Fantastic big room, everything looked clean and new. Lovely decor, friendly staff. The food was also brilliant. A great place to stay, would definitely book here again.

All the rooms are upstairs so if you have trouble with steps, might not be ideal for you.

the room was spacious, clean,nicely decorated and mostly well laid out. The toilet however was only separated from the room with a half length glass door. Bit odd that. Breakfast was average but plenty of it.

The pub and common area's were a little shabby. Parking, though requested when booking wasn't available. To be honest I would not stay here again.

There was nothing we didn't like

We only stayed for one night so we weren’t looking for luxury for the price we paid. Check in was friendly and informative and we were shown to one of the annex rooms at the back of the hotel. The room was clean, had tea/coffee, clean towels a bit small but adequate for our sleep over. We had drinks and dinner in the outside bar area and the food was delicious. Breakfast was also excellent with a really good choice. Location was also very good for access to the town centre.

The room was small and it would have been good to have a seating area but it would have been a tight fit.

Loved the location it was great! I went for my 30th birthday and we stayed in room 10, it was top floor and the room was huge.

It was a great location, clean and tidy. It was comfortable and a great location. Excellent Asian food in the bar, good selection of beer and a fantastic cooked breakfast. Excellent outside seating at the front. Polite and friendly staff.

I have no complaints. It wasn’t super luxurious but exactly met my expectations and was excellent value for money. In fact it was so good we booked to stay another night a few days after the first as a stopping point on our return home from a trip to Newcastle.

The location was perfect to explore Harrogate. Very comfortable bed, larger than expected. Great bar and restaurant, we had some excellent Thai food for our evening meal on the outdoor terrace. Staff were super friendly and the breakfast was cooked fresh to order from the menu and was delicious.

We arrived earlier than check in, hoping to have some lunch and a drink, however as we had a case we were asked if we were staying at the hotel by the barman and directed to the reception, we were informed our room was available and checked in.

Clean, lovely toiletries, iron and board, fan, sparkling and still water provided. All possibilities catered for. Good breakfast with plenty of choice.

My only suggestion would be a bigger bed. The beds are lovely and comfortable but for the size of the room it could take a a king or even a superking

The room was lovely and clean. Nice added extra touches for tea and coffee and bath products.

Bed was uncomfortable, dressing gowns were abit tatty. First gent who greeted us wasn't as friendly as the second guy who actually checked us in.

We were in the annex (13) which is essentially a converted outhouse in the car park away from the main building. Bathroom was falling apart, no ventilation so water dripping down walls. You’re essentially sleeping next to a small road also. The pictures make it look a lot better than it was and we were quite disappointed for a 4* hotel with 8.9 reviews. I assume the rooms in the main building were better but the annex wasn’t great.

The location was perfect. The rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good.

I found the stairs were difficult to get up and down especially with suitcases.

The staff were extremely friendly, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. We missed breakfast but the manager was amazing. He provided a lovely bacon toastie and coffee. The property is very clean, the bedroom had a roll top bath, balcony and comfortable bed. Local to all restaurants and bars. Would definitely visit again.

Great welcome and reserved parking. Location is great so we ate out for dinner, particularly as we are not 'asian food fans' and that is all that was available in the hotel. Breakfast was excellent.

The staff were very friendly and so helpful when my husband had difficulty getting into the room they found a small step to assist him. Good choice at breakfast. Had a evening meal which was lovely.

The weather has been very hot, fan was ok, had the windows opened but very noisy with the morning traffic, difficult to sleep. Just a health and safety suggestion - maybe give a key to guests for the main doors leading to the hotel bedrooms, because the public have access to the hotel rooms.

The room was quite hot but a fan was provided. Being woken up by the bin men collecting glass bottles at six in the morning.

Welcoming traditional and comfortable. Location was perfect for walking to everywhere in Harrogate town. It was a lovely stay and we were upgraded to a lovely large room, it was gorgeous.

It suited us for everything we needed and there was nothing we didn’t like about the property. We didn’t eat at the restaurant so can’t make a judgment on that.

Booked for 1 night only so just booked a standard room but was upgraded to a beautiful room with a massive comfy double bed. It's had a great walk in shower too. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the pub in the evening had a busy vibe serving thai food. Lovely seating area outside. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful with good quality ingredients.

We had to carry heavy cases up 3 flights of steep stairs. Nobody to help and I'm on chemo so get very tired. The window in the room was overlooked by the properties behind with no blind to screen you.There was a fan but it wasn't enough to cool the room .

It was hard to find it as the sign wasn’t immediately noticeable.

Helt makalöst rum (nr 2) med ett badrum en trappa upp. Mycket stor och bekväm säng. Allt var superbra. Mycket god och rejäl frukost. Fanns mycket varma menyer att välja på.

Fanns inget att ha synpunkter på förutom att det är en pub under så det kan bli livat på kvällen och är det livemusik så får man acceptera den tills det är stängning vid 23 tiden.

Nothing we didn't like. Minor niggles, we were in a top floor room with freestanding bath in the room and a balcony so that was lovely. Just needs a couple of tweaks to make it perfect, such as a hook in the bathroom to hang clothes/nightwear, the room needs a full length mirror and the mirror in the bathroom is very low and could be moved up a bit. Stayed 3 nights on a very hot week. Had water bottles the first day of arrival but they were never replenished and we were told we would be charged if we wanted more. However we were offered a carafe of tap water to take up to the room.

Fantastic location. Great and welcoming staff . Good breakfast lots of choice . Stayed in the family room which was great and ample room Reserved our car in for parking at the rear of the property . Great tea and coffee lots of it supplied . Didn't eat at night there just but menu did look good . Would not hesitate to book again

Only wish larger occupancy rooms were available in some of the roll top baths rooms where you could pay extra to stay . And of course break away coming to an end is always a dislike of mine especially when your accomadation is good as this hotel is
