Short walking distance to the mall. Very near the university where I do my morning brisk walking. Clean facilities. They have daily supply of toiletries and water. Easy access to major roads and highways; made finishing my errands faster.

The toilet door jammed but the staff was able to fix it same day. Parking ramp should also be fixed; not suited for my car, scraped the bottom few times.

Many guests have praised the team for their professionalism and willingness to accommodate special requests, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere that makes guests feel at home .​ Even during a 3-day black out due to a broken powerline caused by the construction workers, they offered to transfer me into another hotel temporarily, the Hotel was truly topnotch. Oriental Zen Suites provides a comfortable and affordable lodging option in Manila, especially for those visiting UST or exploring the city's historical sites. Zero internet in room, had to sit in hot noisy lobby to do bookings, banking etc. Noisy ac kept me awake all night. Awful hard pillows. Very 'local' neighborhood, not much around for tourists

We booked a premiere suite but once we got checked in, we noticed that our room was entirely different from the one in the photos. We were not told beforehand that they checked us in a deluxe room instead. The staff lied to us and made us pay the price of the premiere suite. We complained and got our refund back.

The blanket is too thin so it feels cold when you sleep, otherwise you have to turn off the aircondition, water for taking shower is not too hot only cold and a little warm water, staff are sleeping at the back even i call her two times she doesn’t hear me the security help me to wake her up 😅

The accommodation was pleasantly clean and the facilities provided were nice. The tiny kitchenette was very useful! The bathroom was clean and neat. Water supply was great. The wifi was sufficient. The staff were very welcoming and cheerful. I highly recommend Oriental Zen if you have business at nearby Universities or schools. I also really liked that they provided bottled water, coffee, shampoo, soap, toilet paper everyday without asking for it. That's a big plus for me. :)

My only con is that the aircon takes a lot of time to cool the room. I suggest having a wall fan to speed up the cooling process. Also, the atomizer/humidifier was a great addition, but it kept me awake the first night.

Very comfortable beds, however the pillows are massive and hard, unable to use. Wifi connection was good. Rooms are small but everything you need is in there. Staff is friendly. Close to (korean) restaurants and the shopping mall.

Aircon is very loud. Room with a window but without a view literally means you'll be staring at a shaft of aircon units. On a daily basis you'll get new toothbrushes, tootpaste, shampoo, coffee, 2 small bottles of water and toilet paper - not very sustainable. Price is quite steep for what you get.

Ambience clealiness

It is definitely worth the price! Our accommodation was exceptionally pleasant and cozy. The scent was delightful, and the cleanliness was nearly impeccable. The bed was plush and inviting. Although it did take some time for the room to cool down, we were ultimately pleased with its coolness. Amenities were provided, such as free internet access, free toiletries to get by a day or two, a breakfast meal (which we didn't try out) and a very accommodating staff, which, considering the price, is a bang in the buck! If you guys are staying near or in Sampaloc, Manila, you should definitely consider booking in to Oriental Zen Suites!

The location is accessible to the places we needed to go, it's on the map too if we need food deliveries or transport services. Staffs are always nice. They're not strict with visitors. Most of all, the rooms are decent, design is very hotel-like and clean.

The air condition unit this second time stay is not in its best condition. This needs to be repaired or replaced. It needed the aid of electric fan also to have a comfortable sleep. Television is also unfriendly. Giving us a hard time to change/navigate other channels.

Pillows are hard,not able to use it, I made an improvised one. No duvet/comforter provided,sheets are very thin not able to sleep well Design inside the room is hazard. Humidifier was annoying, fabcon scent,i switched it off it kept me sneezing.

Very close to Super Mall. Not too busy compared to other provinces in Manila. The receptionist is very friendly and the security guard is very helpful. The receptionist called us on the phone to make sure we're doing okay. I have so many cousins came to visit me in the hotel approximately maxium of 5 and there was no problem at all from receptionist. Salamat po to Oriental Zen Suites. 💙

It was very easy checking in. Very comfortable to sleep, and AC works very well. The receptionist is very friendly, and the security guard knows that you're checking in. The price of the hotel in Sampalic is cheap and not so expensive. Highly recommend for new tourist. ☺️

Remodelling of the property is needed. Bigger bathrooms with AC. I didn't have a window & my circadian rhythym was getting messed up. Would be best if the whole place moved to another location because it's in a terrible spot. No dining options. They would not let me check in 2 hrs ahead of time even though the room was ready. Terrible. Phils is not now I had to go around to pass time & come back to check in... 😐😏 The staff was nice but the room was not.

