# Striking architecture at this JW Marriott We arrived by rental car straight from the airport and were greeted warmly by the doormen, who swiftly valet parked the car for us (included in the nightly rate). We were impressed by the large, soaring lobby. Check in was quick since we had prepaid for our four nights in advance. We made our way to our room on the top floor of Building F. Our ocean view king room was spacious and comfortable, with cold air conditioning, much needed in August. This huge resort looks stunning at night. ## Atmosphere The property feels upscale after dark, with great lighting throughout. In daylight, though, it has a slightly shabby feel. A lot of maintenance is overdue. The adult pool has a serious problem with its beautiful blue tiles loosening and coming away, leaving large expanses of exposed concrete on the pool floor. There are at least eight other pools on the resort, and all of them show the same issue to varying degrees. The decking around the adult pool is a lawsuit waiting to happen, with rotten, cracking wooden slats everywhere. Damaged, unrepaired stonework and woodwork are visible throughout the property. ## Food Very disappointing overall, and far too expensive for the standard on offer. This isn't what you'd expect at 5 star resort. The F&B manager stopped by while we were at one of the pools to ask whether we were happy with the food, and we told him honestly. He invited us to try the BBQ restaurant, which we politely declined, not wanting to spend more money only to be disappointed again. We skipped breakfast entirely, sticking to coffee at the lobby coffee shop, and ate out at night instead, which gave us better food and better value. We had similar issues at the One&Only Palmilla and the Kimpton Mas Olas. It seems to be a trend among SJD resorts, unfortunately. ## Staff The staff were excellent, no issues at all. Christina was a standout. ## Would we stay again? Possibly, as long as the pools are fixed and the food quality improves considerably.
This review is for the Kids Club! From the moment we arrived, the staff was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and attentive, making the kids feel like VIPs right away. The facility itself is impeccably clean, bright, and filled with engaging, thoughtful activities that go far beyond standard daycare—from creative local crafts to fun interactive games that kept the kids genuinely excited to return every day. What really sets this Kids Club apart is the incredible care and enthusiasm of the staff. Shoutout to Paula, Priscilla, Karla, and Sofia. They create a safe, nurturing, and incredibly fun environment where kids can make friends and explore, giving parents total peace of mind to relax and enjoy the resort. If you are traveling to Cabo with family, the JW Marriott Kids Club is a game-changer. It elevated our entire vacation. This is our second time and the Kids Club is a consistent highlight.
Ok. I just got here and I’m already having such a wonderful time…especially at the adult pool area. All the servers are so nice. But my guy…Elier…is cool as a fan and that’s saying alot because it’s hot as hell out here! On my first day…yesterday…Elier ….(I call him Ellie🤭)greeted me and he is so laid back, funny, professional and even remembered my name the next day. He took care of me the whole afternoon when I got here on Sunday and we had a really fun time. Thank you Elier (Elie) for making my first day awesome. Looking forward to see how the week goes. I’m not worried though😊 I’ll check in later about the grounds of the resort and other staff but I just had to give a shout out to my guy!
Elier & Gerardo were great! very welcoming and had amazing service. they made sure our experience was great.
Elier did a wonderful job making sure we enjoyed ourselves poolside. The food is also amazing. A+++
My daughter SAGE who is 3 went to the daycare there called the Nayaa and the staff there really took care of my daughter. She and I really appreciate all the activities arts and crafts ETC... special thanks to PAULA SOFIA KARLA YOIS They really were amazing.
We went for our 25th wedding anniversary. The rooms were amazing and the service was even better. Loved the restaurant variety and the pools were nice! Highly recommended.
We had high hopes for the JW Marriott, but unfortunately the service, particularly from the concierge, Alejandra, was awful. The rooms were beautiful, and Julio at the pool was outstanding. He was friendly, attentive, and truly the only staff member who made us feel genuinely welcome. Unfortunately, our experience with the concierge, Alejandra, was the worst I’ve had after staying at more than 10 resorts in Cabo. She was unhelpful, dismissive, and at times genuinely rude. We were explicitly told breakfast was complimentary, and our receipt was even stamped as free, which we had both the receipt and a photo as proof. However, at checkout, we were told we owed for those breakfasts. Having to dispute charges that had already been documented as complimentary was incredibly frustrating and left us feeling misled. To make matters worse, we were locked out of our room on the morning of our departure. It took an unreasonably long time for staff to get us new keys, causing us to miss our scheduled taxi to the airport. Instead of taking responsibility for the delay, the hotel attempted to charge us additional fees because we missed the original taxi reservation, adding unnecessary stress to the end of our vacation. Overall, it felt like the hotel was constantly trying to nickel-and-dime guests rather than provide the level of service expected from a luxury resort. That’s especially disappointing considering the price we paid. It’s unfortunate because the property itself is beautiful, and we genuinely would have returned. However, the poor service—especially the concierge experience—was enough that we will choose a different resort on our next trip to Cabo.
Service in the spa is amazing. Their only weakness is the front desk staff who is honestly a little cold and unfriendly. Everywhere else they shine brightly. Reading other reviews, it seems consistent that the front desk and check in group are not very warm and welcoming. Maybe something to look at.
We had a couple nights at the Marriott in Cabo and wish we could have stayed longer! The property is beautiful and the beach is gorgeous. Service and food were great as well—big thank you to Elier at the pool who took such good care of us with loungers, drinks and lunch every day. Hoping we can come back!
Beautiful property stayed here in 2024 and came back 2 years later because we loved it so much. I am giving it 4 stars this time instead of 5 for the following reasons 1) We were upgraded to an ocean view room, but unfortunately the trees needed to be cut that the view was completely blocked. 2) The pools are in need of new tile. ESPECIALLY THE ADULT POOL. Not a great feeling being im the pool feelong uneven pool floor. I would think it’s a safety hazard to have tiles from the pool floor loosening.. has the potential to cut someone. I noticed people would put the lose tiles on the edges of the pool. Otherwise it’s a beautiful peaceful property and everyone is very kind and hardworking. I hope next time we return the pool tile situation is reaolved.
This hotel is so great. The staff are so friendly. The food is great - especially the taco place! I really loved the kids club area too. You can leave your kids for a few hours and they can do crafts piñata, making T-shirt, making, etc. but you can also just have them pop in to play anytime you want for free. Priscila Karla Sofia Paula and Yoana were all so great with the kids!
