Aloft by Marriott Greenville Downtown

All staff was friendly, approachable, informative, and helpful to myself and my husband (first time visitors of Greenville).

Everything was Great!

Great hotel in a perfect location. Close to lots of restaurants and an easy walk to the Peace Center. There's plenty of on-site parking. All of the employees I encountered were friendly and helpful. There's a great bar on the lobby level with pool tables. The hotel is dog friendly, but I didn't hear any barking during my stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms were clean and modern. The bed was comfortable and the amenities were overall, good for our weekend stay.

The air conditioning in the room was incredibly loud at night, making it hard to sleep due to the noise. That, plus the black out shades not coming down to the bottom of the window made sleeping quite difficult. The room was well appointed but small, with the bed taking up a large portion of the space so it was a little tight for 2 people and their luggage. The lobby bar had live music which was great but they kept the music going well into the night and it was quite loud, even sitting on the outdoor patio.

Rooms are small and don't have a K-cup coffee maker and the refrigerator was old.

Location… relative to the venue we were attending as well as restaurants, ample parking available for a reasonable fee, pool, bar/food available in the evenings, easily accessible from the Interstate. Room was clean, good size shower, fridge, work area, plenty of plugs for charging. Love a bit of seating other than the bed… banquette between the two work surfaces. Plenty of pillows.

Bed was somewhat uncomfortable to me.

The reservation said full breakfast. It wasn't the case.

Our room was small and you could not turn on the light in the bathroom without it shining bright in the bedroom, due to the frosted plexiglass strip in the wall between those two rooms

The location, right downtown is great for the walking city that Greenville is! The staff are professional and super pleasant. Here’s what we didn’t know: Aloft enthusiastically welcomes dogs. Dog art in the rooms and lobbies. And the room smelled like wet dog. We were the only guests I saw without a dog. Dogs barking. It was not bad at night, thankfully. We thought briefly of finding a different hotel. Maybe there was a notice that Aloft is a doggie palace, but we missed it.

I usually to not craft my reviews until the completion of my trip. My experience warrants deviation from my usual review process. From the moment of checking in this evening around 6pm, both Gentlemen at the check in desk were extremely professional and kind. The Gentleman wished me a good night by name as I entered the elevator after dining at the bar. It was so refreshing. I cannot express how much I appreciated it. There are no words to describe the Dave and Rob experience at the bar. My business trip is on the tail end of visiting family in NC therefore the interaction with these Gentleman was much needed. Thank you for being who you are. The WXYZ bar is the place to be. Not only do they know cocktails/beers/wine but you also have a Chef (former/current) that knows his food. This location is not what i expected BUT I'm glad I ended up here. This will become my go to hotel and I will be recommending it to my other colleagues that travel up from Atlanta as well. Bottomline .... in today's world, I just want to say "thank you" to each of you and I will leave it at that.

Everything! The hospitality was topnotch. They definitely aim to please. Staff was amazing, food was good, and great location everything is in walking distance.

Didn't like the pool size, but it works

Location, cleanliness - the room smelled great. We arrived early and were pleasently suprised to find that our room was ready. Staff were polite and professional. Cocktails were delicious.

The pool was way smaller in reality than they make it look in the photos. Still nice though. I think the room was a little overpriced for the quality of the hotel but I guess that is because of the location.

They don’t tell you or have a sign saying you have to drive into a parking garage . Park temporarily, go inside take elevator up to main lobby to check in., very poor and confusing.

The location to the vibrant downtown area of Greenville, near the restaurants, shops and theatre is fantastic. We didn’t bring our furbaby, but this is a super accommodating hotel and we saw plenty of evidence.

I’m not a fan of the bathroom and bedroom sliding door concept currently in vogue. Especially for the bathroom. The lobby is on the 4th floor with a first floor lobby that was not occupied with staff, but young men hanging out late one evening when we returned. Should have told the staff, but it felt like loiterers, not guests and one solo woman coming into the elevator had a look on her face that relayed, don’t leave me alone down here! This lobby is freely accessible to anyone…

The room was small, as expected. It was generally clean but the charge port device on the desk was filthy and sticky (see photo). Breakfast was included in the rate but selections were very limited - much less than the free hotel breakfasts I am accustomed to. Internet service was a bit of a challenge to connect using my VPN. Next time I will try the Hampton.

Overall quirky place. Maybe that’s the theme, but somewhat inconvenient- elevator requiring room key, not enough lighting in the room, only seating was the bed.

The Aloft location is excellent for exploring downtown Greenville. It is close to Main Street. It has a great vibe. Rooms are clean and well appointed. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately we didn't take advantage of the bar, lounge and balcony area since we were busy exploring down town.

Probably one of the friendliest staff members I have met in hotel service in a long while. I travel a lot for work and I’ve never felt more cared about than the crew that was working this past weekend. The only improvement would be better lit bathrooms. It’s hard to get ready in such a dim bathroom. But the staff was outstanding!

the location was amazing. very walkable to restaurants, bars, and entertainment. we ate at the bar downstairs and our bartender provided fantastic service. the food was decent.they also had a complimentary pool table by the bar!

the drinks were pricey and the pool closed at 9pm. the walls were also very thin. my two friends and i were just all talking and cutting up & we got a noise complaint. we weren’t even playing music.

How close the hotel was to everything downtown. No need to drive hardly anywhere. Most everything is within walking distance.

Very clean. Comfortable bed. Loved how easily accessible the hotel is to and from the parking garage. Loved the location. Walking distance to many restaurants and entertainment. It was the perfect location for the purpose of our visit.

Only issue with my stay involved the facilities (facility) of the room stayed in. The locking mechanism on the bathroom door was missing, so the bathroom door could not be locked. There were no complaints about the issue because it was only my fiancé and myself during the stay, and because of the layout of the room, which I also loved, it was of no huge concern.

I liked the fourth floor, the outside, the heaters, the pool and the welcoming of our furry family member. The night and day receptionist were friendly, professional and very helpful. I loved the amazing view from our room I highly recommend this hotel.

The room was too small and no microwave..

We have stayed here several times in the last 4 years. It's convenient, pet friendly, affordable,and within walking distance of downtown sites and restaurants. However, as a Marriott rewards member, it did not allow us to use current accumulated points to upgrade or towards room rate. Instead, it required us to buy more points to upgrade or contribute towards room rate payment.
