I think yall need more night stuff or life. They staff was awesome, the rooms where ok, the restaurants were not great. The pool was good but everything closed way to early.

The staff makes this property special the food is great the drink great but the service and staff amazing

Los restaurantes son muy buenos; en especial, nos gustó el oriental, pero todos son excelentes. La habitación fue muy cómoda. Estábamos celebrando nuestro aniversario y nos dejaron un par de sorpresas en la habitación. Las albercas son geniales. Hay muchas actividades que disfrutar en el hotel.

Hay un área que se supone que es solo para huéspedes Preferred, pero realmente todos pueden estar en ella. No hay mucha diferencia entre ser huésped Preferred y normal, además de un pequeño club donde hay bebidas y snacks. Volveria a ir pero no haria upgrade a Preferred. Tampoco hay forma de bajar a la playa ya que están bloqueadas las escaleras por las que accederías normalmente.

Overall a decent property. Oceanfront was very nice and the food was good. The staff were very friendly, especially Pablo the concierge. Also, Carlos our butler did a great job.

The beach lounge chairs were broken down and very uncomfortable. No salts or bubble bath for the tubs. Preferred Club should have a complimentary bottle of champagne or wine. We had a hard time getting served down on the beach loungers.

The resort was beautiful and right on the ocean course which was incredible. Our room and amenities we're amazing.

The resort is super clean and the staff are very friendly. The pool area is nice and the staff are definitely there to provide good service to you while you are in the pool.

The food is mediocre at best. The Italian restaurant is very good. The Mexican one was not very tasty at all. The Hibachi dinner wasn’t bad.

The sales pitch after checking in when we thought we were just getting info on spa treatments etc. couldn’t get away from the guy. The price went from $400 plus for both of us to $25 each. Not a good impression. Felt like timeshare pressure.

I loved the property overall. The food was great and flavorful and the staff were awesome! Each staff member made me feel welcomed and was available to help if needed. I would definitely recommend this resort to others and will definitely plan another stay for vacation. Also the events that were planned for guest were an added plus.

The breakfast in the Market is good - room service is even better.

Could use another bartender at the swim up bar but the ones there are great and working hard to serve the guests

Amazing swim out room!

Weather was not the best so we really did not get to enjoy all the outerareas. We were not able to dine at the dinner restaurants because they get so busy. The one time we tried we had to wait an hr for a pager and probably another to be seated so we just ate at the same all day restaurant they have.

Just wish you could use the beach. Riptide is to strong for swimming

We loved this resort. The food was amazing, we liked the seaside grill and the Japanese restaurant the best. Also, the ocean views by the swing bar…. Man I came there everyday for the view and sound

Very clean room. Staff goes above and beyond to accommodate you. The food was delicious. The check in was very easy. The young handsome man that checked us in made sure everything was perfect. The pool waiters Leo and Solomon were the absolute best. You must ask for Marco at Portofino. The Italian food was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back in the future.

The resort was cool! The staff was nice. Carlos The head man in the morning breakfast area was phenomenal. The way he was able to make and manage connections with the guest was top tier!

Beautiful resort me and my husband stayed for our honeymoon we have the swim up suit oh it was beautiful. Staff was amazing took great cate of us. We did pay extra for the preferred club well worth the money.

Our room was cleaned everyday and it was great.

The attempts at up-selling to a preferred room was a little annoying- we barely arrived from the airport to check-in when the sales pitch began.

This was our first trip to Cabo and our first stay at a Secrets all-inclusive resort. It is a lovely property and while it is a little on the older side (we hear there is a planned renovation) is still very comfortable and enjoyable. We loved the spa and the staff is amazing. Dining options are good. We had a great trip and will look forward to more time in Cabo!

Large, clean room, beautiful view. Staff was mostly very friendly and accommodating. Spa service was amazing. Main pool water was warm, it was loud and didn't seem really clean.