Booked an ocean view room. Had three trees blocking my view, therefore I paid for an ocean room with no view. Went to the lobby three times with no resolution. No one offered to change my room or give me a discount. In the end, I believe the manager gave me 1000 Marriott points. This hotel is very expensive and I would expect better customer service. Also many of the rooms had no Airconditioning. And the gym bathroom was closed. This hotel definitely needs some upgrades. On the more positive note, it’s a very beautiful location. Everyone who works here is very accommodating pools are beautiful. The food is good
We came for 3 nights 4 days with our little girl. The resorts is amazing for families and offered a kids club, which it was my baby’s first time staying at a “daycare”. The staff was just amazing sending me updates and keeping her entertained while me and dad had some time to ourselve at the spa and adults pool. I would most definitely recommend if you have little ones.. thank you Yoana, Paula, Sofia, Karla and Priscilla for making our family stay a great time!!! Would definitely be back
The rooms The beach The staff The location Everything!!
This past weekend, I had the privilege of staying two nights at the fabulous JW Marriott in San José del Cabo for business. The hotel grounds are absolutely immaculate, the rooms are clean and welcoming, and the hospitality from the staff is truly top-notch. I was in need of a special catering order, and Adrian went above and beyond assisting me. Not only did he follow through on every detail, but the end result exceeded my expectations. Exceptional service like this makes all the difference, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit to the JW Marriott San José del Cabo.
Absolutely beautiful hotel! The staff are all exceptionally customer service driven and made our stay that much better. The rooms are beautiful, stayed cool the entire time and have great bathing options. Large tub with stand alone shower. Atherton pools were very family friendly with ledges that kids can walk and play on that extend into the pool and the pool side service was excellent. The kids club was exceptional! My kids (5 & 3) loved going and spending time with the care takers as they were all very lovely and made them feel right at home! They did activities daily from crafts to tye dye shirts, played in the jungle gym and slides, and video games. They even have a cool theatre! We also rented floaties for the kiddos! Great service!
This is our 4th time here. My kids love Paulina and her crew in the kids club, and I love the amazing service (shout out to Luis!) by the pool. My kids painted piggy banks, tye died their own hats, and made a bunch of keychains during our week here. It’s a great place to really relax and it’s really close to flora farms. One thing that really stood out this time was the restaurant manager, Francisco. My younger son took a nasty spill on the morning we were going to fly home. It was quiet and I didn’t know if anyone saw, but Francisco showed up with a popsicle (for both kids to avoid a fight) and later called our room to check if my son was ok. The level of service was great in 2025, but it has skyrocketed in 2026. The addition of evening pajama party for the kids 6-10 is a great addition and we will surely be back.
As I’ve come to learn, “Relish the Festival,” an annual event organized and hosted by the JW Marriott Los Cabos, promises immersion, indulgence, and inspiration. I had the pleasure of winning a Marriott Moment for the 2026 event, though I arrived without a clear understanding of what it entailed—partly due to delayed communication from the hotel. As an insider, I saw how, on the surface—especially through curated TikToks and polished Instagram reels—the JW Marriott Los Cabos presents paradise: golden-hour lighting, artfully plated dishes, and smiling influencers drifting effortlessly from one experience to the next. It’s the kind of marketing that makes you book without hesitation. But the reality, as a paying guest, tells a different story. Somewhere between concept and execution, the focus appears to have shifted away from the people who actually sustain the brand—the loyal guests spending their own money or hard-earned points. Instead, the experience feels designed for a rotating cast of influencers and journalists, flown in to capture the aesthetic rather than live the reality. Their version of the festival—and the hotel—is seamless. Yours… may not be. This disconnect becomes most apparent in the basics. Hospitality, at its core, isn’t about spectacle—it’s about comfort, reliability, and care. Yet it’s difficult to reconcile the effort poured into curated moments with the neglect of fundamental needs. When something as essential as air conditioning is inadequate, or when billing discrepancies arise, it undercuts everything else. No amount of beautifully staged experiences can compensate for a restless night or the absence of straightforward, dependable business practices. And that’s what makes the experience feel conflicted. On one hand, there’s undeniable excellence. The retail and service teams shine—attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in guest interaction. They embody what hospitality should feel like. On the other hand, there’s a sense that the overall operation is striving to be something else entirely: a content machine, a backdrop for social media storytelling, or a misguided revenue strategy that loses sight of the fundamentals required to earn—and keep—a returning guest. So the question becomes unavoidable: what is “Relish the Festival,” and the broader JW Marriott Los Cabos experience, really for? Is it for the real, present guest—the one checking in, hoping for a memorable stay? Or for the digital audience, watching from afar and consuming a version of the experience that doesn’t quite exist? Right now, it feels as though the hotel is caught between two identities: one grounded in traditional hospitality, the other chasing curated visibility. The intention is admirable, even exciting. But intention without consistency creates a gap—and guests fall into it. “Relish the Festival” or the JW Los Cabos doesn’t need more production. It needs recalibration. Bring the focus back to real people. Real stays. Real comfort. Let the experience be something guests feel, not just something others see.
My husband and I returned to the JW Marriott resort & spa after first «discovering» it last September. We went this time specifically to celebrate my husband’s birthday. All of the staff made sure that we were well taken care of. Ximena worked with me prior to our arrival to plan an extra special dessert served on March 27, my husband’s actual birthday. We had a wonderful dinner at Marhumo followed by a dessert tray with edible elements of what my husband makes for a living (he is in the game industry). When we were at the tacqueria, Brayam, Raul, and Ismael gave my husband a dessert tres leches cake dressed in their luchador masks! It was very fun. The spa was wonderful and we especially enjoyed the long pool where it is possible to swim laps. The pool beside it with the fountains is very relaxing. The JW Marriott Beach Resort & Spa is our favorite hotel in Mexico. We will definitely be back to visit as soon as we can!
The hotel was aesthetically, beautiful and service was great. The best part was the kids club. There were also wonderful little touches like a cake and balloons in the room for my bday
Everything was amazing! A huge shout out to the kids club (Yois, Sofía, Paula & Karla). My son enjoyed his time there so much which meant I got to enjoy my time as well (gave me time to go to the gym and the spa - which is fabulous! - with no mom guilt! The hotel is beautiful, service is top notch and the food in general is great. Highly recommend for families but is great for an adult getaway as well.
This JW Marriott experience has been disappointing at multiple levels. Because of TSA delays of around 4-5 hours, we missed our flight and managed to rebook for the next day. JW Marriott was informed right away and there was no consideration on their part and we had to pay no show penalty of one night stay. I requested the reservation manager if they could extend the stay for one night, Marriott resort credit or future stay credit. As a consolation I was offered 5000 bonus points for a room that was close to 100K points. When we arrive the next day at 2 PM, had to wait for the room check in even though they charged us for the night before. Not just that, second night was a disaster with the loud generator buzzing over our ears making impossible for all of us to sleep or relax in our balcony. There was a power outage and we had the room next to an industrial grade generator. Apparently they could not change the room. Manager apologized and understood our frustration but could not do anything about it . I would expect something more than that from a premium 5-star property
We have been to this resort several times and enjoyed it. That said, on our last visit we were severely disappointed due to the fact that my wife's $4,000 necklace was missing from our room. The safe box in our room was not operational. We followed management's protocol, filed necessary paperwork and after their investigation JW Marriott will not take responsibility and reimburse for our loss. Bottom line, the resort bears responsibility and liability for the safety and security of it's patrons and belongings. They are not doing that.
