very nice hotel. stayed couple times already. very convenient connection with mall. rooms clean. bathrobe provides but no sleepers. in room coffee machine Nespresso and refrigerator. we stayed standard room with 2 queen beds. in first floor is restaurant where you can get breakfast (à la cart) and very nice bar.

I would have preferred a buffet breakfast. I could not order a breakfast that could meet my expectation. This way i left half of the food on the plate...pity...

Friendliness of staff, clean indoor pool, breakfast was awesome. One sweet bonus: I admired the tea timer on the breakfast tray and asked if they sold them. The waiter replied that they didn't but she would check into it. She came back and said they didn't have any new ones, but that I was welcome to take the one on my tray. So sweet!

This Marriott did everything to ensure our stay was excellent! Birthday celebration and calling ahead to see how we could enjoy our stay!

Connection right to the mall.

For the price I would have expected some better amenities, breakfast, rooms to be a bit larger. Over priced just because it’s connected to the mall for ease of shopping and staying all in one.

We stayed in the 6th floor and our view was if a parking lot and ikea. We didn't have breakfest at the hotel.

The price if the hotel per night, I was never able.to connect to the supposed free internet after signing up for membership bonus program. I have attempted several.times to get it set up and dont get emails requesting password reset or anyt.other help.

Stayed there for 2 weeks. Asked late check out (4 pm) on the last day due to late international flight and got declined, since they only reserve this benefit to senior club members. Very disappointing after 2 weeks! Of stay. Also - the rooms are not cleaned that well.

This was a birthday stay and I had flowers ordered that were int he room when we got there along with choc cov strawberries and champagne. The birthday surprise went so smooth. The room was very clean and the staff was extremely helpful. We were right there at the mall which was SO convenient for our shopping trips and it's very close to the airport. A great place to stay!

Staff was to the highest standard, welcoming and friendly. Ni clean rooms, made out accommodations cozy.

I was pleasantly surprised by the level of design and upkeep of this property. I only gave 4 stars for area around hotel because it is connected to the Mall of America and overlooks a massive parking lot. Not the hotel's fault, just a circumstance of the area. The hotel restaurant is delicious! This is -not- bar food. It is deliciously orchestrated with interesting flavors and well executed dishes. I would eat there even if I wasn't stya at the hotel. Bravo!

Convenient location

Staff in the morning was so rude & lazy. They acted like we were an inconvenience having to check us out. The front desk staff member who checked us out had to be told we were there as she was just sitting in the back room. Also, the valet service had a friend of his lingering at the desk and instead of going to get our car, he chatted with his friend. Once his friend left, he went to get our car. We were in somewhat of a hurry to catch our flight, so this was frustrating.

Great location, next to Mall of America and close to MSP Airport. I was allotted a room on the 14th floor facing the runway. The room was relatively small but very nice with all good amenities. Being an ambassador elite member,I expected an upgrade, but I did get any, though the hotel was less than busy. Breakfast in the executive lounge was decent, so we're the snacks in the evening. Good place for short trips, and the mall has great restaurants.

We always stay here everytime we go! Very friendly and accommodating staff, happy it’s conveniently connected to the mall for our LO who is two so she can go for naps and we don’t have to worry about driving back and forth while my husband and son walk around. Very clean and spacious rooms and they gave us the end of the hall which gave off privacy and was quiet!

We picked the JW Marriott Mall of America for our July 4th weekend trip. The main reason? We wanted to see family in Wisconsin and finally check out the famous Mall of America. The hotel has a super handy entrance right into the mall from the second floor, which was a huge plus—especially since our son had a blast exploring everything. One thing that really stood out was the fitness center. It had all the equipment you could want—treadmills, stair steppers, free weights—you name it. Everything was clean, and they even had fresh fruit, water, and towels ready to go. It made sticking to a workout routine while traveling way easier. From the moment we checked in, the staff was friendly and helpful. They recognized my loyalty status right away and set us up with a big corner room on the executive floor. That meant we got access to the executive lounge, which was super convenient for grabbing snacks, food, and just chilling out between activities. The lounge was always neat and quiet—a great spot to unwind. Our room itself was spotless and modern, with plenty of storage and little touches that made it comfy. Even though it was a busy holiday weekend, the hotel never felt crowded. The vibe was always relaxed and peaceful. All in all, the JW Marriott Mall of America went above and beyond. Between the awesome location, great staff, nice facilities, and those executive floor perks, it was just an easy and enjoyable place to stay—perfect for families or anyone wanting a hassle-free trip. We’re already talking about going back next time!

