Comfortable and close to centre.
Staff weren’t that friendly and hotel expensive.
Rooftop area was awesome , quiet rooms.
Nothing
Hotellissa oli kaikki kohdillaan niin kuin mainokset ja kuvaukset kertoivat. Aamupala hyvä, kiva allasosasto, viihtyisä kattobaari hienolla näkymällä. Suosittelemme naapurihotellin pitzeriaa.
Everything was nice and clean.
I was looking for dinner on the rooftop. It was all small plates.
Check in was fast and efficient. The staff members were all friendly and helpful anytime we needed anything. The room was clean and we had plenty of space. We booked the Mountain View room and we loved the views. The bed was comfortable. The shower had good water pressure. The inside hotel bar area was great. We went down two nights and the food and drinks were good. The bartender was excellent. She was welcoming and friendly. She was busy but did a great job. This hotel is in a safe and quiet area of Asheville. My only issue was the doors shutting to other rooms can be a little loud at night. I would definitely stay here again!
My husband and I had the BEST time celebrating my birthday. The room was amazing with gorgeous views of the mountains! The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special, especially Lynn at the front desk! Thank you, we will stay at this Hilton again!
I had a great stay at the DoubleTree Downtown Asheville. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location with easy access to downtown restaurants, shops, and attractions. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making check-in and check-out quick and hassle-free. Whether you’re visiting Asheville for business or pleasure, this hotel is an excellent choice. The rooms were quiet and well-maintained, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient place to stay in Asheville.
Lynn and Mitchell have been awesome. They have endured my stay was as pleasant as could be. Liliana from housekeeping has done an excellent job making sure my room is fully taken care of. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay and walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops.

If you’re considering this hotel, be prepared for a masterclass in incompetence. In a single stay, we were asked to pay for a breakfast that was already included in our reservation, our room was not serviced, our key stopped working, requested towels never arrived, and management’s response to our complaints was complete indifference. Our room was not serviced at all. No fresh towels. No replenished water. No coffee. No tea. Our room key stopped working. It was reprogrammed and still did not work. After I reported these issues through the hotel chat, I was asked what could be done to improve our evening. I requested fresh towels, bottled water, coffee, and tea. Hours passed. Nothing was delivered. No one followed up. The breakfast situation deserves special mention. We were asked to pay for a breakfast that was already included in our reservation. Later, I discovered an additional $4 tip charge on my folio that I did not authorize. After multiple service failures throughout the stay, finding questionable charges on the final bill did not inspire confidence. My advice to future guests: review your folio carefully before checking out. At checkout, I informed management that our room had not been serviced and that the requested towels had never arrived. The response I received was simply: “Okay.” That one word perfectly summarized the entire experience. The hotel itself is not the problem. Asheville is wonderful. The problem is management. When housekeeping fails, the front desk fails, guest services fail, communication fails, billing raises questions, and management shows no interest in resolving any of it, the issue is no longer individual mistakes. The issue is leadership. This hotel doesn’t need better apology scripts. It needs management training.
The staff were excellent, especially Holton at the front desk
Highway noise
It was within walking distance of the venue
It was within walking distance to the venue but the homelessness and drug problem in this city is alarming! We didn’t walk because we were afraid of what we you’ll encounter along the way. And I think we must have been in the top floor under the restaurant because it was incredibly loud especially at night and heard chairs moving above us all night.
Spacious room, very clean and comfortable. Firm beds. Very good breakfast
Nothing in particular
Nothing to complain about at all, lovely hotel, wonderful helpful and polite staff, and fantastic location

Check in, room size and comfort and cleanliness. Rooftop bar was lovely and staff were very friendly.
I thought breakfast was included in rate but that was my misunderstanding. Service at breakfast was a litte slow even though there was very few people being served.
Such a wonderful stay. The DoubleTree Asheville Downtown is situated right in downtown. Next to the Interstate for quick on and off. Two walking blocks from Grove Arcade. 3 walking blocks from Patton & College. Awesome location. Rooftop bar, while a bit small, is super cool. Try to lock in a reservation as it fills up fast. What really set our trip apart was the service! Shanna and Lynn at the Front Desk were really helpful and friendly. Shanna was an absolute delight! Housing had Ignacia and Cecillia, who were both rockstars. We loved these ladies, and their thoroughness and willingness to help. DoubleTree by Hilton Asheville Downtown at 199 Haywood Street, Asheville, NC is going to be our AVN home away from home here on out!
Falta un buen restaurant en la noche
Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Room comfortable and clean
They had self parking on site, it did cost $25 a day, the complimentary cookies were delicious, the breakfast buffet was $16 a person but it was very good, the Rooftop grill and Bar was closed for a private event the first night we were there we did get the experience the food and drinks and they were very notable. The staff is extremely friendly throughout the establishment. The hotel was within walking distance of several shops and dining establishments.
There was no microwave in our room. The hotel across the street blocks your view if you're located on that side of the hotel. There was a side view shown in the picture. Parking costs $25 a day. Breakfast was an additional charge, and if you ordered off the menu, it was an additional charge on top of the additional charge. Coffee was not complimentary all day. Salvation Army was two doors down, and walking to shops and places to eat was encountered with some homeless asking for money.
Liked both bars. Staff was very nice.
Away from downtown bars , restaurants. More of a conference hotel. Had a couple groups 30-40 people.
Good location
Parking fee
They checked me in early even though I had pre-checked in but that room wasn’t ready. The room was spacious and very clean. There is a fridge in the room. The bed was very comfortable and even though it’s next to an interstate, it was very quiet.
They do charge for parking which isn’t in the booking.com description.
The rooms were clean. The staff was friendly - check in was a breeze and the breakfast hosts were friendly.