The hotel is cozy, clean and the location is great! It’s walking distance from hospitals and also near SM San Lazaro. We stayed here for a month and I didn’t have issues with my stay at all. It’s also very near an LRT station, making it very accessible if you plan to tour the city. The staff were also very attentive to our needs.

5 Stars from me. This is an excellent place located very close to the University of Santo Tomas (where I needed to be). It was my second visit, as I consider that the overall value, for the price paid, is superb. Very clean rooms - adequate for purpose. The staff at reception are lovely and always willing to help. Security guards are efficient, professional and extremely helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to other travelers. If only they could improve the quality of the Wi-Fi in the rooms it would be perfect. I would happily pay a bit more for good room WiFi. Having said that, the Wi-Fi in the Lobby is excellent, so I downloaded Netflix Films in the Lobby, to watch in my room. Thanks again Oriental Zen for an exceptionally good value experience.

It's not our first time to book and stay at this place, and every time, it doesn't disappoint us. Everything is a 5-star to me. From the reception area and speedy check-in system, the spacious room and amenities, and the courteous and kind hotel staff. It is located in the heart of the busy streets of Manila and very near to so many places you can roam around. Regardless if you are staying alone, with a couple or a group, this place is really a good and relax home for you. I definitely recommend this place to everyone. PROMISE, IT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT YOU!

Aircon not cold enough

The staff is very, very helpful and pleasant, doing their utmost to accommodate you. You get a daily pack of soap, toilet paper, teeth brushes, toothpaste, and other goodies. The staff was kind enough to provide us with two spoons and forks, but they had no plates or bowls to spare. Also, the staff was kind enough to provide us with a cord extender. The room we had was on the uppermost floor. Every time it rained, water-stains would show up on the ceiling and walls. My girlfriend left her backpack leaning on one of the walls. After it rained, the wall and her backpack were completely wet. If you have respiratory problems, have in mind additional health costs after your stay here.

I'll start with the most important issue: the room is *NOT* soundproof! There's a construction site across the road and it's a racket ALL day long! Traffic, random shouting, every single noise can and will be heard very acutely in the room. The room *doors* seem to be soundproof, meaning people outside of your room won't hear you, but the big window panes looking out on the street and the construction site are *not* soundproof. We had to hunt for earplugs and a facemask for sleeping, because we were getting so tired every single day from the lack of sleep. You can find those in the Japanese Home Center, by the way. The "kitchenette" is a joke. It's just two small cups, two glasses, two teaspoons and a water heater. There's no plates or cutlery of any kind. Not even a portable gas grill/stove. Forget about making even the simplest foods here. Internet is just a straight out scam. It's abhorrently slow and cuts off every few minutes. It's completely unusable. Just forget about it, treat it like the hotel doesn't have WiFi. Fortunately, I got really cheap and fast unlimited data at the airport. Even the staff themselves told us we should count on having internet. The TV is very small and its speakers are really bad. They're very low volume, and the sound clips at any louder volume. Forget about immersing yourself into watching something on it. Electricity. Something isn't quite right with it. When hot water is running, one of the lights randomly turns on and off. That seems like a disaster just waiting to happen. Aside from that, you have a grand total of one (1) available outlet, since all of the others are occupied by lamps, routers, TVs, etc. I've plugged out the router, lamps and the TV since they were useless anyway. All of the outlets are flimsy.

It is very hot in the lobby! The electric fan is not continuously working as you need to stand in front of it before it turns on. So basically, there is no proper air ventilation in the lobby.

Fantastic value reasonably priced rooms. Clean, comfortable and well furnished. Reception staff are lovely. Always happy to help and assist. Security Guards are excellent.