First let me say the concierge (Julio), housekeeping and the restaurant waitstaff were excellent and were tipped very well. However I witnessed something that I would hope that will never happen again. During a visit at the (bar with the pool table) a bartenders helper took a plastic container full of dirty glasses flipped the dirty glasses over to be used again. No diswasher or rinsing needed I guess. The fact that she saw the red liquid in them was irrelevant. A real turn off. I was literally turned off from drinking anything from a cup or glass during the rest of our stay. It was reported however not addressed to either my husband or myself. The property was exactly what I expected. Great food, wonderful room, helpful staff, just amazing!! The only bummer was we had a King swim out (room 4112) that had the ONLY tree over it. Our swim out was in the shade, so we had to float in the rooms next door section for sun. I called the front desk and was told the rooms on each side were empty but the last day they were occupied. The tree had an iguana living in it, so we had iguana poo coming from above. This was the only bummer out of the entire trip, so I will take it. The couples massage at the spa was wonderful, we rented cabana beds twice. The beds were amazing, and our waiter was always there getting what we needed or just checking in. We stayed September 2025, and the weather was great. I will report no Grey Goose and no Modelo beer available. In past reviews it was mentioned the property offered Grey Goose vodka, they only offered Absolut as a top shelf option. Advise, notify the hotel directly of your flight arrival. We arrived around noon and check in is at 3pm. We were told we could change clothing and use anything on the property but had to come back at 3pm for our room key. I was told later if we had let the hotel know our flight arrival time we could have checked in early. I'm already looking at dates to go back, maybe stay in the preferred section this time. This resort was worth every penny, and we will be back soon.

The best employees ever

Absolutely beautiful property. The staff not only treated us as royalty but work so hard to keep the place super clean and in top shape. I highly recommend & will come back as often as I can.

The property itself was really nice. At check in it was. A major problem with orbitz. A payment was needed for deposit which a receipt was given showing balance due at check in however this was not the case. The deposit was never sent to Secrets and the full balance was to be paid that day for check in. So inconvenient.

We had a wonderful stay at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos for our 38th Wedding Anniversary. Our room, the grounds, the pools were amazing. The food was delicious, special thanks to Saul at Oceana, Bruno at El Patio & Charlie at Himitsu. Your service was impeccable! Thanks also to Abelardo and Jorge our servers at the infinity pool who kept not only us but all the guests hydrated and fed during our days long hanging poolside. We are already planning our next visit. Gracias!

Everywhere we dined we had to wait for at least an hour even when it was considered off season being there. Dining options were limited and not many varieties. Waiter at the pool treated us like minors and was rude when we ordered drinks when we were there for 3 hours and was on our 3rd drink. I been to many resorts before and never had that happened. So disappointed with our stay.

I traveled as a single woman and I felt safe and comfortable. I ate brunch every day and it was off the charts. Fresh, all your favorite traditional brunch items plus an assortment of Mexican cuisine. Posole bar alone deserves 5 stars! I don’t speak Spanish, that wasn’t a problem. The staff was courteous, helpful. They were fun. The area was beautiful. Don’t miss the art walk in town! It’s all inclusive, and they don’t skimp. It was peaceful, quiet. The rooms are gorgeous. I’d recommend& for sure will return!

This was our second time staying at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos and we once again had an amazing time. It was good to see Ivan and Delmar were still on staff with the entertainment team, they always ensure everyone has a good time.

Swim out room was great. Staff was awesome. Properly is showing it age. Didn’t receive a room upgrade. Avoid the time share sales pitch. Scam!!!

Staff was great for service. The property was clean and well maintained. The pool was perfect temperature, the bars were awesome. Also very secure. The food was ok. Among the 8 restaurant options on the property only one really nailed it in terms of cuisine. Two negatives to watch out for. First, is that upon check-in they hit you immediately trying to upgrade you to a VIP section for more money, and scheduling presentations to sell you on the Hyatt timeshare equivalent, offering massive discounts as incentives on substantially overpriced services in the first place. Very annoying when you first check in. Second, their system apparently does not make it obvious that the trip was paid for already through Expedia. Even so far as to explain to me that Expedia didn't actually charge my card. So they double charged me and I had to prove the trip was paid for already for them to refund the double charge. It was taken care of the same day but it was on me to handle it.

I loved everything from check in to checkout. I generally HATE resort food but the food was so good and authentic.

More pool party activities

Went for our honeymoon and had a wonderful experience! Service was timely, personal, and professional. Felt very taken care of and warm. Pool was beautiful and restaurants easy to access. Great room service and the hotel makes transportation easy and transparent.

We upgraded our room and that was really nice. The setting is beautiful. The food was mediocre and disappointing. The quiet pool was not quiet.