Excellent stay as always at the JW Marriott, beautiful views from the pool and five star service from everyone. Axel the front desk Manager is the best and made our stay unforgettable.
I am very impressed with this property. The nature is really superb around it. We are traveling with 3 teenagers and this was during spring break, yet the property never seems to be at capacity and it was tranquil relaxation which likely didn’t suite my kids as it did for my wife and I. Staff is well trained. Amenities top notch. Details below: Rooms We had two rooms in Bld A which has unobstructed ocean views. Nothing beats that, but the rooms are spacious. Very well appointed and updated (do not feel tired). Terraces are big and spacious. Room service was impeccable in terms of cleaning and cadence. We never had to ask for them to come - they just did it seamlessly well. Gym Large and spacious with a ton of equipment. Open 24 hrs. The only small nit - no peloton. But overall- pretty impressive. Food We had for breakfast buffet which was a typical Marriott high standard. It wasn’t as opulent as Marriott Dubai and lacked variety of Tokyo Marriott, but it had everyone would require. I would give it 8 out of 10 overall rating. We also tried restaurants on property for dinner but I would not recommend it in terms of culinary experience. It was a bit pedestrian. There are far better options in town and concierge is very helpful in setting them up. Beach I really live this beach with the sound of waves almost deathening and the breeze. I spent a ton of time there. Then again I am not a pool person. But if you are - you will be happy with abundance of pools both adult only and mix. One note - if you are a novice swimmer, don’t go to the ocean. Waves are pretty wicked. But I lived it. Overall My ultimate litmus test: would I want to come back? This one is a resounding yes!

Awesome resort amazing food vista the little town nearby it’s so cute!!!
We got married at the resort in January and it was a great experience. The JW team lead by Avril did a fantastic job and we were blown away by the attentiveness of the staff. You could tell they cared greatly about making it a special moment.
My wife and I had an amazing week at the JW Marriott Los Cabos. The grounds are stunning, and the pools are absolutely beautiful — it seemed like every other one was heated! There were plenty of lounge chairs available, though it did get a bit busier over the weekend. Our oceanfront room was lovely and comfortable, with a great view of the sea. The only small downside was that the bathroom and shower could have used a bit more lighting, but that’s really the only critique I can come up with. The staff made the stay exceptional — from valet and reception to housekeeping and restaurant service, everyone was warm, helpful, and professional. Special shoutout to Damian (Valet/Bellman), Jazmine (Housekeeping), and Alison at Ua Culinary Artisans for their friendliness and attention to detail. And I can’t forget Rigoberto, who made the best omelet every morning! Overall, this was a fantastic stay, and I would absolutely return to this property on my next trip to San José del Cabo. Highly recommend!
Kids club was great! Paula, Karla, Sofia, Yous and Priscilla were fantastic. They were professional and great with the kids.
Do not trust this hotel with your credit card. I modified a reservation to a lower rate room, which they confirmed in writing at the lower rate. Instead of refunding the difference (~$2,000), they manually manipulated my final bill to keep my original deposit. They added a fake 'Room Charge (Manual)' for a date I wasn't even at the hotel = charging me $2,000 for a night I didn't even stay at the hotel! When I emailed them, the Reservations staff blatantly lied and claimed they never do manual adjustments--until I sent them their own receipt showing the word 'Manual' printed right on it. This isn't just bad service; it's fraud. Avoid this sketchy hotel at all costs. It's also way too far away from the actual town anyway - stay somewhere closer, more honest, and more reliable. Then you don't have to spend 45 minutes ubering or driving back and forth from various attractions and sites.
This was my third stay at the JW Los Cabos, and based on conversations with other guests, it’s clearly a place people return to. This year, my four year old son joined me for a father son trip, and thanks to the onsite kids club, we both had an incredible time. Before the trip, I spent a lot of time trying to understand how the kids club worked, so I wanted to share our experience. The kids club is open 365 days a year and offers both half day and full day options for children ages four and up. With the full day option, lunch is included. My son was able to choose what he wanted to eat each day, and it appeared to be the same kids menu offered through room service, the cheese pizza was a big hit. Paula, Gina, Karla, and Sofia at the kids club were fantastic. My son couldn’t wait to spend his days there and asked to go back every morning. While I initially felt a bit guilty not spending every moment together, he genuinely loved the program. It allowed me to enjoy the gym, spa (great place), and adult pool area each day before picking him up in the afternoon, followed by a few hours of swimming together before dinner. The kids club has an indoor playground along with organized activities, and my son came back to the room each day with something new: a tie-dye shirt, tie-dye hat, painted box, picture frame, and more. As others have mentioned, there are some minor maintenance issues, such as loose pool tiles, which I hope will be addressed. That said, the property is incredibly serene, even at full capacity it feels peaceful and uncrowded, making it easy to truly relax.
Our family of 5 had an absolutely delightful visit over New Years! The resort hosted a really fun New Year’s Eve Dinner Party that everyone loved including my teens and seven year old! The fireworks, music, decor and photo stations helped us create family memories that will last a lifetime! I would love to return again with a group of families for the New Year’s Celebration in the future! The staff at this resort couldn’t have been more accommodating. They went out of our way to ensure we had a lovely experience! They went above and beyond to accommodate my unique dietary needs even allowing me to order a meal off menu at the pool. A special thank you to Kevin, and our server at the tranquil terrace who I forgot his name! Another highlight for my seven year old was the complimentary cookie baking class hosted by Celia and the head pastry chef at the resort! We made delicious cookies and got to take them back with us. Everyone from the staff at check in, to the servers at the restaurants we visited, Ruth our maid, and Angel our bellman, went above and beyond to be friendly and make our experience lovely! I would gladly return.
Disappointed in the JW Marriott. We are loyal Bonvoy Members and have stayed at many other JW Marriotts but this one needs some maintenance. Definitely doesn't feel like a 5 star resort. The pools are especially in need of repairs. The exterior stucco shows lots of deferred maintenance as well. The spa lacks the 5 star experience. The return on value was definitely not there for the amount of money they are charging. Unfortunately wont be a return guest.
Overall, the property itself is very nice. The hotel is well maintained, the service in general is good, and the variety of pools is a big plus. Unfortunately, several issues significantly impacted my stay. The checkout process was extremely frustrating, and the staff Hugo were not professional or clear when explaining the bill. I was initially overcharged for breakfast which was supposed to be free within the package I bought, which required additional follow-up. More concerning was a safety issue at the hot tub. Loose or falling tiles caused me to slip and cut my toe, resulting in bleeding. I filed an incident report on-site after calling medical team. Despite the injury and clear safety risk, the hotel offered only 2,000 points, which was inadequate given the situation. The food was pricey though the restaurant staff was friendly. This property has strong potential, but improvements are needed in billing transparency, staff professionalism at checkout, and guest safety around the pool and hot tub areas.
