The area did not feel safe at all. The building was very old, and the room was much smaller than expected. The property was also very difficult to find, and the check-in process was frustrating and unprofessional. Even though I had informed them of my arrival time in advance, the room was clearly not prepared for my arrival. It was extremely hot inside, almost like a sauna, and it took quite a long time for the room to cool down. We also had to wait around 15 minutes for someone to come and let us in, which made the whole check-in experience feel poorly organized. Privacy was another major issue. The curtains do not provide proper privacy, and because there is a shared terrace directly outside, people outside can easily see into the room. Overall, the experience felt very different from what was presented in the photos and listing, and I would not consider it worth the price.

Es en un stio horrible. No puedo creer que vosotros conocéis el hotel. Algo así no se puede poner en vuestro programa. Olía mal, era sucio, hay una subida que es imposible de llegar sola con las maletas. Por todos lados hay basura. Tenéis que ir vosotros mismos para ver lo y quitar lo de vuestro programa. Porque nada lo que ponéis en la descripción está virrecto. Me he alejado totalmente de vosotros. Ya no tengo fe un vuestros ofertas.

Tutte le parti comuni e l’esterno: la struttura è priva di insegna che indichi che si tratti di un hotel. Nessuna persona presente in reception. Umidità in camera, odore sgradevole nelle parti comuni, sporche e trascurate. Le fotografie non corrispondono per nulla alla realtà, sia per quanto riguarda l’esterno che l’interno.

Location, tranquillità, silenziosità e personale super gentile e disponibilissimo. Gentili a farci lasciare i bagagli in hotel 5 ore extra l’ultimo giorno.

Stanza umida con odore di umidità, letto non comodissimo e scricchiolante, acqua del bagno continuava a scendere senza fermarsi, odore di pipì di gatto all’ingresso della struttura (non in camera ovviamente).

The facilities are very old. The bathroom also with old renovation. No towels were changed even after 2 days.

Very confortable and clean room and the location in Beyoglu is great ! Tophane tramway station is also very close, ideal to reach the historic ottoman area

Πολύ μεγάλα άνετα δωμάτια. Εξαιρετική τοποθεσία.

Είχε μυρωδιά μούχλας στο ένα εκ των 4 των δωματίων που είχαμε αλλά μας άλλαξε και λύθηκε το θέμα . Απλώς η συμπεριφορά του υπεύθυνου ήταν ελάχιστα ειρωνική αρχικά.

Easy, convenient place to stay for a great price! Live music comes from the restaurant next door which is a treat. The staff are accommodating, helpful and discreet. Would book again :)

The Loft liegt in einem lebhaften Stadtteil mit schönen Restaurants, Cafés, Geschäften , Galerien und einer interessanten Mischung an Menschen und unzähligen Katzen.

The Loft Istanbul entspricht nicht den charmanten Fotos auf booking.com. Das Haus hat entweder seine beste Zeit längst hinter sich oder es wurde mit Photoshop nachgeholfen. Es ist keineswegs so hell und freundlich, wie dargestellt. Offensichtlich gab es irgendwann Wasserschäden, welche übertüncht wurden, was noch angeht. Allerdings durchzog alle Räume, in denen wir waren, ein unangenehmer Geruch, der mit einem seltsamen Parfüm versucht wurde, zu überdecken. Auch durch dauerhaftes Fenster öffnen wurde man diesen unangenehmen Geruch nicht los. Eines der zwei gebuchten Zimmer hatte eine alte Küchenzeile, ohne jegliches Geschirr, Messer, etc. - wozu überhaupt? Die Räume selbst waren sehr sauber. Diese allerdings als als Deluxe Suite zu bezeichnen, ist ein schlechter Scherz. Die Terrasse wirkte wie das Äußere des Gebäude, anders als im Netz dargestellt, etwas herunter gekommen. Vom Personal war selten jemand zu sehen. Alles in allem kein Ort zum Wohlfühlen.

The location is excellent and very safe, and Taksim, Galata, and the Bosphorus are all nearby. The hotel is excellent for its cost , and the staff are helpful and supportive at all times, especially Memet

The room was a good size, the beds were comfortable, and the area is great.

Unfortunately a rcafe bar at the end of the street playing thumping music on both Friday and saturday night until early am. It was loud enough to hear through closed windows so I didn't have a particularly restful night. Not the hotel's fault but it did spoil things.

Beautiful little hotel in the middle of Beyoğlu. Staff here are very professional and courteous, and the room very clean and with a few nice amenities for the bathroom as well as tea.