We were on a long wrong trip from NY to GA and decided to stay in this small town on our way back. This was the best hotel of all. The staff was courteous and extremely nice and the hotel was gorgeous and the location was perfect. I never heard of this town before but I fell in love with its beauty and character. If someone is hiring for HR roles reach out I wanna move there from NYC 😁
Nothing at all, everything was perfect
Staff checking us in seemed rushed, uninterested.
Clean - great location- and of course - the cookies!
Right next to roof top bar and there was an issue with the elevator so it was noisy. Staff made up for it - free drink - but it was rather noisy one night.
Such a great room- very spacious with modern amenities. The breakfast buffet was worth the price. My kids said it was the best hotel pool ever. The location was really close to downtown.
Our room was on the 7th floor. The rooftop bar was right above us and at night we heard EVERY chair that was scraped across the floor. I was surprised there wasn't better sound proofing.
The breakfast was good but I would rather seat myself and get my own cofee at a buffet . Early check in was nice.Room was great.
The pool was not available and I didn't get my cookie or water bottle which I saw others get. I know it sounds trivial but the price was expensive. Parking should have been included.
Welcoming and helpful staff. Clean and updated rooms and common spaces. Unfortunately, all three of us found the beds to be quite uncomfortable (hard) and we had a poor experience one evening ordering food in the Dogwood Cafe (restaurant next to the bar). The food was cold and looked like it was made by a 10-year-old. Management apologized and addressed the issue, but I cannot recommend it. Not even worth the extra miles that we got with partner American Airlines.
Lynn was so helpful and kind getting our rooms settled.
Lynn at the front desk was super helpful and Friendly. Job well done Lynn! It was a pleasure meeting you and thanks again for all your help.
Nice hotel. Lynn at the front desk was wonderful. She deserves some recognition
The bed was comfortable. Shower was nice and clean and great hot water.
Had to pay for self parking. Terrible idea.
Lynn was amazing! What a pleasant greeting when I checked in. Room was clean and breakfast was fabulous.
The staff was wonderful. The location was perfect for my stay.
The Doubletree was very beautiful. My room was clean and the view was amazing. The location was walking distance to great restaurants. The customer service I received from the time I walked in the door was exceptional. Lynn was so welcoming and friendly. She was very attentive to my needs and smiling every time I saw her. This hotel would definitely be on my most favorite locations. Thanks Lynn for everything, keep smiling!
Lyn at the front desk was always helpful. Everyone was. Rooms and halls were clean. Maintenance addressed a small problem very quickly and efficiently.
Great service
Great location
I travel a lot, however the people at the hotel are incredibly friendly and kind, if I need anything at all they go above and beyond to help me, incredible !! Specially Lynn at the front desk. Thank you so much Lynn !
Excellent staff - extremely helpful

