Staff is friendly, they actually decorated place for my birthday , even night they arranged our dinner table, cake and birthday wish. It was so nice. I like the staff. Everybody is so nice including Manager

The hotel room was a bad experience. The bed was so old. The room was clean; the toilet was clean. But this hotel needs serious renovations. The furniture in the room is so cheap, old, and ugly, they doesn't look like the pictures on Booking.com at all. My wife started complaining about it when we entered the room. There is no elevator in this hotel. We had to climb more than 3 floors to reach the room. Which is almost like hiking. They didn't offer a buffet because there were very few guests in the hotel. They gave us a set menu, and the food is ok; at least we were happy about it, as it was delicious. Hotel management needs to upgrade the room decorations and furniture if they need to keep guests. I found a double room in Araliya Hotel for the same price, and it's so nice. I had to cancel my two-night stay at Oakray and leave after one night.

Il punto di forza della struttura è la vista e la pulizia delle stanze, con uno staff sempre sorridente e disponibile. Con possibilità di avere anche la colazione al sacco se prendi il treno panoramico molto presto.

Purtroppo ci è stata assegnata una stanza che non era quella da noi prenotata. Inoltre anche se la camera era pulita, abbiamo passato una notte insonne a causa del freddo, tende oscuranti assenti, vento forte. Non ci è piaciuto che è stata l’unica struttura, dopo il nostro disappunto, a toglierci automaticamente i soldi dalla carta, senza farci il checkout.

A lovely and peaceful place with incredibly kind and friendly people. The hotel is nestled on the mountainside, surrounded by beautiful greenery and breathtaking views. It’s the perfect place to relax and recharge, and definitely one of my favorite places from the entire trip.

Molt car pel que ofereix. L’habitació era freda i força humida, cosa que va fer que l’estada no fos gaire confortable. Pel preu que té, esperàvem molt més. Tot i així, hi vam estar una nit i prou bé, ja que el personal molt atent.

We had an enjoyable time at the hotel. Food was excellent , location is fantastic and team has been very helpful and friendly. A special thanks to Mr. Bandara , the Resident Manager who has been very corporative right from the first call to make the reservation to the check out. Well done . L'hôtel est surprenant, doté d'une belle cheminée dans la salle à manger. Les chambres sont immenses. La nourriture très bonne et copieuse. Le personnel adorable.

C'est ancien, l'eau de la douche s'étend dans toute la salle d'eau. Le chauffage fait beaucoup de bruit (mais est indispensable).

Impressively clean room with a very fresh scent. I felt like I’m staying at my grandparents’ cottage. I had a lovely view of the beautiful Gregory Lake. I felt like was living like a local. The only recommendation I have is to improve pest control in the washroom. There was a spider 🕷️ web about the shower. Everything else was just fine for me.

Lovely stay. Didn't eat at the restaurant but the menu looks good. Room was great and spacious. Views from the balcony were amazing in the morning.

Considering location it is in very remote area, but the view from room is outstanding. Room size was quite okey and we had one double & two single beds against triple occupancy. Bathroom is small but clean. Atmosphere is very calm, peaceful and pleasant. The room rent is average and value of money. Their service is outstanding and the Manager always takes care. Food quality is average, I think they should hire better Chef. There is no lift.

Wonderful view, nice staff and room sizes very good. Rainy place. Location is a little tricky but worth the view.tasty food as well.

Kleines Hotel in den Hügeln mit toller Aussicht und toll angelegten Blumenbeeten

Die Zimmer wurden mit tollen Fotos beworben. Die Wirklichkeit war ernüchtern. Ebenfalls wurde mit Balkon geworben im Deluxe Zimmer, diesen hatten wir nicht.

L’hôtel est situé sur les hauteurs de la ville , il y a une jolie vue depuis les chambres et le restaurant. Visiblement, un coup de peinture a été mis pour rafraîchir les chambres.

La propreté des chambres est vraiment limite. Le personnel n’est pas aussi sympathique que dans d’autres hôtels. C’est surprenant car oak ray semble être une chaînes d’une dizaine d’hôtels. Le petit déjeuner et le repas sont moyens.

Extraordinary staff in a quiet location, nestled in the hills overlooking a beautiful valley. It was clean and comfortable, and the food was good. Above all the service and the staff were above and beyond. The manager and the chef came to say goodbye when I left. Amazing!

