Tea Plant Nuwara Eliya

We enjoyed our stay at Tea Plant, with a very spacious room offering a lovely view — thank you again for the upgrade. Dinner was also good and generous. However, the hotel really needs some refurbishment (leaks, worn furniture), and the staff could be a bit more professional

Went to the hotel to check in. there was no reception nor a receptionist. we were spoken to by a male who was not even in an uniform. we wanted to check out the room that were assigned to us. the room looked unclean. bedding was torn and dirty. there was a bad odor coming from the room. the pictures that were published in your web site was deceiving. decided not to stay at this property.

This was our first stop in Sri Lanka for one night only and after a nightmare journey with flight cancellations, the staff very kindly allowed us to check in at 5am, which we greatly appreciated. The phone number for the hotel was wrong on Expedia so we struggled to get in touch with them to let them know about our late arrival however our driver was able to contact them for us - so just make sure you’ve got the right contact details in case you need them! The hotel is lovely and we were sad not to have been able to enjoy it for longer!

Amazing hotel! The staff went out of their way to help and accommodate us. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and offer an incredible view. Highly recommend!

We reached the hotel in the night we were so excited , buttttt there was no reception , and they informed that the hotel was fully booked , so we had to leave and check another hotel in the area

It looks nice in the pictures, actual place design is at the presented pictures, nice roof top view, close to the lake

From management perspective this is a very weird place - no customer service whatsoever, no reception, we reached at 6 pm and had to call long time to get anyone’s attention, we were the only guests in the hotel and it looked like haunted house - extremely difficult to find staff - we needed wifi password and change of bedsheets (ours happened to be on blood stain :(( ) food - horrible, we only took breakfast and it was very bad You cannot enter the lake from the hotel as the lake is fenced and paid entrance to lake side is further away Some construction on the sides of the hotel

Nothing. The rooms look nothing like the pictures, the staff are rude and the room view is not as described - instead of showing the tea plantations it’s overlooking a building site

Everything. Avoid this property. Staff are very rude and make you uncomfortable by staring and lingering. The room was mouldy and nothing like what was described.

Good bed. Great view. Unique hotel. Caring staff. Food was good.

Vijay and his team were fantastic. Took care of the smallest of requests with a lot of attention to detail. Vijay is a complete hospitality manual in himself.

Beautiful hotel overlooking the lake. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Best breakfast we've ever had! The service was fantastic, VJ made us feel at home right away and couldn't do enough for us. Everything was perfect from start to finish.

Beautiful property with excellent view of Lake Gregory. Very well decorated boutique hotel with personalize service by the property manager (Mr Vijay) and his team. Knowing that we were leaving very early to hike at Horton plains, they packed sandwiches and fruits for us to bring along.

Great hotel with modern facilities. It felt like more of a home stay rather than a hotel. The food here was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. The only thing missing from this place was a bit of music in the lobby and restaurant... it was very quiet while we were eating!

This was a gem of find. Beautiful boutique hotel close to Lake Gregory. Only 9/10 suites. Rooms were very spacious and general decor of the place was of the highest standard. We loved all the very unique furniture pieces and open plan design of the place that let in a natural light. Aboslultet stunning views of the lake. Very clean and modern with friendly staff. The manager Mr Vijay was a great host. Would highly recommend for short stays when passing through Nuwarelaya.

The hotel is located just a few minutes drive from the city... Peaceful stay with amazing view of Gregory Lake. Room is comfortable and staff are polite and helpful. Would definitely go back again

Es war ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt in einem wunderschönen Ambiente. Atemberaubende Aussicht auf den See und Nuwara Eliya selbst. Der Service war aufmerksam und liebevoll. Wir haben sogar ein Upgrade auf die nächste Zimmerkategorie bekommen. Uns wurde jeder Wunsch erfüllt!
