Beautiful place
This shouldn’t Be a question for this property the riad and hakim are quality
Gorgeous decor and super clean. Service was amazing. Great location.
The Riad is amazing! The staff especially Hakim were incredible. We had a couple of early mornings and he packed us breakfast to take with us each time. On our final morning we needed to leave before breakfast and he also prepared breakfast for us easier than usual. The Riad is small with only 6 rooms which was lovely Nice and relaxing and quiet for our first child free adventure! Thank you Hakim and team
The only negative is the location. On the first day we were a bit skeptical about going back late or in the dark but after a couple of days it was ok and we felt safe.
Number 1 has to be Kharem (I’m not sure if that is how I spell his name correctly) - he made our experience 10/10, he was so friendly, kind, helpful and just an overall gentleman. The property was great, very central beside Badia Palace and a nice breakfast with comfortable rooms and rooftop seatings to chill at night with a bottle of beer. Also - great value for money.
I really can’t fault this place. The only minor thing I would suggest is to clean some of the insects that get in the pond (I understand this may be hard to do in summer)
It was so pretty. The decor was beautiful, the breakfast was lovely! It was also so peaceful. However the best part were the lovely staff. They went above and beyond to look after us, make us feel totally comfortable, safe and helped us with any arrangements.Haqim was so helpful, smiley and knowledgeable. Also was great at sorting taxis for us. Walking us back to the riad in the dark and sorting out our amazing hamman experience!
The walk to the riad, could put people off, but honestly, as soon as you are there, it is a little hidden oasis! Also there was a little problem with the boiler and hot water, but it got rectified quickly.
The riad was in a fantastic location close to lots of attractions and the souks. Haqim was so helpful and friendly, booking our taxis and offering information. Would definitely return.

Beautiful Riad - both the managers were very kind and helpful. We pre booked a meal on our first night as we arrived quite late. The tajines were delicious, chicken and a lamb one, accompanied by tasty salads and bread with very good Moroccan red wine all by a roaring fire!
Nothing
It's difficult to list all the things my friend and I loved about Riad Dar One. The location in Mellah was perfect for us. An easy walk into the heart of the medina yet far enough away that we enjoyed peaceful rest in the evenings. The rooms felt unique and cozy, and we really appreciated the A/C units that helped beat the June heat. But above everything else, our stay was extraordinary because of the kindness of the staff, especially Hakim. His patience giving directions, translating for us with a driver from another tour company, serving a bottle of wine on the rooftop, remembering how we take coffee/tea in the mornings-- and above everything else, coming to my friend's rescue when she got scared by a beetle in her room at midnight. We are still laughing about what she described as something pterodactyl-sized; Hakim just smiled and said "not that big!" and scooped it up for her. I would enthusiastically recommend Riad Dar One to anyone with plans to visit Marrakesh.
Honestly, we couldn't think of a thing we'd change. Other than perhaps staying even longer next time
Really relaxing stay. Staff were super helpful.
Hakim was an excellent host, couldn't do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely rooms, lovely courtyard where food was served by a nice little water feature. Had a nice fire in the other shared space with a TV that you could access all the sports you wanted and play Netflix etc.. Very central to everything in the medina and could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Nice rooftop space as well when weather is nice. Abdelhak was great as well and we even went to a an AFCON football match together, great fun.
Breakfast was a bit carb laden, would have liked to have more eggs and protein in the morning but thats a minor and maybe personal preferance to us. Surrounded by collapsed buildings due to the earthquake a number of years ago but the Riad itself is rock solid and beautiful.