Perfect location, staff was super accommodating, communicative and helped me with my bags. I loved staying here and look forward to staying.

It was a place we chose from many alternatives and said we were glad we chose it. Everything was clean, we had a lovely stay without a single question mark in our minds. The location is great, it made our job easier. I would also like to thank the staff who were very welcoming. We were very well received. We will definitely choose it again in the future.

The hotel’s location was excellent. Everything I wanted to visit in Istanbul was within a pleasant walking distance, including Istiklal Street and Galata Tower. There’s also a nearby tram station for easy access to Sultanahmet. The hotel itself was well maintained, and as a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe throughout my stay. Overall, I had a very happy stay in a clean and comfortable room.

The location was extremely central, putting you close to all the major tourist attractions. Although the area can be busy, the lively atmosphere actually adds a sense of safety. The room was cozy and comfortable, with fully functioning AC.

Our stay at The Loft Istanbul was great. You can’t beat the location, being so close to Istiklal, Karakoy, and Galata Tower, all at once as being in the middle of all attraction points. The room is cozy, and very well put together. We especially want to thank the staff for their exceptional hospitality. We’d absolutely recommend this place!

We felt super safe at this cosy little boutique hotel. The staff at check-in were really helpful and friendly, which made arriving easy and welcoming. Everything was clean and clearly well looked after, showing great maintenance. The location is fantastic, with many easy going and trendy local bars and restaurants just around the corner. Super easy to walk everywhere. W’d definitely stay here again.

Die Lage und das Personal sind genial, wenn man gerne im hipster Viertel wohnt. Hier ist immer viel los und man ist mittendrin.

Es war sehr hellhörig und das housekeeping sehr früh vor Ort, dafür war es staubig und dürftig ausgestattet. Für 1-2 Nächte völlig ok.

Hotel was like no one at reception but one guy everytime just one WhatsApp text away. They are very friendly and provide any service instantly. Rooms were spacious. And it was like you are living in your home not in hotel. Only issue was there are stairs to reach the hotel not direct on road so you have to walk few meters and get a car or taxi. Don't trust the pictures. This place is dingy and sad. Perhaps in a past life it was lovely but it's been neglected. The terrace is peaceful and I was fortunate to have it all to myself; however, the generator next door was loud. This was way overpriced for what it was. I'm not sure I woud have been happy with it for half the price.

Le personnel, adorable et très disponible. Je recommanderais cet hôtel pour les jeunes qui veulent profiter de la vie stambouliote. Le centre historique reste très proche et vous serez en plein cœur des quartiers les plus dynamiques et festifs. Hôtel très propre.

Ruelle en travaux mais il vaut mieux sortir et profiter de la ville que s'enfermer dans une chambre.

Bed and bathroom were comfortable. The hotel was easy reachable by tram and was located in a very lively area.

There was noise from surrounding bars until 1am every night, so we were unable to sleep very well. When we told the manager this, he apologized but there was nothing much to do. Also the hotel did feel a little bit like a hostel since there was not really a reception. I found it a bit expensive for what we got.

Amazing helpful staff thanks Mustafa and Valkin. Room was a good size, clean with a wardrobe. A pleasant room next to the patio. Excellent part of Istanbul with plenty of street life with cafes, restaurants and shops everywhere in all the side streets. An easy walk to Tram 1 to get to ferries. Also a short walk to the main shopping area of Istiklal up to Taskim Square. It’s a party area with bars and live music so can be loud. Otherwise a great stay. Loved my time in the French Quarter.

The personal service and recommendations about the city from the host Mustafa. A real gem in the big city of Istanbul. The room on the terrace was amazing! We are definitely coming back to this location!

Stayed in one of the terrace rooms and it was great! Comfy bed and really clean. A/C worked great and cooled the room down nicely at night. I did one of the organized pub crawls and it was very safe and convenient getting home at night. Mustafa the property manager was a great host and was really accommodating. Told me a lot about the area and what to do as he’s from the area. Would 100% stay again.

