That I paid for room in full days before my arrival. To be told the room a pay for was not available and there were no other similar available. TV in the room was out of date. Could stream Netflix or any apps. The lotion was half used.

The proximity to Main Street and the waterfall

There were cracks in the toilet and sink, and linens in foldout bed did not look clean.

We enjoyed our stay very much! One of the best things we encountered was the young lady tending bar. Her name is Christina and what an amazing asset to your hotel! Christina was not only extremely friendly and helpful, but she consistently went above & beyond to take care of us! While we enjoyed all aspects of our overnight at your lovely hotel, she was a standout! The room was very comfortable, great beds & pillows. Breakfast the next morning offered a multitude of choices in a very clean-looking environment. Overall, I’d definitely stay with you again when in the area. Excellent value for a fair price, and a very friendly atmosphere!

Valet required and you can't get your own car or park it. Traffic was always backed up so we always felt rushed to get in and out.

The front desk did not tell us when breakfast ended, so we didn’t get the first day’s stay “free breakfast.” I travel extensively and almost never had a breakfast ended at 9:00. Especially with not even coffee, bakery items and fruit for the 9-11 crowd. Afterall, checkout is at Noon!

I didn't like that I had to pay for valet parking because they didn't have close parking for handicap and when I ask about it, I was told that there was parking on the street.

Believe it or not, my work accidentally booked my stay at this Hyatt location rather than the Regency location on Main St. Now that I have stayed at both Hyatt locations downtown I have to say that I was much more pleased with this location. For one, it is quietly nestled on a side street away from the noise and hustle and bustle of downtown. We did have a minor issue with our room but hotel staff took excellent care of use promptly. The first room we stayed in was a bit warm and we were unable to adjust the thermostat as it was "locked". The room we were moved was perfect. I am one who usually strays away from valet service but I will note that due to surrounding parking limitations I opted to use their valet service. I did feel it was a tad steep @ $25 a day but I really enjoyed the convenience; it was really quite nice. As we would leave the room we would request our vehicle through their website/app and by the time we made it to the front it was waiting for us. Every expectation we had hoped for during our stay was met and we left highly satisfied. 9.5/10 - Highly Recommend, will stay again!

The customer service desk people were great.The valet attendant needs some training on what his duty might be.When we pulled up an had to unload all our luggage not good.And the day we departed NO HELP LOADING A HEAVY COOLER. Also only on elevator was working

Good location and friendly staff. The parking entrance can become a bit congested if more than two cars arrive to check in at the same time, but other than that, I didn’t notice any issues. I’d recommend it for business travelers staying in town for a short visit, especially if you’re traveling solo.

Cristina is simply the best. I honestly can’t say enough good things about her. She’s incredibly welcoming, kind, and genuinely cares about every guest she serves. Her positive attitude, great sense of humor, and outstanding service make every visit enjoyable and effortless. Whether it’s drinks, coffee, or food, she always goes above and beyond with thoughtful recommendations and makes you feel like a valued guest. She’s one of the main reasons I keep coming back, and I find myself recommending this place to others because of the experience she creates. Christina is a true asset to the team, and anyone who gets served by her is lucky.

Great hotel, located central to all the highlights of the city. Clean hotel and nice rooms. Very quiet City so noise is not an issue. They have a pool but indoor, would be nice to have an outdoor.

The mattresses at this hotel are extremely old and have permanent XL body-sized indentations. Good luck sleeping! My partner and I were kept up all night from back pain. We tried sleeping with our feet at the head of the bed. That didn’t work. We then tried to sleep on the very edge of the bed to try to find a part of the mattress that wasn’t compromised. That didn’t work. We called the front desk to ask for help because we desperately needed sleep. That didn’t work. 0/10 would not recommend. Not to mentioned the elevators were broken upon check-in and we were on the 4th floor. I recently had knee surgery, so climbing stairs with suitcases was not an option, so we could not even check in fully and were told to just come back later when the elevators would be working. One of the worst hotel experiences.

I had an excellent experience from start to finish! The rooms were beautiful, clean, comfortable, and very well maintained, which made my stay even more enjoyable. A special thank you to Jacob at the front desk! He was incredibly delightful, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout my visit. He went above and beyond to answer my questions and make sure everything went smoothly. His outstanding customer service and positive attitude truly made a difference. I really appreciate all of Jacob’s efforts and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

I booked for a short personal getaway and, as someone who had never visited Greenville before, the hotel’s location is what ultimately made me choose it. Greenville is often described as a walkable city, and this property delivers on that promise beautifully. I was able to walk to nearby murals, public art, statues, restaurants, cocktail lounges, and live music venues without needing to move my car once. A quick note about parking: there is limited street parking (generally time-restricted during the day); so rather than playing musical parking spots, I opted for the hotel’s valet service. It was convenient and completely worth it for a stress-free stay. From the moment I arrived, Cristina at the front desk made a fantastic first impression. She's warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming... hospitality that makes one feel comfortable right away. The hotel itself strikes a great balance between modern and relaxed. The lobby and common areas are spacious and inviting... the kind of spaces where you actually want to spend time. On my second evening, I came down to the bar and ordered a chicken quesadilla and a margarita while watching a game. The food tasted freshly made and was so well seasoned that the salsa, guacamole, and sour cream were almost unnecessary. The margarita was excellent and paired perfectly with the meal. What made that evening even more memorable was discovering that Cristina was also the one who prepared and served my dinner and drink. She handled both roles with the same friendly energy and attention to detail. She truly deserves recognition for the exceptional service she provided throughout my stay. For anyone visiting, I absolutely recommend The Hyatt Place Greenville/Downtown. The unbeatable location, comfortable accommodations, welcoming atmosphere, and standout hospitality made this one of the easiest 5-star reviews I’ve written in a long time.