Our stay at Riad Dar One was truly unforgettable. Visiting Morocco was a dream of mine, and this riad made the experience even more special. The location is perfect in the Medina and within walking distance to many attractions. Communication with Abdelhak was excellent from the start — he arranged our airport transfer, helped with dinner selections, and stayed in touch throughout our stay. A very special thank you to Hakim, who treated us with such kindness from the moment we arrived. He carried our luggage, welcomed us with mint tea and biscuits, explained everything clearly, and always made sure we were safe and comfortable. His warmth and genuine care made us feel at home. The riad itself is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. Our room was spacious and the bathroom felt luxurious. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the dinners prepared by Chef Hayat and Chef Rachida were some of the best meals we had in Morocco. We loved every moment of our stay and can’t wait to return. Thank you to the entire Riad Dar One team for an amazing experience. With gratitude, Jeanette and Joel Reeves NJ, USA
Leaving was the hardest! It was such an amazing experience.
Location was close to the Bahia Palace. Call the staff to meet you at the main street as the entry is a little hidden. The passage to the door was lined with plants and warm lighting. The staff was wonderful and served tea upon arrival. Our room was lovely and comfortable with high ceilings and ample space. The bathroom was large with an enormous bathtub. Breakfast was different every morning and it was delicious!
The earthquake of 2023 cause a couple of the buildings nearby to collapse. It did not affect the riad though.
This place is amazing!
The staff did a great job coordinating my arrival from the train station all the way to the Riad. When leaving, they did the same from the Riad all the way to the airport. I had reserved several tours from other operators and Riad staff helped to make sure I was able to get to the meeting point.
The Riad was absolutely gorgeous and the atmosphere was relaxing. The rooftop was so peaceful and enjoyable in the evening. The staff members make the stay a veritable experience with providing advice, perfect service and presence. The location could not be better, everything is near by. The breakfast is really good, with plenty of fresh options !
It seems to be that the Riad was a bit understaffed while we were staying and we were sometimes unsure about asking for some piece of advice or services. Also some of the listed services don't actually exist : note that no laundry services are proposed in the Riad. The jacuzzi is not in service since several months now but the update was not mentioned at the time we reserved and it was a bit disappointing to discover it when we arrived.
Very small riad conveniently located near the edge of the medina. Easy to find your way in and out. Breakfast was good and staff very helpful. We had to get transportation to a wedding and they assisted in finding a driver that could pick us up late at night. It was also nice and quiet and the a/c worked great.
Given the magic of many of the riads we stayed in on our three week trip, this one lacked the attention to detail in the design and small touches; given the price. The bed had a basic sheet and a small blanket. Soap and shampoo but no other toiletries. The rug in the room has seen better days but we don't have allergies so it wasn't a big deal. The rooftop has high walls hence no view. We didn't see anyone using it while we were there - although we didn't eat dinner at the riad.
The Riad had the most wonderful feeling and atmosphere to it. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and an absolute treat each morning. We also had dinner the one evening and I would argue it was the best food we had in Morocco.
We unfortunately only had a bath in our bathroom, which wasn't as convenient especially after a long dusty day. I would also say the path towards the Riad needs a bit of a cleanup.
Excellent
Tucked away little oasis. Beautiful design and peaceful surroundings. Hakim was welcoming, kind and so helpful. Superb location but you don't hear a peep. Terrace was a lovely spot for tea or some wine. We had dinner in one night and it was fantastic. Everything was very easy and we felt very well looked after.
Colazione ottima.
Hakin has been provided us a great service!
Quiet oasis with a beautiful roof terrace to sit and enjoy a drink. Stylish rooms. Friendly staff and great breakfast.
Nothing it was perfect.
Everything was perfect. From the bed, the shower, the food, the atmosphere, the location and the superb staff.
Nothing!
The entryway walkway was so good, The host was so hospitable, The facilities were good. The bathroom was spacious, the breakfast was tasty as well
The entrance to the walkway would be hard to find and thru a old stair building, The beds were a bit less comfortable.
This is a lovely riad and I would be happy to return. As soon as you open the door you are away from the hustle and bustle in a sweet-smelling space, nicely restored in calming colours, with a tinkling fountain - is is very relaxing. The location is very convenient: as it's within the medina it is walkable to all the major historic sights but it is tucked away in quiet streets so you are not disturbed. We ate dinner here one night and the food was delicious, as were the lovely (large!) breakfasts. The staff here are very nice, so helpful and always around to say hello and offer advice. They booked us great excursions and arranged taxis for us. Many thanks to Abdel, Hakim and everyone else for a wonderful trip. We couldn't have asked for anything more!