Great location, close to the airport, and connected to the mall. The staff was excellent throughout. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The fitness center was expansive with great equipment, ice, water, towels, and fruit. The executive lounge was also an added benefit. The food and beverage was delicious, and the staff was friendly. The hotel restaurant was also superb.

For the price was not impressed

The hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating. The hotel and our room was clean and I was surprised that they still do daily housekeeping which I appreciate given the price point of the hotel.

I know the reason why but I don't like the fact that there isn't a coffee machine in the room. At this point in our Country, these should just be standard and at other higher end hotels I've stayed at they've been present in the room.

They need to provide more water in the room. For the price they charged, there is nothing extra ordinary.

Loved the soaking tub and bath salts. Room was quiet never really noticed planes or the festival noise from outside.

This hotel is maybe a 3.5 star. Overpriced by a lot.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Try clean nice room. Only thing stopping from 5 stars are awful pillows and the entire pool area need reworked, updated, more convenience for guests with children like seating areas and such. Regardless, would recommend this place 10/10 times.

Disappointing experience. Three generation outing with all of us staying in the hotel to celebrate a special birthday. Advised the front staff about the special birthday celebration on arrival and barely received a nod. The front staff was clearly overwhelmed with only one person, checking people in initially and a large line accumulating. Checked into the room, which was fine, but not as sharp as it had been on previous visits. One horrible thing I noted was on the side of the toilet paper there appear to be feces, probably left there the last time somebody had grabbed it. Or, because of the way the toilet paper rolled is held in an unsecure way, the toilet paper roll probably had fallen onto the ground and just put back on by previous. Either way, the attention to detail was lacking on this visit. I will give it another try in the future, but it was disappointing to say the least.

The hotel is clean and staff very attentive when arriving. The views of the airport were fabulous from the top floor (15th floor). The hotel being attached to the Mall of America makes it convenient to walk. Additionally, proximity to the airport is less than 5-minutes.

Had a smooth and welcoming check-in experience — the staff was courteous and helpful. The location is absolutely fantastic, with convenient access to key spots. However, the overall stay was disappointing due to the outdated room interiors and extremely uncomfortable beds and pillows. The A/C was not functioning properly, making the nights even more uncomfortable. Room service was also quite limited, especially for vegetarians. This property definitely does not meet the expectations of a JW Marriott category. Needs serious upgrades in comfort and amenities.

This property is beautiful and convenient. The ease of walking into the mall is great.Staff is very efficient and helpful.Rooms are quiet and well appointed.Beds were comfortable and shower very nice. The restaurant had a healthy and tasty menu. Hope to return someday!

We really enjoy our stay. Every time, we’ve never been disappointed. The staff are always on point, kind, courteous and professional.

We stayed over a long weekend with our 2-year-old daughter, and the experience was flawless from start to finish. The elite lounge was a standout, with elevated options like crab cakes, smoked salmon, and caprese salad that made us feel genuinely valued. The gym was outstanding—easily one of the best I’ve seen in a hotel, with plenty of free weights and high-end cardio machines. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, professional, and attentive. The room was immaculately clean, and most impressive of all—it was completely silent. We never heard another guest, which made a huge difference with a toddler in tow. The location is unbeatable. The hotel connects directly to Mall of America, and we were able to walk straight out a side door into the food court—a total game changer with a small child. We travel often, and this property truly sets a high bar. We’ll absolutely be returning.

Location was great, being directly connected to the mall.

After driving 14 hours from Texas I pull into the valet area, was asked if I needed help with my bags. I said, yes! And then was told, well the guy who does bags is on break and we legally can’t touch them. I said, do you have a luggage cart I can use, I walked inside and found one loaded my own bags do my room. Funny thing is I checked out a day early, and the same 2 people were at valet, and asked if I needed help with my bags, and I said… Let me guess you legally can’t touch them because your co worker is on break. He said, no we’ll load up your car. Also, when I tried to get ice for my room, I had to go to the gym on the second floor, where I found just a stand up cooler with ice in it. No ice machine. I was told it was this or go to the restaurant on the first floor and they will get me ice.

Nice hotel. Lobby was modern and clean. We had the king room. Typical hotel room. Nothing out of the ordinary. The room was clean. Bed was comfy. Staff was nice enough. Loved the convenience of walking to the MOA as the JW is connected to the MOA, and we did not have to leave the building. We drove in, but the airport was very close as well for those flying in. Would recommend to anyone staying at the MOA.

Best hotel experience! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! Hotel was clean and comfortable. It was nice to be able to access for MOA easily and even though it was close to the airport and the mall- it was quiet! Restaurant was excellent- food and service amazing. Highly recommend!!