Absolutely Horrible – Stay Away from The Loft Istanbul! I rarely write reviews, but this place was so bad I feel obligated to warn others. We booked The Loft Istanbul for 4 nights, but the moment we arrived, we realized we made a huge mistake. We couldn’t even stay for a few hours – that’s how awful it was. The hotel is NOTHING like the pictures. It felt unsafe and run-down, like a forgotten basement hostel pretending to be a boutique hotel. The rooms were dirty, the air was musty, and everything just screamed neglect. It was genuinely scary. Not even exaggerating – the atmosphere felt eerie and uncomfortable, and we didn’t feel safe leaving our belongings there, let alone sleeping there. We decided to leave immediately and politely requested a refund, explaining how unacceptable the conditions were. But no – they flat out refused. No refund, no accountability, no apologies. It was a complete scam. Avoid at all costs. Don’t ruin your trip like we did. There are SO many better places to stay in Istanbul. This is not one of them.

The hotel is located in a very vibey area, and in walking distance of istiklal street, taksim square and galata tower. Wonderful location. Room is lovely. Also good service-particularly Volkan who received us, was extremely responsive, friendly, warm, extremely helpful. Definitely a place to consider for location and comfort. Tea bags were provided I wished there were coffer capsules too.

Wonderful location. The hotel is located in a nice and safe area, and in walking distance to Taksim square and Galata Tower. Room is very nice. Volkan assisted me with the checkin. Volkan was extremely friendly and extremely helpful and flexible with an early check in and a later check out which I really appreciated.

Location was perfect for our first time being in Istanbul. Walking distance to almost everything. The bed and the room were super cozy. I will soon been visiting again.

Gorgeous boutique place with high quality service. Very close to the new Galataport and also Istiklal Avenue, other touristic spots. Transportation is very close as well. The terrace was beautiful.

Traveling alone, I felt incredibly safe and welcomed. The staff were amazing, my room was clean, and the location was perfect for discovering Istanbul.

The staff were wonderfully kind, my room was pristine with a spotless bathroom, and I felt completely safe at the hotel, tucked in the trendy Cukurcuma part of Taksim. This put me close to many Taksim hotspots and just a short trip from Sultan Ahmet.

As a solo female traveler, I felt super safe and welcomed. The staff were awesome, the room was cozy and clean, and the location was perfect—close to Karakoy, Galata Port, Istiklal Avenue and Kabatas Pier.

My partner and I had an amazing stay. The staff were super welcoming, our room was a spotless, cozy retreat with a comfy bed. The location was exceedingly convenient.

The room was clean. However all the pictures do not reflect the reality. The front outside was filthy and no terrace was to be seen anywhere.

I am very sad to write this review because I could tell this hotel was very good in the past. Sadly, it's not anymore. The noise from the bars downstairs on any day of the week can be very annoying. The smelly and not-so-clean bathroom is not great, the silent and eerie halls and the fact that the bar does not work anymore are not great either. The fact that, as a solo traveller, I felt watched by the camera and received messages at night asking me if I had trouble opening the door was the worst part. On the last day, one of the staff followed me down the stairs in silence, and when I was about to leave, asked me if I was leaving... It made me not want to return.

We were given Room No. 3 instead of the 30 m² Deluxe Room with balcony we had booked and paid for, which we discovered being the No. 5. Despite being charged for the largest balcony room, we received the smallest, and the manager refused to refund the price difference, claiming all better rooms were occupied. The advertised “high-speed internet” was virtually non-existent. When we requested cleaning, no extra toilet paper or shower gel was provided—only one roll and a tiny 10ml bottle for a six-day stay. The toilet seat was loose with rusted fittings, the bathroom door didn’t close, and the shower base was moldy. A sewage smell came from the toilet. The toilet bin had never been emptied. A Smart TV was provided, but we were told we had to pay £7/day to use it—something not mentioned on Booking.com. Over six days, the bed linens were never changed, despite the cleaning requests. Our experience with Booking.com was equally frustrating. They offered no resolution, and the two representatives we spoke with struggled to understand English and therefore the issue. The property falsely claimed they upgraded us to Room No. 5—the one we had actually booked. Worse, our belongings were moved to this room without our consent while we were out, and we were simply told to collect the new keys later. The manager later admitted via text that our room had been given to other guests due to their longer stay—a decision that is not our responsibility. We consider this a breach of our reservation and requested a full refund for the six nights we were placed in a much smaller room than paid for. The manager blamed Booking.com for unclear listings, but the Deluxe Room with a 30 m² terrace is clearly shown on their site, and that is what we selected. Whether the fault lies with the property or Booking.com is irrelevant—we paid for a specific room and never received it. Neither party has issued a refund.

Breakfast was not available though it had been pitched during our booking. Staff was unavailable and non responsive to requests.