We recently had our wedding at this resort and are so happy with our experience. From the very beginning, Avril the JW wedding coordinator was an absolute joy to work with - she was warm, responsive, and incredibly professional. We first toured the venue in the middle of the humid summer, and even then she guided us through the property with patience, kindness, and vision. The moment we walked through the large archway and into the marble-lined space, we knew this was the place. The modern-meets-classic design, Japanese-inspired touches, ocean views, and overall ambiance created the exact feeling we wanted: elegant, serene, and unforgettable. Throughout the planning process, Avril remained available. She honored previously discussed pricing without hesitation and even surprised us with a beautiful post-wedding setup that made the experience feel extra special. The front desk team was also wonderful, going out of their way to ensure our guests felt taken care of and even helping move my maid of honor into a better room. Honestly, thank you so much Avril for your coordination and patience. Our wedding day itself was perfect. The service was top-notch, the food was delicious and timed beautifully so we could relax and enjoy the evening, and drinks were constantly flowing thanks to the incredibly attentive waitstaff. The lobby bar then fire pits created the perfect atmosphere for a fun post-party hangout, and our guests who stayed onsite could not stop complimenting their stay. The staff continued to be kind, accommodating, and relaxed especially the next day, allowing us to unwind and truly enjoy time by the pool. Also, the food onsite and room service food were delicious! JW was perfect - the natural beauty, ocean backdrop, calming energy, and romantic setting created an intimate and breathtaking environment that exceeded every expectation. We are so grateful we chose this venue to celebrate such an important day in our lives. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a stunning, modern, and oceanside wedding location with thoughtful staff, exceptional service, and a truly magical atmosphere.
We stayed at the Casa Maat section of the JW Marriott. It is exclusive and includes fresh breakfast, snacks and drinks throughout the day, as well as various happy hours featuring high end drinks. If you want to get away from the more crowded parts of the hotel and get personalized service, I highly recommend Casa Maat. The lead Butler, Jesus, and his staff make the stay exceptional. Once they got to know us, we didn’t have to ask for a particular coffee or drink as they magically appeared, delivered by Antonio, Zitlali, or Aaron, with a smile. Dassaed took care all our daily needs with cars, reservations, etc. I cannot express how much they made our week exceptional.
We’ve stayed at the JW Marriott several times over the last couple of years. If half stars were an option I’d give them a 4.5, but I will round up as I think they deserve a “great” over just “good”. Typically we stay in Casa Maat, but this past stay we needed a suite to have a separate space for our baby, so we stayed at the main hotel. We booked an oceanfront suite. The suite was spacious and intelligently designed. We liked that we could have the sliding doors open when baby was awake and closed while baby was napping for privacy and quiet. The bathroom was huge and we appreciated the 2nd bathroom. The outdoor space was fantastic, the view was great and a perfect place to hang out during naps or after bedtime. Food and beverage is solid and fairly priced compared to Cabo resorts these days. We enjoyed Cafe des Artists, but found their new concept Marhumo to be the star. Their version of the Naked and Famous cocktail was excellent and the food we had (empanadas, fish of the day, and the paella like rice dish) and it was all really good. It was a slow time of year so the resort definitely wasn’t full and the service/housekeeping was all good. They provided a fridge, kettle, and crib for us so we had everything we needed for the baby. We had no issues getting Ubers to the San Jose area for dinners (about 15 min ride). It was even more baby friendly than we expected and while not everything was perfect, it’s a really good choice and we’d absolutely stay again.
We have spent a short 4-day birthday getaway at the JW Marriott Los Cabos and were blown away by the wonderful experience. The property is truly beautiful, spacious rooms invite to relax, all the restaurants offer good dining options, the pools are well kept, embedded in beautiful landscaping and were never crowded, and the Jasha Spa is truly a gem for lush relaxation, the Hot Stone Massage was wonderful. But most importantly, the staff in all departments was fantastic, welcoming, and helpful. Yessica at Front Desk, Chrystopher at Concierge, Luis at the Marhumo restaurant, Ruben at breakfast are just a few names we remember among other wonderful team members who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, like our wait staff and sommelière at the outstanding Café des Artistes fine dining restaurant. Very helpful was the hospitality room we were granted on the day of our check out. We returned home refreshed and rejuvenated and will certainly come back! Oliver & Asish, Los Angeles
Great for the family! JW Marriott Kids corner was amazing! Our 5 year old wanted to go everyday! Clean, safe, fun! Paula, Gina, Sofia, Karla gracias! We also didn’t pack enough diapers for our baby, and concierge Chrystopher came through for us on our last day! Excellent service and beautiful resort.
The breakfast was good - however they put our families in different parts of the hotel and couldnt eat together for some reason. We had to argue with them every morning.
The shuttle service was terrible. They charged us in full when our flight was delayed and wouldn't wait. They were super rude about it. They put our family in three different budlings and couldn't eat breakfast together. The photos make it look like there is beach access, but there is NONE!!! no beach. The pools were cold. They all had tons of missing tiles. looked beat up. The children's area was terrible. They show photos of game room which is equipped. but there were no ping pong balls and the video game area just had hanging wires and one broken PlayStation 2. The location is terrible. The activities they present on the website are a 2 hour drive away. There was a leak in our hotel room and we had to ask 3 times to fix it. The bathroom was flooded and I slipped at night.
We just celebrated our daughter's wedding at the JW Marriott Los Cabos in mid-November. After touring at least 6 other nearby high-end hotels, we felt the clear leader was the JW. We were not disappointed at all with our choice, in fact just the opposite. The venue of course turned out to be perfect. However it was the all the hotel staff, the amenities, the professionalism, the rooms, the location, the food and beverage, and the warmth of the service that made it 5 Star all around for us and all of our guests. The Brightest Star though, that literally made our daughter's dreams come true, was Avril Gonzalez Martin the Wedding Coordinator at the JW. She was an absolute pleasure to work with. From the very first meeting she made us feel like we made the right choice and it just kept getting better. She was extremely responsive, knowledgeable, patient, and very kind throughout the process. She oversaw all of the many details that go into a large wedding with ease and was there with us from start to finish to make sure the ultimate delivery was seamless and perfection. We could not have done this without her leadership/advice and we are forever indebted to this wonderful person. Thank You Avril!!!
