Beautiful!

Nothing to complain about

This place is kitted out for any weather. It was a freezing JHB winter night and they had fireplaces going in the restaurant so it was cozy and warm. The bathroom had underfloor heating in it which was lovely. Bathroom was extremely generous and spacious. There was so much attention to detail, from the curated teas, to the coffee machine and rusks. The bed was next level. Huge comfy bed with a variety of pillows depending on your taste. Staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and there's a big variety. Cooked breakfast menu and then cereals, breads, spreads etc. We were very surprised at this lovely guesthouse. Beautiful decor too. We'll definitely be back.

We literally can't fault them on anything.

The staff were amazing and so friendly!

Buffet pastries were a bit hard.

Thoughtful- extremely cold weather. Huge oil fin heater, electrica blankets- throws. Warm and cozy atmosphere

Location and great staff

The property was absolutely amazing and the rooms beautiful, definitely worth the stay

I think sometimes you’re just the person to experience some hiccups on a stay and this was one of those times for us , 1- at first the property tried charging me again even though I paid when I made the initial booking luckily this was against my virtual card and rejected 2- Our first room didn’t have hot water after traveling from a rugged camp experience which was quite disappointing, we were eventually moved but almost felt like the staff were bit annoyed that we needed to moved for something that was clearly not our fault However to be clear I think the place is definitely worth the stay !

Room was ok. Breakfast was good

Parking not great

Menlyn Boutique Hotel is a remarkable experience. We received the most friendly service and the restaurant and communal areas are so welcoming! We will definitely recommend it!

Room was spacious and quiet. Breakfast was exceptional as always.

Amazing breakfast, beautiful spacious rooms. Super comfortable. Friendly staff.

No USB plugs and plugs in our room kept tripping

Everything was wonderful! I loved that they had a cot for my baby boy. I loved the cheese board and the complimentary wine. I liked that they had multiple food options and a stocked mini bar. The coffee machine in our room didn’t work but I could get coffee in the restaurant or the reception so that was fine. Breakfast was lovely! All in all, it was a lovely pit stop before proceeding to our wedding event venue!

Everything

Everything, not too crowded and the staff goes all out to make us comfortable every single time.

Nice room sizes

The fact that they want copy of our bank cards at check in even when you have paid. Apparently it is for in case of damages.

Had a great stay at the menlyn boutique hotel and would highly recommend it. The staff we great and the rooms very nice

Breakfast excellent. Staff amazing!!! :-)

not much - had a water outage (caused by mains failure in area, not hotel). Staff helped out supplying drinking water and washing water to get through

Secure, comfortable, lots of little welcome extras (snacks in the room) and outstanding breakfast. Best place I've stayed in Pretoria!

Nothing.

They’ve got serious plumbing issues. I was downgraded from an apartment to a standard room because the drain was dysfunctional. Standard room I was moved to also had a blockage.

Decent breakfast, nice hotel.

Extremely disappointing. They were sawing and chopping off trees outside our window. We could not sleep, I could not work and we could not even access our room. Communication was shocking and they just avoided us.

Impeccably clean and stylish rooms, attentive and friendly staff. It has a peaceful and luxurious atmosphere, and really good food and amenities. I highly recommend Menlyn Boutique Hotel to anyone looking for a refined yet welcoming place to stay. I look forward to returning

Connection and Network

The facilities, staff, food, and room were all exceptional. The overall experience was excellent.

I did not enjoy the parking area as much, as I found it quite tight for my liking. However, it was not a major issue and did not significantly impact the overall experience.

That it was relatively cheap

Did not match the grading it is on

the place is an absolute gem. From the welcome you get from the reception manager, receptionist . The rooms are specious, clean , well decorated . The bathroom 's decor is well thought after. There s so much space in the bathroom you can easily do ballroom dancing in there. The staff are courteous , professional and quite responsive and quickly so. your needs are attended to very swiftly and also concerns raised . It is a true 5 star experience in this facility

Friendly and attentive staff Stylish, modern rooms Very clean Excellent breakfast, Strong security and backup power

The location and the food was excellent

Cosy small hotel

Our room was facing the freeway so a bit noisy. Will stay here again but in a different room.

Nice

Cleanliness and the service given by the staff

Nothing

It’s difficult to fault this hotel. Yes, the rooms are a little bit different and may lack storage but it’s a boutique hotel. The staff are all, to a person, fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was good. Really good. But food wise, the in house pizza restaurant was outstanding. The best pizza I’ve had in a long time. The only thing that lets this hotel down is the gym. It’s poor. It’s small, old equipment and I’m not sure the equipment is maintained or cleaned. Improve the gym and I’d not hesitate to stay again.

Well maintained.

Close to the highway and walls not noise proof.

This establishment stands out as the premier hotel in Johannesburg. The staff consistently delivers exceptional service, with the housekeeping team performing at an unparalleled level.

This hotel delivers every time- from rooms, cleanliness, the extremely professional and friendly service from all staff Members, the little extra's (snacks, bath products) and the restaurant serves the best cuisine!

No problems with stays at this Hotel ever.

Prachtige locatie, zeer gastvrij, luxe inrichting, top verzorging

Geen minpunten

It’s elegant, tasteful, modern and superbly clean. Bathroom is incredible. Rooms are quiet and peaceful. Staff are amazingly helpful.

Extractor fan in bathroom can’t be switched off.

Great service

A beatiful place, the rooms are perfect and the staff is lovely. The Restaurant is top of the top. 10 out of 10 Thanks a lot for the first two days in this awesome Country.

Very nice restaurant on site

From the moment we set foot on the property to when we (very reluctantly) had to travel back home we were treated with the utmost care. The room was clean, staff friendly and the food amazing! Thank you for an unforgettable experience! See you soon!

It’s a beautiful place with very comfortable big rooms and beds. Service was absolutely fantastic. We wish we had more time to enjoy it.

Bottled water is normal tap water breaking of chlorine. In a resealable glass bottle. Bar fridge had one Resealable glass bottle in it and some longlife milk........ No hot water. Bed was short and super uncomfortable We have been coming here for many years and the standard have dropped to the point where we will no longer stay here👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Very little, other than friendly staff

I stayed for a week at the Menlyn Boutique whilst at a conference in Pretoria. It is truly a wonderful hotel with amazing staff and an excellent restaurant, you will not be disappointed with this hotel. The only thing to consider is that it is a faith based hotel so be aware that some music might have religious connotations in case this is not your cup of tea.

Good facilities, honeymoon suite is excellent, good restaurant, friendly staff

Location is ordinary regarding views but near to city centre do convenient for that area
