only suggestion to further improve the rooms would be to adjust the fan to a more quiet mode, and fix the patio door so it's not so difficult to open/slide. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We'll be back.