It's a nice hotel, check in staff could have been more helpful in helping to resolve resrvation mixup issues. Eventually was resolved thanks to the reservations manager a day later but kudos to him for going above and beyond and saving the situation
We had the most delightful three night getaway to the JW Marriott in Cabo! Karla and the team welcomed us so warmly and the amazing service continued from there. Everyone was friendly and prompt and helpful. Real service with a smile. We had no problem getting chairs where we wanted them, which is a rarity for a resort like this, especially at a peak time. (we were there right before Thanksgiving.). Towels were always abundant. The room rooms were lovely. The food was consistently good at all of the restaurants we especially liked Barhumo. Shout out to amazing bar service from Errick and table service from Jesus Eduardo. The gym was great. And the spa divine. And the prices were quite reasonable compared to other five star resorts in the area. Proximity to airport and San Jose del Cabo convenient. Overall, we had the best time and we will definitely go back. The only thing I would note is that the room has many many adjoining rooms and yet both we and our friends were unable to secure them for our kids, despite having asked in advance. For both of our reservations, they actually jar assigned the kids in different buildings! So if you are hoping for adjoining rooms, I would suggest you call and email and make sure that they have your preference well in advance because it seems that once the rooms are assigned, they are not really able to move things around.
Breakfast was very good.We ordered off the menu. We had dinner at Cafe Artists. Service was excellent, food not so good. My filet was strange. For the price I should have had a nice piece of meat.
The vibe of the lobby
I wish I could give this hotel a even higher review! It was amazing from the time I stepped on the property to when I left. The property is absolutely gorgeous! It has something for everyone, kids zone, adult pool, quiet space to relax. I can’t recommend this property enough. You won’t be disappointed
I was so excited to be staying at the JW Marriott in Los Cabos with my friend for a 5-night stay. Unfortunately, the hotel was not up to par. Tiles were missing all over the pool. We would walk through the pool to the swim-up bar, and we were stepping on broken tiles! UGH! We had to ring maintenance to come and fix the light in the closet, because the light would stay on when you closed the doors. It worked for one night, then the light came on again. We just gave up. The toilet plumbing was not great (had to flush several times). The food at the Sushi bar was terrible! So expensive and really, really bad! We chatted with a few guests while we were at the pool, and they said the same thing. One man was there for a meeting, and he said the food they served was awful. The drinks at the bar were ridiculously expensive. One day by the pool, we were not drinking alcohol, but we wanted ice for our water. We kept asking for ice, and nobody would bring us a glass of ice! This was October, so not the high tourist dates. I was expecting so much from this top tier property.
This is simply a great Marriott property-the food, service, ambience and employee interaction is outstanding. Love the taco place! We will be back!
The resort is large and beautifully designed, offering a relaxing and open atmosphere. Overall, the staff were friendly and accommodating throughout my stay.
Although there are many pools, the main one with the best ocean view was extremely crowded — it felt more like “half people, half water,” so it wasn’t ideal for relaxation. Room amenities and items like cups were not refilled properly; I had to call to request them, and even then, I needed to follow up again before they were delivered. One of the amenities provided had already passed its expiration date. The resort is quite isolated, so you’ll need to take an Uber or taxi to go anywhere outside (though this is typical for the area). Overall, the experience felt just slightly below expectations in small details. My room was listed as “ocean view,” but it was actually more of a side ocean view.
Every single thing about this hotel was first class all the way! The staff was amazing- exceptional service from Axel, Jajir, Roy and Jesus, to the just superb service at the restaurant Cafe Artist- which I’ll be surprised if they don’t receive a Michelin Star soon- simply amazing all the way around- the pools were clean and gorgeous and the views were captivating. Even the room service food was amazing. Can’t wait to go back!
It looks and feels like a proper luxury hotel. From infrastructure to service, to food. For the rate, hard to match in the area. And it's close to San Jose downtown, to get good local food.
If I could give a 10-star rating for this hotel, I would. My husband and I had one of the best vacations of our lives at the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa September 20 – 30, 2025. From our check-in with Karla and Yessica to our chat with Ximena before leaving, we experienced excellent service and attention from the entire team. Most of our mornings began with a visit to the Auka Deli, where Enrique and Irena greeted us with smiles and prepared our delicious iced coffee drinks. We would then make our way out to the Adults pool to swim a bit before having drinks and lunch poolside. Reynaldo, Johnnie, Roy, Alberto, Yair, Jesus, and Nestor all took great care of us there. I highly recommend the piña colada with the carved parrot perched on the side! The Jasha Spa is an incredible place to relax at the hotel. I used the long lap pool several times and we both enjoyed the pool with the individual “waterfalls” – very useful for loosening up the shoulders. My husband and I had massages together on one of our first days and it set the relaxed tone of our stay. Jennifer was very helpful when I got lost in the spa (in my defense, it IS quite spacious). I also had a pretty manicure done by Yarmileth and she was very nice to chat with. All of the restaurants on the property are of the highest quality. At Marhumo, Eduardo made some good recommendations and we liked our dinner so much that we returned there a couple of days later. For tacos, we made our way to El Luchador, where Brayam and Raul introduced us to some new flavors – over our three dinners there! We also loved our dinner outdoors at Casa Maat, thanks to Gustavo. The Niparaya JW Bar had delicious sushi and teppanyaki and Nicholas was a charming host. The Café Des Artistes restaurant was a marvelous experience in a fusion of French and Mexican cuisine, with beautiful live music. We appreciated the recommendations made by Steve and Carla there. The breakfast buffet at UA is plentiful and we savored the food there. Mark took care to make sure we knew about all the food options. During our stay we met Monteserrat, who is in charge of the beer and tequila tastings and she is also a wine expert. We learned a lot about Mexican beers and tequilas. Samantha, the person in charge of Room Service, was a joy to talk with. Ximena checked in with us on several occasions to make sure everything was going well on our visit. The sparkling personalities of all of these ladies were truly a delight. We absolutely love the JW Marriott Hotel & Spa. I have tried to remember all the names of the staff we encountered, but if there is anyone whose name I forgot please except my apologies. You are all so kind and attentive – thank you so much. My husband and I are already making plans to return in March. We have found our happy place in San Jose del Cabo!
September seems to be low season so it wasn’t too busy. The rooms are immaculate, the staff were so attentive and we loved the pool bar. The scenery and ocean are stunning. Buffet breakfast was great too.