We stayed in the Deluxe Suite with a Balcony. The rooms have a great vibe and are spacious in general. It’s a 10 min walk to tophane station and walkable to galata tower. It’s located on a walk up street with a restaurant next to it. The restaurant has a live singer every night which we could hear from our room but we didn’t mind it all and quite enjoyed it. Overall recommend staying here if you’re ever in Istanbul!

We were trying to save a few bucks when we booked this hotel. Istambul was our final city of our 18 days Italy's trip, flying Turkish. Accomodation isn't 3☆ hotel for sure, the surrounding isn't maintained, 3 flight of stairs leading to the entrance was full with garbage bags. We were assigned a room that attached to the main building, separated. Tiny flying insects in the room. Main entrance always locked during our 5 days stay, only seen 1 other guest/s who must made the same mistake as we did. They need major renovation to stay in business. Location is good, for a few more $$$, you should be able to get much much decent accomodation or hotels close by. Picture on website taken 9nyears ago? Stay away or it will ruined your vacation.

Location was perfect. Close to everything. Like having your own apartment and you just request if you needed anything. Volkan made sure it happened.

Its in the deep heart of Istanbul, if you want to avoid taxi’s and just walk around taksim area this is the place to be.

The access to the hotel is with steep steps so if you are with luggage then get ready to do some serious exercise

Slightly bigger than average room size upstairs next to the terrace which gave the illusion of space. The terrace is used infrequently by other guests and feels like your own personal space.

The receptionist and staff also manage a sister hotel next door so are not on the property, but will attend to you once contacted. This is an apartment hotel, I needed to adjust my expectations. There is a restaurant on the corner which offers live music, this can be quite noisy but after a day of walking the streets exhaustion beat the noise.

We really enjoyed our stay - comfortable and walking distance to shops, dining & transport. Room was a little noisy late at night from nearby bars. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I had a fantastic stay at this small hotel near Galataport and Taksim. The location is perfect, just a short walk to both the Galataport t and the lively Taksim Square. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making me feel right at home.

Very unprofessional staff. Room cleaning was a joke. We found a hair bunch in the bathroom after cleaning. Rooms are super basic. Everything felt super low quality. The staff at the hotel bar were extremely rude and unpleasant. They wanted to pick a fight with my friends. Horrible experience.

Rattling fan in room; problems with power for phone charging; no physical reception assistance; problems with room lock; whatever this hotel may have felt like in the past, it now feels like management were absent and disinterested in the guest experience and had largely given up on the fit out. Things felt very tired and stale.

It was great to stay with them. Helpful staff, cosy atmospher, great location and clean rooms .I’d definitely stay there again.

Mainly the location. The vibe of those little streets, the sound, the energy and the colours made our stay very pleasant, but the lift itself is very basic. It serves the purpose and was ok for us, but you need to be conscious of what you need and want.

The building is pretty, and the little balcony is also very cute. The room is spacious but it’s very very basic and the room had a very bad smell of sewage, which goes away as soon as you open the windows but when you enter the room is not pleasant. The room is provided with water and tea but there is not coffee and even when we asked for it was not available. The staff is nice and always available, but they don’t provide any service or added value. They’re just there to give you the keys and take them back. The building has a beautiful terrace but they don’t use it. It could be amazing for breakfast or even for an aperitif…it’s such a pity to have it and not use it.

It was great. I would absolutely stay again. It was clean, and organized. So cute. The size of the room was great. I had an issue with the shower, they changed the shower hose right away. The street it was located was beautiful and so close to cafes, stores.

We were looking for a neighborhood that is close to attractions but with a not-so-touristy vibe. We found it here. It’s a good hotel. Accommodations: The room was big and featured a king-sized bed. The bathroom was reasonably sized, recently renovated and featured plenty of hot water. Attentive: The hotel has a reception area but no front desk per se. There is an intercom at the front door and a WhatsApp number. It worked out. You have the option of daily housekeeping, which we used and found to be quite good. The staff we dealt with were friendly and spoke good English. Noise: Our first night was in room 06, which is very cute. Because there are restaurants and bars nearby, the noise level was too much for us. We moved to room 02 -- and it was much, much better. Consult the hotel before you go. Important: The hotel is at the end of an alley and inaccessible by car. There are many stairs to get to the hotel's entrance; once inside, there is no elevator. Location: Loved the location. Plenty of coffee shops, bars and restaurants are within walking distance. The main pedestrian street of Istiklal is about an 8-minute walk. Taxis: Gave the drivers with the hotel address & arrived without a problem, including the airport.

Everything about the place was great, comfortable, clean and close to public transport links.