I booked a room in July for a September stay. Although I planned to go with my girlfriend, I confirmed a booking for 1 vs 2 people. If I had chosen a booking at the time for 2 people, the additional charge would have been $160 USD. Rather than rectify the situation upon arrival, they assure me everything will be fine and urged me to sign multiple documents and enjoy my stay. Later I find a charge for $1,000 USD. During my stay I went to the front desk to fix the error, but I was informed that $1,000 USD is the price and there’s nothing I could do. Things like this destroy peoples experiences. Not because of the final price, but because they made me feel like a moron. I will not be going back unless they resolve this.

It was perfect short vacation but Hyatt Sales marketing too bother to us. Short trip share my time. Another options are perfect.

The property is outdated. Rooms are fairly clean but old. My partner was constantly bitten by bugs in the bed. The food option is limited and the quality of food is as awful.

So we found a needle and syringe in our bedroom The pool waiters were not hospitable, even with tipping, it’s as if they are forced to be there Jessica at the grill was very friendly The guys driving the carts were very friendly No smoking on the property, ocean is not swimable

Service and Food was very good, except for the Asian restaurant. Facilities clean, room needed little TLC, however the best part is the friendly and helpful staff.

I choose the property because it was advertise as a VIP property within Expedia. We didn’t get a room upgrade or any perk. Expedia should check if their associates are meeting what they promise.

There was pressure to “upgrade” and many things were not explained well at check in….had to figure things out as we went. Staff were all polite. I did not enjoy the “shell game” of upgrades etc upon arriving….i would have enjoyed more info about the facility etc and less about upgrading etc

Great property and great service

We loved this property so much that we came back, this visit was not as good as the first, the staff was not as friendly or attentive and the food quality has gone down horribly. The yoga was fun and the bike tour was fun. I am the tour guide is great. The desk people not so friendly. Other activities are lacking. And again the food quality has gone down awfully terribly.

We booked a swim up, it was great. We stayed in three all-inclusive resorts in Mexico this summer, a RIU, a Hyatt Ziva, and this Secrets. This topped the three for room, pools and property and service. It ranked second for alcohol, but worst for food. It didn’t hit. One daytime restaurant was good, otherwise the buffet missed completely and the restaurants were good, but long and drawn out, limited on how you order, and generally felt cursory. Note that this property is resort focused, not beach focused. Beach is a small part of the experience, inaccessible and far away. It’s a great place, just don’t go thinking food or beach will be amazing, it’s fine, but not compared to other resorts or other great things about this resort.

Our initial arrival experience was quite poor. Check-in was slow, and we were immediately pressured to upgrade for an extra fee, which we declined. Despite our refusal, another agent then tried to sign us up for a sales/membership meeting, persisting even after my wife explicitly asked him to stop. After receiving our keys, we proceeded to our room. However, our luggage, checked in at 3:30 PM, didn't arrive until 5:50 PM, delaying our plans to enjoy the pool. We expressed our frustration about the check-in experience in an Expedia email. A few days later, a customer service representative contacted us, apologized, and offered a room upgrade. However, as we were already settled in, we declined the offer. Beyond this initial hiccup, the rest of our stay was fantastic. The food options were numerous, and all the restaurants were excellent. A special shout-out to Jorge at the pool – his service was incredible, making us feel like the only guests at the property!"

We enjoyed our 25th anniversary celebrating at the resort. The VIP infinity pool offers a quiet atmosphere, great staff, VIP lounge serves delicious food and drinks all day.

The property was immaculate the staff was extremely nice and attentive with great customer service. The only things I didn't like was the music selection at the club Desire and the pool and the fact that at an all adult resort there was no designated smoking area inside the resort. I feel like the music should be mixed up for all backgrounds or genres.

We felt incredibly special, and it’s a memory we’ll treasure forever. The food was outstanding—every meal was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. We especially loved the variety of restaurants and the quality of both casual and fine dining. We also enjoyed the daily activities, from pool games and yoga to live music and tequila tastings. There was always something fun to do, which made the experience even more memorable. Huge thanks to Octavio, Carlos, and the rest of the amazing staff for making us feel so welcome. This was my second time coming to Secrets at this location. I came solo this time for 6 nights and had the most relaxing time. I booked a swim out pool/ room. 100% worth it. I enjoy people but also enjoy my quiet time and the swim out pool was perfect. I suggest bringing a small blow up floaty so you can just relax in the water. Food was great. The spa was amazing.