Just returned from an incredible 3-day stay at JW Marriott, and I can’t stop raving about this place! What sets this hotel apart isn’t just the luxury amenities (though those are impeccable) - it’s the extraordinary staff culture that made our trip unforgettable. **The Team Spirit is Unmatched** From the moment we arrived, we noticed something special about the staff. They genuinely seem to enjoy working together and supporting each other. Restaurant staff would enthusiastically recommend their colleagues at other venues, creating a wonderful sense of camaraderie. Everyone was warm, smiling, and eager to help throughout our entire stay. **Outstanding Dining Experiences** The coffee shop staff were absolutely delightful - genuine, fun conversations paired with excellent coffee and to-die-for chocolate truffles. Marhuma restaurant delivered spectacular food (the octopus and short ribs were incredible) with gorgeous outdoor seating overlooking the pool and mountains. Restaurant manager Sophie and chef Javier provided exceptional, warm service that made us feel like VIPs. **Cafe D’Artiste - The Crown Jewel** But the real star was Cafe D’Artiste and its phenomenal team. We ended up dining there the first night and returning every evening for dessert and live music. Restaurant manager Erika is simply outstanding - when her bartender was out, she stepped behind the bar and crafted the most amazing tamarind mezcal and lychee martini (made with natural pulp, no syrups!). Her warmth and engagement made us feel like we’d made a new friend instantly. The entire team - Chef Mario, Enrique, Carla, and sommelier Montse - went above and beyond accommodating my wife’s food intolerances while creating magical evenings filled with wonderful live music. On our third night, the French-Mexican chef even came out to meet “the couple who’s been coming every night” after just returning from Puerto Vallarta. His genuine sweetness and passion for sharing the restaurant’s history was the perfect cap to our experience. **Impeccable Facilities** The gym and spa were absolutely pristine - I even witnessed staff polishing the wooden bases of lounge chairs, showing their incredible attention to detail. **Bottom Line** This is hospitality at its finest. Cafe D’Artiste alone deserves Michelin recognition, and the entire JW Marriott team has created something truly special. We’re already planning our return and will definitely be visiting the original Cafe D’Artiste location in Puerto Vallarta. Highly recommended!
Our stay at the JW Marriott Los Cabos was nothing short of extraordinary — even Mother Nature couldn’t shake that. During our visit, we experienced both an earthquake and a hurricane, yet the staff’s professionalism, calm, and genuine care turned what could have been a stressful situation into a story we’ll remember fondly. The ocean-view suite was breathtaking, with sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez that felt like something out of a dream. Waking up to that view each morning was pure serenity. The culinary experiences were another highlight — every meal was fresh, creative, and delicious, showcasing the best of local flavors with impeccable presentation. What impressed us most was how seamlessly the resort handled everything during the unexpected weather events. Safety measures were communicated clearly, service never wavered, and the atmosphere remained peaceful and welcoming throughout. JW Marriott Los Cabos exceeded every expectation — a place where luxury meets resilience and hospitality shines even in the most unpredictable moments. We can’t wait to return to this remarkable resort.
Food on site was too expensive. Lighting in bathroom was too dark. Bathroom by pool was too far
The hotel is very spacious and well planned. Breakfast buffet at Ua Restaurant was wonderful. The best meal during our vacation was at the hotel restaurant, Cafe des Artistes. Rooms are very well appointed and comfortable. Overall, we felt pampered and very well taken care of—carefree experience. We would definitely stay again.
The level of hospitality here from the beginning to the end was amazing. Special mention to Elifonso for always going out of his way to assist us during our stay. Another special mention to Hector who went above and beyond to assist my wife when she was having a great stroke. Please make sure you tip these fine staff members as they treated us more like family than guests. The room we got was the Taypa Suite, the best room in the hotel. We had our own hot tub on the balcony that we could use 24/7. The BVGALRI soaps and lotions were so good, and I loved the stool for the shower. The atmosphere with the tile layout made for a much cooler feeling inside the room. Housekeeping was amazing, and I can't speak enough on the cleanliness of our room. Our housekeeper Juliana even made us a towel rabbit, it was too cute! As far as the noise level of the room was concerned, we went during the off season. So the hotel was pretty empty, which made for a more quiet experience. The Jasha Spa was amazing as well! And when booking a spa treatment you get access to the facilities the whole time it's open. I highly recommend it. We went to Luchador Tacos on September 15 for their Mexican Independence celebration and it was so much fun! Also Marhumo is an amazing wood grilled restaurant that we smelled our entire stay on our balcony. The swim up adult only bar was also a must when visiting. Pina Coladas in the water can't be beat. The only negative things I have aren't really the hotels fault. For example, this resort is huge, so much so that we requested golf cart service to pick us up so we can go to the lobby for excursions or to meet our drivers. Also the location of the hotel had two issues. The first being that we were next to the Sea of Cortez, so swimming in that water was not allowed. Plenty of pools, but you would have to go to Cabo San Lucas to swim in the Pacific Ocean side. The second issue is that the resort was so far away from anything else. To get to Cabo San Lucas out was over 30 minutes, to get to San Jose del Acbo it was around 15. So keep that in mind, but I'm not going to fault the resort for that. In fact it added to the quiet environment that we enjoyed so much. Finally the value of this location. Let be real, you get what you pay for. If you want cheap, go pay for it. I knew that I was spending a lot, but I feel like I got my money's worth. Amazing room, amazing staff, amazing amenities don't come cheap. In the end I highly recommend staying here if you want to enjoy a luxury get away, and say hi to Elifonso and Hector for me!
I see why so many guests come back, and I will be doing that too after such an amazing experience! The staff and service are amazing, so accommodating and genuinely wonderful - they made our stay perfect. We ate at 4 of the many restaurants and the poolside fish tacos by one of the seven pools - sooo delicious. 5+ stars on everything
We stayed 7 days here for our baby moon in early September and it was such a wonderful experience for us that we would definitely stay here again when we revisit San Jose del Cabo in the future. This property is located inside a small gated community similar to the hotel zone in Cancun but much smaller. Our Uber driver had to give his drivers license to the security at the gate and they also opened the trunk to make sure there were no suspicious goods. The checkin process was very smooth and the staff were very friendly. We were offered drinks to relax while waiting for our room to be ready. The room was very spacious with an unobstructed view of the beautiful ocean. The AC in the room worked well, in fact maybe too well sometimes. :) We had every meal in the resort since we came here just to relax and enjoy our time there thus we did not want to venture outside of the resort much. Being a Bonvoy titanium member, we were offered free American breakfast with a discounted upgrade to the buffet option. We alternated between the two throughout our stay. What surprised me more was that we were also offered free buffet on a couple of days when there was a hurricane. I did not expect the resort to compensate for things out of their control but they did and it was a very pleasant surprise. Early September is the valley season there so we had plenty of pool chairs and most people stayed near the adult pool which also has a swim up bar. The property also has a few other pools with a dedicated private pool for guests staying at the Casa Maat. The most outstanding and memorable experience during our entire stay was the service. Every staff member that we interacted was excellent and extremely helpful. We did not need to signal to them to help out with the pool chair, or ordering food or drink. They would constantly checking on us a making sure everything was good. This type of exceptional service was something that I would not forget and would also be the reason for me to stay here again when I revisit this part of the world. I especially appreciate our Elite Ambassadors Karla & Axel. They handled many of our requests during the stay and were extremely helpful. There are also many member of the staff that I want to thank them for their excellent services but unfortunately I could not remember all their names. I would say this is definitely a resort to stay in if you plan to visit this part of the world.
