Owners are very attentive and helpful, gave us nice room upgrade for free as its off season.Easy walk to the beach, plenty of places to eat and chill nearby. famous Goyambokka beach is 5 min taxi away.

I stayed at Sole & Luna during a management transition and I can already see a big positive change. The restaurant has recently reopened and they can prepare almost anything on request, including real Italian food, just ask in advance. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, which is not so common in Sri Lanka. The hotel also has a beautiful terrace, perfect for relaxing or doing yoga. The location is excellent, just 40 seconds walk from the beach. The staff was extremely helpful and gave great recommendations about places to visit nearby. Overall, the atmosphere is peaceful and authentic. I also loved the small details like the parrots and the ducks around the property.

Some areas are still being improved due to the recent management change, but you can clearly see that the property is getting better very quickly.

Firstly, the staff were so friendly and so helpful with so many different things. The room was big, spacious, super clean and even had a large patio. The ambience of the whole resort was lovely, easy and a great place to stay. So great that I extended my stay twice. The pool was so inviting and relaxing after a warm day. I would highly recommend staying here especially with their reasonable prices.

There is no direct access to the beach. We needed to take a short car/taxi ride to get to the beach.

Dirty room, springs could be felt through the mattress and the staff, sweet as they were, need some training. We left and didn't end up staying.

Las habitaciones con vistas al mar muy grandes y muy bonitas. Las vistas son espectaculares. Sin querer nos llevamos la llave del hotel y enseguida nos pusimos en contacto con ellos. Queríamos pagar el envío por las molestias ocasionadas y no nos dejaron, pagaron ellos.

The hotel is old style but clean and the staff very helpful and super friendly, cannot fault them. The breakfast was way too big and we recommend the restaurant across the road, good food on the beach.

It is clean, calm and nice place

We booked 2 rooms and rooms were spacious. Though we have been told dinner can be taken from hotel, the person in reception direct us to another near by resturant saying he will get a discount but ended up with 11,000/= bill without any reduction .We were only 2 adults and 3 kids below 10. Breakfast so called english breakfast ,was so poor, excuse was they are out of supplies . However ,they served total different menu . Dissapointed.

Great view from our room, balcony, fridge, clean spacious room. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was fresh fruit, smoothie, omelette, toast and jam. Delicious! Pool was refreshing and well laid out, pool towels brought to us. A few restaurants within walking distance and 50m to Beach. Regular buses outside hotel to town. Highly recommend this hotel for a quiet relaxing getaway.

Excellent location and all the staff were absolutely fabulous, nothing was to much trouble. The gentleman on reception was magnificent organising trips and our transport back to Colombo. The breakfast was very good as well. First class service all round. Thanks to all of you for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic views, monkeys in trees next to hotel. Short walk to best beach bars in area. Good food in hotel. Friendly helpful staff. 1.5 KM from town but only a few hundred KPR in a taxi.

Lights were not working good in the bedroom. They scammed me with the laundry, there was one near the hotel that was 600LKR/KG. They told me they would bring it for me and they charged me 1600LKR/KG and did not wash my shoes. Supposedly you can pay by card but they don’t allow you, I had to go with them to the bank to Tangalle while our Uber was waiting, made me lose more than one hour of my life.

The room was nice and large, the beds were comfortable. The staff was relatively helpful. The pool is OK. The Beach is close by.

The breakfast was not nice at all: watery juices, cold sausages, toasts and eggs. A simple buffet would have been so much nicer. The pool and the surrounding area is very small compared to the number of rooms and guests. Overall, it is overpriced. Only cash is accepted.

Very nice location, close enough to Tangalle to tuktuk into the town for restaurants etc but nicely placed outside of the built up area and very close to beautiful beaches. Breakfast good and varied. Really pleasant swimming pool and outside space.

Small inconvenience to be told cash payment only on arrival. Expected noise on New Year’s Eve but surprised how long the music lasted in neighbouring places……showing my age now!!

Its a 50m walk to Red beach from the hotel. Silent beach is a 15 min walk away. The hotel is situated in a quiet part of Tangalle. Staff were very friendly. Breakfasts were tasty especially the buffets.

Hot water was not always available.

The rooms were huge. It's close to the ocean but it was too rough so we spent a lot of time by the pool. Breakfast was good. There are some restaurants nearby.

The location was great, restaurants nearby were great too. The room was huge, a comfortable bed and a wonderful view of the ocean. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Garlic prawn dinner special except for the additional 10 percent charge

Many stairs...no massage as advertised in their facilities list....a surcharge of 10percent was even charged on the dinner special. Construction using a hammerdrill to concrete floor above and had to boil the kettle on the floor due to lack of and positioning of power points.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Interior design is very welcoming. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money. Food was excellent. I highly recommend it. We certainly plan to stay again there

I recently stayed at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised by how much it exceeded my expectations. The rooms and bathrooms were impeccably clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay. The breakfast served was absolutely delicious, offering a great start to the day. What truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by Mr. Manjula and his team. They were incredibly friendly, supportive, and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Highly recommended!