Ok, it’s a JW, it was beautiful and amazing! I loved just about everything! Was it a little pricey, yes…but worth it for how nice it is! The convenience with access to the mall was awesome! The restaurant in the hotel was so great! The rooms were spacious , modern and super nice! The pool was small, but clean and wonderful! Overall the entire space and experience was great. Bathrooms are huge!

There’s a pool, but no hot tub, which I would have loved. Not the end of the world though. The big negatives for me, the showers (if you know, you know) were the walk in showers with the swing doors so water ends up everywhere BUT in the shower. This just grosses me out and I spend more time cleaning up all the water that has leaked everywhere. This seems to be a thing at ALL the high end hotels I’ve been at! It’s odd! Also, there were some “splatter” marks on the walls around the tub. I told myself it was just soapy water splashes but…this stuff grosses me out at hotels too! There has to be a way to clean the walls better (see photo). The bathroom itself was HUGE though, so I wasn’t too worried, just stayed away from those walls. Haha! It was really comfortable and sound proof! I was also a little disappointed by some of the “tenants”, this is a nice classy hotel…try a little! Someone’s kid dripped blue ice cream all over the elevator and hallways and it was still there the following day.

I stayed at this property with my new wife for our honeymoon and to visit the area. Our trip started with Patrick checking us in and getting us up onto a higher floor with a great view of the airport. Not something you'd likely expect someone to say but the room was so well sound proofed that we didn't hear any of the planes until we got to the desk Sunday morning to check out. There was another woman at the desk whose name I unfortunately did not catch but was sweet nonetheless. She offered us some sort of tea which was delicious. All our requests were handled quickly and efficiently. The hotel itself was beautiful and convenient with the access to the MOA. Will absolutely be staying again.

Food was great Bed was comfortable

Phone to call room service did not work. Television would not turn on. Maintenance came at 11pm and knew nothing and took another call in our entry with door open for over 5 minutes. Almost 20 minutes to say he can't fix anything. Toilet ran off and on all night. Disappointing for the price it was an anniversary weekend getaway.

This is not a hotel geared towards families. It is a great location if you are going to the Mall of America. It is clean. But they are clearly not interested in tending to typical family needs. They have one ice maker. I did not see anywhere to purchase water or snacks. (For those wondering despite being attached to the mall the nearest anything is a ten minute walk). They put me on the top floor, across from an executive lounge with water and snacks that is only accessible to their highest members. It was me and my son and this hotel did little to make us feel welcome. Disappointing especially given the cost of the rooms. This hotel is for the business traveler. Maybe people know that about this property. I did not.

We enjoyed staying here very much! Tim’s convenience is unparallel with the US Bank stadium, airport and mall of America. We loved having everything close! The check in process was the only hiccup. It took longer than anticipated and there was some mix ups, but all in all, our stay was wonderful.

This staff is the definition of customer service and care. Valet was professional and polite. Check in was seamless and the desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room is beautiful with a giant bathroom and bathtub (my favorite). The hotel is connected to the mall and is wildly convenient. There is a bar and restaurant on site, as well as an amazing fitness center. They have a nice pool albeit a bit cool. After, we left jackets in the room and I was so nervous they were gone forever - but the front desk staff located them and are shipping back to me. Very exceptional service from top to bottom. From someone who is always in a Marriott, and travels 3/4ths of the year - this is a very nice spot and I will be back.

Beautiful property, great staff

The bathroom was great with both a walk-in shower and a bathtub. The room was good-sized, nicely decorated, and clean. The mattress was comfortable.

No coffee maker in the room. I much prefer a comforter to the bedspread style of bedding.

Loved that it was attached to the Mall Of America. So convenient in that aspect. Only things we didn’t like were there was only 1 ice machine in the whole facility and it was on the 2nd floor. Also, the robes and towels were much more rough and stiff than expected for price of room.

It was very quiet and the room felt clean. The pool had lots of kids at night, but quiet during the day. The staff were so nice! The restaurant is also quite good, but a bit too artisanal, but what we ordered was good.

Excellent hotel with a convenient location. Near Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport and is connected directly to the Mall of America. Great accommodations and the only luxury hotel in the area. The front desk and the staff in the executive lounge were great! The rooms were nice and clean. Enjoyed the view of Downtown Minneapolis along the horizon. Highly recommend the JW Marriott.

One thing I was disappointed they said that they had Wi-Fi when you go to set up there’s a charge for the speed and per day. There’s also no continental breakfast. There’s also no microwave that was in our room for a hotel that says that they had free Wi-Fi they don’t.

We had a very last minute stay in MSP, and it was a good stay!