Wonderful property tucked away in a private community near a golf course and on the beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful at all times, the service for breakfast and near the pool is great, and the facilities are well kept. Definitely recommend a stay here. It’s very warm during the low season due to the heat and humidity but you’ll get a great deal on a room and platinum elite members enjoy perks like access to the spa facilities and the complimentary buffet breakfast daily.
Always clean and had all the amenities in perfect condition
I only wish the the pool has a little bit of shade maybe from a tent or something because you just can’t hide from the sun while being in the pool
We enjoyed our week stay even with the unusual high humidity. It was a slow period and the property was not crowded at all and we could see lots of maintenance going on. Lounge chairs and umbrellas were plentiful. The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. Even though we had a first floor room in Building F, this was perfectly fine- only 1 working ice machine on the 3rd floor was a little inconvenient. The housekeeping crew did a great job every day. Not having a beach access was no big deal for us- the resort had 9 different pools to choose- pool attendants and servers were always there for help. As with most resorts, the food and drink prices were high; we took advantage of the coffee shop in the lobby every day. We did our research and ate out for dinner every night; ubers were very convenient for short as well as longer rides. Highly recommend Seven Seas Grille (30 min away) and Acre (15 min away).
I have stayed at many Marriott properties worldwide, but this was by far the worst experience I’ve had with a manager in the entire brand. When we returned to our room, we found the bathroom ceiling leaking water. The situation was handled extremely poorly no apology, no effort to make things right, and just attitude when we asked for a different room so we wouldn’t have to waste our vacation waiting for repairs. This is the lowest level of professionalism I’ve ever encountered at any Marriott hotels. The company should seriously review this manager’s qualifications because experiences like this make me reconsider staying with Marriott in the future.
Does not have elevators to the pools and restaurants, 3 storey escalators and long long distances to go anywhere and do anything. Hotel Far far away from anything.
We had a fantastic stay here! The architecture was quite interesting - it was like staying in a massive sand dune. Though that sounds bad, it was actually stunning and is one of the nicest Maririott we have ever stayed in. As we are elite members, we checked-in in a separate room with a complimentary drink and some snacks. The guy wasn't the friendliest but ok. Elite members had breakfast in a different area and it was quite good and had lots of variety. We went to the spa but didn't get any services. We just used the spa pools and hung out one day. The general pools were fairly busy. The beach was quiet and there is a spot to sit on the beach if someone isn't there. You can sit back and watch the whales. There were so many! Elite members were invited to have snacks and free drinks one night as well. This was a surprise. There is a taco place there which was open air and was quite good. This place is luxurious and relaxing and I would go back for sure.
Had a great stay as a family of 4. Food and service was excellent. Pools need some maintenance but nothing that disrupted our stay. Our 5 and 2 year old girls really enjoyed the kids club, they have several activities that they can pick from. They communicated thoughtfully and with care, Paula, Gina, Karla & Sofia took great care of our girls while the adults enjoyed some quality time.
It was one of the most stunning views and a super romantic resort—not for partiers. The private beach, excellent food, and fantastic staff were also highlights. Special thanks to Francisco, one of the managers, for being so gracious and kind. The restaurant staff to the hostesses- top-notch. Jose and the team. Valet- 3 mins wait time, and the guys are great. I would rather pay a bit in Cabo to get top-tier service, and the beachfront was stunning. I will be back. The place is super clean, and at night, you can hear the waves. Every person entering the property is checked.
We recently stayed at the JW Marriott Los Cabos on a couples trip and, unfortunately, left disappointed with the overall service experience—especially considering the reputation and standards expected from a global brand like JW Marriott. We go to Cabo two, sometimes three times per year and we decided to give JW Marriott a chance and from the moment we arrived, the reception experience set a poor tone. The front desk staff displayed a lack of warmth, attentiveness, and attention to detail that was noticeable throughout our stay. It often felt like the team was simply going through the motions, lacking genuine hospitality or engagement. This was not the level of service we’ve come to expect from luxury hotels, particularly in a destination like Cabo where service excellence is usually the norm. While the food was undeniably very good, the overall value did not meet expectations. Drinks were overpriced—even by luxury standards. We’re accustomed to paying premium prices (e.g., $30 usd+ for a Paloma), but the service that should accompany those prices simply wasn’t there. It’s disappointing to say this, but our experience has made us seriously reconsider returning. Perhaps we’ve been spoiled by other high-end hotel brands in Cabo that consistently deliver exceptional service across the board. We encourage JW Marriott’s leadership and senior management to invest in better training and staff development. The current guest experience is not aligned with the brand’s prestige. Hospitality should feel sincere—not forced.
Exceptional experience! Stunning sea views, spotless surroundings, and outstanding service. Dinner at Café des Artistes was a highlight—thank you Enrique and pianist Bernardo (and Erika). Christina at concierge was incredibly helpful. Loved the fresh juice at UA for breakfast—thanks to Mark, Gustavo, and the whole team. Grateful for it all!
Not very accommodating and just laughed at my situation
We were at the JW Marriott from July 26 through August 1. It was absolutely stunning!!!! The staff were just completely accommodating. Pool areas are large and beautiful with constant service. This resort easily accommodates adults and families. The property has a lot of restaurant options. The breakfast buffet is the star of the show!!! Lots of fresh fruit along with made to order omelets and donuts. Also an absolutely awesome charcuterie board! Oh, the Taco shop at the hotel is delicious! The only food offerings that wasn’t out of this world, was the Asian restaurant. This is a self contained resort with lots of offerings. There are a number of nearby golf courses. The nightlife of Cabo San Lucas is about 20 minutes away. Always use Uber, way cheaper than the cabs. Also, don’t miss Art Walk in San Jose Cabo (which is where the JW is located. All in all, this is a fantastic resort! With a lovely staff
Once again the JW Los Cabos delivers for me and my family. This was my 40th birthday and was a very important trip as I don’t normally get to travel with my mother and brother. I stayed last October and knew that we would be back. This visit was just as amazing and I loved being able to share it with my family members that had never been to your resort. From our arrival it was great to see a familiar face at the front desk as Axel assisted with our check in. He continues to be a great example of professionalism and service. Ruben at the pool took care of our every need and made sure that we were all set even when we were not in his section. Axel the bellman was another friendly face that I was glad to see. He was always available and did anything he could to assist. We shared stories and updates since the last trip. It really feels great to return to those that have taken such good care of you. On the way out Victor the bellman helped load us up and he too was excellent.