I loved everything about the property. We were catered to by Hakim. He was awesome and the staff (cooks and cleaning)was amazing. Abdullah also played a role and made sure things were just right when we left the property. The food was fresh and amazing. The food at the property was better than the restaurant we visited.
I loved everything!
The suite is beautiful and the Riad is very calm.
The rooftop in particular felt a bit unloved. In the three days we were there no new sheets were brought up and in particular the private rooftop for the suite was entirely uncleaned and unusable.
A cosy place tucked away behind the Bahia palace with excellent staff. Hakim was exceptional. Would recommend a pick up as the place is not easy to find and the approach to the Riad was through a series of alleyways. Please avoid booking the room on the second floor if you have mobility issue.
A great location and a beautiful property.
The breakfast was served by the plunge pool, it would have been nicer on the roof. The towels were also old and the toiletries were very basic.
The host was exceptional and went beyond what was expected of him, even coming in early on the day we had a day trip to ensure we had breakfast. Great location and value for money was also good.
Mattress was as solid as a rock. If situated on the ground floor, expect noise level to be high, as no sound proofing at all. We could hear every person talking as well as the main door opening/closing, in addition to the water fountain being on too late into the night.
Amazing location
The property is comfortable and trendy too - the service is out of this world.
This was our first visit to Morocco, and the experience exceeded our expectations. Our stay at this riad was excellent. The staff was very welcoming, always smiling, and attentive to every detail. They helped us with everything we needed, from arranging transfers and a lovely dinner upon arrival to booking a relaxing massage. The riad is beautifully decorated, with a calm and elegant atmosphere, offering a peaceful retreat from the busy streets outside. We truly enjoyed spending time there. The room was very clean, with daily housekeeping, and provided ideal conditions for rest—complete silence and total darkness at night, which was especially important for me. Mornings began with the cheerful chirping of small birds on the terrace, a pleasant start to the day.
Small, pretty, quiet riad in an interesting part of the Medina. Attentive, friendly staff , a great menu of treatments and expeditions and the best homemade strawberry jam we'd ever tasted
Breakfast good. Great bathroom
Location down dodgy alleys. Nothing on rooftop other than sunbeds. No staff, bar, food, pool etc Bedroom decor was too bland, simple, boring,
Charming
Excellent breakfast. Great variety each morning and very attentive service.
We had an amazing experience at Riad Dar One. From the moment we arrived, it felt like staying with a very stylish and thoughtful friend. Hakim was is a brilliant host, so helpful and kind. He even retrieved a phone left in a taxi for us. We will definitely be back.
It was perfect.
It is an amazing location and riad with the most helpful staff I have ever met. Breakfast was delicious and so was dinner when we ate there. I would fully recommend staying here.
Nothing, it was perfect
Quiet calm and lovely staff. Lovely breakfast in the courtyard
Amazing location on the edge of the Medina, super friendly staff and an amazing location to explore Marrakech from.
Nothing - any problems will be sorted out for you.
Riad Dar One is a beautiful, tranquil oasis in the bustling wonder that is Marrakesh and the walled city. Hakim and the entire staff here are wonderfully kind, attentive, warm and caring people who do an excellent job representing Morocco's ancient traditions of hospitality. A special thanks to Hakim for doing so much to care and look out for people's needs. The place is beautiful and well-maintained, breakfast is delicious and fresh, but the kindness and warmth of the people are what stood out beyond everything else to me. As a woman traveling alone I learned it can be super helpful to call the Riad to meet you next to the palace and walk with you the last 2 blocks if it's your first time getting there, and if it's after dark and they can meet and walk the last two blocks with you if you ever feel this would be helpful for peace of mind too, and it was so deeply appreciated to know this. There was only one time I didn't feel completely safe around the location as a woman traveling solo, and that wasn't because of the wonderful community right there. I knew I could call the Riad if needed, and I generally felt very safe in the medina, just have to be smart and have a Riad you know will be there for you if needed! Thank you for a beautiful stay!