Beds and pillows were to soft and used/worn/old and the tv wasn’t in front of bed but to the side of the bed which made watching the tv uncomfortable
My husband and I checked into this hotel on 1/17/2026 somewhere between 8:00-8:30 PM. We only booked the hotel for one night and had planned to extend our stay if we had a good experience. Where do I start? Okay, first let me disclose that we are an African American couple and we have Hilton Diamond status. We travel a lot and have stayed in a lot of hotels within the Hilton network inside and outside of the USA. This is the first time that we have ever felt so discriminated against because of our ethnicity. Upon check-in, the young white lady who checked my husband in was very cold and unfriendly. She never acknowledged his Hilton Diamond status, nor did she offer an upgrade which we found odd. Anytime we stay at certain hotels (Canopy, Conrad, Curio, Doubletree, Graduate, LXR, NoMad, Signia, Tapestry, & Waldorf Astoria) within the Hilton network, we are automatically given an upgraded room and thanked for our Hilton status. They were not at capacity so that excuse can’t be used. Even if the Hilton brand hotel does not offer free upgrades, we are thanked for our Hilton status and given a bag with water and sometimes snacks depending on the Hilton brand hotel. Nevertheless, she asked my husband if he wanted water to which he replied yes and she gave him water without even putting the water in a bag. Lastly, she told him that he couldn’t park in spots 1-4 when we saw other guests parking in those spots. They weren’t handicapped spots so I was confused by that. Next, we put our luggage in the room and went down to the bar area to order food. Our food took forever to come out. When we first got to the bar, we weren’t greeted right away. However, I noticed that each time a white person or couple came up, there was so much enthusiasm towards them. They were acknowledged right away. There was an older white lady who came and sat at the bar near us, and she was so nice to us. She also noticed everything as we did. So, this was confirmation that none of this was in our head. From the time that we first got there, there was this Asian looking guy (employee) who was just sitting at the bar. Finally, instead of him acknowledging our presence, he had Kelly come take our order. She didn’t seem overly enthused to help us, but she did. There was a white guy with a long white beard who came over to the bar, and he acknowledged all the white patrons and checked on them but never looked our way nor acknowledged us. I thought that was very disgusting of him. He continued this same behavior the entire time we were at the bar. Also, the person who was cooking in the kitchen came out of the kitchen to the bar area while making our cheeseburgers I’m assuming and had 2 slices of cheese in each hand slapping them together while talking to Kelly. The worker did not have gloves on and was talking over the cheese spraying God knows what germs while talking. Kelly overheard me say something about the cheese and she said she would have the burgers made over without the cheese. I never asked for the burger to be made over, I asked for no cheese after I saw what I saw. She brought the burgers out. They were overcooked. My burger was ordered without tomatoes and onion because I have a slight allergy to fresh tomatoes. Neither of our burgers had the housemade sauce that was advertised to come on the burger. I didn’t complain because Kelly seemed irritated and I just wanted to get back to my room. Besides if I would have said something, I would have been labeled a mad black woman. NONE of the white employees (not just the bar employees) were friendly towards us or acknowledged us. They truly treated us like we were invisible. From what I saw, this hotel lacks diversity in its staff. I totally blame upper management for this and the way the white employees behaved. I had reservations about coming to Asheville because of the mindset of towns like this in the USA. The racism here was blatant. The sweet white patron who treated us better than the staff members, I pray God blesses her tremendously because she made the experience tolerable because of her kindness. She was not from Asheville nor the state of NC which is most likely why she wasn’t being a racist jerk. Nevertheless, we chose to not extend our stay and we went ahead and checked out of this hotel after one night. This experience left a bad impression to the point where we decided the reputation of Asheville not being welcoming to African Americans was true. For that reason we got on the interstate and made the 3 and 1/2 hour drive back home. Again, I blame management for the employees behavior. The employees can only feel comfortable enough to do this because management has allowed it. If you are African American, stay at your own risk. It’s sad because the rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. Definitely, waiting patiently on that Hilton survey.
Lynn working the front desk was so nice and welcoming! The hotel was nice and clean!!
It was comfortable and close To everything we wanted to do
No dislikes. We don’t interact with the staff so that’s why I couldn’t give the highest marks
From the moment we checked-in, I have to say that the receptionist, I think her name was "Lynn," was extremely friendly and accommodating. Her pleasant demeanor was the difference for me. I wish every receptionist working there had her pleasantness. Housekeeping staff were very pleasant.
Other front desk staff weren't as pleasant as our first person we encountered. A couple of the breakfast staff seemed overwhelmed....perhaps understaffed.
The location was convenient to the Biltmore House. The View was excellent!!

I like the location. The ability to walk to the downtown area was great. As, well as access to dining was great. The breakfast was great; it was priced right for the great omelets.
The bed was too soft, and there was discomfort with the pillows.
Very clean, friendly staff
Free parking would be great, especially since asheville streets were free for the holiday
This hotel is situated in a great location, with great services, and Lynn was super friendly and welcoming. It is very clean and comfortable.
We had a good experience and Lynn was wonderful! All staff was pleasent and helpful, very clean and located close to restaurants for a nice walk around town.
Location
The bathroom, had no exhaust. Lighting in the room was challenging, when getting dressed and doing makeup.
Everything
Extremely clean
Location.
Not much of a view. Blocked by Embassy Hitel.
Fantastic customer service. Upon arrival, we shared our failed plans with Lynn at the front desk. She was very sympathetic and friendly. The hotel rooms are modern and clean. Our stay was only for a night as we were passing through, but I would definitely stay again.
The size of the room was spacious. The hotel was clean. Breakfast service excellent and reasonably priced
Short stay did not have any dislikes while there
Great room with comfortable bed and lots of space. Everything was very clean. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful and the cookies were delicious. Only improvement would be to have complimentary breakfast buffet. Twenty dollars per guest for breakfast is too pricey.
CHERYL! If only more people could be like Cheryl. Cheryl went out of her way to help us, and she's that exceptionally rare person who thinks selflessly and restores your faith in humans. Our stay-- thanks to Cheryl, was a welcome reprieve from a not-so-great day, and sometimes all it takes is a little kindness to turn it all around. Cheryl made our stay truly unforgettable, just by going out of her way to care.