Brilliant staff. Nothing was a problem. Great swimming pool. Good location to explore all the surrounding beaches. Easy scooter rental directly from the hotel for the usual price. Huge, bright rooms and huge beds. Aircon and fan. Big balcony. There are plenty of restaurants nearby even though they tend to be more expensive than in the town.. easy to get a tuk tuk though for 300-500 rupees. There's a fridge in all the rooms and TV in some. The rooms were clean. Quiet location.

Location might not be for everyone. It's a fair bit out of town and action.. The water seemed to smell of mould a bit. The king bed was huge, but very springy and you could feel every movement of the other person.

Great breakfest!

Comfortable stay overall. The price was great, the breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. It was also clean and had a relaxed feeling! There is also a fantastic restaurant on the beach right across the road.

The property facilities are a bit run down, possibly from the Covid period. It could do with some upgrades and maintenance. However, the staff are trying their best to make it a comfortable stay for guests.

Spacious rooms, a beautiful view of the ocean, a varied breakfast to choose from. I arrived a few hours earlier than the stated check-in time and was immediately accommodated. Convenient location in a quiet place, no noise from cars. Wi-Fi worked well, so I was able to easily combine my vacation with work. Nearby there are several safe and not densely populated beaches where you can relax, sunbathe and swim, as well as available restaurants with delicious and inexpensive local food. If you drive a motorbike, you can rent one here.

Noisey air conditioner unit. Thin grey towels. No bath mat. The curtains in the bedroom are very thin and let a lot of early morning light in.

Spacious rooms and lots of space in the hotel

Although clean, it is a little tired in places and could do with a lick of paint. The food if you had an evening meal was a bit limited and not inspiring. There are plenty of better options outside.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. We had a big family room with 3 beds and big balcony with sea view. Good clean swimming pool. Good breakfasts. Quiet and cozy place. 2-3 minutes to walk to an nearest beach. There are several beaches not far from this hotel. Good Wi-Fi.

Only cash payments, but an ATM is 1-2 km from the hotel.

The rooms were spacious and the shower had hot water with good pressure.

The rooms weren’t clean. When we checked in, there was still a dirty glass in our room from the previous people. Also the sheets were grey and looked like they were used. Breakfast was okay, but not great.

The views could be improved. An excellent view of the sea is covered by an overgrown shrubbery in front that gives the hotel an unkempt look. More maintenance is required. Also I feel like there need to be more breakfast options rather than the same menu everyday.

Indunil is extremely helping and always meets you with a smile. All his suggestions and recommendations were on point. The breakfast is nice and the property is very well kept and clean. The view from the room is to die for! I had the best time staying there.

We were upgraded to the oceanview balcony room. The room was modern, really big and the doors to the balcony opened so that the balcony became part of the room. The pool was fantastic. The staff were beautiful and made us feel very welcome. Everything about this place was above our expectations. There are places to eat very close walking distance or 300 rupees in a tuk tuk to get to main beach party area. We loved this place and highly recommend. There is also a beach across the road.

Compared to the price for a room, breakfast is quite expensive.....

The hotel was very modern and clean and very comfortable. We went by privately owned tuk tuk and parking was available. The bathroom was big with a separate shower and the airconditioning was adequate for the room. The pool was clean and well maintained.

Perhaps due to the economy, the hotel's restaurant had been closed down and therefore breakfast was not available in the morning. Additionally, the facility to pay by card is no longer available, so we had to go into town to withdraw cash.

The location, a bit alone in a not really good beach. No many options for restaurants.

I ha planed to stay 2 days but ended up staying for 6! Great hotel, very comfortable, clean and good size room with amazing view of ocean with a sea view room. You can even see sunrise from there. Bathroom was nice with hot water, ac, fridge and kettle. Location is in the middle of Tangalle, it's a 1 hour walk to Tangalle beech or a 7 min tuk tuk drive but Goyambokka Beach is walking distance 15 mins and is beautiful and much better than Tangalle Beach. Bus stop is out side the hotel where you can travel to Hiriketiya beach, 20 mins on bus and then walk to Dikwella beach. Hotel is walking distance to the main town and bus station aprox 35mins with many ATMs and supermarkets. There is no restaurant open as of yet but you can have breakfast at another hotel for $4 and have lunch/ dinner at red beach cafe opposite the hotel. Staff are nice and friendly. Great choice if you want luxury at a decent price