This was a weird experience. Beautiful property but almost no customers. Staff mostly did not speak English. Restaurant with 12 waiters and we were the only customer, but they still could not get it right. I don't like to write negative reviews, but overall I say "not worth the money", sorry.
A LOT more cockroaches on the property this year than in previous years. Still a fabulous time! Beautiful facility and amenities!
Repeat stay. Nice quiet location on coast. Close to San Jose Del Cabo for a change in restaurants/ wander around town.
Incredible holidays with an amazing service and kindness starting from the checkin, room service, bar service and kids club (Sofia, Karla, Paula and Gina).
So disappointed in this property’s customer service. Big trip debacle and flight cancellation, mishap with the app and they charged me 3k for absolutely nothing. I will add that Marriott corporate relations was excellent but unfortunately each property acts independently. Lots of places to stay in Cabo avoid this location.
Our family of 4 stayed here last week. We absolutely loved it. The property is beautiful and it’s very peaceful compared to CSL. Our ocean view room was very nice and spacious, and extremely clean (which is a huge thing with me). Additionally, the staff is AMAZING!! We ate breakfast at Ua several times and the food was excellent. My youngest preferred the buffet but the rest of us ate off of the menu. The omelettes were the fluffiest I’ve ever had and the side heirloom tomato salad is divine. Also recommend the Chilaquiles, the bagel sandwich and enchiladas (yes I had them for breakfast). We had Anthony for our server several times and he’s absolutely fantastic!! Mark Diaz, the manager, is incredibly hospitable and will do everything to ensure you have a great experience. We also ate twice at Marhumo. Incredible empanadas with chimichurri. The half chicken and the short ribs are also fantastic. Staff is great here as well. We spend most of our time at the pools on vacation as we all love to relax and swim. Tadeo was probably the best pool side server we’ve ever had. He was so nice and went above and beyond for us with cold towels, buckets of ice, and even played with my kids with the beach balls and marco polo (he was outside of the water, of course, but added to the fun and laughter). Edwardo was also amazing, as was Ruben. Shout out to my friend, Antonio, at the lower bar at Marhumo! He’s the BEST (so friendly/fun). I can’t wait to go back to have more of his passion fruit margaritas and mojitos! The property is in San Jose so it’s quieter out here, and that’s what we wanted. CSL is just a short Uber away, and we did go into town one day. This was my first time staying in San Jose (no where near my first time in Los Cabos), and we will definitely go back. Thank you JW Los Cabos for a fabulous family vacay!!!
Resort is a beauty and the attention you receive from the moment you arrive is priceless! We went as a family and we have kids who enjoyed the kids club they were very excited to stay with the staff while we went on our date night dinner reservations . They send you photos of the kids while they stay there doing activities, playing and eating. It’s absolutely safe and I highly recommend it! Thank you Sofia, Karla, Paula and Gina for your attentiveness with our kids they loved you!
We had an amazing time at the Jw marriot all the staff was amazing and always made sure to take care of us. Tadeo was so welcoming and attentive and Aracely kept our room clean and our waters always restocked. Thank you all for a lovely time in Cabo!
Beautiful property! Great customer service. If you are looking to relax in a serene place this is it. All the staff are great and the swim up pool is fantastic. we had no issues and it was our 2nd time visiting the JW in cabo.
Beautiful , quiet, exceptional service, fantastic food, Marhumbo outdoor restaurant.
The property I amazing, the design and the views. However I would recommend more for adults, there is no shadows in the pools and kids get sunburned. The service is not tipoical of Mexico because urea slower but the food is amazing so worth your while
Very hospitable staff. The hotel is family friendly and my daughter had a lot of fun. Will stay here again!
Ocean side location
Lovely gardens and views. Good guests rooms. Good gym and great spa.
The access to the beach is tough. The kids pool is very basic. The food is not that good and most restaurants open for dinner time only.
Our trip to the JW Marriot Los Cabos Resort was phenomenal. We celebrated our wedding there and I cannot speak highly enough about our wonderful JW Marriot Wedding planner, Avril. Avril and the rest of the team that we worked with were exceptionally professional, anticipated our needs seamlessly and went above and beyond to provide myself, my husband and our guests with the most amazing experience. Our vacation at the JW was exceptional. All of the staff were great. Our wedding guests raved about the quality of the food, rooms and pools. A common comment was how quiet the resort is. We never had to worry about acquiring space by the pool or grabbing a reservation for dinner. We along with many of our guests visited the spa and received a myriad of services. This spa is BEAUTIFUL and our massage therapists were great! This property has earned an ongoing spot on our places to travel list. 10/10 recommend if you are looking for a quiet, luxurious and scenic vacation experience.
We stayed here for seven nights and we were amazed by the service, the grounds, the room and the food. We met so many nice staff members here. Every single one of them were always friendly, went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, remembered us by name and took care of us the entire stay. This property has top-of-the-line everything. I want to give special recognition to a few of them. The gentlemen at valet, Victor, Elifonso and Pablo. These three were always so friendly and we were so happy to get to know them. They were so nice to us and our kids. They gave us great recommendations throughout our trip. So happy to have met them. Axel and Frankis at check-in were so helpful and made our arrival so nice and smooth. They gave us all the necessary information and made us feel so welcomed. Angel Valeria, you made our stay amazing with going out of your way to make sure we had the best available room. Thank you so much. We were blown away with our room. It was very nice to have met you. Thank you so much for looking out for us. Grisel in housekeeping was such a sweet woman. It was always so nice returning to our beautifully cleaned room each day after being out. She was so attentive. Thank you to all the JW staff for what you do. Keep up the great work! We will highly recommend this resort to all of our friends and family.
We had our wedding here and the experience was amazing from the moment we arrived to the moment we departed. Great staff!!! AMAZING service!!! All of our guests raved about the resort, staff, service, pools, and spa. We will definitely be going back. High recommend!!!
If you want to spent a relax vacation with your family, this is the hotel that you should be staying . The hotel is modern, beautiful, well decorated and very clean . The overall service is excellent ! Employees are so nice to the guest ! You could have a private butler that could arrange anything for you . The spa center is very relaxing and the restaurants are very good . I highly recommend this hotel
This is my second stay at the JW Marriott in Los Cabos. Every single staff person who works there is professional, friendly and made our stay so stress free. I especially want to express my appreciation for Jair who works at the pool. He was attentive and worked hard making sure each guest received the best service. Our room was perfect and we slept well every night we were there. We enjoyed massages in the spa where every staff member was also top notch. I loved taking a morning walk every day enjoying the beautiful grounds. Our food poolside was great. We loved the guacamole and often could have ordered one entree to feed both of us. The taco bar was a blast as the staff there make you feel like you're at a party. Honestly, the best margaritas I had were from the taco bar and the tacos were the best anywhere in Los Cabos. I can't wait to return to the JW at Los Cabos!
