Shangri-La Bengaluru

We has a very comfortable three night stay in a club room at the Shangri-La Bengaluru with two areas becoming a real highlight. The first was access to the Horizon Club Lounge lead by Amit - a true professional working and leading a very capable team. The lounge gave us all we needed; breakfast in the lounge was more than plenty (we did look at the main breakfast area and - while the spread was extensive - we preferred the sanctuary and personal service of the lounge). Furthermore, the evening cocktails and canapes were exceptional with a wide choice of drinks and food (far more than just a few 'snacks'). We loved spending time in a lounge that was spacious and so well run. Our second highlight was access to the pool; finding a 25m pool in the city is a dream and this pool is really well maintained with great opening hours (opens at 6am so perfect for lengths before sight seeing). That said, although long, it is quite narrow (4 people swimming lengths is a squeeze) so be prepared to breathe in and share, especially on week days! We think this hotel is a great choice if staying in Bengaluru and we would happily return - especially to the Horizon lounge and pool - if we find ourselves in this part of India again. I liked nearly everything. The staff were most of them wonderful and helpful. Food was very good. Transport services were also good.

One staff from the Italian restaurant, a girl, was like not really happy to see clients. No smile and no welcoming qualities, compared to the other staff in that restaurant who were very nice.

Nothing Exceptional. Its does have most of what you expect in a 5 star hotel

The most disappointing was the overall service quality. Either the staff is all new or undertrained. The kind of service that we normally see in Indian 5 star hotels was missing. This I am saying across sections.

What can I say.. Shantrice-la never disappoints. The property is in an great Location with easy access to the airport and downtown. It is clean and well kept. Rooms well maintained and everything worked. Cannot tell you how many hotels I stay in where stuff does not work.. not here. It has a massive real gym! Nice pool and the breakfast buffet is massive. There are other restaurants and was told the Chinese restaurants really good Only thing to call out is that the front desk guy at check was not engaged and has a hard time understanding him. I will stay here again.

The only thing I would save is the food and drink was very pricey but amazing

I’ve been visiting Shangri-La for quite some time, and it’s disappointing to see how much the prices have increased while the portions have noticeably reduced. For example, last year a pot of tea cost around ₹500 and was sufficient for two people. Today, the same tea costs around ₹800, yet the quantity feels much smaller. Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to be limited to just the tea—it’s a pattern I’ve noticed across several items. It gives the impression that the focus has shifted more towards maximizing revenue than ensuring guests feel they’re receiving good value for what they’re paying. Shangri-La has always been known for its luxury and hospitality, but true luxury is about making guests feel valued, not just paying more for less. As a regular visitor, I find this change quite disappointing.

There should be a rocking nightclub at the property , with excellent music and young & sexy swinging crowd ............ this is missing here .

The room is so well furnished, I’m already bed, pillows and quilt. Nice spacious toilet with walk in wardrobe. Probably my 12th stay here and didn’t miss a drink at all time favourite Hype bar on 22nd floor. Breakfast in room was also delicious though they didn’t send jam for my toast! Nice lobby where I had a work meeting as well! Relaxed in the hot jacuzzi at the spa and refreshed at the nice sauna! Spa and pool are nice! Efficient housekeeping and concierge as well.

I opted for a buffet lunch since was hungry. Spread was big and varied with both veg non-veg choices. I opted for soup and North Indian. Was really disappointed with the North Indian menu selection and also taste of basic curries, dal and subzi. Everything was off beat which made me thing if the head chef is really from north India or is a local one! Didn’t relish north Indian lunch for sure.

Amazing breakfast. We checked out in the morning, but our flight was in the evening, so we did some sightseeing. We were allowed to use the spa area and showers when we came back to pick up our luggage in the evening. It was a lifesaver before a 18 hour trip back home.

Very nice hotel, spa was awesome, staff was great. But yes, overall a bit expensive.

Staffs were very helpful.Especially Ms.Joy who assisted us while checking in was very supportive.Their breakfast spread is one of the best i have ever seen.Quality of food was also great.Rooms were big enough.Facilities in swimming pool were top notch.

I’ve stayed at Shangri-La Bengaluru multiple times, and every stay has been amazing. The staff are consistently friendly, professional, and genuinely hospitable. Special mention to Tenzin from the front desk team — she’s incredibly kind, helpful, and always goes the extra mile. Highly recommend!

Looks old and not clean enough

This is the second time I’ve been to this hotel and I am lost for words . The hotel rooms are incredible. Very clean and stylish . Gorgeous in every way. The gym serves its purpose and the pool area charming . The absolute highlight is the fabulous people you have working there and in particular the food at Cafe B. Breakfast is incredible and the choice of food is fabulous. Dinner the same , quality products and cooked by professionals. Now to your team, the restaurant manager Naveen - what a charming charismatic man - he takes personal pleasure in helping every guest and he helped me around the restaurant and looked after me the second I went in until the second I left - naveen - you are a unique talented manager with personality. Now one of the head chefs Aashish , he took it upon himself to assist me and even bought me fresh toast and avocado with pomegranate seeds after a finished a mammoth breakfast, but it was so so delicious. And last but not least , 2 fabulous people you have to serve - service with a smile and two such hard working , professionals MUSKAN and MINHAJ - you are amazing and thank you for making my trip unforgettable.