The hotel was quite nice, but needs a bit of maintenance and fresh coat of paint. The manager and staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was very nice on both days. We had a beautiful scenic room of the area and Gregory lake. Definitely recommend this hotel even though it’s set high up on the hills. Hiten and Jyoti

First impression OMG cold damp turn around now. Park of organised tour late arrival . Cold damp room, damp towels. Accessed via many steps. Staff carried heavy baggage .I'd have left one downstairs if I'd known. Previous night at sister hotel in Kandy meant we arrived with great expectations. The tea growing area is constantly cool and misty hence so are we. Newly furbished shower room but I was giving it a miss. Plugged in a little electric fan heater briefly as felt unsafe to leave plugged in. Layered up and went for meal. Great service and excellent food. Settled in for night after positioning our heater. Awake at 6.15 to see the dawn come in through the breezy full glass bay window. Some photos taken. Pleasant enough breakfast and now able to appreciate the views. Think really a walking base. Yet we declined a 5 am wet hike. Reasonable breakfast . Unfortunately we are here 2 nights so have to stay as guide dropped us off late afternoon. Cousin catching up on sleep . Positive,naturally lit bright room but another damp night ahead. Though sure we will receive another fabulous meal attended by a great team of men. Damp breeze better name lord knows

Thank goodness we only stayed here for only one night as part of a tour. The negatives our room was extremely noisy so didn’t sleep much at all. The en-suite was very badly thought out we literally sat on the toilet in our own shower water might as well not bother with a shower cubicle. The positives stunning views, public areas kept nice and the staff were lovely and apologetic when we complained and gave us a free bottle of wine.

I went to this place on 2025.11.11. It is an unforgettable place. The food is delicious. I have enjoyed my stay.

This hotel was booked as part of a tour , what we found was the location although good for views was away from the centre up a very very steep hill. The access to our room was via outside concrete steps which can be wet and have a steep gradient. The staff will carry your bag to the room and help but the absence of a lift makes it not suitable for people with any form of health issue. The building is looking in need of investment to bring it up to modern standards.

窓からの眺望が素晴らしかったです。ヌワラエリヤ一帯とグレゴリー湖が見渡せる部屋で、夜景と湖面に映る朝日がとても素敵でした。最高の眺めと共に美味しい朝食も楽しむことができました。 部屋は少し肌寒かったのですが、毛布とヒーターがあり快適に過ごせました。

眺望は素晴らしいのですが、細い坂道の1番上に位置するのでアクセスは少々劣ります。また、本館の隣の施設に案内され、階段をある程度登る必要がありました。掲載されていた部屋とはグレードが異なるように思いましたが、広さや眺めは充分満足でした。

The manager was very professional, warm and set an immediate tone of excellent hospitality. ​The property itself is nestled in a stunning location and the premises are absolutely breathtaking with purple and pink hydrangeas blooming all over! For a moment, it felt like I'm in heaven. 🥹 The restaurant also boasts a top notch buffet breakfast and I had such a hearty meal! ​However, the highlight was undoubtedly the view from my room window. Waking up to the magnificent, sprawling vista of the Nuwara Eliya landscape—whether it was a mountain, garden, or even a glimpse of Gregory Lake—was truly a sight to behold. ​Given Nuwara Eliya's cool climate, having a room heater was such a blessing. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a tranquil and beautiful getaway in the hills of Sri Lanka. The only downside is, I had to come back. Till next time, Nuwara Eliya. Love you. 🥹❣️

We had great stay at Oak Ray Summer Hill Breeze. My kids enjoyed their 2 nigths stay very much. Hot water in the bathroom was so good. The staffs, waiters and helpers were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food at restaurant was excellent. The view from the room overlooks the beautiful valley. Great view. Rooms are very clean and can be accessed with few stairs climb. Hot water was excellent. Some rooms are accessible outdoors with great view of the valley. Quiet morning with mist and breeze feels good. Just very few minutes away from main town. Had a very safe stay throughout. Its a quite a narrow windy few minutes stretch walk down to town. Food and drinks are excellent. Hotel provides umbrellas during rainy day for outdoor rooms access. Luggage are handled by helpers without any hassle. Any requests are attended quickly by friendly and helpful staffs, workers and also waiters. Overall the hotel is value for money.

The true gem of this hotel is its staff! Kind, helpful and always smiling!! The hotel has a lovely view over the tea plantation and mountains. Both dinner and breakfast are really good. Be aware it can get pretty cold out there but the staff was so nice to give me an extra blanket and an extra stove! If you have problems with stairs there is no elevator! Still lovey and lovely people!

The only thing I must appreciate is the enchanting location! My booking was w/o Breakfast and the amount they charged for each breakfast was too high interms of food. The room door was very insecured and the sound of heavy wind disturbed us whole night. Lack of aminities in the wash room. over all not happy :(

The location, atmosphere and scenery is great, staff vy accomodative. The General Manager was a vy kind and listens to issues responsibly and arrives at a solution swiftly. We were pleased wt his solution. The hotel is most suitable fr newly-wed couples and couples on a romantic gateway.

The bathroom leading to the room is level, so water sips to the room. There should be an elevation to block water frm running out. Other areas were great, no issues.

Overall experience was amazing.. Staffs were very friendly, I had a infant and the staffs were really supportive to assist us with all requirements for the infant. Mohan & Prabha and Sameer were exceptional.

Very homely and sweet, beautiful hotel located at a higher up location- meaning you get the best mountain top views. The food was one of the best parts, they accommodated all requests and the chef added artistic touch to every meal. Loved the extra effort they put into making the guests enjoy a meal and the stay.