Beautifully decorated throughout, comfortable bed. We loved the fact that our room was the only one on the top floor. Breakfast was very good and staff very friendly.
Nothing
Nice rooms, very friendly staff
The staff were incredibly helpful and freindly
Location was very close to the Jewish quarter and Medina. Bed and sheets were super comfortable. Staff consisted of one guy who oriented us day 1, but the only other guy who handled breakfast was friendly.
We had high expectations for this Riad after all the amazing reviews. Not sure if the owner has changed since last online reviews that mentioned the owner who we never saw. But the rooms had no toiletries, except a soap bar and shampoo. No water bottles, no fridge. Bathroom didn’t empty with rising water. Breakfast was mediocre with banana/ apple salad , ok, a piece of cake, bread. No cereals, yogurt or variety of fruit. Once was offered an omelette. Drip coffee free but espresso payable. Taxis around town incl to airport 4-5€ but property charges 15€ in town and 20€ to airport. Very easy to hail cab. We did it no problems. Tell driver how much you pay and where. They always accepted what we offered no hassle with a smile!
The team
Gorgeous Riad in a great location. The staff were amazing. A special shout out to Hakim and Abdelhak who were fantastic and looked after us amazingly well with big smiles on their faces. I think Abdelhak is the happiest person I've ever met. We were left to our own devices but they were there if we needed anything. The Riad is a calm and quiet oasis away from the busy streets of Marrakesh but within walking distance of most of the sights. The rooms are gorgeous and it has the added bonus of a small pool. Great for dipping hot feet into at the end of a long hot day! I would love to visit Marrakesh again and Riad Dar One will be top of my list for accommodation.
Excellent location and very attentive staff who were there to support 24/7 with things bookings for restaurants/trips etc.
Rooms are lacking a safety deposit box. Sound travels between the rooms easily.
Service and relationship with the team
Host was an incredible person, very accommodating and kind.

Staying there for 8 nights resulted in the breakfast becoming a bit repetitive and limited.
Better variety at breakfast. Hot-tub being in working order would have been good.
Peaceful, intimist, clean. The breakfast is changing every days. They helped us with the booking of restaurants, activities and so on. Really dedicated. It is well located (15min from Jemaa El fna by foot, which is cool as it is then quiet). I 100% recommend it
The room on the ground floor is next to the kitchen, you may have some smell in the morning
Staff were perfect and welcoming. Shout out to lovely Hamik who single handedly looked after us, especially during my sickness and birthday celebrations. Unbelievable massage on-site, one of the best my mum and I have ever had.
The breakfast was ok but I've stayed in much cheaper hotels in Morocco and had a much better breakfast. A personal taste thing but we didn't love the decor, it was devoid of the Moroccan spirit we love so much. Our room in particular was very dark and didn't have enough lights (easy fix) and we felt like we were in a fishbowl with the window/bed situation. The pool upstairs wasn't working but it wasn't warm enough to use anyway.
The staff was very kind and respectful. Thank you for the stay!
The place was nice and clean.
The lighting was poor and breakfast was basic. Sockets were falling off. Had a bad smell in the alley way.
Great place to stay, convenient and homely. Staff are excellent and go along way to make sure everything is just right for your stay
It's a Riad, so don't expect normal room features like a kettle and a fridge. This is no problem as everything you need is nearby!
Everything! Everyone was so kind and attentive and helped us with so much. The riad was beautiful. We loved the roof terrace.
The two things that could have been improved would have been more lighting in our room. As women it was very hard to get ready in our room 😂 The other thing would be better options for breakfast with people with dietary requirements.