Great location. Walkable to downtown but quiet surroundings. I wish they offered self parking vs valet but I guess that’s normal for a lot of downtown areas. Staff was welcoming, breakfast was a nice plus and the coffee was amazing. Better than some establishments. Very happy with the stay & would recommend

Hotel itself

Fire drill at 2:30 and being trapped behind a fire door for 40 minutes after waiting 40 minutes outside already. My friend was comped a nights stay for the ordeal but the person I talked to did not do the same for me- and I just said I was ok with 50$

My wife’s corporate office is down the street and we always stay here. Great hospitality!!

Krystal was so friendly and made me feel so welcome. Always had a wonderful experience here and definitely would recommend to family and friends.

Hyatt Place Downtown Greenville is my go-to when I'm in town. Great location, yummy breakfast, and amazing staff. From the front door everything downtown is a quick walk and you'll want to walk this city.

We had a great stay at the Hyatt Place Downtown Greenville! It was a great location and walkable to everything, even for our 4 year old. The Assistant General Manager, Brittany, emailed us before our visit to ask how she could help us. We told her we were visiting for some special occasions. She had balloons, treats and handwritten notes in our room at our arrival. The valet, Colin, was fast bringing up our car, very polite and helpful, and offered us cold water bottles for our car ride when we checked out. It was a great stay! Very impressed.

Excellent location! So close to the beautiful Swamp Trail and fun downtown shops, bars, and restaurants. Hotel was clean, and breakfast was very good with a large lounge. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was great. Very clean. And the valet service was excellent. Perun, one of the valets was exceptional.

From the minute, I got to the front desk, I was created with smiling helpful customer service committed staff. They were able to upgrade without measking, and they let me know that I could have access to the snacks in the room. They also made sure that my room was nottoo close to the elevator, per my request. In addition, my coffee maker in the room was not working, and the man on the Night Shift said most likely maintenance had already left, but hewould try. Next thing I knew a new coffee maker was delivered to my room. Perun had my car ready and waiting for me at 45 per my request as I have a long drive ahead I needed to make sure the car was ready

Hotel was in a great spot downtown- quiet but walkable to main Street and Falls Park to see the waterfalls. The room was very clean, beds were ok, but overall wonderful experience. Cristina helped us with drinks and food one night which was very reasonable and convenient- good chicken tacos and pizza. She was very attentive and helpful. Their variety of food options were a bonus! Pool and workout room clean and useful. We will be back here again.

We had such an amazing time, my friends and I had went to the lobby bar and Cristina was so kind.

This was a great place for us to stay that enabled us to really enjoy the walkability of beautifully improved downtown Greenville. The staff was very helpful in suggesting ways to navigate our way around the downtown area. We also very much appreciate the hotel being pet-friendly.

The only thing we didn't like is how expensive parking at the hotel is, which we know is true of many hotels in urban areas. Honestly no hotels should be allowed to charge their guests more than a minor fee to park. Its a true insult to people who are paying to stay in those places.

Eggs seemed like powdered eggs but it was nice to have other things available. Would rather have separate containers of yogurt vs a bowl that everyone dips out of. Would have like to have soda available for breakfast as well.

Stayed here when we ran a half marathon, the valet was extremely accommodating as we had our bicycles on the back of our vehicle.

Excellent mid-range hotel!! We stayed here for a wedding weekend…they had friendly, responsive valet service, friendly, competent front staff and the hotel was impeccably clean. Kudos to the staff all around! Very safe, walkable area close to the downtown river park and walkable downtown shopping and dining area. Impressed and would recommend!

Location was great not too far from Fall Reedy Park. The walk was 7 minutes from the hotel to the park.

I didn’t like that the room I booked wasn’t so I had to stay in another room the first night but the second night they gave me what I paid for. But they did made up by giving me complimentary parking.

If you’re looking for a hotel for not only comfortable accommodations, the Hyatt Place in downtown Greenville is the place to stay ! The valet attendant Aidan was beyond exceptional. that being said he gave us not only great suggestions, but direction for points of interest, restaurants, museums and included hiking trails and healthy suggestions for the true ultimate friends, vacation, and celebration special. 🎉

Aidan the valet was amazing. I made a comment about how my truck was dirty. I came out the next day morning and he had wiped it down with out me asking. The entire valet staff was spot on!

My stay was excellent from the Valet to the greeting as I walked in. The rooms were clean and beautiful. The big double windows allowed so much light and It was nice having a sitting area in the rooms. I will be back!

Hotel is fine and great location. The parking valet, Perun, was exceptional. This is a semi annual stopover from Fl to Mi My back went out before the trip. We bring a dolly full of stuff to the room. He saw me limping, ran to get the dolly and loaded it for me. So polite and w/o me asking. At 7 am next day the car was waiting and he loaded it up for me. He is a college bound HS senior.
